More than 20 people have been killed and some 280 injured in a series of explosions at three churches and three hotels in Sri Lanka.

The death toll was confirmed by the director of Colombo's National Hospital.

The attacks hit three churches — St Anthony's in Colombo, St Sebastian's in Negombo, north of the capital, and another in the town of Batticaloa — during Easter Sunday services.

Three separate explosions were also reported at the Shangri La, Cinnamon Grand and Kingsbury hotels in the centre of Colombo.

Alex Agileson, who was near St Anthony's Church, said buildings in the surrounding area shook with the blast.

St Sebastian's Church posted pictures of destruction inside the church on its Facebook page, showing blood on pews and the floor, and requested help from the public.

There were no immediate claims of responsibility.

But documents seen by AFP show that Sri Lanka's police chief Pujuth Jayasundara issued an intelligence alert to top officers 10 days ago, warning that suicide bombers planned to hit "prominent churches".

„A foreign intelligence agency has reported that the NTJ (National Thowheeth Jama'ath) is planning to carry out suicide attacks targeting prominent churches as well as the Indian high commission in Colombo," said the alert.

The NTJ is a radical Muslim group in Sri Lanka that came to notice last year when it was linked to the vandalism of Buddhist statues.

Only around six percent of mainly Buddhist Sri Lanka is Catholic, but the religion is seen as a unifying force because it includes people from both the Tamil and majority Sinhalese ethnic groups.“

Sri Lanka’s state-run press has reported that 138 people have died in a series of Easter Sunday blasts targeting three churches and three hotels.

Six near-simultaneous explosions at churches and hotels have terrorised the public and tourists in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.

A security official said the six explosions hit three churches and three hotels frequented by foreign tourists on Easter Sunday.

The official suspected at least two of the blasts were caused by suicide bombers.

It is believed 35 foreigners are among the dead, including British, American and Dutch citizens.

National Hospital spokesman Dr Samindi Samarakoon says the nearly 300 wounded have been admitted to the capital Colombo’s main hospital alone.

The first blast ripped through St Anthony’s Shrine in Colombo.

A second explosion was reported at St Sebastian’s Church in Negombo, a Catholic majority town north of Colombo.

The Shangri La, Cinnamon Grand and Kingsbury hotels were also targeted in the seemingly synchronised blasts.

I find it hard to see any connection between christian churches being vandalised in France along with the fire in Notre Damme and these attacks rolling out now, except for tha fact it's Easter time for christians.
Let's not hope this will not escalate into more violence such as destruction of mosque's as retaliation.

We all have the incident in Christchurch NZ fresh in mind.

COLOMBO (Reuters) - Seven people were arrested and three police officers were killed during a raid on a house in Colombo on Sunday as the death toll from a rash of bombings at churches and hotels in Sri Lanka rose past 200, police and local media said.

"Altogether we have information of 207 dead from all hospitals. According to the information as of now we have 450 injured people admitted to hospitals," Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera told reporters in Colombo.

Further details of the raid on the house in the Sri Lankan capital were not immediately available.

The eight explosions, some of which officials said were suicide bomb attacks, led to an immediate clampdown, with the government declaring a curfew and blocking access to major social media and messaging sites, including Facebook and WhatsApp.

Sri Lankan police found 87 bomb detonators at the bus station in the nation’s largest city, following horrific bombings which killed 290 people on Easter Sunday.

The detonators were discovered on Monday at a private bus stand located in the Pettah neighborhood of Colombo, police said. The officers initially found just a dozen devices, but later retrieved 75 more while clearing the garbage heap.

Police launched an investigation into the incident. It is unclear whether the devices had anything to do with the multiple coordinated bombings which took place on Easter Sunday.

Suicide bombers set off explosives in several hotels and Catholic churches across the country, killing 290 and injuring hundreds more. An apartment complex was also hit. Another bomb was later discovered near Colombo International Airport and successfully defused.

A total of 24 people were arrested in connection with the attacks, but no group has claimed responsibility so far. Some government officials said that the perpetrators were local Islamist extremists aided by international groups.

