Thought I would post before I go work out and hunker down for South Louisiana's coldest blast, continuously, since I can remember. Single digits with the wind chill and more snow. Unbelievable.
My Aunt Honey passed away and we had her memorial service last Wednesday. The next day her brother, my Dad, and her son-in-law went to the race track in New Orleans.
My aunt's given name was Lois.
In the first race they had a horse named "Aunt Lois". Naturally my father and cousin's husband bet on that horse.
She came in dead last.
My Aunt Honey always did have a sense of humor.

My favorite synchronicity story: it was discussed for quite a few days on the British media about 15 years ago, in the days before everyone had a cellphone.
A man was walking down the street, and was just passing by a public phone box. Suddenly, it started ringing.
Bemused, he figured he should stop and answer it.
It was his own wife, who'd dialed completely the wrong number trying to find him.
Mathematicians all over the UK spent hours trying to calculate the odds. (They were trillions to one. :) )

Just within the last few days I decided to start reading up on America's founding fathers. I chose a documentary called The Hidden Faith of Our Founding Fathers as a starting point. It explores the anti-Christian words and actions of Paine, Adams, Jefferson, Franklin and Washington as well as their involvement in the Freemasons and other secret societies.
I try to share what I learn with my 77 year-old mother, who lives in Connecticut. She's open-minded but tends to jump into debunk mode when I show her info that opposes her beliefs. We debate and have fun with it, so all is good.
Over a span of three days (that's how long it took me to watch this 3 hr documentary), I would email her findings from the film, and she would send me a debunking response. She did not want to believe that the Freemasons and the Founding Fathers were anti-Christian.
On the third morning, when I was ready to back away and not send her anything more, she emails me images of a big article published that morning in her local paper. It was on the history of the Freemasons in her area, Waterbury.
The synchronicity caught her attention. In her email to me, she said, "A coincidence?" I told her, "No, Mom. There are no coincidences."
And now she is bombarding me with articles about the Freemasons, Illuminati and the Jesuits.

In the late 90's I went to an alternative Spanish resort to do some Gestalt-ish group therapy. The place was a sort of retreat resort for arts, crafts typically introspective, and some therapy. There were four of us in the group not including the therapist. None of us knew each other before this.
A week after it ended I was walking through Covent Garden, London and I saw one of the people from the holiday retreat group. We were both surprised at the chance meeting since neither of us lived in London. After this a week later at London Waterloo train station as I was going down the escalators I met another from the group coming the other way. Turns out she was on her way to see the other final member. I don't bump into people I know in London very often. I can remember one or two times beyond this case in my 45 years. Add into this the close timing of the first chance meeting and the synchronicity of meeting another on her way to meet another ..the coincidence is baffling.
Some of the timing is staggered by a week but still it has always struck me as strange synchronicity. The group therapy with those three was profound and somewhat enlightening. The whole week at the retreat I had vivid dreams.
One bit of the therapy at the very end involved going on a mental journey and getting a gift from a wise one. Feels like it might be relevant. But I have no idea. It's the strongest memory I have of the week
***POST UPDATE***
Just to clarify the gifts we got from our respective wise ones were known to us at the time, for example I got a bottle of courage (attribute not the stout). It wasn't like the gift was an unknown future surprise. I think the way I wrote it might have implied that

That's a great story bill.
how do you view that, as a totally wild fluke? (Trillions to 1 odds)

Something like a possible connection to a higher ability, his wife going into higher self without realising?

Wonderful story, YoYoYo!! If we stop to think about our lives I'm sure we can all remember many happenings, that when we look back on them, didn't really just "happen"! There was some purpose & "someone" guiding things from above! :sun:

I can't remember if I've posted this here before, but this happened about 20 or so years ago.
My dad was the manager of the Royal York Hotel on the Isle of Wight at the time.
One day he received a phone call from his friend in London. He said "I know this sounds strange but could you please just check room number 135 for me as quick as you can, there might be a lady who needs your help"
So he rushed up to room 135 and knocked on the door, there was no answer so he unlocked the door and went in. On the floor was an old lady laying unconscious. So he rang for an ambulance, the paramedics managed to revive her a took her off to hospital. She'd had a heart attack.
My dad then rang his friend back in London, to find out how he knew about it. He said that he was in his office at work when his phone rang, on the other end of the line was a lady who said she needed help urgently and was at room 135 York hotel, the phone then went dead. The only York hotel he could think of was the Royal York Hotel so not knowing what else to do he rang my dad.
They where both completely blown away with the situation as to get an outside call from the rooms phone she would have to have known the correct code to bypass the reception, and the place where my dads friend worked she would have not only got the works number, but also the extension to get direct to his office!!
Anyway when the lady was well enough for visitors at the hospital, my dad paid her a visit.
When he asked her how she knew what to do, she just replied I just pressed the buttons on the phone randomly until she got an answer, but knew she would get help from somewhere.
Amazing story, and if it wasn't 100% true i wouldn't believe it!
Love and Truth,
Amenjo

Those stories are amazing and remind me of how magical and ordered the universe really is. I'm sure the people on Avalon have more than the average of these. I know I do. I could go on and on.
After I lost my son, I went to Fort Meyers, Florida to take a break. I got there through the most amazing set of synchronicities and divine guidance I have ever seen. However, I'll stick to one part.
I was laying awake, outside, crying and asked my son to send a shooting star if he was okay. I couldn't believe my eyes when a blue shooting star appeared and arced high across the night sky.
The next morning I walked out to the beach and said "I wish I would find a sand dollar." When I got to the water's edge, there on the edge of the surf were three perfect sand dollars. I still have one of them.

Several years ago I had a whim to buy a crystal point and had been browsing both Amazon and Ebay but never reached a decision to buy.
The very next morning walking my youngest to school a glint drew my eye on the pavement and I looked down to see a crystal point about 1.75" long. It felt like the universe just stopped for a second.
To this day it lies on the unit next to my bed less than 12" from my pillow.

