Well, I felt that! That was really quite big, and inland, too. Inland is unusual here: most of Ecuador's large earthquakes have been on the coast. It was 50 miles away, so no damage, but the house did shake for quite a long time.

The Earth does seem to be moving & shifting! Glad you're o.k., Bill! :dancing: How many seconds would you say the house shook?

I second that Bill, did your dog sense anything prior?

It was quite a long shake: felt like 45 seconds, but it might only have been 25. (When the house shakes like that, it always feels longer than it is!)

I did a walkaround this morning to check everything outside, but there's no damage. It was a big one, but it was deep (>100 km). The earth is moving at the moment, though.

Mara was outside... if she'd been scared (before or after), she'd have been pawing at the door anxiously to come in. So no, I don't think she knew a thing about it. :)
