I really owe any skills i have in numerology to Glynis McCants. She told me on C2C that i have a gift.

Not doubting your skill in the slightest, jagman, there is no reason to. The little I know of numbers/ numerology I found fascination.

My intruding question to you is, should someone with a highly developed gift in numerology also come with a big bank account? Seems it a world of numbers they would go hand in hand.

What is C2C?

I don't know how to bet lol! But I'm gonna ask my bro if he'll do the honors for me, 31-28 Patriots!! Brady is truly phenom. Go Patriots! You've added just a tad more excitement for me for the day!

O Donna, What Ive found is when you share what you know about numerology with others it will come back around to you! Material possessions never have meant alot to me. Helping ppl makes me Happy. Thats not to say money or currency is not important. We all have to eat. God bless

If you want to bet on a individual player Julian Edelman from the Patriots numbers are off the charts!

Mark (Star Mariner)
3rd February 2018, 19:31
I'm not a betting man, but if I was and had a spare copper or two, I'd put it on the Patriots, say 23-10.

Then again, that team have had their day in the sun. And the sun has to set eventually. And the Eagles - they've never even won a single superbowl have they? I've got a soft spot for underdogs.

jagman
3rd February 2018, 20:01
Star Mariner, i love a good underdog too! You make some really valid points. I think there are many variables in making predictions using numerology! Take for instance this superbowl. You have to run the numbers for both teams.birthdates
full names. The number they wear on their jersey. The city in which its being played has a number.Coaches numbers have to be ran. The name of the building. On and on. I think the Eagles have been to 2. But lost both. But check me on that. I do have about 40 years of football knowledge but my brain is about. Maxed out

Cheers Jagman, to be honest I'm no expert on American Football - though I do understand the game (not all the rules - there are so many), as it's becoming much more popular in Europe with the extensive coverage we get. As you are much more an expert, I got a question.

-I don't get how a team can just 'leave' their city and move to another, ie, Chargers from San Diego to Los Angeles. This puzzled me. How do these franchises justify this to the fans? And why do the fans stand for it!? If this happened in this country with soccer (the oldest teams have 150+ years of history), there would be a second civil war I kid you not.

Do San Diego fans still 'support' the Chargers even though they play in a different city - and continue to watch by travelling many miles? Or are the Chargers suddenly a non-entity to them overnight? If so, that's heartbreaking for their fans.

If without any SD fans watching the Chargers in LA, how do they drum up local support - for a brand new team - in a city that already has a team? Surely, I'd expect existing NFL fans in LA to be following the Rams (who played also in St. Louis for a while), or maybe the Raiders, (also belonging to Oakland). And so on. It's confusing. I really can't get a grip on this. For us, in our football (soccer), the team IS the city. The city IS the team. To leave and go elsewhere is utterly impossible.

I wouldn't be surprised, sadly. Corruption is a fixture in every level of society - sports included. For instance it was amazing how easily the Falcons caved in the second half of last year's superbowl, and lost the biggest lead (I think) in superbowl history.

It reminds me of a scene from the old X-Files where the Smoking Man revealed a grudge for the Buffalo Bills, stating he would see to it personally that they never win a superbowl (after they had lost several in a row). A spot of satire perhaps, but maybe it hinted at something sinister and for real.

Since i live in Mo. I have some knowledge of your question. When the hams i mean the Rams left and went to LA, I think to the average Fan it was a relief
But StL is a baseball city always has been. If our Carsonals left, StL would die! So i do understand the identity issues you speak of. We also lost the Football Cardinals in the 80s. When i was in my 20s i would go to Arrowhead Stadium 🏡 of the KC Chiefs and let me tell you those fans love their team like you guys do over there! Imagine 60 thousand fans packed into old cookie Cutter Stadium doing the tomhawk chop screaming the chant. I swear the concrete in the stadium waves and flexes. You cant hear yourself think! If they left KC it wouldnt be good!

I've got a theory on that.

It all depends on what a population is used to. There has been so many US team flipping cities over the years that even though they are piss'd off, another part of them rationalizes it as par-for-the-course. I think if it keeps up there is going to be a loss in fan viewership and to a degree for many other organized sporting as more corruption is revealed. It's best to watch sports FOR ENTERTAINMENT ONLY meaning don't take any player antics seriously as well as wins and losses no matter how convincing the show.

To go off topic a bit, that's why when governments change course the smart ones do it at a speed that allows the population to get used to the change until they change course a little more. I am guessing they gauge it by the level of protest.

I could go on but that isn't the intent of the OP.

Correct me if I am wrong, as I know very little of numerology, but doesn't outside influences of a hypothetically pure game skew your results?

jagman
4th February 2018, 06:16
There are always certain variables that could have an effect on numerology results. For instance. I didnt run the numbers for the Refs and many other things.

jagman
4th February 2018, 18:18
The world number is 11. How you calculate that number is easy. 2+0+1+8=11. Tom Brady was born on August 3 1977. To calculate his Attitude number simply add birth month August 8 and Day 3. 8+3=11. To calculate his Life Path # simply add his full birthdate. 8+3+1+9+7+7=35 reduce it down 3+5=8 Is his life path.8 is also the universal number for Prosperity. I also did Nick Foles numbers and he is a double 3. Today is a 6 day. Which highly favors brady. I ran the entire Eagles and Patriots teams and its. Not even close. 2 players on the eagles have good numbers, Nelson Agholor and Darren Sproles. Also Eagles Headcoach has terrible numbers for today. Just a little insight.