Once when I was on Uni holidays, I went with a friend, cross country skiing and snow camping for 2 weeks. We went in the snow, to the top of the highest mountain in Australia. As it was snow covered and a white out, it was off limits to the general public, they simply could not get up there. When we got to the summit, there were another 5 people up there. Two were my next door neighbors and the other 3 I had slept side by side with on an expedition into the Queensland rainforests over a thousand miles away several years before. Neither group already there, knew each other. It was like a reunion.
When I was living in the U.K., in Scotland and a friend was living in London, she asked if we could meet in Spain as we discovered out holidays there overlapped. As she was staying in a different village, and we only overlapped by a day, I thought it would be just too difficult. As soon as we got off the plane and took the bus into the village, we found a place to stay and went down to the beach for a cool drink and a walk. We were only on the beach (me and my boyfriend) for 5 minutes and we bumped into her, also walking on the beach.
I saw a ufo on Saturday night. It went over the center of town and changed direction by 90 degrees after I noticed it. It was very bright and red. I tried to ring my friend to tell her but could not get through. I rang her the next day. I said that I had had a major ufo sighting the night before. She said that she had too. She was inside when her nephew called her out of her house to look over at the town center where they could see a red ufo. She then went back in and talked to her nephew about it. As yet, no one reported any sightings.

Dad always loved doing a random weekly Favourite Numbers Coupon which is a bit like lotto but with horses and jockeys instead. During Dad’s final days [terminal cancer] he had a preoccupation with the time and what day it was.
There were quite a few noticeable number 5 synchronicities around his last week including him repeatedly asking several of us if it was 5 o’clock yet. One day he asked if we could put a clock on the wall in front of his bed.
The next day we put a clock on his wall and later that afternoon when the clock showed 5 o’clock he took his last breath. It was the 8th day of the month. He was born on the 8th day of the month.
Because of these synchronicities we decided to check the Races to place a $5 bet in Dad’s memory on something 5-ish.
We were stunned to not only find a Race starting at 5:05pm but that horse number 5 in that race was called FINAL SALUTE and it was jumping from Barrier 8. The jockey also happened to be one of Dad’s Favourite Numbers jockeys.
We listened to the race on the radio and were emotionally touched to hear the race commentator say in the last 5 seconds, “. . . but FINAL SALUTE is just too good for ‘em”. I would’ve sworn that he was riding the horse with a huge grin on his face :)

I love these fascinating stories, thanks all for posting them. Ewan your description of 'the universe stopping' is perfectly apt. I felt exactly that when this impossible coincidence happened to me:
The carpark at work is pretty large. But as a creature of habit, I parked each day in almost the same spot – at the far end of one particular rank. There it would sit, my silver Audi A4, day after day for the five years I had it.
In the summer of 2009 I sold it to a used car dealer approximately 20 miles away, and exchanged it for a newer model.
Then about 6 months later, I pull into the carpark at work and head for my usual spot. As I drive round the corner, I see nearly the entire rank is occupied. In the end spot, where I normally park...my heart skips. I see a silver Audi A4. I look once, twice. Because to my amazement, with a dash horror, the registration number IS THE SAME as the car I sold 6 months previous. WTF is going on?! The universe stopped.
I later found out that a new employee started that day. He parked his car in my spot – an Audi A4 he'd bought a few months ago. The very same that I sold. Even funnier, when I starting talking to him about his car, he asked me if I wanted to buy it off him!!
Now the odds of this happening are very, very slim. If I worked and lived in a small community, there's a chance you might see a car you previously owned driving down the road one day. But I sold that Audi to a dealership on the other side of a large city, population approx. 500,000. Add to that all the surrounding towns and villages it's ~750,000 metro. Not a small community. The chances therefore of seeing your old car anywhere around is pretty small. The chances of it turning up in the hands of new owner in the same place you work, smaller still. And then sitting in the very same spot you parked it in for 5 years...wow. To this day, that coincidence (there are none) still gives me goosebumps.

When a meaningful coincidence happens, against impossible odds, there HAS to be some other factor operating.
It seems to me that this absolutely supports the idea that consciousness is senior to 'hard physical reality' — at least some of the time. :)
And, potentially — this is the exciting part, that these little signs all point to — ALL of the time.

I've seen so many of these co-incidences that it's so clear to me now that we're living in a realm pure magic. I'll give a few examples to start with that illustrates...
A few years ago I was realizing that our thoughts create 'reality' and I was experimenting with visualizing different things that came to mind. This particular time envisioned 3 unrelated items i thought would be fun to find very cheap at a thrift shop. A few days later i was with a friend and we decided to go browse through a thrift store briefly. As i took 2 steps into the store i glanced to my right to see all 3 items sitting next to each other on the same small shelf in a multi-level display rack!
Another time i was with a different friend hiking around looking for edible mushrooms in the wild. I had the thought that there could be a variety of mushroom that we never saw before because it was well camouflaged...about 1 to 2 seconds later i looked down to see a strange-looking black 'blob' which turned out to be one of the most bizarre mushrooms we'd never seen before. It looked like a small black pile of dung from the top...what a perfect disguise. (Image attached) ...We searched around that area a little and found around 100 more of these little morsels  I researched it later and found that they were also quite edible.

Here are two of mine. On reflection the odds must be pretty astronomical as to justify that there must some 'hidden hand' at work or the world is much smaller than I think it is.
One was during the summer of 1999 when I was on industrial placement when doing my PhD in the Harlow, Essex area of the UK, a 200 mile, 3-4 hour drive away from my normal residence. Some colleagues and I travelled by car to the centre of 'new' Harlow, a stupefyingly unattractive concrete jungle (http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5802/1324/640/Adam%20Clock%20Halow.jpg). It was while walking through the shopping area I came across a former college friend "just doing a bit of work".
Another was when I'd finished working as a contractor in the Chippenham, Wiltshire area in April 2015. Soon afterwards discovered that a former manager of mine at a software company I used to work for based in Penicuick, Scotland - 400 + miles away, and whom I had last seen some 8 years ago, had started work the following Monday at the very same Chippenham-based company. Incredible!

