#111 & #11 11: why it keeps showing up so often

A bizarre coincidence happened all through this week (today was no exception). In short, I was bombarded with a set of 111 or 11 11 digits (clock, kilometer counter, speed counter, date…). At beginning I didn’t pay too much importance.

Last Tuesday turned to be exactly 11.1.11. I wasn’t even aware of it (mistakenly I was sure that it was 12.1.11) A colleague made a joke about the present date. As I thought it was 12th I didn’t get the point. Later I received a call from a friend… he informed me about they just have had unexpectedly a newborn and that the baby came on the same day of his birthday, actually 11.1. I suddenly remembered all previous 111/11 11 showing up so often. I felt strange.

Again when driving home I notice several times the number reappeared. It is just coincidence? After that I researched over the internet. I found several interesting stuff about it. For instance:

Just on Uri as I havnt followed him too much. Does any one have any information about his gift - i.e. how he actually does this stuff???? I remember from way back that he had a visit just before he found his abilities. Does he teach his abilities - ie. can anyone do it - I like the thought of bending spoons as a party trick (of course it would wreck the cutlery):cool:

Yes, the figure '1' seems to be all around.

During the 80s, I had the same experience with the figure 23.

Restaurant-Tables, Cinema-Seats - and most often when I woke up at night the digital clock showed 23 minutes. Once on a Sunday morning when the City was still asleep I found many coins in the middle of the street. I don't have to mention what they added up to! :)

At that time, my perception of astral beings hadn't been developed. But yet I always felt a slight shudder every time this figure appeared.

My interpretation:

I had the impression that some astral forces were trying to communicate to me. Every time when I saw the figure 23 it felt like an "Invitation" to make it mean something - and to slowly become dependent.

I always refused to be dependent (in any situation!), so I ignored the signs.

They really tried to take me on their hook. The phenomena persisted for 3 or 4 years. Then it was over.

i dont know how to even start...this phenomana is very familiar to me.i got a wake up call with those numbers on january 2006,this is how it all started for me.i was waken up almost every night at exactly round hour 02:00,04:00 etc.but it did not stay there... i am about to write a post on the subject.i think its important and can not be ignored.there are thousand and thousands of people who are getting those numbers.
sepia,i can very much identify with your unwillingness to become dependent.i am very much like that as well.but there is more to the story...much more i would say.

about Uri geller: all i can say is that everyone can have those gifts,the question is what you do with them and how you operate them.
i feel he is/was not using them for the best of all and he admitted it himself.

I was in touch with Uri in the late 90s and he is genuine. He teaches what he can do, and, as far as I remember, believes we are all able to do what he does.

Interesting interpretation I must say. I appreciate it.

Normally I would be very skeptical about the matter. However, everything shifted after my Out of Body Experience. Now I know there is more to the story. My belief system changed dramatically.

Still a lot to be learned, unfortunately all by my self. Not that many individuals are familiar with the matter.

I receive a lot of 'help' so to speak, from other planes. Not only in terms of spiritual development but also in daily life (work, business, learning, personal relationships... you name it). I think this is main reason I am successful.

Nevertheless, number messages don't fit in my picture of understanding. So fore I didn’t pay much attention at first. Although I realize there is more than just coincidence.

Why do you think astral forces are doing that? Why you felt obsessed?

Witchy, You should research SRI-Stanford Research Institute and the early works of Hal Puthoff and Russell Targ. Uri Geller was one of their first research subjects whom demonstrated such extraordinary abilities, it sparked the interest of the CIA who continued to fund SRI for years following the Geller experiments.

I get calls, text messages and such very often at the time 11:11 and 23:23. Sometimes the numbers 666.
Its for real, just don´t know what it means. This thing came to me without my knowledge about this worldwide phenomena. It has manifested itself to me in a way that theres no doubt whatsoever that this is an extraordinary event each time.

You may say this is co-incidental and i don’t think i am one of Lucifer’s little helpers (joke) but 6.66 keeps coming up with me. I first noticed that my last 3 numbers on my account are 666 not only that 3 times in the last 6 months i have been to the shop and twice my change was 6.66 and on one occasion i owed 6.66 maybe co-incidental.

My logical explanation for this is we encounter lots of different numbers more than we think. What probably happened to me was i saw 666 for the first time. Then on another occasion by coincidence i see the number 666 again and this time i remember seeing that number before so the number becomes significant. So each time i see 666, the significance grows, you keep reinforcing the idea you are seeing this number a lot. But if we made a mental note of all the numbers we came across in a day, week, we will find or I will find that the number 666 is not that special.

Also its obvious that numbers like 911, 666, 1111 etc are significant, so it will stand out more than other numbers like 4:38, 531...And when something stands out you pay more attention to it right

something you may find interesting, which i came across on david icke's website a few days ago:

when you add the last two digits of the date of your birth (ie for 1984 that would be 84) to the age you will reach this year (for 1984 that's 27). you will invariably get the number 111.

this could be just a funny coincidence, or an extra confirmation of the siginificance of the number 11 in the year 2011? (this year we get a lot of dates with only 1s in the number, if you leave out the "2" of "2011": 1/1/11, 10/1/11, 11/1/11, 1/11/11 10/11/11, 11/11/11).

