There are a lot of militias in the USA, and many are apparently well armed. There is more of a risk of American militias fighting the American military than there is of them fighting UN troops. My guess a civil war would only occur with either the use of force after an infrastructure breakdown, or political unrest after a freely elected president were unconstitutionally ousted. There was barking about the latter in Trump's early tenure rumors of a coupe.

I don't see either happening. What will be interesting is to see what happens in the next federal election for the US president. The general public, I believe, is getting quite dissatisfied with the status quo. Should be interesting times
