View Full Version : Really bizarre things are happening all over the globe

I think this may deserve its own discussion thread. The title is taken from this article by Michael Snyder, published yesterday.

http://endoftheamericandream.com/archives/really-bizarre-things-are-happening-all-over-the-globe

~~~
Just when you think that 2020 has been filled with enough trouble, even more stuff starts happening. Coming into this week, we were already dealing with a new COVID-19 surge which has pushed the number of daily cases to the highest levels we have seen so far, a global economy which is in the process of imploding all around us, massive civil unrest in U.S. cities from coast to coast, and giant swarms of locusts that are wiping out farms all the way from eastern Africa to parts of India. Unfortunately, now we have several more items to add to our growing list.
Let’s start by talking about an alarming new outbreak of locusts. The following comes from a British news source (https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/astonishing-huge-swarm-locusts-sweeps-22220756)…
Dramatic footage captures an “astonishing” swarm of locusts swarm through farmland and destroy crops.
The short-horned grasshoppers are capable of devouring the same amount of crops as 2,500 people would each day.
Some of you may have just read that paragraph and come to the conclusion that this is “old news”.
After all, we have been hearing about the colossal armies of locusts in Africa for months, and I have published numerous articles about that unprecedented plague.
But the news story that I just quoted wasn’t talking about those locusts. Instead, that report was about a brand new infestation that has erupted in Argentina, and one local official is saying that he has never seen anything like it (https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/astonishing-huge-swarm-locusts-sweeps-22220756) ever before.
Just like on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, these little critters are voraciously gobbling up everything in sight, and countless farms are being destroyed.
Now these swarms are heading for Brazil, and Brazilian officials are definitely extremely alarmed. One of my readers in Brazil sent me an article about this emerging crisis from a Brazilian news source (https://g1.globo.com/economia/agronegocios/noticia/2020/06/23/nuvem-de-gafanhotos-chega-a-argentina-e-se-aproxima-do-brasil.ghtml), and the following is a quote from that article which has been translated into English…
In approximately one square kilometer they can have up to 40 million insects, which in one day consume pastures equivalent to what 2,000 cows or 350,000 people eat, Argentine agronomist Héctor Medina told Reuters.
What would you do if 40 million locusts suddenly descended on your farm?
Of course the truth is that there would be very little that you could do that would make any sort of a difference. Just like so many other farmers around the globe, you would simply watch as all of your hard work is completely wiped out.
Meanwhile, an absolutely gigantic plume of dust from Africa has crossed the Atlantic Ocean and is about to hit the United States. The following comes from CBS News (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/saharan-dust-plume-gorilla-dust-cloud-drifting-united-states/)…
A massive plume of dust from the Sahara desert in northern Africa has been traversing the atmosphere, thousands of feet above the tropical Atlantic Ocean, and is now cloaking the Caribbean and closing in on the southeastern United States.
Every once in a while a dust plume from Africa can cross the ocean like this, but the monstrous one that we are witnessing right now is truly unusual.
In fact, one expert says that this is “the most significant event in the past 50 years” (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/saharan-dust-plume-gorilla-dust-cloud-drifting-united-states/)…
“This is the most significant event in the past 50 years. Conditions are dangerous in many Caribbean islands,” Pablo Méndez Lázaro, from the University of Puerto Rico’s School of Public Health, told the Associated Press.
As this plume travels across the U.S., air quality in some areas will drop precipitously. Some of the dust has already arrived, but a “thicker layer” is projected to starting hitting Texas on Friday (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/saharan-dust-plume-the-skies-are-dark-in-the-caribbean-and-the-historic-dust-plume-will-soon-stretch-into-the-us/ar-BB15SRc5)…
On Wednesday, the dust is forecast to move across the Gulf of Mexico toward Texas.
Thursday morning, people in places like Brownsville in Texas and Houston will likely wake up to a beautiful sunrise and a hazier than normal sky.
Forecast models show the thicker concentration blanketing most of Central America and Mexico Thursday.
This thicker layer is likely to reach Texas by Friday and then take a turn to the east. If the forecast model is right, it will move over most of the Southeast and MidAtlantic states over the weekend.
On top of everything else, the west coast is starting to shake in a major way once again. On Wednesday, southern California was struck by a magnitude 5.8 earthquake (https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1300547/california-earthquake-latest-update-usgs-magnitude-damage-big-one-us-ring-of-fire)…
California residents received an emergency alert on their phones which read: “Earthquake! Expect shaking. Drop, Cover, Hold On. Protect yourself now. – USGS ShakeAlert”. The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake struck 17km south-southeast of Lone Pine. The tremor originated at a depth of 2.9km, with an epicenter around 17 kilometers south-east of Lone Pine.
According to a USGS interactive shake map the impact of the earthquake could be felt in the Death Valley National Park.
The earthquake has since been downgraded to 5.8 magnitude.
That quake was followed by numerous sizable aftershocks, including one that was measured to be magnitude 4.6.
Overall, there have been 2,267 earthquakes (https://scedc.caltech.edu/recent/) in California and Nevada over the last 7 days, and that is definitely alarming.
Farther south along “the Ring of Fire”, Mexico was hit by a magnitude 7.4 earthquake on Tuesday (https://www.npr.org/2020/06/23/882626562/deadly-earthquake-rattles-southern-mexico)…
A powerful earthquake struck Mexico’s southern Oaxaca region on Tuesday, killing at least five people and shaking buildings hundreds of miles away.
The 7.4-magnitude quake struck mid-morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Its epicenter was off the Pacific coast about seven miles southwest of Santa María Zapotitlán, near the beach resort of Huatulco.
Very large seismic events are happening so frequently now that they barely make a blip on the news these days, and that is unfortunate because people need to wake up and understand that our planet is becoming increasingly unstable.