Great idea for a topic :) Perhaps my most memorable recent example of synchronicity happened when I was in a hospital room, visiting and talking with the person who had just been diagnosed with advanced cancer. We got to talking about hope. Keep in mind this is in the southern US bible belt, so around these parts when folks talk about spirituality, it's couched under the heading of "god".
Anyways, I'm there for about 15 minutes, chit chatting, and the person says to me, "I just feel like god forgot about me, I wish he would give me a sign that he's still there". As the same moment she said the words, "still there", there's a knock on the door, and the hospital chaplain walks in.

HI, I feel I have to reply to your wonderful story...
Two months after my mother passed away in july 2007, I and my husband went for a small trip for a couple of hours. It was the first time after her death I managed to leave our house for a longer period of time. We just drove out of town and to a beautiful area with windling roads, forests and lakes. Having our picnic basket with us, we searched for a place to stop. We saw a small parking space at one of the lakes and stopped there, more or less randomly. I got out of the car and looked at the ground, just by my feet lay two Norwegian new and shining coins.
The strange thing is that my mother was Norwegian and I live in Sweden about 600 km from the Norwegian border. Norwegian coins are not used in Sweden.
Why would we stop exactly there, on that day, on my first trip, and find these coins - if it not were a greeting from her to me?

Petra, it can seem like it whenever we feel that we are not in control,
but this is only so because we do not look at our thoughts or who we are.
As ACIM explains:
No one can waken from a dream the world is dreaming for him. He
becomes a part of someone else's dream. He cannot choose to waken from a
dream he did not make. Helpless he stands, a victim to a dream conceived
and cherished by a separate mind. Careless indeed of him this mind must
be, as thoughtless of his peace and happiness as is the weather or the time of
day. It loves him not, but casts him as it will in any role that satisfies its
dream. So little is his worth that he is but a dancing shadow, leaping up and
down according to a senseless plot conceived within the idle dreaming of
the world.
This is the only picture you can see; the one alternative that you can choose,
the other possibility of cause, if you be not the dreamer of your dreams. And
this is what you choose if you deny the cause of suffering is in your mind.
Be glad indeed it is, for thus are you the one decider of your destiny in time.
The choice is yours to make between a sleeping death and dreams of evil or
a happy wakening and joy of life.

I had a great synchronicity that happened to me when I was in my 20's.
I had a good friend called John, who everyone knew as "Fella". Unfortunately he passed a few years back.
We had met when I was 18 through the underground rave scene in the 90's. He was over 20 years older than me, but we got on like a house on fire from the moment we met.
Anyway several years after we met, I was round my parents house and my mum was clearing out a few things, and came across an old newspaper cutting with a photo of me winning first prize in the local carnival at the age of 8.
She passed the cutting to me to look at, which I did, and I turned it over to look at the back. On the back was a report about a John Hayward being caught by the police breaking into a local chemist. And yes you guessed it, it was Fella!!! I couldn't believe it, the write up was exactly the same size as my piece on the other side!
I have had so many incidents like this happen in my life it's uncanny.

Synchronicity does exist I think it maybe be some form of us individually tapping into a large consciousness or information stream to access information we need at that time.
I had an interesting one today, were I called my BF just after 5 pm to let her know I was running late in getting home, she was glad to hear my voice because as she said "I had just woken up a minute ago after having a really bad nightmare and it was comforting to hear my voice" and to know and was coming home.
Then just after the new year I was worried about a relatives marriage which lead to a sleepless night so I got up at 2.30am to watch the TV and distract myself from my thoughts.
The show that came on was Charmed and the first words the character spoke was "You can't make decisions for her she has to decide for herself." Which was well timed as I had been trying to convey to my relative some wisdom and I felt it had fallen on deaf ears, hence my sleepless night up to that point.
That short well timed phrase put my mind at ease as I knew beyond providing the wisdom it was up to her and him to make the change. Then I went to sleep shortly thereafter.
I like synchronicity whatever it maybe as it is useful unseen helping hand.

I hesitate to say this, but I don't always see synchronicity as a helping hand so to speak. Sometimes there's nasty ones! Petra, during a very strange time in my life, I believe there were negative forces hijacking my natural propensity to go with the flow and follow the clues of the universe. It led me into a very bad situation. Oddly, as bad as it was, I still feel, in retrospect, that I was shielded in some way, shape or form.
But, it taught me a very valuable lesson about the darkness out there and hopefully I've learned to be discerning while still maintaining friendliness and kindness. Ultimately, our heart knows the truth and it is important we stand up for ourselves and can say "no" as well as "yes".
Joseph Campbell was right on the money when he talked about the Hero's Journey. There are dark and light aspects. We have to battle the dragons and not go back to sleep.

Me too Villival! Although at the time I felt as if I was in terrible danger, after that was over, it just ended up feeling like a big stupid joke (pardon me!). It's a learning experience that's for sure. Almost feels like being "forced to learn", like when people toss kids into the water to teach them how to swim. There's a reason I don't know how to swim... and part of the reason is because the instructor said he wouldn't let me go. You can guess what happened next... I was so mad I was threatening to sue lol

I lost my manual on "How To Synchronise" in the last house move so I am winging it Petra. :o
Seriously, I agree firstly with all of Villival post above, pretty much had the same experiences.
The more you align with love, that is aligning your existence with your souls nature, and exercise your sovereignty over your body and mind the more the physical and mental attacks occur. But I keep these attacks in context as they are designed to draw me back into the influences of dark forces.
But if you persist in maintaining this alignment then the flip side is things like synchronicity and timely divine intervention in your life that provides support or guidance in some form seem to increase.
Dark forces main themes of influence are fear, division, despair and hopelessness.
This can manifest as terrible nightmares. Instead of thinking about the nightmare put it into context, know it's origin and purpose and then forget about it.
For example one nightmare I have on occasion is that my dog is being attacked by a ferocious pack of larger dogs and I am helpless in the situation. This is a nightmare that has been a result of some external influence trying to induce a state of fear and helplessness in me for whatever purpose, having placed that nightmare in context now I can go back to sleep because I know it is not a fear I have but one that has been induced by external influences.

