I remember having Golden Brown original by The Stranglers on my cassette player a la Sony Walkman back in the '80s :cool:while doing military service.

Yes it's a wonderful song. and fantastic to hear so many versions. I do like the Stranglers version best. According to wikipedia the song is about heroin and his former girlfriend
