Ben McBrady provides some brief fundamentals as to the Druidic practices. He mentions the disconnect from nature where the fantastic is already in the NOW (my words). This is not understood by society at present, as it has been taken out of the equation in education for a very long time. Manmade controls through artificial mechanisms have been forced on society throughout history. The lost connection with nature has lost its true partnership with its essence. The true partnership can only work when one is in balance. The druids knew how to carry these practices out in balance that served their society. Having knowledge on astronomy, engineering surveying, building practices, medicine, poetry, etc provides a wide range of material that was integrated into their society.
I think the Druids may have possibly descended from the Tuatha De Danaans. The previous civilisation before the Tuatha De Danaans arrived were unaware of the application of sophisticated use of magic. When the Tuatha De Danaan disappeared there were possibly some descendants over time making use of magic. I suspect it may still have been on a macro scale as their ‘ancestors’. The Druids had similar characteristics as their predecessors. Guardians of the forest, the oak trees which were growing throughout Ireland and the use of the coded Ogham language.
The Druidic practices were recorded by the Greek scriptures. There students were sent to Ireland to train in the art of magic and the knowledge of nature. In other words they used the telepathic practices as Mc Brady mentions that nature provided the information for them. The Romans were aware about the magic of the Druids from the Greeks. The Romans had a token settlement on the Irish coast for only trade purposes. The Romans may have been concerned not to invade Ireland due to the power of the Druids. The Romans had learnt a lot from the Druidic practices in Gaul in their previous invasions. However, McBrady does state that the ‘headquarters’, my words, were in the ancient universities in Ireland.
RESPONSIBILITY OF USING ‘POWER’
I’m sure Druids had a responsibility and discipline using there ‘powers’. This is a perception by others knowing these ‘powers’. It would appear to be a what we define as power, but actually it’s there developed education and knowledge provided by of using the university of nature. The partnership with nature provided the potential of supporting not only them as a society but also the Earth as a balanced system. This is the potential to connect with nature by every human being on Earth.
Interestingly enough, Ben McBrady does mention the possible changes in the course of history that the Druids caused. It wouldn’t surprise me that they put into practice there telepathic methods to influence circumstances. Telepathy, being one of the essential abilities a new Druidic apprentice would require in order to be accepted. It’s not surprising that he mentioned it takes 18 years of learning all the skills and knowledge required in order to make there contribution in there society as it was a non-written language of transferring this knowledge.
Their isn’t the education and therefore understanding in our civilisation of how to be aware of balancing this process. Nature knows nothing but balance. Humans may not be balanced when applying initiatives of this nature to changing the dynamics, which can create other manifestations that are ‘out of whack’.
From Ben McBrady’s pessimistic descriptions of the present day with colourful amount of doomsday examples, he is however, optimistic about the future as regards spirituality and the connection with nature. Because nature operates in cycles, similarly, people do wake up at times of when the gradual connections with nature comes about with the realisation that all human beings have come from nature. The disconnection from nature presents a society that unknowingly manifests and reflects the circumstances of its world. This comes around to be aware and awake to the larger reality of life.