I don't follow Football but a few weeks ago when it was announced I had predicted Philly would win.

It seems symbolic how Philly (Quakers) vs Boston (Puritans) were the first settlers to America that escaped England and there was quite a feud between the Quakers vs Puritans

Superblow predictions:

massive amounts of gooey yellow-orange pseudo-cheese will be eaten, dumped over tortilla chips
a significant number of US citizens will not make it to work tomorrow morning, due to American beer and that yellow-orange goo
the oligarchs' iron fist - the US military - will be lauded, just as if they were actually heroic, brave, and righteous
Justin Timberlake will have a wardrobe malfunction, and one of his man boobs will be exposed
the same US audience that says they hate commercials will watch every superbowl commercial without blinking
there will be a controversial ruling late in the game involving a cheerleader in a dominatrix outfit with a riding crop
after three overtimes, the winner will be determined by pillow fight
Eagles 41-33

Note: Billy Crystal sounds oddly similar to Richard Dolan in this short clip.

I surprised myself by watching almost the entire game. I haven't watched 5 consecutive mins of any pro football game since my sports gambling days in my mid 20's. It really was a great game! Lot's of drama, back n forth scoring, trick plays...you name it.

- In my defense, I drank craft beers. That must count for something:) The 6 pack of Sculpins I bought cost me $14. When I poison myself to death, I do it right.

- The commercials are usually more entertaining than the game; this year was the exception. I giggled mildly during one of them. I tried to suppress it. I swear!:) I will not reveal which commercial, not even under the threat of torture.

- There were no nachos or orange pseudo cheese at my place. In it's place were home made tacos, home made guac, and home made bean dip. I like to tell myself that the effort helps to make up for any forsaken self respect.

In short...yes, I sold out to the illuminatti, but I did it in style. Plus I just bought an obnoxiously large flatscreen tv, and I wanted to show it off. Wait, it gets worse - I sort of enjoyed Timberlake's halftime performance.

Dennis I'm sorry LOL. Are we still friends?

Ok, let me start off by saying i have not read anyones posts on my thread since my last post.(before the game.) I just flat out got it wrong. I think i understand why....but I not real sure? I have given some thought and my best answer is ( Im dealing with very complex Number system that i dont fully comprehend. Things have always came to me easily. If i couldn't figure something out, I would work at it until i did. The reason i wanted to build an algorithm is the amount of computations that i have to make for a single game. Each person on a football team have 6 different numbers that basically make up who they are. 52 players on a NFL Roster. Probably about 20 coaches, 7 to 10 Refs. Plus players must be matched they way they are in a game.offensive linemen numbers must be matched against their defensive Counterparts. Corner. Backs must be matched against recievers, So on and so forth. Also the world number must be factored in. Alot of inputs. Ive been reading alot about. Algorithms and i think i can build one around Pythagorean Numerology Incorporate football and baseball, hockey, the Olympics etc. I also think it would be very accurate. Again im sorry!

Jagman, maybe you could really refine your algorithm with all the competitions that will take place during the Winter Olympics?

Mark (Star Mariner)
7th February 2018, 14:33
Keep at it Jagman. I've never been all that convinced by numerology as a science - at least an exact science. We do see how the dark side like to worship symbolism and the magic of numbers, but for me, I think it's all an illusion. It doesn't stack up to much.

I'm not sure any algorithm will work in sports without that magic formula, the X-Factor that's missing: consciousness, in other words will, and individual resolve.

Science may endeavour to predict human behaviour in large scale systems, but even that isn't full proof. The mystical arts, clairvoyance, palmistry or whatever, can also make predictions. But it only follows the patterns and trajectories of a potential. It cannot and does not cover free will. And that is really what it all comes down to.

The numbers may paint a blueprint of our reality, but ultimately WE create them.

Bill Ryan

Ok, let me start off by saying i have not read anyones posts on my thread since my last post

Well, maybe you should!

I wonder if you can use your algorithm to predict how many replies you'd get, and how many of those would be skeptical of the process. :)

If you got that right, then we'd close the whole forum as a waste of time, as clearly no humans would have any kind of free will worth the name.

***

I'll stop making jokes and make a serious comment. We once had a member who started a thread to post his pendulum analysis of how truthful Camelot witnesses were.

No attempt at logic or deploying any intelligence... just magical-thinking woo-woo that had zero correlation with reality. I closed his account... partly because he was utterly arrogant about it all, and simply insisted he was right.

Can't you see that this does NOT empower anyone at all in any way? (And try selling this stuff to a 300 lb linebacker, by the way. I'd like to see that happen. :) )

Bill, i will read everyones posts. Bill, Your also right that man has free Will ! And there are some varibles that can't be assigned a number! There are so many factors to take into account when it comes to predicting, but i never have looked at it has using magic, or has a profit making scheme. To me it has always came down to 1s & 0s... Things are also never just black & white. In one of my earlier posts i talked about things have always came easy to me and for the most part thats true but in a way thats made me lazy! So if i do build a algorithm i would never guarantee the results or solicit anyone here! I have to much respect for PA and you personally Bill! For gosh sake my name is not Louis Turi lol

No i haven't. Especially in team sports, it is quite time consuming. Single sport competitions are much easier. Like boxing, wrestling, mma etc. That's the reason why i wanted to build a algorithm. But like Bill said earlier in the thread what's the point. Does this advance the human condition? I don't think so. I could make alot of money but that could upset the wrong ppl. I already have fanduel and they almost refused to pay me until i threatened a lawsuit. One thing i know you don't want to pissoff the bookies or the mob!