Here in the United States, scientists have been strongly warning us for years that we are way overdue for “the Big One” to hit California, and this is one of the things that I will be addressing in the new book that I am currently working on.
At some point there will be no more sand in the hourglass, and an unprecedented disaster will strike the west coast. Let us pray that we still have quite a bit more time before that happens.
But nothing can stop the inexorable march of time, and the deeper we get into 2020 the crazier it gets.
Unfortunately, the truth is that this “perfect storm” is just getting started, and that means that what we have experienced up to this point is just the tip of the iceberg.
what we have experienced up to this point is just the tip of the iceberg.
Speaking of icebergs, let's not forget that we have 38 degrees Celsius (100.4 degrees Fahrenheit) in the Arctic Circle (https://www.foxnews.com/world/the-arctic-is-on-fire-siberian-heat-wave-alarms-scientists). This could also have huge effects on planet earth with (1) melting ice caps in the Arctic Sea and Greenland and (2) massive methane releases from the tundra, especially in Siberia, where the heat wave is focused.
Looks like we entered the accelerated evolution phase for good. No more "slow shift". The more pressure we feel, the more conscious we become.
Gregg Braden pointed out some years back that quite a few potential end of!!! scenarios were all coming to fruition.
Hopefully he is wrong.
The human race has survived countless near extinction events in the past and will so again.
Life is cyclic.
Sooner or later we all exit the body -- death is not to be feared, its a natural event -- no matter how it happens
Of course I would like to drift away in my sleep and thats what I would wish for everyone when the time eventually comes.
Meanwhile there is a lot to be excited about.
I have no doubt collective consciousness is rising.
It's the financial tsunami that's looming offshore that has my attention. It is heading toward landfall at quite a speed, but still in deep water. I think it is only going to be a few short weeks before it hits the shallows and rears-up, with the potential to be the biggest financial tsunami in living memory.
The no.1 driver of the relaxing of the Covid-19 restrictions is not health, it is economic......... It's an "Oh sh*t" moment for the government, they've got the binoculars, they can see what's coming. Almost every day this week, the media doom-and-gloom headlines are:
The airline industry was one of the first to be hit, and hit hard, with:
Heathrow Airport - Shedding at least 500 UK jobs.
Swissport UK (airport ground staff) has gone into administration this week, 4500 UK jobs to be lost. Parent company, Swissport International AG, has called in help to try and manage it's $1.6 Billion debt.
British Airways - 12,000 jobs gone or going.
Easyjet - 4,500 UK job losses, 30% of its workforce.
Virgin Atlantic - At least 3,000 UK jobs to go.
Ryanair - 3,000 UK jobs gone.
Bombardier UK (Aircraft manufacturer) - 600 UK job cuts.
Royal Mail is making 2,000 staff redundant, initially, after 2nd quarter profits fell 30%.
Johnson Matthey (Manufacturing) - 2,500 UK job losses.
HSBC - Cut, or cutting, a massive 35,000 jobs globally.
The UK car industry is set to lose 1-in-6 jobs due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
Rolls Royce - Cutting 9,000 jobs, of which 3,000 will be in the UK.
Bentley - 1,000 jobs cut, nearly 25% of its UK work force.
Jaguar/Land Rover - To cut 1,100 jobs from its UK factories.
Aston Martin - 500 UK jobs gone.
Another sector that has taken a hard hit, is the energy sector. The main players in the UK market are reporting:
BP - The oil giant plans to make 10,000 people redundant across the globe, including an estimated 2,000 UK job cuts. It comes after the coronavirus dramatically reduced global demand for oil.
Centrica (owner of British Gas) - 5,000 UK jobs to go, at least. Could announce further job losses.
Ovo Energy - The UK’s second largest energy supplier is planning to cut 2,600 jobs following its merger with SSE.
And on the high street, things are looking pretty dismal:
The Restaurant Group - At least 1,500 UK job cuts.
Clarks Shoes - 900 UK jobs gone.
Oasis & Warehouse - 1,800 jobs gone.
Mulberry - 470 UK job cuts.
Travis Perkins - 2,500 UK jobs lost.
With 2nd quarter rents, loan repayments, wage-roll, rates, insurance, etc, etc becoming due in 5 days time, I expect quite a few more horror stories coming from the commercial world in the next couple of weeks.
The prospect of a large amount of people without jobs, in this current climate, does not bode well. I expect that the Usual Suspects' will take full advantage of the situation and do all that they can to foment yet more madness. I've had enough of 2020 already, and we're barely half way through. I just hope we can make it all of the way, fairly intact and compos mentis.
For all of the car manufacturers and others that have been going almost totally automated (robotic) in their
process, wouldn't this be like a wet dream for them? A perfect excuse to get rid of redundant employees?
Hi Bill and all.
Just finished watching a well made Turkish drama over on Netflix.
To do with 'Protector' bloodlines trying to kill 'Immortal's'
Not as cheesy as it might at first sound (overall quite captivating, and feel for the characters. Well dubbed)
Well I'm mentioning it in this OP because in 'series 2' the immortals try to reanimate biblical Locust and the plague they contained.
Series 4 on the way.
My mom keeps telling me shes getting dizzy at times and dad too a bit, they are in their 80's but I think its due to the earth magnetic s and wobble, I get once ad a while too. I'm about 35 miles from where that dam burst here in Michigan about 6 weeks ago, my bro in laws house on the river was 1 block down from the dam, we received 7 inches of rain in 48 hours, When the first dam blew the water raised up 7 feet flooding everything along the banks including my bro in laws house, 7 hours later the next dam blew and the river that was 1/3 of a mile wide drained to 100ft. No more waterfront. When your standing on the dock looking north and south its just a powerful picture of a river all gone. And an FYI, nobody could get flood insurance because the govnt said this wasn't a flood plain . People who have mortgages on there house now have no more waterfront and a water sogged house. I suspect many will walk away from their house. Many homes were in the 2-300 thousand range
Can some data trawling acanerd confirm for me that a plague of locusts is actually unusual ?
Have there been the same swarms every year somewhere in the world ? if not, where have the eggs or whatever been hiding and for how long ?
If it's something that's popped up from nowhere, shouldn't we be seriously asking who's behind it ?
Can some data trawling acanerd confirm for me that a plague of locusts is actually unusual ?
From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Locust#Recent_times (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Locust#Recent_times:):
~~~

