Why is it important for you @thepainterdoug (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/member.php?21016-thepainterdoug) to ask for the obvious? ... or are you just having fun how some do (pretend) not see the obvious? ;)

When President Trump just visited Minnesota for a rally, 20,000 were in attendance, 25,000 were outside of the auditorium , and 100,000 applied for tickets for the event. The wack job media is doing its best to make this president and his cabinet look the absolute worst but guess what. The American people aren't buying this shxx anymore from the media that walks hand in hand with the EXTREME LIBERAL side and Hollywood. I'm an independent and there are role models who are Democrats, Republicans and independents in this country, problem is the media latches onto anything extreme and nothing productive or in the best interests of us Americans.
When President Trump was elected President , There were some Extremist who wanted to buy Twitter so he couldn't get his message out. And then when President Trump came to Michigan and the Metro Detroit area last year my buddy and his family walked 2 miles to get to the rally because of all the parked cars and couldn't get in because it was full but he said to me his was just glad to be there. I have another buddy who is in the Bikers for Trump organization and talks about it all the time. This is the american spirit, the true american spirit happening all over this country that's not getting reported but us real Americans know what is happening:).

The especialist Allan Lichtman, a historian from American University knowed by "Prediction Professor", since 1984 hits all US president elections.
He also predicted that Trump might be impeached during his term because of difficult relationship with Republican party leaders, and because Trump is very careless about laws enforcement.
after Reagan (1981-1989) and George H.W.Bush (1989-1993), Clinton (dem), George W.Bush (rep), Obama (dem), the two parties alternated in power for two consecutive terms, and Lichtman already has predicted that Republicans will stay in power in 2020 elections.
pehaps worth to see how the Professor do these analyzes, with the 13 Keys to the White House (https://macroaffairs.com/13-keys-to-the-white-house-2020-allan-lichtman/books/).
I think Trump have all the advantages .. we'll see !!

If the Democratic party nominates Elizabeth Warren or any other socialist, Trump will win in a landslide. And that is my prediction. For a Democrat to win, their candidate must appeal to independent voters. A socialist turns off independent voters. It is hard to believe the Dems are being led down their particular road to perdition - by themselves.
I fully agree with Bill Ryan in that the concern is for after the election. It is taking a long time to drain the swamp. It may very well take all 8 years of a Trump presidency to make a big dent in that undertaking. The rats are pushing back hard.
When I observe Trump I always think of the team behind him. 10 people. 7 military and 3 civilians, one of whom is the President. These people are trying to take down the deep state. In the USA that begins with the CIA. They are trying to do what JFK tried and failed to do. Thankfully, they have the support of the NSA and others. The NSA is a huge key.
Also, our daughter lives in Jersey City and works in Manhattan. She is imbued with the typical New York City holier than thou mindset whereby most city dwellers view Trump as a great pretender, a charlatan and a jerk. Nothing more. The books that will be written on the Trump presidency will be epic. That man saved the US?? Really?? But you kid.
We live in an interesting time. So much happening. I only hope we come through it all and can smile after another ten years.

Things will build to a peak and just when it looks like Trump has lost he'll bring the hammer down on all of them that haven't been knocked down and out by the time it happens. Shep Smith, next Jeff Zucker, probably Zuckerberg soon after and Oct is only half way over! WE GOT MORE SURPISES TO COME! Trump in a landslide is my prediction because I am noting that even hard core dems in my own family are noticing things don't add up when the democrats speak. If my mom notices in the back hills of WV they all do.

Trump will win. Not because he's good at it, but because he tells the people what they want to hear. Just like our dear beloved BOJO .

Very likely Trump will have his 2nd term. Just look at the amount of his twitter, facebook & instagram followers. Its a popularity contest. Presidents have to be the star of the show nowadays. But I would like to see Andrew Yang make it to the late stages to debate Trump, it would be freakin interesting. The rest of the other dem candiates are goners, very obvious to many paying attention.

"he tells the people what they want to hear" ... that goes with everybody same for you and me ... and to be 100% correct : Trump says things MOST never dare to say "because of the consequences" they call it "political suicide" but he did it anyway. Then he was viciously misrepresented by lame-stream media non-stop daring to expose/attack the status-quo.
The quote: "he tells the people what they want to hear" is a NO BRAINER ... it can also be used as a perfect excuse NOT to consider nor to really listen what he has accomplished! ... Then after doing that, (not listening) claiming "he has nothing accomplished" ... There 100s of lame excuses people use not to listen nor to consider if your mind is already made up.

My opinion/ people need to understand the times we live and who they are up against. For those who hate Trump, you need to understand it is we the people, the people that love reality TV, the people that are enamored with celebrity, the people who love jersey housewives , honey boo boo, mob housewives , and all the in your face mean spirited cooking shows etc. We are the people that support this on TV , or these shows would cease to exist. And mr Trump is schooled in this. He understands this. I said months back in a post, I am neither a Trump lover or hater, but a Trump observer. Its unprecedented , and a true phenomena . As a little kid, I grew up on professional wrestling and was beyond shocked as the ref didn't see the cheating, the deception by the wrestlers and their managers. It was a riot and we couldn't get enough as we screamed at the TV. Trump worked with Vince McMahon from Pro Wrestling and knows the ropes. This is why he is shocking and chooses to be a liar and unpredictable. Its an act !! And thru it, there just might be a trojan horse of truth for us all. Because the rest of it, these 2 parties, are a more deceptive act as well. TRUMP SLAPS VINCE MCMAHON! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfuPTEKlaC4

Bill, can you give me some examples of "psychopathic" opposition you foresee if Trump is re-elected? The last three years of this clown has been pretty grim. I used envy Americans and the US when I was young. Since the 80's it's been in decline in my opinion and this administration in particular has lowered the bar to dirt level.

Ok, let's leave politics out of this. You are using a video of James O’Keefe’ to re-enforce your point? You might as well have said I read it in the National Enquirer, This guy was charged with a felony. From Wiki.. "He has selectively edited videos to misrepresent the context of the conversations and the subjects' responses, creating the false impression that people said or did things they did not" "He gained national attention for his deceptively edited video recordings of workers at Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) offices in 2009, his arrest and guilty plea in 2010 for entering the federal office of then-U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) under false pretenses, and the release of misleading videos of conversations with two high-ranking, now former, NPR executives in 2011.
Sorry Bill... that's a fail
Next example please?

I am not a sh#t disturber. Sorry Bill if it comes off that way. My frustration comes from what I think members and viewers of alternative news outlets like this should be more ca-joined with my political views (which are Liberal generally) but it does not appear to be the case. But I'll step out of the thread personally... clashes of US political opinion have done some damage to the Avalon community in the last year, and no-one wins.
Politics was never Avalon's prime purpose. And especially US partisan politics: everyone please remember that the majority of Avalonians are not Americans!

Elizabeth Warren isn't a socialist, but Bernie Sanders is.
There is no evidence that Trump is trying to take down the deep state. The only evidence is that they are trying to take HIM down, and he is hanging on valiantly.
If the "even greater" recession hits before Nov 2020, then Trump will not win re-election.

I'm certainly not saying Prez Trump is the savior of all time, far from it. I thought it was pretty rotten to say things about Philadelphia that it was a disgrace, I really did . But then days later here comes the back story as always , The reason why he said that was that the federal govt had given that city 15 or 16 billion dollars in aid the year before via Elijah Cumming from congress. And the money just evaporated and nothing changed in that city to help the poor or the city. Thats 16,000 million dollars- where did it go?
Were not privy to many back stories why Trump says what he says via our beloved (let me throw up media). He didn't take this job for the money or the fame and used his private jet for quite some time campaigning and paid for it himself. ALL the media were laughing day after day that no way he would get elected. He was a joke on wings. That is until the hard working class of america started taking note, not because its what we want to hear, its what we havn't heard from any previous leaders in a long long time that gravitated this to the top.
I'll never forget that phrase from the last administration in mind " Fundamentally transform America" What the hell was wrong with America to begin with? Baseball, hot dogs or apple pie. Whats wrong with that, why did we need to change. For those 8 years America was banned from saying Merry Christmas and that just pissed people off as it was the one time of the year we can all just take a breather and be thankful and reflect almost like a vacation from society and we were vilified for saying the one thing that brought cheer to many. I think when Trump was at that one rally, I can't remember the city , He had Christmas trees all the way across the stage as a sign America is coming back and its ok to say Merry Christmas again. And now with Hispanic and African american unemployment at its lowest level ever and unemployment at a 50 year low. Trump doesn't need to say anything at all to get my vote, whats happening in america now speaks for itself without any words.

I thought long and hard before participating in this thread because it has the potential to disintegrate into an emergency room full of psychiatric patients with no doctors around. In an effort to make full disclosure my innermost fear is that I would be the most vocal and most severely damaged patient. That said: I thought what the hell.
If all things stay the same then Trump should have a fairly easy time winning a second term. There is not a candidate on the opposing side of the aisle that has the charisma (debateable term but a fitting one) that Trump exhibits. I have never seen a person who connects with so many people. Trump's connection to the people that hate him is probably stronger than it is to the people that support him. The potential for a late entry dark horse candidate is ripe because the democrat field is weak at best.
I think Trump has recently stepped over the line on the Syrian war issue. I think the vast majority of Americans supports Trump's effort to get out of the wars in the middle east. It is the media, career politicians (both sides), military and corporate entities making a killing (pun intended) off the war that are profoundly against the USA getting out of the middle east. This issue is one that could put Trump in peril. Only time will tell.
Russian collusion, the Ukraine call, whistleblowers and even if the impeachment effort is successful it is nothing but background noise. Politicians have yet to understand that the American people are much more tuned in then they think.
If Trump stays healthy and alive and if no other candidate enters the picture Trump will win in 2020.

What's wrong with America? The narrative on this side of the ideological spectrum, which has fully pervaded and metastisized the University, Hollywood, the Media, and has been successfully inculcated into the minds of millions of people, is there is plenty wrong with America. America (hot dogs, baseball, Apple Pie and all) is utterly racist, sexist, and was founded by privileged White Male slave owners oppressing everybody else.
This is utter nonsense, of course, but like anything, there is some degree of truth to any narrative that grows legs, so by spotlighting isolated elements of truth and distorting them into grotesque charlactctures, Hollywood, the University, and the Media readily weaponize and propagandize "the truth" so the well-meaning masses begin to believe.
The modus operandi of radical leftist revolutionaries has always been to raze existing socio-political structures to the ground to replace them with newly-improved authoritarian power structures, dictating decree and policy, all for the greater good. 20th century history shows us this is a very bad idea, to the tune of genocide in the multi-millions....
I'm all for social reform, justice for all, and egalitarian opportunity. But I'll take hot dogs, Baseball, and Apple pie, thank you, over mass genocide. Let's not throw out the baby with the bath water.

I fully echo this analysis. However, I'm a little skeptical the people will have any say over the 2020 election. I am hopeful my judgments are jaded, but it seems to me the PTB were smoking their own dope, so to speak, and truly believed Donald Trump would not win the 2016 election. They were taken off guard and did not ensure their candidate would win by any and all means necessary. They were so confident in the results, they let the election ride. Big mistake. As a result, they have been trying to stage a coup ever since.
If these same powers cannot remove Donald Trump prior to 2020 election, either via impeachment or by assassination, why not just step up efforts to rig the damn election? It shouldn't be that hard to do. They can easily create the necessary smoke screen via the propaganda arm of the State, the MSM, so that none but the hyper aware would be the wiser.
While I'd like to be wrong, I have utterly no confidence in the integrity and honesty of a system designed to deceive, manipulate, and control we plebs....
Fair and honest elections? Really?
In short, Trump may win in a landslide, but being declared the victor is a long shot...

It's actually very simple. There is substance. But not in the way you might suspect. This President is a populist, which means, for all intents and purposes--gasp--he reaches and resonates with millions of so-called "deplorables" who just don't want their way of life ripped out from underneath them. The left would argue their way of life is racist, exclusionary, sexist and requires reform; they would go so far to argue this way of life deserves to be ripped out in a radical fashion from underneath all those who embrace it. But it's more complicated than that. Political/Social transformation can be scary, especially if one doesn't understand the complex socio-political dynamic encroaching one's way of life. Accusations of "racism" and "sexism" are far too simplistic and mostly strawmen accusations and inaccurate. History is rife with examples of genocide, savagery, and the decimation of culture in a predatorial way whenever "social transformation" is on the table. The people may not intellectually understand this, but they do understand it. And they will fight to defend themselves.
This demographic also understands they are being culled, which resonates to the core. They understand--or believe--their guy is fighting in a battle for their very survival.
The leftist agenda entails dismantling American sociopolitical institutions (we can debate whether these institutions require reform--undoubtedly they do), which is an existential threat to the idea of freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness--all deeply rooted American ideals. So here you have a shoot-from-the hip populist who speaks the language of the people and vows to not only protect, but to restore the idea of freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Donald Trump is Andrew Jackson 2.0. He may not have "substance" to your way of thinking, but "believe me" (sorry I couldn't resist), he's most certainly reaching the masses.

Ad hominums are easy and cheap. But that is okay, because I too am a clown. So I therefore resonate with 45. Why? Because sometimes I play the fool to fool the fools who think they're fooling me. But I do enjoy laughing, whether at myself or others. With or at makes no difference. Life is too short. I also know what it is like to be lied about and blamed for things that have little or nothing to do with me. I have learned to be a 'long ball hitter'.
I do also like Jordan Peterson. His message of be careful who you share your failures with and especially your successes with really got my ear. People hate you for having the guts to say or do what they never could or would. Really it's that they hate themselves and you make them look bad.
In the world of U.S politics, who has been made a fool of every single time someone tried to make a fool of the POTUS since and even before election night 2016? Yes, even Stormy Daniels who has been told to pay $250,000 to 45 for his legal expenses. When they put the famous Trump recording all over MSM his popularity went up! Backfire after backfire.
It is a really good tactic to let your opposition talk and talk and talk. They already look stupid before they open their mouths. But they then do and remove all doubt. It has been hilarious! We now have Boris in the UK and Scott Morrison in Aussie. All have a good sense of humour, therefore come across as authentic human beings. And we like that. We don't want NWO yes men and script kiddies. We want people who ROCK!!!
Even the Ukraine elected a comedian. Exposing corruption has never been so entertaining. While the projection of themselves onto others is spell breaking for more and more people every single day. The meme smiths are working overtime. If you beat 'em ban 'em. But banning Carpe Donktem was a bit too obvious so they put his twitter back up. For now. They'll ban him again nearer election time.
But flogging a dead horse/donkey/mule has never worked before. Pocahontas against Orange Man Bad already has me in stitches:ROFL:

There is no evidence that Trump is trying to take down the deep state. The only evidence is that they are trying to take HIM down, and he is hanging on valiantly.
If the "even greater" recession hits before Nov 2020, then Trump will not win re-election.
If Trump is not trying to take down the Deep State--but they are trying to take down him--what, in your estimation is Trump trying to do? And why is the Deep State hell-bent on taking him down?

im not sure how they curtailed the voting fraud in 2016 enough to get him elected in the first place. If they are once again able to do that I see trump wining in a 60/40 type Reagan over Mondale type landslide.

Again, it baffles me that if the pres says it's ok to say Merry Christmas again it's your threshold for devotion. Baffling. There is no substance with this guy.
Just pablum. Can someone throw me a bone?

The only current candidate on the Dem side that I find interesting is Tulsi Gabbard.
But the MSM and DNC powers that be are ensuring she never gets any traction, so they won't have to obviously sabotage her later like they did Bernie last time.
The CNN whistleblower yesterday reaffirmed that point of view, at least from their platform.
The War industry is so powerful in Washington.

They are probably trying to take him down because he was not approved, is not in their script, has not agreed to their script, etc. I suspect the powers that be have a very tight timeline and script for everything, such as when to allow free energy, etc. And they are running behind. Don't forget, Hillary was hell-bent on starting a war with Russia over Ukraine. That was in the script. Now the deep state is in deep sh*t because they didn't get that done, and they have "people" to answer to.

When Patrick Buchanan won the New Hampshire primary back in the 90s, we only had CNN. He won another state, maybe S Carolina. Everyone was watching Arizona where he was expected to win and would then be unstoppable. But when the results were coming in, CNN cut away for a 2-hour interview with George Bush Sr, about nothing at all, really. Afterwards, it was announced that, due to absentee ballots, Forbes Jr. had won. So yes, they can rig an election.

The very same thing happened in the 2012 New Hampshire primary with Ron Paul. (https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByJAC-sfXwumZzI2bVlON2VTMnFyYVZZSnpDYnNyQQ/edit?pli=1) They weren't even going to let him win one state. And then in the Iowa Caucus, which is much harder to rig, Romney somehow won the caucus (https://jaretglenn.wordpress.com/2012/07/31/how-the-republican-party-stole-the-nomination-from-ron-paul/) by a "secret" vote count proctored by pro-Romney establishment Republicans.
Had Paul won those two states he could have easily won the nomination.

mountain Jim/ yes agreed on Tulsi Gabbard. They just don't want her to get traction , she's sane, level headed and not a pushover.
And what happened to Bernie last time around? Well what happened to Seth Rich? Has anyone ever gotten to the bottom of that? And no, it was not a random robbery , where btw, they decided not to rob anything. That was someones handy work, wonder who?
Its why I didn't vote last election for the first time in my adult life. I would never consider Clinton. So when Trump won, I smiled.
And probably will happen again.

