Misinformation \Mis*in`for*ma"tion\, n.

Untrue or incorrect information. --Bacon.

[1913 Webster]

The quest for truth is a quest for the very essence of it all. This becomes the single most important occupation of a creature that becomes self aware. It is the ultimate comprehension of the nature of illusion. So lets take a look in the toolkit by which we try to acquire truth.

Reason is often regarded as the small vehicle. The language in which we become aware of things has major flaws. Not all languages are alike but the intrinsic duality of it makes it a poor tool to grasp the ultimate essence. Although it may be one of our most power full traits if it is not used with caution it creates confusion as easily as it creates clarity.

That voice in your head and the billions of voices on this planet can create a cacophony of voices that makes it sheer impossible to listen to each other or your self. The use of this tool is magical and you are able to cast your spell upon others. Knowledge is also a disturbance and only when the disturbance is contemplated it may result in wisdom. Wisdom leads to realizations of truth.

So what can we identify as the great vehicle ? That my friends is the silence. There is an infinite amount of information at your disposal when you are quiet and at rest. Often overlooked the silence and its superb qualities does not advertise itself well. No wonder that the wise of the past had there particular ways of contemplation. There is no incentive to give up your trouble solving state of conscience in the bombardment of the modern day information age. This in itself leads to a myriad of misconceptions.

For you to be kept ignorant you only have to be kept busy. There is no mystery to that, the Romans already knew - Divide and Conquer – Bread and Games. And after our childhood we are more than happy to give away our curiousness to the consensus reality. You don't need a plan for that, just don't provide the opportunity to reflect and have a respectable dialog. The more we scream out and judge each other the less opportunity for a constructive dialog in witch we sharpen our abilities to use discernment.

The best thing to do is to create a delicate mix of contradicted story lines that keeps forever bouncing in the room full of mirrors. That not only keeps you away from contemplation, it create insecurity and fear so that you are now more receptive to polarizing information about we and them.

You don't have to look far to see misinformation. The notion of self is not well understood and topic of discussion in time immemorial. What is regarded as self is often called ego, and mostly regarded as bad thing that comes between people and cause disharmony. Well depending on your understanding and believes the notion of self or the identification of self with the body is probably the most ill perceived subject. In all the wisdom traditions of all ages the knowledge of the self was regarded as one of the highest fields of investigation. Nosce te Ipsum or Know thy Self is the adventure of a lifetime.

One of the major concepts contemplated by many over the ages is the unity of all things. Its the single most important topic of the higher wisdom traditions. To full grasp its ramifications can take a lifetime, and just a spark of this knowledge can lead to strong enhancements in the harmony of society. This is why it is of importances if you are in the business of power over others, to keep people divide amongst each other.

Men and Woman, Blacks and Whites, Democrats and Liberals, American and Russians, Catholics and Protestants and even Believers and Non Believers. These are the tools to keep herds. And to keep them busy and not able to raise there conscience. So to be devious is to open yourself up to every story and collect the raw data not hindered by the nominations. Then find silence in your sanctuary. And take the time to let it settle in silence. Now be in your heart and the weight takes place. It your nature to sift unconsciously though this myriad of information without a single thought.

Now you have the tool to listen to anybody. Fringe scientist, channeling, conspiracy theorists, really odd documentaries, weird books, strange theories or stories even genuine nut cases. You have now the heart to make your own discernment, and that means that you have to consume 70% noise. That inherent to the way you involve yourself with information. Even this story. From the 30% signal by reading between the lines your heart is able to distill even a smaller percentage that will effectively become part of your wisdom, and even that is considered a distortion.

It is my understanding that if you want to make a career in an elite group positive or negative, that you can achieve great heights and accumulate awesome powers. And that will continue after your human experience until incomprehensible heights. But well before you reach the very top in your achievements as an conscience being, you will reach unity. Time and space will not have the same meaning and all paradoxes will find a resolution. There is no separation, your conscience seem to have no end, and yet you are not yet full circle, you have still things to learn and still your knowledge contain some disturbances. With that in sight, having the possibility to act in a powerful negative elitist group seem futile and yet it is still so attractive to the passionate ignorant.

I am another you.

Important to distinguish (and useful for non-English-speakers):

Misinformation = false information.
Disinformation = a mixture of true and false information.

The CIA discovered over 60 years ago that the best form of confusion to create was through DISinfo rather than MISinfo.

DISinfo is hard to figure out, gets people arguing, and creates every kind of conflict. It's also more credible, because of the truth content.

MISinfo is far more stark and clear, more easily identifiable, and doesn't create conflict between 'enemy' individuals.

And I was well aware of the distinction, thank you. I deliberately tried to go a step back and try to cover the basis. Basically I tried to address the subject of illusion or maya or to not see truth. A very fine woven illusionary world that can give you the ground for the urge to manipulate each other in the first place. (Disinformation)

I am sincerely touched by the persistence of the logic that the negative elite exercise over the years. The total lack of compassion does on the surface not seems to hinder perceived rightfulness and correctness. I am in no shape of form claiming higher moral ground and excuse for that if i come across that way. I take responsibility for my actions/non actions and never give my powers away to anyone or anything. I am in awe that one hemisphere of the brain alone has such a powerful influence. So ultimately it is the question what inspires one to take a philosophy to heart.

Contemplation of the origin of possible disturbances in our own perceptions should precede the investigation in conspiracy theory or any story or theory for that matter. The recognition that the vehicle reason alone can't bring you to the essence is something I feel lacking if I read the barrage of forum posts. I never feel afraid and feel empowered to positively inspire others. I really hope someone can relate to this angle. I am sincerely interested what motivates others.

Thanks

Hi Ovis - I'm really liking your posts. Probably because I resonate very much with what you're saying :)

That's an interesting question - what motivates one.

Having had a think about it - I can't say I'm motivated by any gain or self interest - my actions arise in the moment as inspired from the place of being that one must exist in to be at peace with oneself.
