First real post on here so if anyone has any tips on formatting or any other suggestions please let me know!

I'm sure you're all aware of the website Quora. If not, a quick explanation is that it's a Q&A site where verified professionals as well as anonymous users can respond to questions on virtually any topic.

Ibteesam Reaz, Staff Physicist at Lockheed Martin recently answered a Quora question regarding Navy Pilot UFO sightings.

I've copied what I think are the most interesting portions of his response, but I encourage you to read the whole thing here:

Source: https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-most-plausible-explanations-of-Navy-pilots-seeing-hypersonic-objects-at-30K-feet-objects-with-no-visible-engine-and-sometimes-described-as-a-cube-within-a-sphere-See-link

Q: "What are the most plausible explanations of Navy Pilots seeing hypersonic objects at 30K feet, objects with no visible engine and sometimes described as a cube within a sphere?"

To which Ibteesam responded"

Someone has discovered a propulsion technology which does not rely on jets of gas or emission of particles, otherwise, we would see contrails. There are no sonic booms as the craft accelerates. This is a hint that the makers are using some esoteric form of propulsion (related to the gravitational field?).

Someone has discovered how to make: right-angled turns in all directions at supersonic speeds; almost instantaneous acceleration from rest and similarly almost instantaneous deceleration from supersonic speeds to rest. (I said ALMOST instantaneous— it may well APPEAR instantaneous due to an altered metric tensor. Thus, the apparent time taken for a maneuver would not be the same for the occupants of the aircraft.)

Thus, someone has discovered how to mitigate g-forces to a very large extent. A highly trained pilot can withstand about 10g’s. But craft described by the military regularly force their internal contents (note: occupants, if there are any) to experience hundreds of g’s. The USS Nimitz UFO dropped from 28 000 feet to 50 feet in 0.78 seconds … That is, for reference, 10 900 m/s. The craft’s other “buddies” (similarly sized capsules) previously had dropped from 80 000 feet to 20 000 feet in a few seconds.

He goes on to describe why he thinks these craft were not developed in black projects, based on his contacts within Skunkworks & Phantomworks.

So, what are your thoughts?

I believe this to be a verified account of his, but i don't know enough about Quora to be 100% sure. Can we be sure this is actually him?

What are the implications of a scientist of his caliber, in his position, commenting on issues like this? Would this not fly in the face of his superiors?

I have never ever had a good Quora answer to any of my technical questions that I have researched (not asked directly).
As predicted, the two naive answers to his questions are absurd. They are calling the pilots as fools. or think that this is a military operation.

I would rate Quora somewhere below asking my neighbor for advice.
Even when some answers were somewhat close to what I needed, they were far too general or just plain wrong.

Um, from the link (https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-most-plausible-explanations-of-Navy-pilots-seeing-hypersonic-objects-at-30K-feet-objects-with-no-visible-engine-and-sometimes-described-as-a-cube-within-a-sphere-See-link) he also says :

Among the great conspiracy theories is that they are actually the product of US government black projects. These contracts are assumed to be given out to Lockeed Skunkworks or Northrop Phantomworks. I do work on aerodynamics at Lockheed Martin at Forth Worth and have a few friends from the Skunkworks division here. Whenever I have tried to ask them about the feasibility of black projects resulting in these aircraft, they flat out say that our engineering methodologies are not far enough developed to build such craft. Besides, why would the US be pumping out $60 B on F-35s that can barely reach Mach 2?

Perhaps, he should ask his "friends" if they've ever heard of Don Phillips or Ben Rich because they have VERY DIFFERENT views ?

Don Phillips "Top Secret Technology from Extraterrestrials"

Don Phillips, Contractor, USAF, CIA, Lockheed Skunkworks

Don Phillips was in the Air Force at Las Vegas Air Force Base during an event when UFOs were seen moving at enormous speeds near Mt. Charleston, northwest of Las Vegas.

In addition, he worked with Kelly Johnson at the Lockheed Skunkworks — on design and construction of the U-2 and SR-71 Blackbird.

He testifies that we not only have these extraterrestrial devices, but have also achieved tremendous technological advances from their study.

He states that in the 1950's and 1960's, NATO did research into the origin of ET races, and disseminated reports to the leaders of various countries.

I'd say it's probably best to keep "an open mind" on such matters eh ? :)

Wow, thanks Clear Light. I've heard most if not all the Ben Rich stories/quotes, but never heard of Don Phillips. Will be listening to that interview.

Here is an interesting development.

"Ibteesam Reaz, Staff Physicist at Lockheed Martin" -- he was deleted on quora.

Reddit has a very interesting debate about that quora question -- see here (https://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comments/c2jskt/a_few_hours_ago_ibteesam_reaz_staff_physicist_at/)

Ibteesam Reaz's linkedin -- gone!!

Here is a quote on reddit:

Also his work credentials are pretty impressive as well which are visible in the link I provided, research scientist at B/E aerospace, Boeing Structural analyst engineer, definitely not deserving of your dismissive comment.

Oh, with regards to the purported validity of "Ibteesam Reaz", the following link has now also vanished (although not quite "without trace") :

I didn't get as far as actually downloading his "Wind Turbine Dissertation" because it required a "Paid For" account at https://www.academia.edu/ !

Oh, strangely enough, or not at all, but if one types in the URL :

https://www.quora.com/profile/Ibteesam-Reaz/activity it diverts to https://www.quora.com/profile/Bob-Bigelow-4/activity !!!

And likewise with :

https://www.quora.com/profile/Ibteesam-Reaz/questions, it diverts to https://www.quora.com/profile/Bob-Bigelow-4/questions !!!

Someone's having a "bit of fun" eh ? ;)

It gets even better. Just enter the search words "quora ibteesam" or even better "ibteesam site:www.quora.com" -- without the quotes -- and you will see these search results on google -- emphasis mine:
