Just had a 4.4 quake above our house
about 8 mile away. What a surprise. All of a sudden I felt the house drop.. and then drop again. I suspect with all the quakes going on around the planet it was our turn. At least there was no damage and no one was hurt. Geesh, I hope Mauna Kea isn't waking up.

Re: Just had a 4.4 quake above our house
Thank you Celine. Everyone is fine and were quite excited as we were trying to sort out how large and where. I just hope Pele keeps to her side of the island.

Re: Just had a 4.4 quake above our house
Yes, Pele, Goddess of Fire
Hawaiian Volcano Goddess Her poetic name, Ka wahine `ai honua, the woman who devours the land, is both creator and destroyer. She throws molten fountains into the air, governs the great flows of lava, and has been known to reveal herself throughout the island of Hawaii. Pele is a goddess of fire, lightning, dance, volcanoes and violence. No Kahiki mai ka wahine `o Pele, Mai ka `aina mai o Polapola, Mai ka punohu a Kane, Mai ke ao lapa i ka lani. Translation: The woman Pele comes from Kahiki, From the land of Polapola, From the rising mist of Kane, From the clouds that move in the sky.

Re: Just had a 4.4 quake above our house
Hi Carol, I'm glad to hear that you are o.k.
Like Moxie, I used to think that Hawaii would be the last place I would want to be during the earthchanges. But I have read many times how Hawaii would be spared any great catastrophic changes. Something to do with its vibrational frequency due to its lat./long. position on the planet. By the way, this just in from Miriam Delicato's site March 8 2010 http://www.bluestarprophecy.com/eart...ca-japan-area/ "Earthquake Coming Again ! North America Japan Area I am feeling the movement of the earth again.Yes… again. I have been banging into walls for two days. Today I felt swaying that means it is closer to me. Also it was a strong swaying feeling and that says the quake will be strong. I tell you this so that you can prepare. Water, batteries, plan the basics. Know that if you stay calm you will be safer then if you hold fear. Also, I think it will be in North America or across the water from where I am in BC, maybe Japan area. One thing I know is that it will be closer to ME than some of the last quakes. So, hold calm and send it to the earths heart. This will happen within the next four – five days. Love Miriam Take care everyone and keep safe. |

Hi Carol, your plans for an underground egg-shaped structure make more and more sense. Your level of preparedness must certainly inspire others around you to do the same. God bless and keep you and yours safe on your beautiful island.

Re: Just had a 4.4 quake above our house
Oh wow! We just had a huge double rainbow over the house from the garden area to the chicken tractor. It was full bodied - colors beautiful.
Thank you everyone (Shaynard, Céline, Moxie, yiolas, pedro, SWIFT, monique, Stargazer1965, Steven, sunflower) for you kind thoughts and positive energies. We really are blessed here. The sun is shining and it's raining.. rainbows out the window. Big island feels like living in California ~ only on the north end of the island it is like perpetual springtime. I did get island fever on all of the other islands and could only stand to stay on them for two weeks... but Big Island has over 4,000 sq miles which was a big as the last county we lived in, in northeast Oregon. The primary downside is an active volcano on the other end and it cost a mint to visit relatives on the mainland. Stargazer, we usually have one a year where we are located. Can't live on an island with an active volcano without a little shaking. Kind of like shake and bake. We live on the opposite side of the island as far as one can be from the volcanic activity. There are more quakes on that end. Steven your prayers pedro your light covered our home in rainbows. SWIFT, hotter in the next two weeks? In what way? Monique, the last Chilie quake of 9.2 in 1960 took out downtown Hilo here. This Chilie quake of 8.9 the Tsunami was only 3 feet high so all is good. We were indeed fortunate. Not so fortunate for the people of Chilie though but at least they were prepared because of the quake in 1960. Sunflower.. I'm even more committed to building that Sea Egg given other forthcoming information.

Re: Just had a 4.4 quake above our house
Moxie? Is'nt amazing how far across water you have to travel to get to Hawaii? As far and as long as you fly across continental U.S.,thats how long and far you fly across WATER to get to Hawaii. SO nice there though.
I've never been to the Big Island, but I hung out in Honalulu and Kuai a couple of times. I loved it. I had serious anxieties flying over all that water. Nice place to call home Carol. Glad your safe. |
