To me it sounds like the usual crap, or maybe I am getting too old to learn anything
anymore.

Certainly looks low-budget... Came out in 2006. Where can it be seen? Netflix? Amazon?

The movie is not as good as the book......but it is most times like this. Hard to squeeze and shorten a book in a 1 or 2 hour movie. But this one came out nice.

I did learn some things out of it. It is very interesting and faszinating...at least it was for me. I read the book many years ago already. The music which came with the DVD is very nice also..... It is a lot about how everything is connected and has reasons to happen, about on how to see someones aura and about spirituality aso. Only the end of the movie was not really my thing.....

You might should not judge to quickly if you did not read the book yet. I think there are some parts of the movie on youtube for those interested in this .....you can check it out there.....:waving:

It is one of the best books I ever read. It's a huge difference between the movie and the book. Thank God that I saw the movie after reading the book otherwise I've never read it (big loss).

It is still there. Radonix made a typo; left out the ending parenthesis in his original link. Here is the working link:

Thanks, onevoice. https://i.imgur.com/bKNyAO6.gif I downloaded the movie from iTunes years ago. I'm in agreement with toppy (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?109839-The-Celestine-Prophecy--the-film-&p=1334179&viewfull=1#post1334179), the book was much better than the movie. I also read James Redfield books (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=James+Redfield&ref=nb_sb_noss) that followed. The first was the best.

It matters not which is better, book or film. The message is what is important, we are more than we can imagine. Unfortunately, deliberately dumbed down, so we will never fully understand our true potential.

I met James Redfield at a book store in Northhampton Mass years ago. A friend of mine recommended the book. Redfield was giving a talk promoting it. He was a "nice southern gentleman". Someone in the crowd asked him a question about his having his own experiences such as he wrote about in his book. If I recall it had to do with the character's disappearing and reappearing. He paused and hesitated to answer, so I piped up "Just tell the truth". (Not sure what made me do that, I was sitting in the front row ) He then quietly answered with a "Yes, BUT, there isn't anyone in this room who hasn't done this, you just weren't conscious of doing it." I don't think he wanted to answer that question. Anyway, I liked the man, I liked his book and I liked his answer.

I read the book when it first came out, and enjoyed it. I just watched the movie, all this time later, and I enjoyed it. The main message, that everything is energy and that we steal it from each other, comes through in both. When you look at energy patterns and flows, it almost seems that our everyday reality is just camouflage for the energetic reality. That's probably something Bigfoot knows better than us.

It is also about how to build up energy in yourself (without stealing it from others) and how much can be reached if we give and share energy together. It is true today to many people are used to steal energy from others. But it is possible to learn on how to build up energy within yourself. It is a learning process....... Also you can learn on how to protect yourself from energy vampires...(not in this book or movie....) There are other books about this.

Redfield had a lot to do with the production of the movie from what I've read. He was very involved and you can tell when you watch the movie. This is one of those situations where the movie is accurate when it comes to reflecting the book, but time limitations required a condensation of the storyline. Scanner's exhortation regarding messaging is on point. It's rare for an author to really be that deeply involved in movie production, so when it happens, it is always positive because the message will be consistent. I recommend the book to folks primarily for the treatment of synchronicities, but I don't hesitate to recommend the movie for folks who aren't into reading, just so they get the general gist.