While reading another posting by Merry Mom about an uplifting song, that reminded me of an example of synchronicity. A few times I've had a particular song "follow me around" so to speak. Like, every where I go it seems to be playing.
It might make me feel sad, it might make me feel happy, and it's hard to tell if those are bad or good. When it happens it kind of feels like the song is stalking me. It's less creepy if the song or song meaning is funny.
But if you persist in maintaining this alignment then the flip side is things like synchronicity and timely divine intervention in your life that provides support or guidance in some form seem to increase.
I can relate to that. It seems as if after I feel I've had a nasty synchronicity, if I can manage to get past it without any negative emotions, it will be followed by a reassuring synchronicity.
Dark forces main themes of influence are fear, division, despair and hopelessness.
I'd say upgrade the fear to "horrifying" and you'd be spot on. When I imagine what dark forces want the most, "horrifying people" seems like the darkest to me.
This can manifest as terrible nightmares. Instead of thinking about the nightmare put it into context, know it's origin and purpose and then forget about it.
I've noticed! As for it's origin, most of my nightmares have been so obscure that I have trouble believing it's coming from my own mind. I've boiled it down to more interference.

I started singing the Wizard of Oz song for no apparent reason an hour or so after posting, and I caught myself! "What the heck am I singing that for?"
I think I know why. Getting clumps of synchronicity feels like the universe is "showing off", kind of like how the Wizard of Oz shows off. And now it's doing it in my head. "If ever a wever a Wiz there was...." is just too funny to be creepy.

I've had some really meaning synchronicities with the song "Stand by Me". My son told me after he passed, that song was from him to me. The last one was when I joined this site and Bill had posted the video of that song being sung from musicians all over the world. What blew me away was Washboard Chaz, who featured prominently in my awakening and the other guy in Jackson Square, who I have seen on many odd occasions.
When I saw that video, I knew I was in the right place.

Unconditional love in the making and through the synchronicity you can become aware of it. Your love and truth has been received.
At the deepest level of yourself there is a flow of information between you and God, that information is pure, this information is not and cannot be polluted, it is the truth, a conduit of your love.

"José determined that the only way this situation could be remedied was to return to living in the natural timing frequency."
Vernaianawa, I am reading your linked article, but stopped to copy the above and comment on it.
I had some very strange things happen to me in 2012 and 2013, where reality flipped. This was astonishing to me. There were specific things I did which, in hindsight, accomplished this.
1) Ego left
2) Fear left
3) I decided to stay completely in the moment. This was easy to do, as I had been laid off, had a few bucks, and lived by myself.
What's interesting about the above quote, is (and I've never thought of the concept before your post) is it seems to explain what I did. I was virtually in another reality, which dovetails with this one, but had a different set of governing rules. This is very difficult to explain, but it happened. Synchronicity ruled in that reality. I had a huge, long adventure there. Thanks for the post.

Cool! This part kind of scares me though (it's bold on the site too)
We are leaving the world of pure sensory matter, and entering a world of mind and telepathy.
And then it says "time is not what a clock measures" and that made me laugh :)

This code also functions as the calendar. Everything operates holographically."
I know this is true because I lived it. Thanks.

Sounds awfully unnatural to me though.
Code... by definition can't occur naturally. I mean... it's code. Am I wrong?
Really makes my mind spin to think of myself as a hologram or as a program. I've kind of lived that part... I've already been convinced I'm both of those things.
Things tend to make a lot more sense now... and that's all I wanted really - for things to MAKE SENSE :)

Petra, as I experienced the code, it has to do with patterns, clues dropped in music, art, literature, nature and following your heart and instinct. It is an interwoven tapestry and when we awaken, we somehow align with the original pattern and then life becomes a series of miracles. And mind blowers. So, there really is no sense to be made of it. In fact, the more sense you try to make of it, the more off track you really are. Or at least for me. Believe me I'm just as confused as the most confused people who exist. So, I stand tall in my own integrity and let it go.
That said, I try to make sense of it all. :happy dog:

I kind of get this! I mean, when the nonsense starts to make sense... there's something wrong with that clearly.
Even the smiley face attached to the doggie icon seems to know something I do not! :P
I think there's always order to be found in so called chaos, and I don't really believe in random. Maybe it's just the way my mind works, I don't understand infinity either (and sometimes it kind of makes me mad!)
That said, I try to make sense of it all. :happy dog:

Years ago, I purchased the record album Synchronicity by the English rock band The Police. I didn’t have any understanding of what the word synchronicity meant, but during that same shopping trip, I happened to purchase a book entitled Man and His Symbols which was edited by Carl Jung. On page 226 of my copy, I read that “Dr. Jung put forward a new concept that he called synchronicity. This term means a ‘meaningful coincidence’ of outer and inner events that are not themselves casually connected.”

I have that same album, purchased in the early 80's. I used to throw big parties with my (back then very expensive) $700.00 stereo system and play this and other Police albums. Fun and crazy times.
Synchronicity is God's way of manifesting Himself.
Chanie, it's odd how often that type of thing happens. Your instinctual body is drawn to things without your mind consciously knowing. They are clues dropped for us to find.

'Synchronicity is God's way of manifesting Himself."
I would humbly say that is a "loaded" statement. I'm beginning to agree with Lionel when he states this..."I don't speak God". Each person has his or her own interpretation of who or what "God" is. People all over the world pray to the generic "God"; each one with his or her own conception of who that "God" is.
I submit that there is much more going on in this Universe about which we understand little. The tales from Jordan Maxwell's early life point to this; Bob Dean's as well. I know Bill & Kerry had many "happenings" in their travels too. There seem to be layers of "authority" about which we comprehend little. I suppose that is why it is important that we always remain correctly aligned to what is Light; not the Dark.
:flower:
I recall C.A. Fitts speaking about her "protection" & for that reason could not converse on certain subjects. Each of us has had moments when we realized, after the fact, we too have had "protection".

Thanks Fox. I don't pretend to know who or what God is. That is a miracle too big for me to comprehend. I do NOT have an analytical brain and when I write or talk about any of these things, I have only one place from which to draw and that is my own, personal, as real as I'm typing now, experiences.
It was only one thing I was shown and the whole experience was very, very long and very, very confusing. Not to be understood by mortal men; myself included.
Stay cool, little princess. You are the best.