During the last two millennia, locust plagues continued to appear at irregular intervals with the main recorded outbreaks of the desert and migratory locusts occurring in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Other species of locusts caused havoc in North and South America, Asia, and Australasia; 173 outbreaks over a period of 1924 years have been recorded in China.

The Bombay locust (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nomadacris_succincta) was a major pest in India and southeastern Asia in the 18th and 19th centuries, but has seldom swarmed since the last plague in 1908.

In the spring of 1747 locusts arrived outside Damascus eating the majority of the crops and vegetation of the surrounding countryside. One local barber, Ahmad al-Budayri, recalled the locusts "came like a black cloud. They covered everything: the trees and the crops. May God Almighty save us!"

The most bizarre thing that is happening right now, are people's behavior not seeing or not believing that this entire life is a manipulation, in simple words it is a game of lies, a big lie. I truly hope that people wake in time to boycott the entire thing and start to live their life without depending on their government for everything, because you all know they give a **** about people, being more sustainable with less dependence.

The very first thing is letting go about the ego, the rest will just come naturally.

It start happening decades before corona event, no doubt about it is going full automated, I have friends in management that lost their jobs for algorithms. edit:

A huge proportion of the food ingredients we rely on come from such places as Argentina and Africa. We shouldn't think we are getting away lucky if the swarms don't reach our own shores.

Food prices could go through the roof.

Well, for what I know it is related to the weather/climate. I just talk with a Brazilian friend via chat, he said in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul the temperature start to drop and start the raining, which is a good thing for the farmers, the locust swarm probably will change direction due to the weather, he also said the estates of Santa Catarina and Parana are in full alert now, between today and tomorrow they are expecting the bugs to arrive.

