What do Avalonians think of The Sacred Secretion? Whilst I'm familiar with some of the subject matter (pineal gland etc.), this seems to tie a lot of things together.

Beware the difference between tropical zodiac and sidereal zodiac. The tropical zodiac is great for understanding archetypes of personality, but the sidereal zodiac is used for astral magic and astral alchemy. Due to the precessional shift the sidereal zodiac is roughly 30 degrees out (a full sign away) from the tropical. My tropical moon is in Taurus but when practicing this form of alchemy, I noticed the energies get more intense during the moon transit with Aries for me.

When you consider that the Egyptian year started with the rising of Sirius above the horizon, which coincided with the flooding of the Nile, it should indicate how powerful the torsion effect of distant stars can be. In the book cosmic clocks (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cosmic-Clocks-Michel-Gauquelin/dp/0586081585), it discusses how when 1 of the 5 inner planets rise about the horizon, it can trigger a pregnant woman’s waters to break, inducing birth. Stars or planets rising above the equator seem to have a torsion effect on living systems on earth. Which is why the sidereal zodiac is more important than tropical in cultivating Amrita. You need to know where the stars are in the real sky above your head, not where they ideally should be based on a computer algorithm. I use the ‘skyguide’ app on my iPad when the sky is too cloudy to be seen directly above head.

In the Vedas they also do their sacrifices (sacrifices of pleasure I.e. abstaining from sex, food and other indulgences—whilst also chanting and offering prayers to their gods—during the full moon and new moon phases in the monthly cycle, due to the disruptive energies the new moon and full moon produce (New moon can be depressive and dredge up shameful memories from your past, which can lead to comfort eating or comfort sex to suppress those shameful feelings. Full moon can make you feel more impulsive and more prone to overindulgence in all the pleasures).

Just a few tips I’ve picked up from practicing this type of alchemy, took me a couple years of trial and error to figure out what I was doing wrong, because I was using the wrong zodiac and was therefore out of sync with the natural rhythms pulsing down from the stars above.
