I may get documents about Solar Warden from a FOIA request!

Hi mates !

I know that it may sound like bull****, but it's true, I have sent a FOIA request to the AFSPC, and I just got a response from them a week ago, saying that they might have responsive documents, and that she's working on processing it

I told her that I wanted to see if they corresponds to my request, im waiting on a response.


Here's my description that I sent the FOIA manager:

copies of documents and data related to the space operations, and weapons technologies pertaining to codename: Solar Warden, from the 14 AF Space Command and its subordinate units, on VAFB CA from DATE to DATE

I have heard that these FOI requests can take years to process, and often have all good stuff redacted.

However, Dark Journalist, in the X Series episode III, cited a recent successful FOI request (released in 2015) about Project Blue Gemini, from the early 1960's, where Robert McNamara, the US secretary of defense at the time, states in hard copy that there existed two space programs (the public NASA showpiece and a submerged military program). DJ believes that this is the oldest official documentation that verifies of the existence of the SSP.

Well, they did say that I would get a response by January 15, but I'm keeping in touch with them

Well mates, I hate to break it to you, but they literally responded to me a month ago denying any knowledge of Solar Warden. I am disappointed, but am still continuing my quest to locate evidence of Solar Warden. Anyone who has suggestions about who I should send a FOIA request to, please leave them in this thread

Update: I have now submitted a FOIA request to NARA, requesting documents from the defunct NNSOC