Incidentally, for all the Trump-haters out there, it is exactly these kind of shenanigans (https://jaretglenn.wordpress.com/2012/07/31/how-the-republican-party-stole-the-nomination-from-ron-paul/) that produced a candidate (and now President) like Donald J. Trump. The people are sick of it. The same applies to Boris Johnson, Volodymyr Zelensky, etc., etc. The power elite are in complete denial about the consequences of the world they created.
Trump et. al aren't polarizing their countries; they are merely symptoms of an egregiously corrupt and unaccountable status quo.

I think that elections can and have been rigged. There are definitely some differences in how this is accomplished. In the primary elections, it is mostly done by the media. They feel that it is their right to choose the candidate that will run in the general election. The media believes they are far superior to their democratic base of voters and they arrogantly think they will select the best candidate. They obviously did this in 2016 with Bernie Sanders and they are doing it again for the 2020 primary. Just yesterday the Times and CNN came out with a hit piece on Tulsi Gabbard calling her a Russian political operative. They are honing in on Elizabeth Warren and a VP. Once their selections have been finalized we will start to see intermittent hit pieces to take out the rest of the field. It is as clear as day but you have to be paying attention.
In the general election, it is rigged by the system and it is much more sinister. Recently we watched California pass a law that all but ensured that Democrats won in Republican strongholds, like San Diego through ballot harvesting (most). We watched (without complaint or legal ramification) the democratic national committee turn over the money and the keys of the kingdom to Hillary Clinton in 2016. The DNC paid for the fake Russian Dossier (https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/clinton-campaign-dnc-paid-for-research-that-led-to-russia-dossier/2017/10/24/226fabf0-b8e4-11e7-a908-a3470754bbb9_story.html) on Trump which was given to friendly FBI senior officials which became the genesis for the two year Mueller investigation. We have watched corrupt county officials in swing states hide votes (https://www.forbes.com/sites/rickungar/2012/09/26/obama-accused-of-suppressing-military-vote-by-withholding-absentee-ballots/#49f99e5e645d), unleash absentee ballots at the last second (https://www.forbes.com/sites/rickungar/2012/09/26/obama-accused-of-suppressing-military-vote-by-withholding-absentee-ballots/#49f99e5e645d) and not count military votes, attempt to restore voting rights to prisoners (http://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/felon-voting-rights.aspx) that committed felonies, fight against showing voter IDs, flood certain precincts with non-citizen voters (https://www.fairus.org/issue/societal-impact/noncitizens-voting-violations-and-us-elections), vehemently fight to keep dead voters registered (https://www.npr.org/2012/02/14/146827471/study-1-8-million-dead-people-still-registered-to-vote) to vote. The list just goes on and on.
Given the fact that the election is spread out over 50 states with thousands of counties it is extremely hard if not impossible to rig the election from top to bottom. That said a close election can easily be rigged with strategic manipulation in key geographical areas of the country.

Tulsi,s comments in above video too well formed and over the head of most regarding these wars. She, along with Trump want an end to all these wars . Ending wars is not a pretty job where you pick up your war toys and go home. Many will be caught in the exodus as we saw in Viet Nam. But they have to end somehow!
Ask yourself if your son or daughter should be deployed to this region of the world to help stop these endless wars ? If you can truly say yes, its worth your sons life, then good on ya and vote accordingly.

Good for Tulsi Gabbard. She doesn't appear to be dangling on the strings of her corporate overlords. Unfortunately for her that means she has a 0% chance at winning her party's nomination.
These wars are absolutely ridiculous. It blows my mind how the left has taken a complete 180 on this issue. They used to be the reasonable party regarding foreign entanglements and foreign wars. Apparently that was all just disingenous opposition rhetoric.
I have a proposal. If the globalist corporate oligarchs need to protect or advance their interests, and need to do so by force or require regime change or install puppet governments friendly to their agendas, I say hire their own mercenaries to fight their battles, funded from their own balance sheets' bottom lines (let's see how that goes over with their shareholders)... problem is, then we're talking murder and organized crime, which as a general rule ordinary people (and to a lesser degree) corporations cannot get away with, but what is essentially the accepted modus operandi of the State.
We need to just...say...no.

pronouns day? well Im an aging male, but burdened with the gene of creativity all my life. the best way for me to explain and express this genetic difference from most others is to call myself "the painter doug "
you see, I need to make things. things that pile up , things that prevent me from earning a proper dollar value for my time and effort, and this hardship costs me the enjoyment of relationships the way normal people get to enjoy
Add to this burden, Im returning to being again a musician and song writer. And neither of these afflictions are accepted or respected by my family and my peers.
example/ so doug, what do you do? Well, I'm a painter/ musician. So how long have you been without a job? see? I'm offended.