It sounds a little slack, but, at least, instead of covering it up, they admit defeat.

321 dead, more than 500 injured. Are we getting inured, numbed? Or just so shocked and perplexed?

Is that the new level of psychological terror: a spiral of apparently pointless violence stepped up, the public not able to make any sense of it, or even construct any explanation. Even the usually quickly made accusations which are mostly based on stereotypes, do not work here.

The majority of the population are Sinhalese Buddhists (including religious sects ready for violence), the minority are Hindu Tamils, Christians and Muslims. The relationship between Buddhists and Muslims is tense (in 2018 the state of emergency was declared because of an escalation of violence).

There‘s the conflict between Tamils and Sinhalese - Christians can be part of both groups - as well as a conflict between the Buddhist hardliners and the Muslim minority. The Muslims see themselves as a seperate ‚ethnic‘ group. In the past churches and mosques have been attacked by radical Buddhist monks or Hindus. Not to forget the Tamil Tigers (LTTE), a most brutal guerrilla organization that fought the government for sixty years to establish an independent Tamil state (who started using suicide bombings in 1987) and the radical Muslim group NTJ who destroyed Buddhist statues and propagate Sharia.

Now the attackers targeted Christians and luxury hotels (tourism industry is/was one of the biggest contributors to the country's economy). The government accuses the NTJ and draw a connection to the Christchurch attack, two days later IS claims responsibility.

The easiest and most obvious answers are seldom the correct ones.

So the circumstances seem to be a bit complicated and anybody who‘s not completely confused by now, please let me know.

Hrm. Around 1880, this type of violence was averted, i. e. there was Christian dominance and then-Ceylon squeaked out equal rights for "unconverted" natives. No Islamic presence at that time.

I can't call this terrorism, it's just a massacre, or crusade. There is no threat or demand, apparently, which is the kind of thing that re-defines violence as terrorism.

Islamic State loves to pin their name on whatever they can, but, that's not to say a Caliphate won't pop up on Thursday. Given the scale of the events, it's hard to imagine that it would suddenly stop.

Sri Lankan police have determined that two of the eight suicide bombers who carried out the Easter Sunday bombings, one of the deadliest terror attacks in recent memory, were the sons of one of the wealthiest businessmen in the country - a spice trader whose family lived in what the New York Times (https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/24/world/asia/sri-lanka-bombers-millionaire.html) described as a "beautiful white villa" just outside of the capital, Colombo.

The spice trader, Mohammad Yusuf Ibrahim, built his fortune on black pepper, white pepper, nutmeg, cloves and vanilla. He was even celebrated by Sri Lanka's former president for his "outstanding service to the nation." But that didn't stop two of his sons from joining a jihadist group and pledging their allegiance to ISIS.

Ibrahim has been arrested, one of 40 people rounded up during the investigation into the attacks, and is presently being questioned by police, who are trying to determine what he knew about his sons' activities, if anything.

An Indian official said that two of Mr. Ibrahim’s sons, who have been identified in Indian media reports as Inshaf and Ilham, were among the eight suicide bombers who struck at hotels and churches across this island. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack, and investigators said Mr. Ibrahim was being extensively interrogated.
When authorities traveled to the family's compound to take Ibrahim into custody, a grisly scene unfolded, as the wife of one of Ibrahim's sons, also clearly a terrorist sympathizer, detonated a suicide vest as police closed in, killing herself, two of her children and several police officers.
During a raid Sunday at his family’s villa near Colombo, Sri Lanka’s capital, a female suspect blew herself up in front of two of her children, killing them all, along with several police officers who were closing in, investigators said. The Indian official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, citing the sensitivity of a major terrorism investigation, said the woman who killed herself and her children was most likely the wife of one of Mr. Ibrahim’s sons.
Officials have been hesitant to reveal the identities of the suspected bombers, but police did say that they were mostly brought up in well-to-do households. Some had been radicalized on YouTube.
Sri Lankan officials have been reluctant to identify the suicide bombers, saying that could hamper their investigation.

