Do read! When I looked it up just now, I figured I should really post almost exactly the same thing. Members joining us in the last 12 months may appreciate it. (As might everyone!)

Our thanks to all the members reading this for being such an easy, pleasant and lovable bunch of cats to herd.

Note: timing this post was problematic. For example, our own very beautiful Rachel (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/member.php?24844-Rachel) in Brisbane wished all the other mods a Happy New Year, already three and half hours old, when it was 12.30 pm here and 9.30 am in California. (Flat Earthers, explain that…!) So, as a compromise, right now it’s just turned New Year in St Petersburg.

This may be a most interesting year ahead. We may well see more official disclosure (or ‘confirmation’) of the UFO presence. We may all confidently hope, not without good reason, to see a lot more of the swamp drained. And we may just possibly really see for once, after many false dawns and predictions, some notable arrests and indictments. And I’d not bet my hat there won’t be some other surprises for us all in the next 12 months, maybe not all negative — at all.

This is an amazing time to be alive. Thanks to all our members — and regular guests — for being on the ride with us. We’re all in this together. And this might just be a VERY amazing New Year of 2019… bring it on.

Eleven hours to go and my neighbors have been enthusiastically shooting off fireworks for the last 3 weeks or so. They're building up to a final crescendo by around 2am to morrow :howell: I have a nice loud Pu (conch shell) and a Pu Ohe (bamboo) I can entertain them with as a change of pace :)

I was thinking of doing something tonight, but nothing I think of beats staying home and doing nothing. I guess if I get antsy later I'll do the countdown thing with my dog and spill a beer on myself.

I'm at a weird age now where on the one hand I'd like see something go terribly wrong with that firework dick display, and on the other I feel genuine concern for that kid's well being. I'm like 50% sadist and 50% concerned citizen. My old commitment issues again.
