Found UFO while looking through old video files

I just made a surprising discovery in an old archive of *.mts video files from 2011. In one of the videos an object pass by the video camera very fast. At first glance it looks like an insect but then magnified the object reveals it self not being an insect or bird (if you ask me)...

That's very interesting. It's impossible to know how close to the camera it is (or how far), but it's going in a perfect straight line at a perfectly constant speed. That's measured using transparent overlays of screenshots of each frame.

Frame 2 (of my 1080p download of the YouTube video, and it shows in 6 frames there) is the interesting one. Clearer than on any of the other frames, one can make out something that looks like a small dome on top.

On your original unedited and unuploaded .MTS file, the quality should be even clearer.

Well, I don´t know what Youtube does to the video file formats after upload, but the original video was uploaded yesterday as *.mts you´ll find it here: https://youtu.be/WwNQHsWU-K0

.MTS isn't actually supported by YouTube (they say). See this page:

They will convert an .MTS file (evidently!), but only to MP4, and some quality will almost certainly be lost. The video you uploaded (https://youtu.be/WwNQHsWU-K0) can be downloaded again as a 1080p MP4, but that might still not be as good as the original.

You could do that, as a test, and then compare. It's possible it might be best to use a high quality converter at your end, first, and THEN upload.

The issue being "lossless" conversion isn't necessarily a reality going to mp4..

Saturday evening (/8/25/2018), around 6:00 p.m. (maybe a bit later), a very strong and fast-moving thunder storm popped up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, coming from the Southeast and moving to the Northeast and then quickly shifting to the Northwest.

As I often do when I see an approaching storm I went to my back yard with my I-Phone and started taking video of the storm, thunder and lightning. My back yard is on the south of my house and has a panoramic view of the Sandia and Monzano mountains, ABQ, and etc... to the south and east.

I took three short videos. One as the storm was approaching, a second one as it was nearer and the third one as I was stepping into the house to get out of the rain. 5 minutes or so elapsed for all three videos.

I did not look at any of the videos that night.

On Sunday, 8/26/2018, I was on the Forum reading posts. I came across this thread about old videos and UFOs. That made me recall that I had not watched the videos I took the night before. So, I looked at the first video and then the second. It was the second video that got my attention.

Below is the video full length at actual speed, followed by a shortened version and slowed down, followed by some screen shots. They each show the object. The object appeared over my house, but seems to be a few blocks to the west of my house. It appeared "out of nowhere" and moved at incredibly fast speed from the northwest to the south east toward Kirtland AFB. Kirtland is about 9-10 miles from my house as the crow flies. I can see much of the base from my back yard, including the Sandia and Monzano Mountains. I heard and saw nothing while taking the video, except some thunder and a barking dog. I did not see the object and it did not make any noise that I could discern at the time.

Many people have looked at the video. We all agree it is not a bug, a bird or a leaf.... After looking at the video many times now, some people think they hear a whoosh sound as it goes by. Some see what appears to be some sort of quick electric interference or wave in the video as it goes by.

The object appears at the 2-second mark on the video and disappears just before the 3-second mark. I am told it appears and is gone in .03 seconds.

The video goes on for a few minutes. At about the 1:09 minute mark you will see a flower blow off a tree and come right at me. The flower is blowing north. The object was traveling south/south east towards Kirtland AFB at a very, very high rate of speed. I mention the flower to provide a benchmark to show that whatever it was it was going against very strong wind and a fast approaching thunder storm with a a fair amount of lightning. In the video there is a tremendous clap of thunder near the end and a fair amount of lightning activity.

Any thoughts on what this is are appreciated. I suspect it is man-made, a drone of some sort, booking it out of the area and heading back to its berth at Kirtland AFB. It would be cool enough if that was true, but even more cool if it was not of this world.

Soon as I saw that one it reminded me of the little shuttles the crew of Star Gate SG1 was using there as it was nearing the end of the series and going into Stargate Atlantis. Interesting clip for sure. I caught a yellow reflecting orb in the yard once that made it one of the UFO channels but I never saw one moving at that kind of speed. That was cooking along at a good clip there!

I wonder if there are cylinder craft often seen around Sandia? I wouldn't be surprised.

When I slowed it down, it "appears" to actually go thru the cloud....looking like it punches a hole through it.

No...I cannot PROVE it punched a hole in the cloud, nor PROVE anything...but this is what I filmed. The speed, etc. looks very similar.

The subject that led me to the forum today was on how more and more people are filming these...what look like "dark orb" ufos.

They change shape, texture, and can change colour as well. I write about my experience with filming these and sharing with others here:

Good capture. The object exhibits the change of field and texture in each frame. No doubt...from what I've seen in your post, this looks like the "dark orb" ufos I'm seeing several people capture. But speak from experience....not entirely from speculation. Thanks for sharing!

I discovered this clip six years after the fact.

Bagdad Cafe is one of my favorite films, ever.

Way before I started to have experiences, the imagery of the "double" ray of light struck a deep chord.

My friend and I visited the cafe where it was filmed in 2011. I re-discovered this clip a couple of years ago after having found UFO captures in a few other trip videos.

There is a rather large cylinder shaped one "hauling ass" in the background in this shot.

I thoroughly examined this video, including embossing...and the object is indeed BEHIND the sign approximately 150-200 yards away. It is not a bug.

Still, I would love to get more info on data, software, techniques to analyze some of these captures... especially the luminous ones. If anyone has any info on spectra analysis, let me know.