But at a news conference on Wednesday, Ruwan Wijewardene, Sri Lanka’s minister of defense, said most of the bombers had been well educated and had come from middle-class or upper-class families.

"Financially they are quite independent and their families are stable financially. So that is a worrying fact," he said. "Some of them have studied in various other countries. They hold degrees, LLMs. They are quite well-educated people."
After claiming responsibility for the bombing, ISIS released a video showing Mohammed Zaharan, who has been identified as another one of the suicide bombers who carried out the attacks on three churches and three hotels, leading masked, black-clad disciples in pledging allegiance to ISIS. As authorities scramble to try and thwart any planned follow-up attacks, Ruwan Wijewardene, Sri Lanka’s minister of defense, has warned that "there could be still a few people out there.” He asked Sri Lankans to remain vigilant.

In a sign that they might have thwarted another planned attack, Sri Lankan police arrested three people on Thursday, seizing grenades and other weapons during a raid in Colombo.

As the official death toll from the attacks hits 359, with another 500 injured, the country's leaders are bickering over who deserves blame for failing to prevent the devastating bombings, since intelligence officials were reportedly warned earlier this month that an attack could be in the offing, but apparently failed to act. Similar thing happened to us when moving to this area--attack by the son of a local wealthy business owner.

What is this, if not dad having a hard time understanding his kids' tv viewing habits? I'm glad no one has painted it with x family/business/government agency must be responsible. The main culprit is the "educated and well to do", same kind that inspired the Student Group and Bolsheviks. Pretty amazing that mom would blow up her kids. This is a pretty good look at individual extremist attitudes. Those are also some pretty powerful resignations. Multi-pronged attack and multiple failures to act. But they sound very different from someone willing to fight in a foreign country due to poverty.

The recent, tragic Easter attack in the South Asian state of Sri Lanka - killing and injuring hundreds - follows a now unfortunately all too familiar formula.

The New York Times has reported in its article, "What We Know and Don't Know About the Sri Lanka Attacks (https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/22/world/asia/sri-lanka-attacks-bombings-explosions-updates.html)," that:
The authorities in Sri Lanka said a little-known radical Islamist group, the National Thowheeth Jama'ath, carried out the attacks, with help from international militants. It is also reported that these extremists received assistance for the large-scale attack from foreign sponsors. The attack has put Sri Lanka on the map for many in the general public for the first time - but for all the wrong reasons.

Countering OBOR: Divide and Destroy
Sri Lanka has recently and decisively pivoted toward Beijing as a major partner of the One Belt, One Road (OBOR) initiative. This is despite Washington's best efforts to prevent it from doing so.

Consequently, extremists fuelled by Washington's "clash of civilizations" have helped set the stage for growing violence between Sir Lanka's majority Buddhists and its minority Muslim communities. The resulting violence serves as a medium for US coercion, destabilization, and intervention aimed at undermining Sri Lanka's unity as a nation, and thus its viability as a partner for China.

A nearly identical ploy has been used in nearby Myanmar where US-backed Buddhist extremists battle against US-Saudi-Qatari backed extremism rising from the ranks of the nation's Muslim Rohingya minority.

The resulting violence and growing humanitarian crisis - without coincidence - is unfolding in Myanmar's Rakhine state (https://journal-neo.org/2018/07/03/militants-threaten-chinas-obor-initiative-in-myanmar-2/) - precisely where China is attempting to build another leg of its region-spanning OBOR initiative.

Sri Lanka has signed on to OBOR in a big way, with major rail (https://www.businesstoday.in/current/world/sri-lanka-builds-fastest-railway-line-first-time-after-independence-with-china-assistance/story/335847.html), port (https://www.scmp.com/news/asia/south-asia/article/2182461/chinese-firm-completes-14-billion-land-reclamation-works-sri), airport, and highway (https://www.reuters.com/article/sri-lanka-china-loans/sri-lanka-signs-1-bln-loan-with-china-to-build-highway-idUSL3N2192HZ) projects all moving forward with Beijing's support. Sri Lanka is also considered by Western policymakers as one of several among China's strategic "String of Pearls (https://edition.cnn.com/2018/02/03/asia/china-sri-lanka-string-of-pearls-intl/index.html)," strong points where China can secure maritime routes through waters traditionally dominated by the United States.

