The trailer for The Phenomenon, the new documentary by James Fox has just been released. The documentary will be released in theaters in the US in September (according to the video description)
In the trailer there's some focus on the Zimbabwe incident, with also Roswell and the Tic Tac case getting screen time. Christopher Mellon, Edgar Mitchell and Jesse Marcel are among the people that can be seen interviewed in the trailer.
What I really like is that it seems to be telling 'the whole story', including the cover-up and secrecy, instead of pretending like it's a new phenomenon that is just now being discovered.

Global indie distributor 1091 Media, formerly known as The Orchard Film Group, has acquired the North American theatrical and digital rights to James Fox’s feature-length UFO documentary The Phenomenon.
Narrated by Peter Coyote, the film will meld together unseen archive footage with interviews with key eyewitnesses, experts and officials to investigate whether or not we are alone in this universe and what extraterrestrials are attempting to communicate.

Featured interviews in the film include Harry Reid, former Senate Majority Leader; John Podesta, President Clinton’s White House Chief of Staff and advisor to President Obama; Christopher Mellon, former Deputy Undersecretary for Defense Intelligence; Bill Richardson, former U.S. Energy Secretary and New Mexico Governor; and scientist Jacques Vallee.
1091 Media will release The Phenomenon in theaters nationwide in June 2020, followed by a digital release in September 2020.
The Phenomenon was written by Fox and award-winning author and filmmaker Marc Barasch.
“Twenty-five years into investigating unidentified aerial phenomena, I’m faced with the unavoidable fact they’re real, they’re global, and we’re potentially dealing with a form of consciousness that shares our world and impacts our lives in powerful ways,” said Fox in a statement. “Our team has assembled the most compelling testimony and evidence from around the world that will lead even the most ardent skeptics to the inescapable conclusion that we are not alone.”
“This film explores not only the reality of UFOs, but their challenge to our preconceptions about reality, our collective life on this planet, and really, our place in the cosmos,” added Barasch. “The public’s growing realization of the UFO presence—lately ratified by the U.S. Navy on the front page of The New York Times—amounts to a new Copernican Revolution. We hope our film will have a provocative cultural impact, framing a new understanding, and catalyzing fresh ways of looking not only at The Phenomenon, but at ourselves and the ever-evolving future of humanity.”

No idea, but I seriously doubt it will play in major movie theaters in our country. I'm sure we will be able to watch it once it's released digitally.