Here's another story. I had gotten laid off from my job at the Tulane National Primate Research Center. I went through an awakening process and was still going through it when I was at a book/music store which had a bin of free stuff out front. I took "A Course in Miracles" along with a workbook that went with the books.
A few weeks later I was thumbing through the workbook and there was a piece of paper with the letterhead "Tulane National Primate Research Center" on it and the drawing of an eye, very detailed, with the iris quite well done. They had three words with arrows pointing to different areas of the iris. The words were love, truth and beauty.
I was quite stunned to say the least and showed it to my boyfriend. That piece of paper has since disappeared and I can't find it anywhere.

True story. My son died May 15, 2004. A few years later, my niece who is about three or four years younger, was graduating from high school on the same day my son passed. I went to the graduation, which was from the same high school I had attended. I graduated in 1979.
We went to eat at a nice restaurant afterwards,, much of my family was there. I was feeling a bit sad, as it was the anniversary of my son's death and my niece's graduation. My youngest niece, who was conceived the same week my son passed, went on the outside porch with me, so I could have a cigarette. She was about three.
Because so many people were celebrating graduations, someone had left a heium filled white balloon and it was floating under the outside porch of this restaurant. She and I went out and were sitting there and she began to play with the balloon and I admonished her, as older folks do to younger, that the balloon would catch the air and fly away, if she was not careful.
Sure enough, at some point she let go of the balloon and we both watched it waft away, higher and faster as the wind took it. She was not sorry to see it go. She has a hard head like me and wouldn't amidt I was right. So, we both watched it sail away.
We all finished our meal, paid, kissed each other and all went to our respective homes. I had no sooner walked in the door of my house when my phone rang. It was my sister. She said '''Valerie, right when we pulled up to our house, that same balloon floated out of the sky, down to the lawn and Saylor (my niece) got out of the car, grabbed the string and walked into the house like it was the most natural thing in the world."
Seriously, what are the odds?

For twenty years, before moving out of my home state, once a year I would take a weekend just for myself. I’d stay in a lovely, rustic inn, taking my books and some nice wine. I’d visit the state bath house for steam baths, mineral baths and massages each day. Each time I would return home new and rejuvenated.
One day while having lunch at the Inn’s pub I was reading one of my books. The subject was on reincarnation, the evolution of the soul and how we are here to learn; sometimes being the student and at other times the teacher. I had just read, “When the student is ready the teacher will appear.” At the moment a different waitress brought my order. She asked if I needed anything else, glanced at my book and then said, “Next time I’ll have to put you at the head of the class.” I looked for her but never saw her again. The original waitress that had taken my order was the one that brought me my bill.

This may fall under instant karma and not synchronicity, but here goes.
This morning I was going down the highway in my truck, to buy some plants. I saw a young man walking on the side, with a gas can in his hand. Since I was in the truck I offered him a ride, as he could ride in the back and then I didn't have to explain any bad ending stories to God because of my trusting nature.
I bought him to the station and back to the place he had run out of gas.
This afternoon, my boyfriend and I were riding the motorcycle to go to do another errand. We made our purchase and started home, in the rolling green hills of the beautiful countryside. Well, we ran out of gas.
Almost immediately as I began to walk, realizing we had miles to go, I stuck my thumb out and a gentleman stopped (in a commercial truck) and gave me a ride. James stayed with the motorcycle. I was bought to my front door, got the gas can and returned in my car within 10 minutes.
It all happened like magic.

Posting on Ramus' thread about Kirk Nugent's Spoken Word, reminded me of another synchronicity. I had read a book called "Desolate Angels, Jack Kerouac, the Beat Generation and America" a few times before I went to San Miguel de Allende in about 1991.
The night I was in San Miguel, I was reading this book again and got to the part where Neal Cassidy, bless his heart, attended a wedding in San Miguel many years before. Having consumed too much alcohol and assorted pharmaceuticals, he collapsed and passed out, only to die on the railroad tracks in that very city.
I had never noticed that before. Or I should say I had never consciously noticed the place; until the night I was there.

My boyfriend is a chef. He worked with a man named Bo, who was an old free spirit. Bo had been a coach of racquetball and basketball in his younger years. He was quite a character; a man who loved astronomy and knew the night sky very well, in addition to his love of music.
My boyfriend went to make a delivery of food one day. There was a concert of dulcimer music going on. Being the kind soul he is, and knowing Bo would love it, he called the shop and without telling Bo why, said he had to get in the truck and come right away.
Bo was in heaven when he got to the auditorium and didn't want to leave. He was just delighted.
Well, Bo passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago. We received a text from his brother. Another week or so went by and one day we saw Bo's obituary in the paper. It was the only day it was in the paper.
Unbelievably, as we both read the paper and have for years, on the same day there was a write up with photos of the Dulcimer Society meeting.
We had never seen that in the paper before. What are the odds it would be there on the same day as Bo's obituary?
We both smiled knowing it was Bo's sense of humor and love coming through from the other side. It was his way of saying good bye.

What beautiful posts on this thread. Thank each and every one of you for sharing such personal and sometimes heart wrenching stories.
I have one that comes to mind I would like to share.
A while back I had worked in hospice care and I was with a lady by the name of FERN. I thought it such an unusual and unique name. She was tiny and did not ever awaken before she passed. So, we never had a verbal conversation. I still talked to her. I remember being irate with the nursing care b/c she was moaning in pain and needed her medication administered yet, they would not come to help her.
I had come in to work my shift and immediately sent home. It was Fern's time to go apparently. Her family was surrounding her.
I was driving home and on the highway a vehicle passed me with the license plate F E R N. In my mind I knew she had passed on. When I got home I received a call telling me she had gone. I always wanted to know her.

I seldom remember my dreams, but about a year ago I had a very strange dream (not lucid or scary).
I was in a big spaceship with little gray type aliens, and in one sequence of my dream I was teaching a little gray to play ping-pong or table tennis, crazy right?
Well Yesterday I walked passed an office window which had a life-sized sculpture of an alien gray type holding a table tennis paddle in his hand, looking at me !
WTF!?
Update 2019-06-12 My friend living in the are, was kind to send me a photo of it.:D
In right hand It's holding the pingpong paddle ( with a photo of George Michael !? on the front sheet rubber ). Left hand holding a pingpong ball.
It looks a lot like the alien in my dream , same size and proportions ! But not gold coloured and deffo no pic of George Michael on the paddle .
Why do I who rarely remember a dream, remember this absurd dream "teaching aliens to play table tennis,
and 3 weeks later walking down a street in a part of town I hadn't been to for years in a display window holding a table tennis racket, what are the odds of that?
I'll keep wondering about this Mystory til I die...
and maybe then I'll get the answer.