These projects are derided across the Western media with headlines like the New York Times' article, "How China Got Sri Lanka to Cough Up a Port (https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/25/world/asia/china-sri-lanka-port.html)" and France24's article, "In Sri Lanka, the new Chinese Silk Road is a disappointment (https://www.france24.com/en/20190324-sri-lanka-new-chinese-silk-road-disappointment-economy-debt-italy-france-investment)" - characterizing Washington's growing opposition to China's expanding influence across Asia - a region Washington has long presumed primacy over.

Washington's ability to compete with China regarding regional development is nonexistent. Instead, the US has tried to tempt nations like Sri Lanka with military aid.

AFP in an article titled, "US gives Sri Lankan military US$39 million, countering China's investments in strategic island (https://www.scmp.com/news/asia/east-asia/article/2159546/us-gives-sri-lankan-military-us39-million-combat-chinas)," would claim:
The US funding for Sri Lanka is part of a US$300 million package Washington is setting aside for South and Southeast Asia to ensure a "free, open, and rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific region". This "free, open, and rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific region," is how the US regularly refers to US primacy in Asia throughout policy papers (https://www.cogitasia.com/the-role-of-the-quad-in-the-free-and-open-indo-pacific-concept-a-policy-coordination-mechanism-for-rules-based-order/), diplomatic statements (https://www.voacambodia.com/a/us-envoy-calls-for-free-open-and-rules-based-indo-pacifics/4847249.html), and even political speeches (https://dod.defense.gov/News/Transcripts/Transcript-View/Article/1538599/remarks-by-secretary-mattis-at-plenary-session-of-the-2018-shangri-la-dialogue/).

It is obvious that "military aid" can in no way compete with massive investments by China aimed at spurring national development through tangible infrastructure projects.

America's inability to compete openly and on equal economic footing has given way to political interference and even the use of violence.

Sri Lanka's Crisis Linked to US-Driven Crisis in Myanmar
In Myanmar, the US is documented to have supported ethnic violence for years (https://landdestroyer.blogspot.com/2012/09/us-funded-activsts-exposed-as-genocidal.html). The US all but installed current "State Counsellor" Aung San Suu Kyi into power along with her political party - the National League for Democracy (NLD) lined top to bottom with US State Department-funded "activists. Despite the liberal facade constructed by the Western media around Suu Kyi, her political party, and factions supporting both - rampant bigotry and racism pervades all three (https://journal-neo.org/2015/03/05/myanmar-meet-aung-san-suu-kyi-s-saffron-mobs/).

Simultaneously, US-funded fronts posing as nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) have worked to co-opt and wield Rohingya communities as an equal but opposing political weapon while US-allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar (https://journal-neo.org/2019/01/03/us-ngo-teams-up-with-gulf-terror-sponsor-to-target-asia/) have begun radicalizing and arming factions within Rohingya communities to carry out armed violence across Rakhine state.

The resulting conflagration affords the US and its partners a pretext to intervene (https://journal-neo.org/2017/09/08/us-to-fight-us-saudi-sponsored-terrorism-in-asia/) on an ever expanding scale - giving Washington access to and leverage over Myanmar to counter Beijing's growing influence.

Articles from across the Western media including the UK Independent's 2018 article titled, "Violent Buddhist extremists are targeting Muslims in Sri Lanka (https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/sri-lanka-buddhist-extremists-muslims-target-clash-hate-speech-kandy-ampara-a8332401.html)," even establish direct links between Myanmar's and Sri Lanka's growing conflicts.

The article would admit:
Currently, Sri Lanka's most active Buddhist extremist group is Bodu Bala Sena (Buddhist power force, or BBS). BBS entered politics in 2012 with a Buddhist-nationalist ideology and agenda, its leaders claiming that Sri Lankans had become immoral and turned away from Buddhism. And whom does it blame? Sri Lankan Muslims.

