For what it's worth, I know I have to read this thread.

I've also noticed I have to get away from the house since the smart meter was installed.

I know it sounds crazy, but I have to hike far from the house to think like I used to.

This year like every year I pulled the mattress into the backyard onto a tarp. That's where we've been sleeping for the past several months.

I can sleep for 8 hours easy outside without fail.

Two nights ago they were predicting rain with 1 night dipping to 47 degrees Fahrenheit.

I brought the mattress into the house and slept almost exactly 4 hours before waking up. After that, I just laid there without the ability to fall asleep.

It seems as though 50 feet further from the meter on the opposite side of the house offers a longer, more restful sleep

I hope I didn't venture too far off of Deborah Tavares thread. If it weren't for her I wouldn't know where to begin looking as to what was happening to me now.

I hope this makes sense to at least one person.

Get some shungite. It's a stone that helps absorb the radiation. Wrap your smart meter in wire mesh. Get some Mylar and build a shield. I have a mylar sleeping bag, but I'm just using it across the headboard of my bed right now to provide some shielding. Look in camping departments at the store.

So I would imagine that among whistleblowers, he probably deserves a pretty high rating, and should be able to reach people who would not otherwise listen.

Dr. Batcho’s warnings are too late for many. Consider this excerpt from Global research.

Cell Towers Radiating Our Children
“The rollout of smart meters proceeds alongside increased installation of wireless technology and cell phone towers in and around schools in the US. In 2010 Professor Magda Havas conducted a study of schools in 50 US state capitols and Washington DC to determine students’ potential exposure to nearby cell towers. A total 6,140 schools serving 2.3 million students were surveyed using the antennasearch.com database. Of these, 13% of the schools serving 299,000 students have a cell tower within a quarter mile of school grounds, and another 50% of the schools where 1,145,000 attend have a tower within a 0.6 mile radius. The installation of wireless networks and now smart meters on and around school properties further increases children’s RF exposure.

Many school districts that are strapped for cash in the face of state budget cuts are willing to ignore the abundance of scientific research on RF dangers and sign on with telecom companies to situate cell towers directly on school premises. Again, the FCC’s thermal effect rule is invoked to justify tower placement together with a disregard of the available studies.

The School District of Palm Beach County, the eleventh largest school district in the US, provides one such example. Ten of its campuses already have cell towers on their grounds while the district ponders lifting a ban established in 1997 that would allow for the positioning of even more towers. When concerned parents contacted the school district for an explanation of its wireless policies, the administration assembled a document, “Health Organization Information and Academic Research Studies Regarding the Health Effects of Cell Tower Signals.” The report carefully selected pronouncements from telecom industry funded organizations such as the American Cancer Society and out-of-date scientific studies supporting the FCC’s stance on wireless while excluding the long list of studies and literature reviews pointing to the dangers of RF and EMF radiation emitted by wireless networks and cell towers.”

American Universities Are Becoming RF Hell Holes
Rich Farver was a 29-year-old San Diego State University (SDSU) political science teaching assistant where he had already earned his masters degree, died of glioblastoma multiforme(GBM) brain cancer on October 11, 2008. Rich’s mother, Virginia, began a quest to find out why. Virginia discovered that several students and staff were dying on the campus of San Diego State University of various cancers. Virginia was subsequently told that Rich’s cell phone was the culprit. Shortly after that, she found an article entitled “Brain Cancer Cluster on the San Diego State University Campus.” The light came on and Virginia met off-campus with some professors mentioned in the article. The professors told her that they had asked for a toxicology study, as there is a huge cell tower right next to the building where Farver lived and ultimately died.

Conclusion
Virginia’s research and that of others like Deoborah Tavares, have revealed that millions of people have been placed at risk because of the cell and microwave towers placed on University and school grounds. Further this system is part of a larger National system of connected communications which is expanding on international basis. To date, The Los Angeles School District and the European Union have moved to forbid these practices.

In another house I lived in I took a large piece of cardboard and covered it with several crinkled layers of heavy commercial type foil and placed it on the inside wall right behind the smart meter. Then hung a large picture over the cardboard/foil. It helped. I'm a serious insomniac and it blocked it enough to help me sleep a little better, had fewer headaches etc. Give it a try.

I didn't cover the front as mentioned above as I never thought of it!

We don't have smart meters were I live now but I can certainly feel the emf activity at home and just about everywhere. There are a few places right on the coast where I can't feel the microwaves/wifi/cell towers, and it's wonderful.

"This survey is a first-of-its-kind nationwide assessment of water shutoffs for nonpayment. Food & Water Watch contacted the two largest water systems in each state to request the number of households whose water was shut off for nonpayment in 2016. We received responses back from 73 utilities.

Top findings:
The average water utility shut off 5 percent of households for nonpayment in 2016.
Among responding utilities, more than half a million households lost water service for nonpayment, affecting an estimated 1.4 million people in 2016.
An estimated 15 million people in the United States experienced a water shutoff in 2016.
Overall, there appears to be a regional pattern, with more shutoffs in the South and relatively few in Alaska, Hawaii and the Northeast. The highest water shutoff rates were in Oklahoma, where Oklahoma City and Tulsa discon- nected one in five households for nonpayment. Three cities —Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Leominster, Massachusetts; and Champlain Water District, Vermont — did not shut off any household for nonpayment.

Compared to the cities with the fewest shutoffs, the highest shutoff rates occurred in lower-income cities with higher rates of poverty and unemployment. Water service is exceedingly unaffordable for low-income households in Detroit and New Orleans, in particular. More than one in five households in these cities receive water bills that exceed 9 percent of their income.

Overall, communities of color had higher water bill burdens. This pattern was seen among the cities with the highest and lowest shutoff rates.