Thanks for this thread - I was about to post a similar one but saw that this one is here. Anyway... For those of you that have experienced synchronicity how do you explain it? I'm not sure if I've experienced it or if it's just coincidences. Also if I am experiencing it...it isn't helping. Kinda random:
I fell out of shape due to life but have been getting healthy again over the past few months. I 'like' to do 5k run/walks; walk to this stop sign, run to that one, etc. I came up to one particular street that is kinda dangerous. It's a sort of a 5 way intersection. It's in the suburbs so not too much traffic but close to a major road so it gets more traffic than normal. Also you can't see anyone coming from the street I turn down. So I'm at the end of my walk, getting ready to go right and run down that street. As I pick up my pace and turn the corner I'm thinking to myself, "Watch out for cars on the run." Thing is, as soon as I turned the corner and were thinking those thoughts, a car was heading my way - in the middle of the damn road - and it had a front tag that said 'RUN' on it. It was as if the car finished my sentence. The tag was icing on the cake.
-----
So this one won't sound like much, you'd have to really know me and how my mind works to get this: I've been having irrigation issues at my house for my garden. I had a small setup, and someone more or less ****ed it up. It was really aggravating. I put a lot of work into my garden. I just need a few basic things... like a damn hose. I went out and bought a brand new hose (old one busted due to folks not taking care of it) and nicely rolled it up. It sat there fine for about 2 days, then one morning as I walk outside and go to grab it the damn thing just falls down. As soon as I looked at it it dropped. Minor tihng, but in my head it stood out.
---------
This happened yesterday: I have been watching Lost. As I was watching it I was trying to ignore/fight off a cluster headache. In the show there is a guy who's character has the same name as me, and right there as I'm wrestling w/ said headache the character started developing headaches and began yelling at others to keep the noise down.
There have been other instances in the past and I wanted to report them here but I never did cause frankly I dunno what to think about all this. Nothing incredibly significant. I do feel a kinda something when these things happen but not sure if it's a sense or if it's just an active imagination.
What yall think?
EDIT: also 11:11 always pops out for whatever reason? Again, overactive mind or no?

Strat, somewhere in one of my journals I wrote, "Coincidence is God's way of manifesting Himself" which is my way of saying when you are in synch with life and paying attention, these things happen.
I still have no explanation for this one. For about two weeks, years ago, I started getting a feeling there was a snake under my couch, and just kept getting paranoid that one was around. One day when coming home for lunch during a work day, I walked through the backyard, up to the back porch and turned around to see why the cat, who had been behind me, was no longer there.
To my horror she was sitting on the bricks calmly washing her face, less than a foot from what I believe was a large moccasin. I must have passed right by it somehow on my way in and didn't see it.
The question is, did I know the snake was coming or did I manifest it by thinking about it? I don't know.
Interesting story Strat. It's a very real thing but how or why it happens is a mystery.

There are some fascinating synchronicities here! I've had a couple of airline flight ones; the first was on a flight to Florida, and on the refuelling stop at Maine, I found that one of my old school friends was on the flight. We hadn't seen each other for ten years, we were in the same class and knew each other really well but had lost touch.
A few years ago I moved to Italy. I was flying from Pisa to London, I spotted what seemed to be the only spare seat in the departure lounge and found myself sitting next to a colleague that I had been working with in Oxford a couple of years previously.
I've had a couple also regarding dreams. In one I dreamt I met my former sister in law whom I hadn't seen for several years. Three days later we were both at the same hairdresser. The other one was a dream in which the name 'Blackstone' came into my dream as a disembodied voice. "Blackstone?" I said; "Yes, Blackstone" was the reply. The next day I was in London and visited the National Portrait Gallery. Walking down a flight of stairs my head seemed to be pulled to the right, where the portrait of Baroness Blackstone was displayed.
Neither of those were of groundbreaking significance, no major predictions, but they really stood out at the time.

My father’s business was planes and helicopters , he knew how to fly them and wanted my brothers and I to learn. The summer before my sophomore year in college I learn how to fly in a cessna 150 ( he was a piper dealer ). When I returned to Boston for my 2nd year he told me he wanted me to practice flying in USA and learn how to communicate with the tower. So he found me a flying school near the town were I was living to receive my “ training “. My teacher was a 21 year old kid from New Canaan, CT. We would go flying to Hascomb Field in New Hampshire , which was a small landing strip with a tower and I would practice and talk to the air controllers.
I would fly maybe twice a week and became good friends with Richard my flight instructor. For Thanksgiving he invited me to his home. I picked his twin brother in a seminary and we drove to Connecticut. While there I realized he liked me as more than a friend , and being the immature person I was ( which I did not know I was ) I decided just to disappear from his life, did not returned any of his calls and stopped my flying lessons. I had lent his brother a big marionette of a bird I had and loved and never got it back.
So decades passed ( this was 1977 so close to 40 years ) and 3 years ago 2 of my nephews moved to Connecticut and since they are pilots too , decide to go to a near airport ( i think Great Barrington but I might be wrong ) to fly in a P-A 18 I think they are called. Two seats, one in front of the other.
So one nephew is flying with the pilot owner of the flying school and the pilot asked him where he is from. So Sergio (my nephew ) tells him from Ecuador. Where from Ecuador ? Guayaquil says Sergio. And The pilots says..... “ Once I let a girl I liked very much go , I thought I could have marry her” what was her name Sergio asked..... Rosemarie said Richard. “ She is my aunt “ says Sergio.
Jajaja. Next I know I am receiving an email with just a picture of the two of them on the plane. We are in contact again. He is a pilot for AA, set to retired when he is 65 as per rules. He flies the best routes to Japan , London or any route he wants. He owns his own flying school business. He did good. I am so proud for him.
He told me he still has the marionette.
Talk about a small world.