i personally don't really know anything about this kind of numerological stuff or have an opinion as to its validity/meaning, other than agreeing that the PTB are very interested in staging their important events on numerologically significant dates, but i'm pointing it out just in case this is something you'd like to look into, since the number keeps haunting you :)

if you're interested in spoonbending in general, not just uri in particular, i have a personal experience with spoonbending that i can share with you:

two years back, i lived in antwerp for a short while in a kind of flat share, and an ex-resident came to visit.
another new resident had heard that he could bend spoons and asked him to show her. he wasn't exactly excited about being asked to demonstrate, but agreed to do it. afterwards, when asked how he did it, he was evasive and didn't really say anything (we didn't press him, conversation turned to other topics).
my personal theory/feeling behind his silence was that, since we were quite obviously non-spiritual and “caught in consensus-reality” kinds of people and viewing it as a kind of circus trick, and he/what he was doing was coming from a completely different perspective, there wasn't much he could say to us, and if we were really interested, we could research & learn it by ourselves (there are even how-to videos on youtube http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+bend+spoons&aq=f).
actually for me, i had begun some overtures into spiritual stuff some seven years back, but became distracted by sort-of-mainstream-life before getting anywhere. this experience actually made me remember things that used to matter to me but which i forgot, and started me again on the journey that led me here :)

the spoon bending:

we (about 5 peoople) went into the kitchen together, and he took a soup spoon (not the small tea-spoon kind) from our cutlery, while we stood around him. what he did was basically taking place a foot from my face, and he was using our spoons and not any he had brought, so that made trickery practically impossible.

he just held the spoon in one hand, put his thumb and forefinger under the head(?) of the spoon, and just bent it. no kind of excertion on his part or any kind of dramatic waiting or anything involved. the whole thing, from grabbing the spoon to having it bent, took some 10-15 seconds. he bent the spoon into the shape of an L.

now comes another interesting part: apparently, his control over the whole thing wasn't perfect. rather than just bend the spoon back, he had to hit it repeatedly on our table and use both arms (and at least 30 sec) to get it back into the old shape. that spoon of course wasn't an "easy to bend with physical force alone" type.

then, i don't remember in which order, he took 2 soup spoons and one little one, and, with the same kind of speed and ease, twisted their heads around, once for the big ones, twice for the small one. he didn't try to bend these back again.

which brings me to: i actually bought new cutlery for that place and took those spoons home with me when i left antwerp, and i took a picture of them for you today :)

New to Avalon. Just wanted to share that I also have been experiencing this over a year now. 9.11 over and over and unexpectedly or 11.11 or 444.

What is striking is that I am not looking for it. It happens to be there. I'll ask a friend for the time and they'll reply the above. So much so that my firends have begun to take note of it too.

I just feel, in my gutt, that it is pointing me to continue the path I am on. Seeing those numbers give me a sense of comfort and chance to breathe and reflect on what I am doing. Makes me feel grounded and connected to something beyond the physical reality that I am caught up in.

I started seeing the numbers back in 1996 a few years after the start of my awakening. But it was not only 1111s but 44s, and 22s. There have been periods of time where the occurrences of those numbers was more intense than others. But these days the appearance of them is more intense then they have ever been. But now it also includes 33s and 77s. It'll happen over a hundred times a day. In the middle of the night my eyes will snap open to look at the clock at 3:33:33 or 4:44:44 or 5:22:22, all kinds of combinations like that. They are just everywhere. Just this week, I woke in the middle of the night to see 11 11 projected on the wall right in front of me. Some lighting on a building across the street is causing light to be projected through little gaps in my blinds forming the numbers on the wall. Numerologically my first and last names are 22s.. It's just crazy. I'm still not sure what it all means. THey have ben hints and harbingers of good things that have happened. Given the intensity of them these days, something big must be going on.

String theory physicists now support with research that what we notice (give power/attention/significance to) tends to recur/grow larger or more significant in our experience. I recently bought a Volvo, so now I see Volvos everywhere, when before I never took notice of them. Once you start noticing 11:11 (and attach meaning to it), you will tend to notice it everywhere. I don't mean to invalidate anyone's significance attached to the recurring number theme--only point out that it is YOU who are conferring meaning to it. As a student of numerology, I do in fact believe numbers have significance and meaning attached to them, but I think we can choose how to flow or combine with them. Just thoughts....

That’s an interesting take on repeating numbers. What you experienced might indeed be as you experienced it; but that has not been my experience, nor that of some others I know.

Personally I have found that numbers have great meaning. When I have paid attention to repeating numbers it has helped me to make the connection to some of my past (past lives) and more.

I believe numbers help us to REMEMBER (see above post by pugwash84), hence why many are possibly seeing 11:11 on a frequent basis.
11:11 also physically resembles 2 paths or doorways, so to me it seems symbolic of stepping from one path to a new path (i.e. moving from a lower vibration to a higher vibration). In effect this number is helping people to remember who they are.

I have had an interest in numerology for about 20 years, but never thought of it as anything more than it just being useful for personality analysis. I was wrong!
The two repeating numbers I began to see the most many years ago were 153 (and it’s mirror 351) and 213 (and it’s mirror 312). The 153 first appeared to me on the 15th March (15.3) and this was just a few hours before a lunar eclipse in the sign of Virgo. Those who have some knowledge of numbers and gematria and astrology would understand. Then, last year, I came across G. Kavasillas’ videos where he talks about these numbers in particular and makes mention also of Margaret Starbird and her book ‘The Woman with the Alabaster Jar’ (which I had found per chance while I myself was researching the number 153). .... so to see George talk about this was a big ‘AHA, I KNOW’ moment.

So, did I take the bait and was I hooked? .... or, have I woken up.

Yep, I'm an 11 guy too. Never noticed numbers or cared about numerology until seeing the Jim Carry movie "23". Didn't take long to forget about the #23 because the 11's were everywhere. Letters in my name, birthdate, the ever popular digital clocks, and on and on.
