In answer to the question posed in the title of this thread :-

To put it simply, UFOs & the ET presence (or whatever you want to call them) is THE BIGGEST SUBJECT
in the history of the human race.

To elaborate a little :-

I'm old now (born during WW2 in England while the German bombs were dropping all around us).
I've watched the UFO subject develop since 1947, when they were called "Flying Saucers".
For what it's worth, I'm still as interested now as I was during the 1950s, if not more so having had over 70 years to think about the subject.

Over the years, it became obvious that the people in control of this world were COVERING IT UP.
Personally that made me even more interested.
Everything else (like politics, religion, mortgages, cars, sport, entertainment, tv, even Wilcock & Goode) just pales into INSIGNIFICANCE
- merely a DISTRACTION.

If these "critters" are here and are more advanced than us, I WANNA KNOW ABOUT THEM.
Regarding them being more advanced than us, HOORAY, that gives me some hope.
I would hate to think that our pathetic leaders, and a large chunk of our society are the best that we can muster.

While I am quite prepared to die today if that is my destiny, I would like to live long enough to see total Disclosure.
Obviously "soft disclosure" has begun with TTSA etc, but it's worth questioning WHO GAVE THEM the green light ??
I doubt we will get total Disclosure, but we will see just how far it goes and in which direction.

So on a personal note, this is why I'm here and having to continually read between the lines in order to learn about the UFO subject,
and continually having to sort the corn from the chaff (plenty of that).

Can you imagine how frustrating it's been ? -

In particular, a LIFETIME of not being able to discuss the subject with friends and family, or just acquaintances -
THAT'S MADE MY LIFE AN UNNECESSARY STRUGGLE.

TTSA's "Unidentified" not shown here in England yet, so you can't go around talking about UFOs, without people thinking, you're crazy !

(There have been exceptions - I have one son who knows the truth, and another who knows but won't admit it).

What's really frustrating, is knowing that the people in control of this world are actually not the kind of people
worthy of looking up to.

I was in a party last night. One of my friends keeps calling me gullible or mocking me for believing in the UFO. Even though I stopped talking about it among friends long ago. I completely agree with what all have said so far in this thread.
I have been following the topic for at least 50 years and have studied this topic from pretty much every angle, scientific, religious, skepticism, politics, denial, psychology, sci-fi, awareness etc..
The fears people have about who will control the narrative is to me is understandable, but I feel misguided. Control implies that people will accept as gospel truth from those who reveal anything, but that can only work if those believers are mindless.
As soon as one starts questioning the narrative, it falls apart completely. No one can control it if the topic becomes mainstream. The best they can do is muddy things up as has been done for many decades.

Consider this: even when aliens start landing on every lawn and be allowed to be photographed, it will raise even more questions. I mean this is so logical as we question the motives even of our friends and not just our enemies.
Every bit of knowledge raises more question for those who seek understanding.
No topic is complete, not life, not death, not religion, not science.
I don't give a damn who reveals anything, because I will continue to question, and no, not the idiotic skeptical approach of immediate dismissal but simply to ask "why do you think that?", "what are your experiences?", "how does this compare to others'?", "what are you working on?", "what is your evidence?".

It is even simpler. If an undisputed alien went on TV (or what ever medium) and made statements there will be some percentage of blind believers but the rest will question and demand even more answers like "how many other aliens have you met?", "what are they like?", "why now?", "how?", etc...

They try and tell us it's fearful to allow ET's into our world. I always knew of two kinds. The ones born into a human skin who call themselves star seeds and the ones who come to the planet and are covered up by the media. I have seen a few in my time. I don't get how the Government are mixing with some of them but covering it up out of fear. May be some of the aliens in the universe are dark energies?????????/

That is a profound and beautiful thought and I can't imagine a better perspective.

Unfortunately, the abduction and mutilation phenomena indicate that some of the alien presence on earth is at best weird and at worst a very bad thing. Although there are angelic beings here, and benevolent aliens, we are faced with at best, a parasitic faction of ETs here that we are unable to defend against. This fact will play into the military's hand that will spin this to get more money and use as an excuse to develop more lethal weaponry, and also governments could use this to enact more draconian laws to 'protect' us. I don't know of a solution to this conundrum. Perhaps some of the 'good guy' ET's have a suggestion (tho you'd need to be sure they are actually good guys to do what they suggest).