BBS's rhetoric takes its cue from other populist anti-Muslim movements around the globe, claiming that Muslims are "taking over" the country thanks to a high birth rate. It also accuses Muslim organisations of funding international terrorism with money from Halal-certified food industries. These aren't just empty words; in 2014, one of their anti-Muslim protest rallies in the southern town of Aluthgama ended with the death of four Muslims.

BBS also has links to Myanmar's extremist 969 movement. Led by nationalist monk Ashin Wirathu, who calls himself the "Burmese Bin Laden", it is notorious for its hardline rhetoric against the Rohingya Muslim community. The West's use of "Islamophobia" to sell its serial wars of aggression and to divide nations around the globe is a classic example of "divide and conquer.

While the West no longer possesses any real means to "conquer" the nations it is now targeting - it does possess the capacity to use resulting divisions to destroy them. If the US cannot hold primacy over Asia - no one will. It is a "War on Peace" waged under the guise of a "War on Terrorism."

Sri Lanka appears to be but the latest victim of Washington's now trademark "slash and burn" foreign policy - where it is fueling conflict to consume political orders that oppose its interests, and building upon the ashes ones that do serve them instead.

In the coming days, weeks, and months - not only will more information emerge linking the recent attacks in Sri Lanka to Washington, Riyadh, and Doha's global network of terrorism - but additional pressure will also be mounted upon Sri Lanka to divest from Beijing and pivot back toward the West.

In reality - Sri Lanka's violence is an artificial construct carried out by a tiny minority of extremists on either side of an equally artificial ethnoreligious divide. The nation and the region must unite in purpose - as peace and stability benefit them all - while chaos benefits only a handful of waning interests from afar.

If that's the case, then I would suspect that organization to be at the top of the purse-strings holders which finances anyone and everyone that wreaks havoc all around.

The major difference between Notre Dame and Sri Lanka suicide bombings is this one: at the time when the roof of Notre Dame was still burning, the official version was "Accident, short circuit!"... very reminiscent of the "Russian Buk missile shot down MH17!" propaganda campaign launched on no evidence. That's very indicative of who actually did it as a false flag.

In this part of the world, they are also considered the same, but I am not sure the organization is much more than that segment of "the educated and well-to-do" who have the attitude of superiority. It can have many names, and "shake hands across party lines", so the common factor is the mentality.

In the mid-east, IS has been surprisingly sparing of Jewish and Christian targets. In their belief, a "heretic Muslim" is a worse type of being. I am surprised that Sri Lanka has been heavily invested by Abrahamic religions; this is bizarre, and probably asking for trouble.

The U. S. method, by comparison, is to give weapons to the SDF, who sells them to Al Qaeda. U. S. can then say, "we didn't do it", even though they know exactly what happens. I don't know if something similar happened here, and in this case, I would like to see what the local authorities come up with. I expect they are less unreliable and spin-prone than in Europe. Maybe they will take back their island and purge all those churches and mosques; as usual, it sounds like the best option.

This is according to Serialbrain2 decoding of Qanon and various tweets from POTUS Trump, and cabal members, for your consideration.

It seems there was meant to be an attack carried out on Notre Dame Cathedral on the 21/4/19 and this was plan A, this was thwarted by a preemptive attack by the French white hates/good guys in the CIA which occurred on the 15/4/19.

As a consequence Plan B was initiated by the cabal and that was for an attack on churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on the 21/4/19.

The easter period being an important time for satanic sacrifices.

Some other notes regarding the Notre Dame Cathedral fire:
- The removing of the heads of the 12 apostles was meant to be a symbolic beheading.
- The removable of the apostles and other spiritually positive artefacts such as the crown of thornes was meant to be a removable of any godly influence from the intended sacrifical event.
- Allowing only negative influence to be present in the Cathedral during the sacrifice.

The intent was to usher in the unrestrained anti christ, and is actually represented in the video below see at the 5.50 minute mark.

Notice in the background what looks to be a cathedral when the tower collapses the crown of thornes on the anti christ head fades away.
