What will the future be like in the year 2050? A mere three decades away, most of us hope to still be around. So, what kind of future are we riding into? ENDGAME 2050 gives us a glimpse into that future, and it does not look good. Humanity has backed itself into an ecological endgame as we approach mid-century. Featuring musician Moby along with leading scientists, ENDGAME 2050 lays out the reality that, unless we act urgently now, we are hastening our own destruction.
--

I was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico. I attended medical school there and, as a student, my dream was to help people as a doctor. I devoted a full decade of my life for medical training in that pursuit. Over time, however, my perspective changed on what I believe is most urgent.

I have come to understand that humans - myself included - are literally destroying the planet on which we live. Humanity is not only making the planet uninhabitable for human civilization, but also for countless other species with whom we share this world. I believe this is a crime like no other and feels a deep sense of concern, in particular, for all the other animals who are being decimated by human activities.

I made ENDGAME 2050 because I want people to wake up to the gravity of the situation before it’s too late.

I think many environmental films sugarcoat our reality and the extent of changes needed. They sometimes don’t want to make people too uncomfortable. But I think that does a grave disservice to the audience and the planet. I wanted this film to clearly lay out the dire situation in which we now find ourselves, and the responsibility for these global problems that we all bear. I think we owe it to the planet, other species, and ourselves to not bury our heads in the sand.

Dear Chris, related to short period of time the documentary could be right from its point of view.Even below documentary (already posted on "Srurfing with Wind") could be right,
TIMELAPSE OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE
(10:49 min.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBikbn5XJhg

but I'll assure you that things will be different this time. There will be no gloom and doom as before, but every human will have a connection with the "light" that now is surrounding our planet. It's like this presentation compared with TIMELAPSE OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE

The Real Crisis in Cosmology - The Big Bang Never Happened
(37:13 min.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KkhRibBllU&t=949s

This time, things are pushed forward, not backward as before.Simply let the things flow.

Seems like there is a huge awakening in basically all areas of study, the "helium problem" explained in this video is a very important understand that will debunk completely the theory of big bang, this discussion is around since 2005 as far as I know and some physicists are taking the matter beyond now, great video, thank you very much for sharing it, just downloaded, I am not sure how many people are really caring about this issues, but it goes absolutely in the opposite direction of what mainstream education had taught us.

Thank you very much palehorse for your very interesting reply and I want to add a pinch of salt to our discussion:it's very sad that almost all scientists reject what's obvious, but telling the truth have degradable consequences like loosing friends and what is a human without friends?:)It's hard to find new friends even if someone is offering a sincere friendship. No?I'm sure you understand what I mean with friends :)

On the other hand, you are right when you say that "I am not sure how many people are really caring about this issues",but a lot of people are starting to wake up discovering other interesting things and trying and some are really struggle to get out of the system. So,there is still hope and I could add BIG hope.

Interesting things are awaiting now in front of us even if we want or not. It's a simple fact.:)

Ramana Maharshi the respected enlightened sage said
Neither creation or dissolution.

So the big bang did not happen.
Eternal without beginning or end -- timeless.
If you take it from the Bible "God" became everything without diminishing Self.
If you look at some other religions, its cyclic The out breath and the in breath of "God"
So all comes into being and returns to Source and then comes forth again.
But not a big bang as projected by science.
Some Scientists are saying that time does not exist --its a creation of the mind -- dont know if any of this post is true.
May be so.

As long as one is trapped in constrains, prejudices and dogmas,is hard to see beyond horizon.
God is only a cobble stone in the pavement of a very wide and long street called matrix.

Depends how far you want to go EFO.
God is a convenient word to label that which can not be described.
Non duality, Advaita Vedanta comes closest to what is believable to me.
Thats One without a second -- I am That.
Nasargadatta Maharajh said all concepts belief systems must go -- basically you are what you are searching for.
You are the totality all of it -- that takes some believing.

Ps Matrix is not far removed from the truth.
This world is an illusion -- not what it seems to be --literalily all is of the one substratum

May be so

I do understand what you mean by "friends", my own experience in life has been a wild ride, few friends but good ones.
When somehow anyone try to push the truth out, that's what happen to them, they are persecuted and diminished by the ones in power of control, this is no news, but I admire very much when I see a person putting lots of effort to shine the light of truth, these people are our true hero and they deserve lots of respect.

For what I was reading about Dr. Eric (in this video), he works with a team of other researches and they are all working very hard in fusion energy and others very sensitive subjects.
How many true scientist has to die before energy became free available for everyone (maybe never), Tesla tried hard and got a very sad end, others like Eugene Mallove probably murdered by the system.

All of them had very little or no friends at all, to pursue the holy grail of any science, the price is very steep and sometimes it cost their own life.

Yes, there is big hope specially now, to get out of the system, one has to give up everything that makes up ones reality and "reborn" (change their way of perceiving things around).

One interesting thing: I have been asking relatives, ex-colleagues, friends, friends of friends, and basically everyone I know personally, if they will or have the desire to go off-grid one day, their answers were mostly on these lines >> "these stuffs is for nut people only" << :haha: when I asked them about it, for some guys it seems like hurt their brains to even think for a minute about the issue, some said "God is in control, bla bla bla", a lot of people in my perception are comfortable with their lives and they would never change it for anything does not matter what, but yes in my tiny research about "going off-grid", there were 2 persons that would do that right now if they could.

I do not know about other religions, but in Buddhism there is no recognition of a single beginning to the universe, Buddhist believe in dependent origination where all phenomena arise in dependence on other phenomena, no primal unmoved mover could be acknowledged or discerned by Buddha himself, at least there is no register of such a thing in the Tripitaka scriptures.

In a way while the language and definition is diferent its not far removed from what Self Realized non-duality sages say.
That is -- there is no separation- no independent entity--no subject and object-- all of the one substratum.
All pervasive -- without limitation -- omni present.
