Since I never heard of this I decided to share this with you. In northern Spain there has been found a staggering amount of Rock Crystal Arrowheads and Daggers near Valencina de la Concepción.

The manufacture of technically complex objects and personal adornments, some made from exotic raw materials such as ivory, amber, copper, gold, variscite, and rock crystal ( Morgado Rodríguez et al., 2015;Müller et al., 2007;Murillo-Barroso and Martinón-Torres, 2012;Murillo-Barroso et al., 2015;Schuhmacher et al., 2009;Sousa and Gonçalves, 2012;Thomas, 2011;Villalobos García and Odriozola, 2016;Valera et al., 2015), also attests to the formation of new identities and categories of social beings. It´s said to be from about 4000 -3000 bc, but Crystal cannot be carbondated. So take your guess.

Thank you for sharing uzn, the Aztec ceremonial knives have similar lost construction techniques and are of amazing quality and design.
