I saw him live twice. Once at the Warehouse in the 70's. I hitchhiked with my then boyfriend, whose initials were T.P., from Lafayette (where I went to college) to New Orleans.

Then I saw him at a venue in New Orleans in the early 90's, back when you had to stand in line to get a ticket. It was the Full Moon Fever tour. Maybe the Municpal Auditorium.

Those drugs. The mixtures. It's how my son died. What a talent.

I'm sorry for your loss Villival. Learning of Tom's death has probably been pretty hard knowing the connection with your son and all.

Fenatyl was laced into several of the 'prescription' drugs that TP was on. That stuff is incredibly strong. Supposedly he suffered from multiple chronic pains. These drug pusher doctors, and the pharmaceutical companies, are criminals.

I'm not sure the death was accidental. Came across this strange video of Garry Shandling's visit to T.P.'s house. At one point during the conversation, Garry appears on the surface to be discussing going out on a high note in the context of ending his show. I felt like more was being intimated.

Garry died at age 66 the year before T.P. died at the same age.
