I didn't know the most appropriate place to share this "behind the scenes" view of being a daily / weekly youtuber. Taking the lead from some YouTube-Sponsored creators, I directed this at youtube as a whole, and posted the video under the "People and Blogs" category.

Hang in there Joe. I'm one of your subscribers, I for one think your doing a great job. Someone once said that you get the most flack when your closest to your target. Don't let the fuc&'ers grind you down. Some peoples learnt beliefs cannot be influenced or shaken out of them, no matter the sanity and clarity and evidence in your argument to the contrary. Running your own business is an 80 hour a week job, if not more.
Especially when you are a "one man show".
Been there, done that.

Not for me any longer, it wore me down mentally, physically and spiritually.
People can be a real thorn in the side with many wanting something for nothing (energy vampires, anyone? LOL).

Follow your heart, Joefromthecarolinas, but don't bankrupt yourself financially or spiritually.
Haters gonna hate, especially when there are paid trolls out there.

If you find yourself wanting to pull the plug on a daily basis, maybe it is time for a little break to get away from it all?
Be strong and remember that, odds are, you owe no one nothing so be sure to take care of #1 first and foremost...yourself.

I agree with dynamo, take a break if you are wanting to give up on a daily basis, continue to block the nasties, and come back yet Stronger.

Some people mission is to destroy whatever they can. Just block them.

And yes, having your own farming at the same time as being a youtuber must be gruesome at times. So many thanks for the hard work.

Recently, one of our members wrote, "Insecure people will try to keep you down at their level----walk away!" My take would be just not to read the negative comments, there is really no need to; that only accomplishes what these immature people set out to do.....upset you! You can tell immediately if it is going to be a negative or a positive comment.

Keep going! If making those videos is a passion, and it certainly seems to be, you're always going to be confronted by people who, as you said, don't have the courage to follow their own passion. And deep down, they wish they were.

They might be in the process of following a dream, but fundamentally don't believe enough in themselves, or what they're doing. And instead of facing that (which takes a special kind of courage I reckon), they're stuck, and they become bitter and disillusioned - with themselves and with life.

These people must realise (semi, or fully subconsciously) that they might be watching someone who is not only following a creative passion, but doing so positively and openly. And they feel completely unable to. Hatred comes from fear. At this point it's obviously easier for them to share their hatred with you, rather than face the terror which is boiling and churning, deep down, buried beneath a pile of false bravado and double think.

I tend to think the further you go with a dream, and a talent, the bigger the challenges get. I can't help seeing this as simply one of those challenges. Maybe you'll get totally fed up with youtube and have to chose a different platform or platforms. But if you haven't got to that point: don't let this crap get you down! (easier said than done :bigsmile:)

Joe you know what it takes to bee a farmer..its tough work and without an ingrained positive outlook toward life and such a farmer wont last long.. they give up or sell out.Your doing great and don't sweat the weeds that sometimes pop up in a patch..ifn it aint bothering the plants around them then leave it bee otherwise..pull it and move on cause there will always bee weeds to pull.

Joe, I commend you for putting out the content regularly. I backed off a bit because, with what I do, there honestly isn't so much 'breaking news' as many others are pushing almost daily. I also didn't want to spend all my time bashing Wilcock & Goode etc. You might consider what I do: block the comments function to begin with. Some will say "No! That's wrong!" But consider that your real fans know where to find you and interact with you and the a-holes don't want a constructive interaction, they just want to throw grenades and mess with you. I've found that my haters and critics don't mess with me at Twitter or Facebook etc. I'll block them there, too. 'Debate' has become something not worth the effort these days so that doesn't justify not blocking comments anymore.

On the issue of being "red-pilled" -- I wish these so called 'red-pilled people' would just shut the hell up. 'Red-pilled' simply means, for most of these folks, 'I've decided I'm right about everything and now I'm gonna be an obstinate pain in the ass in every conversation and go around telling others how dumb they are and how enlightened I am'. 'Red-pilled' has come to simply mean a person has settled on their pet theory AND they're going to constantly slap people in the face with it OR they have no more clue than anyone else about something but they want to feel bigger than they are. Meanwhile, a lot of them are paranoid delusional nuts, when you look closely. I'll be glad when the phrase 'red-pilled' goes the way of 'Talk to the hand' and 'In your face!' etc.

Try blocking comments for even just a week and see if that works for you. My viewers who are sincerely interested in what I post don't mind, they know where to find me. It's only my haters who don't like having their useless commentary eliminated.
