Thumbs up Upside Down: Symbols of Life/Death Eduardo Galeano

This latin author is the author of the book that Chavez gave to Obama, "The Open Veins of Latin America".

And another book:
"Upside Down primer for a looking glass world"
"In ancient times black, the color of the rich earth that sustains us, was the symbol of life and white the color of bones was the symbol of death."

Here are some very interesting excerpts from the book that give insights into the Latin American mind and also on the problems our children will face. (After, of course the end of the world in 2012.

Very interesting reading!
