How a lie about George Soros and the migrant caravan multiplied online
This is the life of a lie.
Three weeks ago, a caravan of Hondurans began walking nearly 2,000 miles to the
United States. Their ranks grew as they inched north and, along with them,
falsehoods grew, too. But one stands out: a conspiracy theory that liberal
billionaire George Soros, a Jewish immigrant, is paying the migrants to make the
journey – or even orchestrating it.

> Members of Congress and the president’s son both repeated it. Conservative
celebrities, too.
>
> It also may have resonated in darker places. Cesar Sayoc, the man charged with
mailing pipe bombs to Soros and other prominent critics of President Donald
Trump, dwelled at length online about conspiracy theories involving the
Hungarian-American philanthropist. Robert Bowers, charged with killing 11 people
worshiping in a Pittsburgh synagogue on Saturday, used his social media accounts
to post extensively about the caravan, including circulating an image of
refugees in Guatemala purportedly climbing into a truck with a Star of David on
the side.

Is there any threads here outlining evidence that Soros has organized and paid all these people to do this? If so we should probably put that info together with this info.

I don't have anything on who is behind this whole migrant caravan thing, but I saw nearly the same kind of article in a newspaper here in the Netherlands.
Has to be a global effort coming from the Soros camp it seems. interesting

I'm curious to see if there is any evidence that its not just a migrant caravan? I mean it's not like this is the first time impoverished migrants have tried to come into the US, so through intrinsic context, I think some evidence needs to be provided.
Anyone can write anything in the media, fake news, not fake news, fake news about the fake news, real news being perceived as fake news, etc.

If anyone is benefiting from this caravan just in time for the midterm elections, then it's "I will build a wall" Trump.
How would Soros benefiting from it? Such a story just helps the wall builders.

For what it's worth -
This is no cry for help, or a group of helpless refugees in dire need of humanitarian aid.
It's a gang of politicized malcontents, organized by a leftist group called Pueblos Sin Fronteras, or People Without Borders in the North American vernacular.
Roberto Corona is founder of Pueblo Sin Fronteras. Who has made significant donations to Pueblos Sin Fronteras?
Last fall, Soros transferred $18 billion to the Open Society Foundations, the network of non-profits Soros uses to advance his globalist, borderless ideology both in the U.S. and around the world.
The massive transfer, which was first reported by the Wall Street Journal, is roughly equivalent to the gross domestic product of Afghanistan, according to World Bank data. It is seen as a way for the 89-year-old Soros to avoid the estate tax – also known as the death tax – which penalizes large inheritances.
Inside Philanthropy reported in 2016 that Soros, who has said that he considers himself to be “some kind of god,” began laying the groundwork for the foundation to continue his mission after he dies.
Hacked Open Society Foundation documents published last summer shed light on the way in which Soros has used his foundation to advance progressive, open-borders policies both domestically and abroad.
In the U.S., his foundation has provided funding for the Black Lives Matter movement and open borders activists.
The foundation has also provided funding to anti-Trump “resistance” groups, funded opposition research on critics of radical Islam and attempted to influence Supreme Court rulings.
Soros’ foundation is now the second-largest philanthropic organization in the U.S. behind only the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

George Soros and his organization Open Society Foundations deny funding and organization of the caravan.
Has Soros used his funds to give migrants a way to protest, migrate before? Apparently yes -
How illegal migrants cope financially during their long journeys to and through Europe has been revealed by the Slovenian site Nova24.
According to the site, UNHCR and the EU, in cooperation with MasterCard and Soros, generously hand out prepaid debit cards to the migrants.
The cards are equipped with both EU and UNHCR logos. No identity documents are required to obtain or use the cards – instead of the name of the cardholder, “UNHCR” and a number is printed on the card.
According to Nova24, the information comes from a source within the Croatian police, which states that the migrants are well-equipped with newly purchased, high-quality boots, hiking clothes, smartphones and even weapons.
During the stopover in the Eastern European countries, they withdraw cash from ATMs to stock up on supplies.
MasterCard announced in 2016 that they issued prepaid debit cards to “give refugees mobility, flexibility and dignity”.
In a press release last year, MasterCard also announced a cooperation with George Soros with the aim to “catalyse and accelerate economic and social development for vulnerable groups in the world, especially refugees and migrants”.
The press release further stated that George Soros had earmarked up to $500 million for private investment that will increase capacity to meet the challenges faced by migrants, including refugees, and their host communities across the world.