The phenomenon certainly does not have to be exclusive to out there or here.
As boja said, it could be all of the above and much much more.
It could be from other planets, other times, other universes, it could be originally alien but have been here for longer than humanity.
It could be many combinations of that as there is no evidence that it is only a single "alien".
It could be just advanced synthetic beings driving probes, or all of the above.
Throw in time travel and things get really complicated and delicate to even talk about.

The only thing painfully obvious is the phenomenon is not public, as neither the "aliens" nor the governments reveal it or perhaps even know how to reveal it.

I could speculate all kinds of scenarios, and all could be valid, but it is tiring or frustrating because most people don't really seem to give a damn.
For example, instead of the topic being UFOs, it could be human genetic engineering, and the outcome is similar, as most governments would deny it, or be appalled, or elusive.
Same for germ warfare, or super advanced technologies, etc...

I want to know, because it says something about existence, whether it is a simulation or whatnot.
If my mind is not designed to comprehend the larger picture, so be it.
If nobody really knows, I want to know that too.

Imagine if we are all blind but we want to understand sight, or deaf and wish to comprehend sound.

We need to be aware of any manipulation controlled by any govt. They may/could be controlled by forces we do mot know about.
If we are being steered toward a non- human destiny we should take notice and pay attention to any signs of that, and I see signs that this is so.

Being human is not that bad really. I know we have our faults but it is a wonderful life. We can't give it up.

As far as aliens being advanced in every way, I think there is a lot of "evidence" suggesting otherwise.
Having read Charles Hall's "Millennial Hospitality" series, the Tall Whites seem anything but advanced beings. They seem to be terrified by humans to the point of paranoia. They have no interest or compassion for other lower life forms and in fact are amazed how us humans can trust for example dogs or horses. They claim that other advanced cultures they have come across are all vegetarians (themselves included) and all have killed off all the lower animals.
Also, most of the Tall Whites themselves don't understand the technology they wield, just as most humans have no understanding of the construction of a cell phone. Charles Hall writes that when a ship was damaged, they had to bring in a few specialists who spend most of their life specializing in ship engine repair and nothing else. This is understandable. The Tall Whites I suppose are closer to us and so perhaps behave in similar ways. They do live longer, but any physical damage to themselves takes as long to heal as the ratio of their lifespans with the humans' (which for some reason makes no sense to me).

Another example comes from David Jacob's "Walking Among Us" where the highly advanced and powerful Insectalins (praying mantis type beings that run the abduction phenomenon) are forever annoyed at their hubrids (final stage human hybrids - the previous steps being called hybrids) exhibiting human characteristics such as emotion, strong will, stubbornness, laughter and so on. In their attempt to replace humans with hubrids they were not able to predict that outcome and how it was interfering in maintaining a control hierarchy.

As for being human, well, I'm not sure what that means. I mean we have all kinds of behaviors among us ranging from angelic to satanic. We prefer to call humans psychopaths who willingly commit atrocities, but aren't they still human?
Also, one cannot predict how one will react to all kinds of EM fields (including 5G), drugs (natural or artificial), foods, drowning, etc...
One thing they beat into our heads during diver's rescue course is to never approach a drowning person head on, always go around them and grab their neck as many rescuers have died while trying to save a panicking drowning person.

Change in humanity is unavoidable. Who can say what we will be 10,100, or 1000 years from now, assuming we can even survive that long.
What will "humans" from 1000 years call us?

I'm in the same boat Boja, or should I say UFO lol. I've witnessed three over my lifetime, two when I was thirteen, which looked like footballs. Trust me when I say, humans had absolutely nothing like them in those days. We were still flying prop planes around and just starting to fly jets. The third was 2016, over my house. My daughter saw it also and is now a believer. This subject has led me down many rabbit holes and cost me friends, family and credibility in some circles. I joined Bill here and others the very first day, I'm an old-timer and not just in years on this Planet but in soul years. I know this now and have had to accept this.

When they scoff, and scoff they do, I just ask them one question. Where's your evidence they don't exist ? Here's my evidence they do, books, videos, paintings, eyewitness reports from thousands of years ago and that's just the start of this massive subject. I don't get upset any more by them, no time to waste my energy on their negativity.

I think you are getting close to some important but disturbing truths. Of course the Universe is teaming with all manner of alien lifeforms – the good, bad and ugly. But we should also be mindful that we can only physically see in the visible light range which is a tiny fraction of the full light/energy spectrum.

I suspect there is a long history of influence and manipulation from some hidden critters that can affect human nature in both positive and negative ways – AI & 5G.

Unfortunately, those wicked lot in high places appear to be highly influence by these