(just had dejavu)
Bit of a preamble:
So obviously I've been going through the ringer with my cluster headaches. The wonderful folks here at Avalon kept me in their thoughts during their Sunday global meditation. I had been having ~5 per day, then Sunday I had zero. The next one wasn't till 3:30am Monday morning. I was due to get more o2 on Monday cause I was blasting through it, but I didn't have to. I briefly mentioned the global meditation to my mother but I didn't explain it cause I was so tired I just didn't want to talk about it.
On another note, somewhat unrelated, I posted in a thread about my grandpa and some of his WW2 experiences. I wanted to get some of his pics/paperwork from her yesterday but again, low energy and was just trying to make it through the day. Wasn't really up for any conversation but it was on my mind.
-----------
So yesterday I go with her to get take out. On the way there, we see an old car from the late 40s. She points it out and says, "see that old car right there?" My first reaction was to get annoyed (like most people, I am a jerk when I don't have any energy), I thought she was trying to talk cars with me cause I'm a 'car guy.' But I was wrong, she said "your grandpa had that same car for the longest time, it was black."
Then on the way home from getting food we pass by a house in the suburbs. I thought about a time I was running/jogging by it and there was a group of folks praying as I was running my route. I jokingly thought of myself as Rocky Balboa, when he goes to the priest for a blessing before his fight.
That memory made me think of you guys and the sunday meditation. JUST as I thought that she says, "what was that you were telling me about some meditation thing?"
Again, is what it is, but I thought that was neat.

Not sure if this is the correct place for this experience, but twice lives have been saved by windscreen wipers...
Years ago I was driving to work, rainy day, traffic heavy, near Old Trafford one-way system going over the canal bridge in Manchester, in front was a tipper lorry, with double wheels both sides at the back. As we went round the circuit to get over the bridge, a brick, wedged between the left two-wheels of the wagon spat the brick out at my car. My passenger was applying makeup, the windscreen wipers were on, and the brick bounced off the wiper, breaking it, but the shock was horrendous, my friend would have been smashed!
Yesterday, after my birthday meal at a hotel locally, the weather was horrendous, flooding over the Borders and Northern England, we were coming back to mine when we approached a local village with a notoriety for crashes and flooding. I said vandals had fiddled with the lettering on the village entrance “Welcome to *****, please d i e carefully” - meaning to state that the r and v had been removed. Two seconds later, there was an enormous bang, the windscreen wiper had prevented a missile from a flatbed wagon going the opposite way from hitting me in the face, but made huge cracks in the windscreen. Happy 70th, I made it! But never tempt fate by jest!
An hour later, my family had to drive back north to save their home in Scotland from flooding, despite road closures, landslides etc, curtailing our gathering, in monsoon type rains, ludicrous weather for here, but all now safely home. Happy birthday to me thank goodness...

Ridiculously heavy rains, boats on streets in the Lothians, unreal torrents here up to the Forth. On weather forecasts, one gets pale blue for showers, darker blue for rain, navy blue for heavy rain, yellow for flood scenarios, and white for OMG! The forecast was white! Still draining off but phew, that was bad! Sunny, no wind and gorgeous today over the Lakes... at the moment.
The Jet-stream has unusually been changed downwards for this time of year, was watching vibrating skies for a week before this, no chemtrails, just heavily vibrating skies which indicates directional changes.

So last Sunday I was watching (American) football at my local pool hall talking with a friend. We were talking about traveling and cultures when - for whatever reason - we ended up talking about the Irish. He mentioned that he loved Irish bars in NYC because the people were easy going. I brought up how I have some experience with this because I frequent a bar owned by Irish folks. Immediately as I finish that sentence, an acquaintance from the bar I was talking about pats me on the back and says "hey what's up?" The timing was flawless.

Here's something that happened to me today, that most people would say was "just a coincidence"
But how else to explain this....?
Whilst out walking this morning, a song popped into my head for no apparent reason. I was out in the countryside so nowhere near a radio playing or other source of music that could be drifting unnoticed from a house with an open window.
It was a fairly obscure song from 1969 by Clodagh Rodgers and it kept playing on loop in my head. I never even questioned why that song was in my head, and soon forgot about it as the morning went on.
On returning home, I logged on to my PC, went to youtube to watch PMQs and lo and behold there in my recommendations was a thumbnail of Clodagh Rodgers with that very song!
Surely this is more than a coincidence?

It has to be...
If you had a Smart Phone with you I would guess that 'it' read your mind as the song repeated in a loop in your head - then that info triggered the Recommendation.....?
I just looked up the song :).... Clodagh Rogers was a name I remembered from the past but hadn't heard for a LONG time...how that song got into your head in the first place is another part of the mystery...was it randomly plucked out of your memory (by way of association or stimulation) or picked up from 'somewhere'....like a radio station?
thanks for sharing what happened....

There were no obvious associations nor stimulations that triggered the song. And I never even questioned why it should start playing in my head.
I won't lose any sleep trying to work out why it happened, but it certainly is curious if nothing else....

Just after my wife had died, a year ago,
I noticed that a musical group had released a song that described almost exactly my real-life experience.
At first I was almost scared, it was so exact, as if they had followed me.
But this helped, just when I needed, as a hint from Higher Powers.

I think we can consider "synchronicities" as paranormal events. Strangely, when ever I experience one, it is almost centered around a paranormal topic.

