Watching it on msm now.

Two thoughts:

1. What’s up with all the women binding together in a meager attempt at identity politics?

And

2. If this were translated into German, would it sound like a Nazi rally in 1931?

Where am I?

Ok liking the well made point about big pharma! Crumbs for the masses....

Beware of those who wear white coats.

"You weren't supposed to do that!"

I feel that the merger between politics and entertainment, is complete.

"We will not be a socialist nation, We are born free and we will remain free". I can only hope he really means that and will continue to defend that.

It was never a merger. Pure collusion from the day that they made you buy the tool of your enslavement (tv)

savannah,

So, capitalism is king? No socialism, nothing for most citizens, fear anything that threatens the controllers? No healthcare for all? Too sick to work? Starve then. Every man for himself.

Let me qualify my statement - if I am strong and able, I do t need or want the nanny state. But if I am sick and unable? I want the system to which I have over contributed to assist. That’s the only humane way. Sovereign person? Yes. But as long as you overtax me with no return? The least you can do is assist in my struggle versus making defense contractors rich in never ending war!

Yes, let us not confuse social, with socialism. If I pay all these (blankety blank blank) taxes, they might as well do me some good!

Dennis, can I get an "amen"? LOL

What the US has imo, is essentially fascism masquerading as capitalism. I tempered my language to the more modest capitalism to avoid offending. Not sure why I did that to be honest.

The US is a perfect storm of government and industry co-dependency, driven by the innate imperialistic tendencies of the elites running the show.

OK folks, please, I’m on Avalon of course I understand all the problems in this country (controllers, pyramids of illuminate power, suppression of the people). All political systems have flaws. However Socialism does not work either. There are plenty of welfare programs already in this country. If we stop suppressing, over taxing, and using a corrupt banking system we won’t need all that welfare.

Socialism does not work, that’s why the globalist want it. How do you take down a nuclear nation, not by war but a political propaganda war combined with a deep state changes in laws that violate our constitution, removing boarders and perpetual war. I would say we were born free in theory and forums like this and people waking up may help to make us free in actuality. Trump may have his own agenda but part of it seems better than what the democrats want. Ideally I’m sure we would want to be sovereign beings with no government at all but I may not see that in my life time.

I'm so burned out on the relentless condescending spinning of everything Trump does while using every opportunity to spin glorify the pompous, treasonous, leftist morons.

Today, Poo-losi's apoplexic contempt is characterized as 'exquisite' in an equally condescending article. I find it unbearably childish.

...Socialism does not work, that’s why the globalist want it. ...
Can you help me out here, and expand on this?

What is socialism? (I'm looking to see what your understanding is, rather than a textbook definition.) I'm not asking for a scholarly research paper on socialism, just off the top of your head. It would also be helpful to know what do you see as the exact opposite of socialism.

Obviously, if socialism is something bad for all of us, I want to know about it to try and defend against it. If the globalists want it (follow the money!) then that means it must be a greater financial benefit to them, right? I don't make the connection. The opposite seems true: the more money that ends up in more of our pockets, the less that is going into the oligarchs' pockets. Seems like they would fight against socialism.

I promise, I'm not going to debate you or anyone on "socialism" (and I would be a very poor choice to have the responsibility to have a deep and wide scholarly and historical picture of political socialism and socialist policies and programs...)

I'm fascinated by what it is about the concept of socialism that could be seen as frightening, or just negative, for about 99.99% of all of us. (The 0.01% - the globalist oligarchs - reaction I understand.)

That's a simple answer Dennis, Socialism means externalisation of rules, wiping out personal sovereignty in the name of enpowerment. It's vomit making stuff, from where I'm standing, and there was a time many years ago when I though I was some kind of socialist believer.

And as an aside, try convincing me that economic collectivism doesn't come in any purer a form than raw Bankery at the global level. The bankers are the ultimate collectivists, but they hide it behind silly terminology like "left" and "right", and most of the world swallowes it hook line and sinker. Jeeze, you can even still get degrees is that crap.

Socialism destroyed in one sentence:

It is immoral to steal from people, even if you vote to do it.

Not sure why it's even a topic of discussion, if you understand that sentence.

At 0:49, we begin with a video excerpt, where trump states "...it's the agenda of the American people."

I said, out loud to my monitor, "No it isn't."

That's as far as I have gotten.

A large, (10 year) study completed in 2014 sought to find out how much influence the US citizens (US politicians refer to us as "Americans") have on domestic and foreign policy in the US. The answer was zero. Zero influence, other than the "voice" granted to billionaires. That study is informally now referred to as the "Princeton Report.*"

So, no matter what trump followed this with, it was not true, it could not be true. The US government doesn't know and doesn't care what its citizens think or feel. Let me add that this is true not just while trump is sitting in the big chair in the oval office, it was just as true with obama, bush, clinton, bush, ... and all the way back to george washington. The oligarchs used to put themselves in office; now they use proxies.

*[A 'Startpage' search (they use google's search engine) just now shows me that google has done some serious work in scrubbing results that point to "Princeton study" - last time I searched there were at least a dozen pages with feature stories using the search phrase "princeton study" or "princeton report" and not the gigantic title "Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups, and Average Citizens (https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/perspectives-on-politics/article/testing-theories-of-american-politics-elites-interest-groups-and-average-citizens/62327F513959D0A304D4893B382B992B)." Wow, the articles google does point to all seem to make the glaring mistake of saying something like, "America is no longer a democracy" - when we know that the USA is a constitutional republic, and never was a democracy. So, rather than leave you with the real message, (that US citizens have zero influence over foreign or domestic policy in the US), those that have been conditioned to be triggered by the word "democracy" and/or those who know the actual form of government used in the US will likely leave those sites with a deflected, tangential at best, message. Well played, google-cia, well played.]

Socialism is the totalitarian tip toe toward the new world order

Thanks Savannah, Target and Norman. I appreciate the input. I figure the question is interesting enough to have its own topic, (tangential in this topic) so I just started a new topic (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?105961-What-is-socialism--your-opinion-not-the-dictionary-definition-&p=1273597&viewfull=1#post1273597). Maybe you could all also post your answers in that new thread.