Capital improvements are driving high water bills. On average, the cities with the highest shutoff rates were spending 22 percent more per household each year on capital improvements than the cities with the fewest shutoffs, but there is substantial variation in planned improvements. New Orleans (a high-shutoff city) and Honolulu (a low-shutoff city) had the highest per-house- hold improvement costs. They planned to spend $2,700 to $2,800 per residential customer each year.

Local policies are driving high rates of shutoffs. The three utilities with the highest shutoffs gave residents the least amount of time to pay their bills before facing shutoff. In Springdale, Arkansas, which had the third highest shutoff rate, the minimum time between the date the bill was sent and disconnection of service for nonpayment was a mere three weeks. At the other end of the spectrum, Eau Claire, Wisconsin and Leominster, Massachusetts did not use water shutoffs for collection at all.

Private water utilities overwhelmingly refused to respond to our requests (see box on page 3 of the full PDF report). This lack of transparency with privatized systems is a particular concern because these companies charge significantly higher water rates than their government peers, suggesting that affordability might be a bigger problem for their customers.

Local, state and federal officials need to take urgent action to curb the tide of water shutoffs in the face of a growing water affordability crisis:

Local governments can set up affordability programs to tackle the problem head-on and employ best practices to ensure that households have sufficient time and notice to pay their bills prior to disconnection.

States should require all utilities, including privately owned systems, to disclose shutoff and reconnection rates.

The federal government can act to support localities by providing the funding relief needed to ensure that every person in the country has access to safe and affordable water service.

There was a recent "crisis" in the New Orleans Water and Sewerage Board, which has been criminally mismanaged for years. I would venture to say for most of it's incarnation.

There have been repeated incidents of flooding, which ultimately was because the pumps were either not working or not working properly.

There was so much finger pointing during the last episode (it's never management's fault or the mayor's fault) that it was a local scandal. The acting President decided to resign early at that point, getting a ridiculous sum of money annually. I think it's about 200,000.00. The mayor at that time, Mitch Landrieu, who was supposed to be overseeing all this, was instead concentrating on setting himself up for another political position by concentrating on removing statues related to the Civil War, on his own initiative, all the while saying loudly and clearly how much he cared about African Americans.

If he really cared, he would have concentrated on the water issue.

Afterwards, they were threatening to cut off thousands and thousands of customers for non-payment. Much of New Orleans is poverty stricken.

What's worse, is they are downright criminal in not investigating many, many instances of sudden and ridiculous spikes in people's water bills and still threatening to cut off the customers, with them having no real, viable way to dispute bills that in some instances ran into thousands of dollars. When someone's bill goes from less than a hundred dollars to many times that, there is an obvious problem.

Harvard University's endowment (valued at $39 billion as of 2018) is the largest academic endowment in the world. The private investment company has been quietly snapping up farmland and related water rights to properties located in the California region.
Instead of purchasing the land in Harvard Management Company, Inc.'s own name, asset managers secretly formed a wholly owned subsidiary - called Brodiaea, which was the vehicle to purchase more than a dozen investments in California vineyards over the last six years.
Harvard formed Brodiaea in 2012, and by 2015 the company had already acquired 10,000 acres in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties for roughly $60 million, according to Reuters.
In April, the Harvard Crimson said that Brodiaea had continued to acquire California vineyards, especially ones sitting on massive aquifers.
There are no tourist nor visitors allowed on many of the vineyards owned by Harvard, the Wall Street Journal said on Monday, adding that the endowment is acquiring rights to large water sources in the arid Central Coast region, all under the name of Brodiaea, which is masked as a grape-growing business.
Drought has plagued much the Central Coast in recent years, hitting the agriculture industry the hardest.
"Drought has The Central Coast experienced drought conditions for 30% of the past two decades, compared with 14% of the prior 100 years, a 2015 study found. Droughts have led to spikes in withdrawals from aquifers, many of which aren't recharging as much during rainy season," said Noah Diffenbaugh, a Stanford University professor.
The Journal said the endowment now values its vineyards at $305 million, up 300% from 2013, while most of its other natural-resources investments have performed poorly.
Harvard's green thumb dates back to 2012, when Matt Turrentine and James Ontiveros, local vineyard managers, established an agricultural investment advisory firm named Grapevine Capital Partners LLC. and pitched the idea of water rights to Harvard. As history shows, the endowment was all about plundering natural resources.
Grapevine Capital "identified an area where the groundwater is very good, and it's outside the red zone," said Tony Correia, an agricultural-land appraiser specializing in vineyards.
Wine-industry analyst Rusty Gaffney wrote in 2015 that Mr. Ontiveros had spoken to him of the land Grapevine helped Harvard acquire, telling him "the region had sufficient underground water aquifers to be successfully farmed despite recent climate changes and drought conditions."
In 2016, Brodiaea hired drilling companies to drill 12 wells on its Cuyama Valley property. When the wells were completed, the vineyard opened, pumping up aquifer water to feed the plants.
Cindy Steinbeck, a vineyard owner whose family had grown grapes in the area for decades. Wrote to Harvard in March 2016 saying its use of mysterious companies "seems designed to obfuscate Harvard's activities in the area."
"Such an investment does not make economic sense," she wrote, regarding massive premiums, Harvard was paying for the land, "if your intent is simply to grow and sell grapes. It would, however, make perfect sense if the investment wasn't for farming but rather for the brokering of water."
A Harvard official responded that Brodiaea is "purely agricultural in nature" and that the vineyards prioritized water conservation.
The Journal notes that some local farmers are not concerned about Harvard's purchases of vineyards, others, however, express concern that the aquifers will be used to benefit landowners who are based on the other side of the country."
