The Duality of Light and Dark
The Duality of Light and Dark
The darkness can be used as a tool to harness or repulse the light. The duality of the universe is a system of balance. Each aspect of light and dark holds a purpose. Light - the energy of love and expansion - positive polarity Dark - absence of Love - negative polarity The total consciousness involves both and is referred to as polarity consciousness. In our physical manifestation we experience both the negative and the positive. This allows us to learn and grow spiritually in the physical reality. Spiritual work involves both heavily. The Source of all Creation contains pure love energy. It is the source of the quantum black hole we live in called the universe. The dark plays a big role in holding the light in various expressions. We see the beauty of how the light is placed next to the light. We can comprehend shapes and form. There are many frequencies of light and dark in the spectrum of creation. Your soul gets to explore all areas of the physical, mental, and spiritual. Although you are a connection to the source, your soul journey can choose to be in solitude or connect. But either way, your path is of your own making. Being a creator you have this freedom. Although, in the physical journey there are many more limitations and many great lessons can be learned with the light and the dark. As you spiritually evolve you move through different stages of challenges and gain more wisdom along the way. Your soul is eternal. And the universe is infinite. But for now, enjoy your time here on planet Earth. And I hope that you re-discover your beauty within. May we look at life as a gift of personal self exploration and reflection. Whether we choose to connect to light or dark, either way you are evolving in your own unique way. Your unique vibrational frequency is special. Peace, Kevin |

Re: The Duality of Light and Dark
Have a watch of this it's all about the battle of light and darkness. The music folds very well into it.These are parallels on what's ongoing now but from an historic point of view-not much changes except the timeframe and the principles are the same power, secrecy and greed overcome by truth, love and giving.

Re: The Duality of Light and Dark
We can clearly see the light with the dark. And form takes shape.
We can now comprehend the lesson of duality. |

Thoughts on Non Attachment
The Essecnce of non-attachment is to remember that we are not defined by people, places, or things. Money, relationships, possessions, successes, and failures do not define our worth or right to happiness. For the Buddhist the definition of love is to make other people happy. Loving Kindness toward ourselves is the simpliest way to make ourselves and others more joyful. When we love our hearts are open, like the lotus flower, unattached and free of fear. Blessed Be! Re: The Duality of Light and Dark
An Excerpt from Voices of our Ancestors
by Dbyani Ywahoo Renewing the Sacred Hoop "Without spiritual foundation there can be no society. Without spiritual practice confusion reigns. Even the softest prayer sends vibrations of prayer moving through the air, just as the guitar strings stir the piano's song. To call forth the voice and to sing in joy and harmony, to let the beauty flow in our hearts, is something all of our elders have talked about, saying to us, "Let us pray together, let us do things together,"...When we join our hearts in prayer, in singing, in sacred dancing, in planting things together, we are returning something to the Earth, planting seeds of good cause...The qualities of laughter, joy, and sorrow and our thoughts and actions weave the tapestry of life. Spiritual practice transforms ideas of conflict and develops perception of ourselves and the universe as energies, tones, complementary aspects seeking balance and resolution. There is a song in our hearts as a community of human beings...The song is of planetary peace, planetary cooperation. It is calling each of us to transform conflicting emotions, to reveal the inherent beatitude. Speak the best of yourself and others, recognize process and change and affirm the healing power of peaceful thought. Realize that our thoughts and actions shape tomorrow...Our hearts and the heart of the Earth are one." kindness mudra |

Art of Peace # 4
The Art of Peace is medicine for a sick world. There is evil and disorder in the world because people have forgotten that all things emanate from one source. Return to that source and leave behind all self-centered thoughts, petty desires, and anger. Those who are possessed by nothing possess everything. |

Re: The Duality of Light and Dark
You can only recognise light because you know the dark.
Be grateful for the dark, or you would have no appreciation of the light. We chose to be on this planet of free will. I feel absolutely blessed to be here in these very exciting times. Participating in the play we are all actors in. Where we get to write our own lines and choose how it all pans out, simply by our thoughts, words, actions, and most importantly our emotions. Love, light and peace to all who reside on Mother Earth. Last edited by angel3553; 11-07-2008 at 01:16 AM. |

Re: The Duality of Light and Dark
From the Dhammapada (translation by Thanissaro Bhikkhu):
Quote:
Now, I have a question, I would like to ask: Can happiness/liberation/enlightenment (or whatever you want to call the final goal of our lifes) finally only be realized by turning to the light as the Buddha indicates? Or can happiness only be realized by overcoming the duality? Or are these choices in essence the same, because our perception of light and darkness is an illusion, because actually there only is light in different distortions, there only exists light? What do you think? Love and blessings, Bagheera Last edited by Bagheera; 11-07-2008 at 07:41 AM. Reason: fixed grammatical error. sorry for my bad english |

Re: The Duality of Light and Dark
I know I'm happy when I'm in the moment where there is no duality ie., past or future, light or dark.... or any thoughts what-so-ever.
Peace in the present moment is my happiness. One 66 Last edited by One 66; 11-12-2008 at 11:57 PM. |

Re: The Duality of Light and Dark
The goal in theory seems simple.
The aim is to balance light and dark by experiencing both. The out come is a spirit that is seperate from both but supporting each in perfect balance. To become the central point between both points changes the real picture and you see and are one with the creator. This is the game called life. Macros |

Re: The Duality of Light and Dark
Great thread. This is the good stuff.
In all of this crazy stuff were into duality is the one thing that is evident every second of our lives. If life is going too well and your off in fancy land something negative always happens to give you a kick up the **** and bring you back down to earth. Im pretty sure its the reason good people die young sometimes. If you could look down on earth from above you would see the entire human race in duality. One side living in horrible conditions the other in comfort and abundance (although the scales arent that balanced. A majority in bad conditions). I was also thinking if the Vatican is the HQ of the PTB its interesting that there are two popes. The white pope and the black pope. Some people see the positive side to the Vatican others see the negative side so we then get the duality in perspectives. This stuff melts my brain |

Re: The Duality of Light and Dark
By my way of thinking, duality is most effectively represented by the Yin Yang symbol. At the center of the highest concentration of light is darkness, and at the center of the highest concentration of dark exists light.
Bagheera...may I address your question: Quote:
One must recognize each for what it is, and choose the middle path...knowing that each will play it's part and balance. The bottom line is...imho...enlightenment itself is widely misunderstood. It does not exist as a goal to be reached, when "finished"...it already exists within you. It just waits for you to see it in yourself. |

I am you and you are me and we are all together. You are God, big G.
That is a nice balance to be in. |

Yes, duality of light and dark can be appreciated. Compulsivity and fixedness gives duality a bad name, imho. |

Re: The Duality of Light and Dark
Two days ago I discovered and processed out a fixed and limited polarity of "worshiper/warrior", one I chose eons ago. I had had so much trauma and loss as both of these identities that I was trying not to have them anymore, but what we resist we seem to attract or have mirrored to us.
after about 20 minutes I regained the joy of these identities and a much fuller range of expression. For example, before I could only see myself as the propitiative fearful worshiper, but after processing it I could also co-commune with the One in joy and aesthetic adoration -- and every conceivable expression in between. A lot of negative energies out of my space. |

Re: The Duality of Light and Dark
I believe that neither exist. They are created so that we may experience them each and know the other. There is no seperation of the two unless we create the seperation. There is no duality unless we create the duality. It's such a wonderous thing to know that we are the creators of all and everything.
