It is weird.

I'm allways encouaged to get the flu vac. But i do not. Heck i'll lie and say i did to make some people shut up about it too.

But yes..... I havent had an Influenza flu.... IE the type that makes all you're muscels ake, and you just feel damn miserable and immobal, god... in years.


I will get a minor cold now and then... but they pretty much fall into the "headcold" category. Blocked/sniffly nose, mebee more on the side on conjested nasal cavaties. but yes, nothing that keeps you ill and in bed for a week, thats for sure.



And again - why are they not tellign us more about the people who have supposidly died from this.

Were they a bunch of people living in famine and poverty like the 12 or so that died from swine flu in mexico when they were realy trying to hype it up?

The government has been forced to take new steps to tackle seasonal flu after new figures showed there were 12 more deaths in the past week, and 738 people seriously ill in hospital.

The total number of deaths from this winter's outbreak now stands at 39, up from 27 last week, the Health Protection Agency confirmed.

Of those, 36 died from H1N1 swine flu, which is the most virulent of the two main flu strains circulating this winter. The other three died from Influenza B. All but one of the 39 was under 65, and four were under five years old.

The government will now reintroduce a media campaign to help tackle the outbreak. Labour, which earlier this week claimed the campaign had been axed, accused the government of a U-turn.

Some 61% of this year's victims were in one of the "at risk" groups who qualify for a free NHS seasonal flu jab, which include pregnant women, those with breathing conditions such as asthma and those whose immune systems are weak.

But just two of the 23 individuals had received the jab, which for the first time this year includes protection against swine flu, which claimed hundreds of lives when it began circulating in the UK in early 2009.

The figure serves to underline doctors' concerns that millions of people run the risk of infection, with potentially serious effects, because they have not been vaccinated.

The number of people with known or suspected flu being treated in critical care units in hospitals has jumped from 460 to 738 - a rise of 278 in a week.

I couldn't stay awake more than 10 min. It was hard to breath for those 2 days. I had to take 3 breaths for a normal one. Other than the breathing the symptoms are the same as an flu. Hot, cold shivers, headache, sweats and so on.

Sorry to hear that you are ill. Just wanted to ask you if you got a diagnosis of swine? If you have since recovered, it is not likely that you have had that particular strain. I had swine in 2009 and it took 30 days to recover. I hear that is pretty standard, even for healthy people. If you have not yet recovered, please, whatever you do, go easy on yourself. This flu relapses when you start to feel a little bit better. Make sure not to tax your immune system any further than it is.

My whole house hold has had a bad flu this christmas. It was suggested that we had swine flu but I dont know about that. What I find weired is that I was a good boy and took my vit D3 religously for 4 months prior to catching this. It does seem a rather harsh flu or whatever, left us all knackered, lack of appetite, high temps aches and pains with the dreaded headaches too, now six days in and I woke this morning thinking I was getting rid of it and my chest hurts, just like the proverbial chest infection pain with bad coughing.

My daughter was the only one to have the swine flu jab last year, and she has the same symptoms as everyone else, oh, and concentration is a bitch.

I had a rough time for about 4 days, nasty cough and a bit of vomiting starting boxing day, fever of 100+ the next two days, yesterday I just gave up and entered a pharmaceutical haze - today I've got a bit of a dry cough still but my appetite is more or less restored and I'm still taking a bit of advil here and there for throat pain and headache but I think I'm on the up and up.

Well, this kind of incident is not new by any means. I have seem many many old folks die from flu after being vaccinated, for many years. And it does provide a false sence of security that permits for exposure. All it shows it that the vaccine does not work, never has and likley never will. People are so shocked. They are shocked because they are asleep... and the wake up call was not kind.

In places that I have worked where all patients and all staff, except me, received flu shots I would watch them go down, one by one, some to their deaths, not staff dying, but only patients because they are already compimised in their condition.

Me? I haven't had a flu since 94, when I was severely stressed out from a life situation, that was my compromise, and it got me. I never never get a flu shot, nor should you.

This year the government (CDC?) announced that the flu shot does not work, so their answer was, triple the dosage... I would say this will likely triple your chance of getting the flu, either from the shot or from the compromised condition it causes in your body.

Lots of vitamin C and D3 is the natural defense if you feel you need help.