Several years ago I had read that in Edgar Cayce's psychic readings, his "source" whom he channeled had said somethings positive or hopeful about Adolf Hitler. That would have been in the early 1930s, before Kristallnacht and the outbreak of war, when Hitler was seen more positively in the U.S. I wanted to know more about this, and thought perhaps that I read this in the excellent biography by Sydney Kirkpatrick but wasn't able to find it that book. Then, I went to a lecture at a library about Cayce's health readings and afterwards talked to the speaker about the Hitler subject. He was interested in the topic too and told me to email him and he would locate it in a database of Cayce's readings he had access to. Alas, I lost his email address and never got to contacting him and eventually, I forgot all about the subject.
Around 2021 I was doing genealogical research - a good hobby to kill time during the quarantine. Most of the research was done through databases like ancestry.com, but if I had a name that seemed unique, I would drop it into google.com to see if anything came up. I added a two people to my database named Fritz and Elsie Kortenbeutel - they were not my ancestors but related somehow to one of my cousins. Their names seemed unusual enough so I did the google search on them and found that they attended a psychic reading of Casey on Staten Island in 1933. Casey did thousands and thousands of readings in his life, and they have all been meticulously recorded, but, as it turned out, this was exactly the reading I had been looking for, where Casey addressed the subject of Hitler at length.
Here's a link to the text of the reading:

Until I was 48 years old, I had absolutely no interest in UFOs and little respect for the subject. Like most Americans, I would only see the topic mentioned when I was in the check out line at the supermarket on the cover of "The National Enquirer" and "The Weekly World News" (An aside here, both of these publications were owned by Generoso Pope Jr. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generoso_Pope_Jr.), who had worked in the CIA's psychological warfare unit - what a great subtle way to get Americans to subconsciously associate the UFO topic with American trash culture!)
In August 2009, I ended up watching a 45-minute German documentary on Youtube called "New Swirled Order" (long story short, there were synchronicities that got me to watch a video on a topic I would have otherwise avoided) which ended up being about crop circles. The video was quite clever in that it didn't not attempt to give an explanation for the phenomena until the very end, so, as I watched, I kept wracking my brain for an explanation for the phenomena asking "Is this a natural phenomenon? Is this a man made phenomenon? Is this a hoax? What else could it be? Is it ... is it ... is it ... (feeling of dread about saying the word) ... is it ... ALIENS?" And so the next three weeks, I started researching and taking seriously a subject I had ridiculed all my life.
Three weeks later, on September 19, 2009 in the evening, I drove home from the supermarket with a car full of groceries. I started to think, obsessively and wildly, about the subject of other intelligence in the universe, and how it would it choose to communicate with us. My brain was really racing with circular thoughts. As I pulled into my drive way, I told myself it is time to get a grip and stop thinking about "nonsense" and focus on more practical things, like getting the groceries into the kitchen. As I got out of the car, I noticed something in the sky: an elliptical light, with beams of light streaming down from it. At first I thought it was a large spotlight hanging from a helicopter. (Like a spotlight that you see from the side, you wouldn't see the light source, just the light that came through a round opening, which appeared elliptical, because you were seeing it from an angle). But a helicopter made noise and this was completely silent. And helicopters do shake a bit but this object was perfectly still, just floating there like the moon or a start .) I stared at it for about 60 seconds and then in an instant, it vanished, as if someone flipped a switch.

Fireballs are very large comets that burn up in the atmosphere, lighting up the sky, and often with different colors. They are very rare occurrences, are only visible for about a second and meteorologists, who spend many hours looking up at the sky would say they are something that ones sees once in a lifetime. Between 2014 and 2019 on three separate instance, I saw a magnificent fireball. In each instance I wasn't looking at the sky, my gaze just happened to pass by the right place at the right time and see an amazing flash of light.

I've had several experiences in life when I was eight and one incident when I was twenty-five that I refer to as "MK-ULTRA". I met two other individuals in my life who also told me their own MK-ULTRA stories, and one of them, nearly died from it. (My own incidents, by comparison, were pretty light weight.) Those of us who have had these experiences rarely talk about them (unless we know we have an audience, like here on Project Avalon) and how I met these individuals and how I got to talking about them is a story too long to tell here, but there was much synchronicity involved.

Saving the weirdest story for last.
For many years I worked in an old factory building. There was some talk about the building being haunted, especially in the "shipping department" which I thought was quite amusing lore. I enjoyed listening to these stories, but I thought the people telling them were a tad bit "woo", just as some reading this story now might think I am a bit woo (so I hope you are getting good entertainment value at my expense ) Over the years, I had a few outsiders in the building and they said they "had a feeling" about the building, and when I took them to the shipping department, that feeling got especially strong. And so, I thought, perhaps there was something to the ghost stories, that there was really something there that explained what they were noticing.
Years later, when the building was used little and the shipping department was closed down, I responded to a police call at 3 am that there had been a burglary in the building. Nothing had been stolen, but we figured out how the burglar(s) entered through a window that had been left open off our loading dock. A week later, I discovered a shopping bag in the shipping department. Inside was a Parker Brother's Ouija board, a candle, a BIC lighter, some rosary beads and a bottle of Holy Water. "How the heck did that get here?" thought I. There was an employee with a key to the building, Ricardo, who had done some ghost hunting in the building. I suspected him and confronted him. He denied that he did, said he was a good Catholic and would never use a Ouija board, and I absolutely believed him and we then concluded that the ouija board was left there by the people who broke into the building the week before.
Ricardo had several daughters and had paranormal issues (hauntings in his home) although the daughters didn't necessary believe him. Not sure if they thought he was a little "woo" or not, but he did not tell them about ouija board.
A few months later, Ricardo came to see me to tell me a story. His face looked ashen and dazed as he told it. One of his daughters went to a Chinese buffet restaurant, about five miles from the building. She was eavesdropping on a "weird looking guy" seated at the next table tell a story. He talked about breaking into a building at 3 am. He found an unlocked window off the loading dock and got in. The rest of his story matched the layout of my building and the list of objects I found in the shopping bag. He said that he really missed his ouija board. The daughter eventually got around to telling the story to her father and didn't understand why he was so shocked by it because she didn't know about his experience.
Ricardo and I were both left with this dark, empty feeling after this story. What are the odds that the person breaking in would tell the story in earshot of a woman who would carry the information back to us. There was clearly some intelligent force around us that wanted our attention, but what the heck was it trying to say and what did it want? And what was it? The experience left me with a great story to tell at cocktail parties (although I've only told this a few times) but I have to ask if that was worth the creepy feeling it left me with. I really didn't want to experience another synchronicity like that again.
yzv-BoPIzOw
And the only synchronicity since then has been the first one I wrote about here, about Edgar Cayce, and when that happened I heartily laughed. I telepathically said to the synchronicity producing phenomenon: "There you go again!" At least that experience yielded me some useful information.
