Controversial secret space program "whistleblower" Pete Peterson has died, according to a post on David Wilcock's Facebook page.

It is with deep sadness that I must report that Pete Peterson passed away in Boise, Idaho yesterday.
I got the call from a mutual acquaintance and then got an email from someone else about an hour later.
Pete will be getting a military funeral with full respect. I will say more when I have had a chance to process this.
Pete has been of great interest to the Project Avalon community, as Bill and Kerry were two people that helped bring Pete to a type of prominence within the UFOlogical arena of study and discussion (David being a notable, longstanding, and arguably more visible third person). Later, of course, Bill came to regret the lack of vetting that Kerry and he had done with Pete.
While keeping in mind the general respect for the dead we would, perhaps we can use this thread to address some lingering questions about the legitimacy of Peterson's claims, and help contextualize (with evidence and "receipts" whenever possible) his various claims to the community at large.

Before watching these videos, as Kerry suggests, I would recommend reading this thread (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?99679-The-Truth-about-Pete-Peterson-David-Wilcock-the-foreclosure-the-dead-cats-and-GoFundMe), which reflects some of the good research Project Avalon members have done on Pete Peterson.

For better or for worse, the Pete Peterson interview by Bill, Kerry, and David is what landed me here initially several years back - trying to find that darned electret device that feels oh-so-well to rub on your hand joints.
Although my search wasn't fruitful, for reasons we're aware of now, I gratefully thank Pete, where/when-ever he may now be, for being the catalyst that pushed me onto the wildest ride you couldn't even pay me enough to imagine.

Spoke with Pete in June. Found him after a long search. went to see him several years ago, before his wife passed. Cant say much as Im not really sure what all was real & what all wasn't. More confused now than ever.

Oh, it seems as if there's some Discrepancy about who it was that actually did "pass" :

Surely DW can't be so mistaken about this ?

There is a growing tendency of people in the U.S.A. to NOT place obituaries listings in newspapers. Now that the internet has severely cut into newspaper revenues, newspapers frequently charge about $400 for an obituary. Some funeral homes do place listing on places like legacy. com, but if Peterson was penniless when he died, he probably got the low budget cremation without any kind of death notice.
If Gary "Pete" Peterson died in Idaho, than the official death certificate should become available at the Idaho State Archive (https://history.idaho.gov/archives/) in Boise. If someone by that name died on that day, then we can be pretty certain that he is the same Pete Peterson. Also, there is a Social Security Death Index (https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/ssdi/), but this record is several years out of date.

Much gratitude to the watchdogs looking into verifying this.
Wilcock also claims there would be a military funeral???? Surely Wilcock, Goode, Sather, Salla, etc would all make an appearance. Perhaps Salla could be contacted to verify.
Appreciate the updates, please keep 'em coming when found.

Oh, I'd also be inclined to go with his "given" first name as being "Gary" because if one looks at the attached PDF from Bill's post The Truth about 'Pete' Peterson, David Wilcock, the foreclosure, the dead cats, and GoFundMe (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?99679-The-Truth-about-Pete-Peterson-David-Wilcock-the-foreclosure-the-dead-cats-and-GoFundMe&p=1178189&viewfull=1#post1178189) (Sept 2017) you'll see the name of one of the Defendants is "Gary Peterson" eh ?
It was just a regular foreclosure that had been in process for years. Full documentation here:
