An asteroid that’s filled with gold and enough precious metals to turn everyone on Earth into a billionaire is being studied by Nasa. The asteroid – known as 16 Psyche – has a mass of less than 1% of our moon and it contains heaps of platinum, iron and nickel alongside the gold. The combined total value of all those precious metals would equal out at something like $700 quintillion. If you brought it back to Earth and shared out the profits equally, it would make all seven billion of us a billionaire many times over. Sadly enough, it’s an economically impossibility. The combined world economy is £59.9 trillion – so injecting several quintillion (a one with 18 zeroes behind it) into it would cause the whole thing to come crashing down. Logistically speaking, bringing back the whole asteroid would take some doing. It’s currently sitting out there somewhere between Mars and Jupiter. Psyche measures about 140 miles across and Nasa has known about it for a while. The space agency is planning to launch a craft in August 2022 to visit the asteroid. The plan is to arrive there by 2026 and spend 21 months in orbit, conducting a full study of the space rock with equipment like an ultispectral imager, a gamma ray and neutron spectrometer and a magnetometer. Of course, this would only be for scientific purposes – Nasa isn’t looking to make money off the asteroid at the moment.

There's a paradox here, of course — because gold is only valuable because it's quite rare.

If everyone on the planet had a whole bunch of gold, it'd be valueless.... maybe $0.01 / oz. :) I guess you could use it for jewelry! (Because it'd still look nice.) And tooth crowns, and electronic components... almost nothing else.

If theres one theres more. Just that one asteroid makes the future of asteroid mining a justifiable goal for the resources- I'm not even thinking about the "value" so to speak - just the rarity and uses for these minerals and metals for tech in times to come. It all seems to slowly fall into place just as we need it. Uncanny!

Maybe that area of space is/was ruled by other space travellers?
Maybe we don't full understand the finer aspects of metal/minerals, our Earthly matter being better energetically pure or something?
Maybe what was being mined here was needed for them to use here and or using it to get back home with?

Thats as I pointed out at the end of the opening post - I think that this could put paid to that particular hypothesis !

But first they've got to get there !
And if there is a major ssp then it would already make sense that there already there, which then begs the question why the need to funnel funds to finance with such wealth easily accessible ?

Yes, isn't it Zecharia Sitchin who said that the Annunaki were interested in our planet for it's gold, that they created homo sapiens (or an earlier version) so that we could mine gold in South Africa and do the back breaking labor? Originally gold was a sacred metal used by holy people and as offerings to the spirits, gods etc
It was hung on sacred trees and made into divining bowls.

Gold had no capitalistic worth at all.

I now think we all pay to much literal capitalistic focus on the word GOLD.
That is what the Annunaki installed in us, installed into this planets futures.

Because to us, they turned our minds into seeing gold as money/worth:
1) not only took away most of it's sacred energies/meaning and reverence.
2) It put our planet (us) on a capitalistic greedy path.
3) It put our planet (us) on a industrial path, technological path.

So they turned us into a machine, a evolving production line striving away from spiritual energies

Gold to us is now very much a commodity of wealth and power.
It has made us turn this once healthy and sacred planet inside out, upside down with us along with it.

So they might not have been after the gold so much as using it to produce a factory planet.
