Watergate, the Truth, Finally

Last night's Coast interview with Deep Throat's lawyer, John O'Connor, explains what was really going on in Watergate. The CIA had been using a call girl service and the Democratic National Committee to run a blackmail operation on important people in government. They'd been doing this illegally for years. But when they got their agent, Howard Hunt, into Nixon's White House, that gave them some legal cover of "national security" in the event they were found out. That's what was being covered up by the Washington Post's CIA asset Bob Woodward. Howard Hunt had planned to use a CIA defence at trial, and his wife had the supporting materials when her plane went down.