I didn't see any direct link to Pueblo Sin Fronteras.
Is there any link from Roberto Corona and Soros or his foundation?
Influence-Watch says this:
The Centro Sin Fronteras (“Center Without Borders”), officially the Centro Sin Fronteras Community Services Network, is a 501(c)(3) illegal immigration activist organization.
The Center was founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1987 by Emma Lozano, a pastor at the Lincoln United Methodist Church in Chicago, Illinois. [1] [2]
Lozano is the sister of the late Rudy Lozano, a left-wing activist and community organizer in Chicago.[3]
The organization advocates against deporting immigrants living in the United States illegally, a “moratorium on all raids,” comprehensive immigration reform “that provides legalization for the 12 million” illegal immigrants in the U.S., and a “renegotiation of NAFTA and other trade and financial agreements” to better suit the interests of Mexico. [4]
Lozano and the Center have been involved in a number of demonstrations and protests with other left-wing groups, most notably the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) in April 2016.[5] Lozano is a member of the LULAC Illinois state affiliate’s immigration committee, and the Centro has extensive connections with LULAC.[6]
Elvira Arellano, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, former fugitive from U.S. immigration authorities, and activist for illegal immigrants in the U.S., formed the activist group La Familia Latina Unida (“The United Latin Family”) as an expansion of the Centro Sin Fronteras. [7]
La Familia Latina Unida runs Pueblo Sin Fronteras (“People Without Borders”), a group that organizes “migrant caravans” from Mexico and Latin America to cross the U.S. border illegally.[8]
and
Pueblo Sin Fronteras and La Familia Latina Unida formerly shared the same Chicago address (2716 W. Division St, Chicago, Illinois 60622), which is the same address as the Adalberto United Methodist Church. [17] [18]
and
The Pueblo Sin Fronteras (“People Without Borders”) is a project of La Familia Latina Unida. The two organizations are regularly listed together, including on the latter’s website and their respective social media pages.[19]
Emma Lozano is listed as executive director of Pueblo Sin Fronteras. [20]
Roberto Corona is the founder of Pueblo Sin Fronteras.[21]
Pueblo Sin Fronteras is a member of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network, a left-wing coalition of immigrant activist groups.[22]
Again then going through the Soros and Foundation funded LIST above, note who gets funding:
Pueblo Sin Fronteras, a group connected with the Centro affiliate La Familia Latina Unida, organized the caravan in conjunction with the CARA Family Detention Pro Bono Project.
The CARA coalition consists of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, the American Immigration Council, the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, all groups advocating for legal status for illegal immigrants and expanded immigration overall.[25]
These organizations have been funded by a number of major left-of-center grant-making foundations, including the Open Society Foundations (Soros), MacArthur Foundation, Ford Foundation, and Carnegie Corporation of New York. [26] [27]
So is Soros and his foundation DIRECTLY funding, apparently not, but there appears to be funding ties through "other organizations" which could serve to mask any direct activity.

@ Builder .... This isn't about making money is about the mid term elections. They are trying to make Trump look bad,... if he doesn't let them in he's a tryant, ... if he does let them in he's weak .... Sorro's is a no borders liberal .. read Bob's post above . It's a political move not an economic one. I hope this does help the wall builders but that's not the intent of the march. We have enough illegals crossing everyday, if you have been on the border states Arizona, Texas you could see the problems that have manifested from the border crossings ( illegal ).

Soros Partners With Mastercard To Hand Out Money To Migrants
https://eraoflight.com/2018/11/04/soros-partners-with-mastercard-to-hand-out-money-to-migrants/
realnews source eraoflightBillionaire investor George Soros has repeatedly denied rumors that he is helping to finance the migrant caravans making their way up from Honduras and Guatemala through Mexico with the ultimate aim of reaching the US.
But that’s about to change, as the “Open Society” founder – who famously financed much of the opposition to Trump SCOTUS pick Brett Kavanaugh – is now partnering with Mastercard to hand out money (in the form of ‘investment capital’) to migrants, refugees and “others struggling within their communities worldwide,” according to Reuters. Through their partnership, Soros is effectively providing open financial support for migrants and refugees seeking to enter the US and Europe.
The partnership between Soros and Mastercard, which they are calling Humanity Ventures, is the result of a pledge that Soros made in September to spend $500 million to address “the challenges facing migrants and refugees.”
In a statement, Soros and Mastercard declared that government aid programs haven’t been enough to solve the issues facing refugees, suggesting that this is a problem that only the private sector can solve.
“Migrants are often forced into lives of despair in their host communities because they cannot gain access to financial, healthcare and government services,” Soros said.
“Our potential investment in this social enterprise, coupled with Mastercard’s ability to create products that serve vulnerable communities, can show how private capital can play a constructive role in solving social problems,” he added.
Right away, Soros plans to spend $50 million to provide “scaleable” health-care and education solutions. He intends to ‘invest’ the money in businesses founded by migrants.
“Humanity Ventures is intended to be profitable so as to stimulate involvement from other businesspeople,” Soros said.
“We also hope to establish standards of practice to ensure that investments are not exploitative of the vulnerable communities we intend to serve.”
Soros has said that he would prefer ‘Humanity Ventures’ to be profitable to attract “other businesspeople”, it’s unclear how, exactly, he plans to earn anything approaching a reasonable rate of return by handing out risk free loans to migrants and refugees.
This comes after Master Card back in 2016 admitted that it has handed out prepaid debit cards to migrants and refugees traveling through Europe, something the company did with the explicit blessing of the European Union and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
Perhaps MSNBC and other liberals who blindly claim that Soros and his network of non-profits aren’t providing financial assistance to migrants approaching the US should consider this before they continue with their denials.
