Magic: History, Theory and Practice by Ernst Schertel...... with Hitler's notations

Anyone read this book yet?


In May of 2003, Timothy Ryback, the author of "Hitler's Private Library: The Books That Shaped His Life" had an article published in The Atlantic Monthly. In the article he detailed several of the books held in a portion of Hitler's library at Brown University. Mr. Ryback also mentioned some of the passages Hitler marked in these books. One particular passage was worthy of attention: "He who does not carry demonic seeds within him will never give birth to a new world." That passage appeared in the book "Magic: History / Theory / Practice", written by Dr. Ernst Schertel. Schertel was a researcher of alternative sexual practices, nudism, and the occult. After finishing his book Magic in 1923 he sent a dedicated copy to Adolf Hitler. Now, for the first time ever, "Magic: History/Theory/Practice" has been translated into English, with all sixty-six Hitler annotations intact

Hitler's notations are fascinating if this is true. In one section he writes "one mustn't shrink from evil in order to create a new world" or something to that effect. In another he writes "God began with the devil".

Many still think that the main books Hitler read were Héléna Blavatsky’s ones, just because of her use of the term Aryan Race or the use of the Christian Cross.....
But they were quite another lot that inspired him.

You can tell much about a person from what he reads. The surviving, and largely ignored, remnants of Adolf Hitler's personal library reveal a deep but erratic interest in religion and theology

The books that constitute the Hitler Library were discovered in a salt mine near Berchtesgaden, haphazardly stashed in schnapps crates with the Reich Chancellery address on them, by soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division in the spring of 1945.

Hitler's copy of Schertel’s “Magic: History, Theory and Practice” bears a handwritten dedication from Schertel, scrawled on the title page in pencil.

A 170-page softcover in large format, the book has been thoroughly read, and its margins scored repeatedly. There are particularly thick pencil lines beside passages of interest.
One passage has been pointed out as "He who does not carry demonic seeds within him will never give birth to a new world."..... (although it’s not on this particular page that I posted down here)

Those guys were desperate for some knowledge that would put them ahead.

So, they did want a pure Germanic land, and they came up with a Final Solution, which was to deport those who didn't belong. Most of the reports that said they preferred to kill en masse on racial/religious grounds are misleading. Moreover, modern Eugenics is American, it came from Harvard and other Ivy League schools, and was most heavily practiced in the U. S. and Sweden, in terms of mandatory sterilization and the like. Immigration caps because "Mediterranean peoples are stupid and lazy". In my area, black women were sterilized until the 1950s. Not very magical, but somewhat death-cultish.

Aside from the leadership, it is hard not to sympathize with the German nation. As soon as it was unified, Britain started to destroy it. Two major wars later and it winds up being almost another U. S. state to this day. I, personally, don't really blame them for Hitler, I think he is highly over-rated. Ulysses Grant was about the same. Others like Pol Pot probably worse.