I feel it too. The conceptualisations going around about it are a pain in the head, but I feel it. I'm kinda ready to go on from this sickness. I say kinda because I'm peeved that my life's work didn't really come to anything.

If I wake up 'dead' tomorrow, I couldn't be happier about it. This program that's running it's course here isn't my kinda thing. Evolution already told us that genetic reductionism is a FAIL. The gang here that's doing that crap are going to fail in the end for that reason, if no other. I hoped the rest of us could f*ck them off and keep humanity moving in a healthy evolutionary direction that the successful species have shown us how to do.

Look around you. Do you see ANY dominant species that's made it all the way to here ? No, not one. Every lifeform here right now got here by being meek and diverse. The big-shot fancy dominators soon ran out of gas. They did it to themselves by creating genetic selectivity within their own species. Dumb f*cks.

I think there's an old saying that goes something like "the meek shall inherit the earth".

A little while ago a guy named Jason Estes sent me a friend request on FB. Since then his updates have been appearing in my feed.
He does these sort of updates which can be quite technical, but they resonate with what I see going on energetically.

Here is my interpretation of what he says is going on right now....

We are all surrounded by infinite reality. But here in this realm we each have a corridor or tunnel in front of our line of vision that defines our experience. This corridor is limited by what we have been taught is our collective reality.

Most people just accept this corridor as reality and focus on reaching socially established milestones within the framework.
However, there have also been seekers...those who try to see beyond the walls of the corridor. Instead of focusing on social carrots that lead down the corridor, they have turned to expand the barriers of their hallways. By shifting their focus they have discovered windows that allow them to glimpse aspects of the wider reality.

However the windows have a mirror quality to them and so they can only see out as accurately as the clarity of their internal world allows.
Those who realize that what they see through the windows... isn't a direct experience of an independent reality, but a reflection of their internal state can use what appears as a means to understand themselves, to heal and to grow. As this process unfolds it refines, ultimately.... until there is a no longer a distortion between what one is and the true nature of the universe. This state of purity might be called enlightenment and has been exceedingly rare.

However, right now according to Jason, we have reached a point where the boundaries of our collective experience of the corridor is changing. The walls have come down. It is no longer an option to simply play within the confines of what many percieve as 'normal' reality. Normal reality no longer exists.

Individually and collectively we are being required to respond to all that the walls of our corridors protected us from seeing. Predictable reaity is no more.... things are going to get increasingly strange and intense as the corridors are flooded, by that which the facade of walls hid from our awareness. The more we can accept what appears in our reality and find ways to respond that brings more alignment with love, instead of responding in fear, the more swiftly we will move through this stage of transformative expansion.

Yes, and it feels like media is salivating over each Armageddon they trot out. No idea how much of all of it is organic, how much is concocted, but for sure it's all weaponized! And to think we actually signed up for it! (I believe). Strangely for me though in most ways my life is better than ever, as is that of my close loved ones. I'm by no stretch of the imagination a fan of the royals; I've seen this video before on 'Strange happenings at BP' and it's been doing the rounds a lot, but it's a non-story.

There is only one seal missing; it was reported (with a picture of the damaged seal) in the Metro last November that a seal on one of BP's gates was hit and damaged by a delivery van.

Many of the royals' office staff work at BP, and like the majority of the country under lockdown, most - if not all - are likely to be working at home. It is very likely that there is only a skeleton staff there and the royals are said to be currently living elsewhere.

I've been round quite a few country houses in the past, and I've noticed that on the side where there is full sun, they put the shades down to protect the antique interior from sun damage. You can see from the video that the front of BP is in full sun.

The Gurkhas have been doing a tour of duty of being palace guards (https://www.forces.net/services/gurkhas/behind-scenes-gurkha-engineers-queens-guard-duties).

Like I say, I'm not defending the royals as I'd love to see them held to account and their obscene wealth handed back to the nation, but logic tells me that there is nothing to this video.

I should have posted a link about the story in the Metro about the damaged seal - I posted that late last night, too tired!

Here it is (https://metro.co.uk/2019/10/02/unicorn-knocked-buckingham-palace-gates-delivery-lorry-10848862/) - the story was from October, not November. It says that it happened at the North Centre Gate, so that tallies with where the guy who shot the video was filming.

This report may well belong on this thread. With Chinese floods already reaching record levels throughout the nation, if the Three Gorges Dam were to collapse, as seems could possibly happen, there would ensue a catastrophe of enormous proportions.

At 2:45 "If the damn collapses, it will impact over 400 million people living downstream." This is also in the world's newest and largest manufacturing bases. Expect that a lot of imported goods and critical parts will not be available for years to come, and affect people around the planet.
