Hi Everyone!
I am desperately looking for a pdf copy of this book and I can’t find it anywhere! Can anyone help! I would be forever grateful!!
The only ones I can find for sale are $200 on amazon. Which seems insane. I found ones for $40 but they are the new edition. My problem is that It has to be the first edition (9/1/1988).
The book is :
Title: catastrophism and the Old Testament; Donald Wesley patten
(The mars earth conflict)
Here is the
ISBN-13: 978-0880702904, ISBN-10: 0880702907
Thanks so much in advance for any help! You can PM me or reply here. Ok thanks so much!
Best,
Sara

I see on Bookfinder.com there's first editions from 99.74Euro (You might see dollar price). https://www.bookfinder.com/search/?author=&title=catastrophism+and+the+Old+Testament&lang=en&isbn=&new_used=*&first_ed=on&destination=nl¤cy=EUR&mode=basic&st=sr&ac=qr
I did a search on filetype: pdf and the Title, though wasn't able to find an open pdf. The book is mentioned in this pdf (http://www.g2rp.com/InsightPDFs/Nov%2012%202012%20War%20in%20the%20heavens%20Battle%20for%20the%202nd%20heaven%C2%A0part%20II.pdf) and contains a couple of quotes from the book. When googling for quotes from that book, I'm not getting any direct hits other then mentioned pdf containing the quotes.

Thanks so much for all of your help!! I will try that site. Yeah I came up with the same empty search results, trying all of the ways I know how. Thank you for that link to the cheaper one, that's the one I originally found, it said it was the first edition but said revised in the description. Maybe this one is different. I was told to make sure the cover looked like this but I have no idea if that means anything or not when it's online. :
I've never had this much trouble locating a copy of a book before. Pretty crazy.
Anyway, thanks so much for your replies! much appreciated.

Excellent. I, too, looked for it, but was unable to find it.
If you send it to me at bill@projectavalon.net (by http://WeTransfer.com if it's too large for an e-mail attachment) I'd be delighted to add it to the Avalon Library.

Hey Sara,
How’s the book?
I’ve just watched a megalithomania presentation that reminded me of one of this books Amazon reviews:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Catastrophism-Old-Testament-Earth-Conflicts/dp/B00071GUKQ
Although written supposedly from a Creationist viewpoint, this book has a fascinating theory of 52 year cycles of catastrophes caused by close passages of the planet Mars to earth. The author(s) (I add the s because the author talks of his "team" and regularly refers to particular people with various expertise) seem not to have heard that the Maya calendar also has 52 year cycles, but rather based their theory on shifts in the geomagnetic poles, which they date as having ending around 701 BCE. The book focuses only on disasters mentioned in the Bible, ending with the destruction of Sennacherib's 185,000 soldiers, recorded both in the Bible and Assyrian history, which both said the troops died in one night from a bolt from the skies. Mainstream archaeology has no explanation for this, other than vague things like the plague killed them all in one night.
Interestingly, another book by Otto Muck about Atlantis uses the Mayan 52 year cycle to date its destruction, and his date falls close, but not right on Patten's 52 year cycles.
The presentation is based on the Nebra Sky disc (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nebra_sky_disk), an artefact discovered in Saxony, Germany, which dates to 1600BC.
Howard Crowhurst, the presenter, discusses how the Mayan counting system is encoded into the markings, and can be used to track the movement of Mars in relation to the sun and moon.

The implications of a Mayan-Saxon-Sumerian culture dating to 1600BC would be huge, and this book you were looking for could explain why they were tracking the movement of Mars with their sky discs. Would love to have a look through a copy if you’ve managed to scan it into PDF form yet.
