Graham Hancock's America Before looks at North America's mounds. I have downloaded the book, but have yet to read it.

Can I also thoroughly recommend Cliff Dunning's "Earth & Ancients (https://player.fm/series/earth-ancients)" weekly show on the theme of ancient civilisations.

It's just awesome. I discovered this in the spring and downloaded it for a few months. Then started feeling guilty about not subscribing (they are available to non-subscribers) because each show was so fascinating, so I took out a subscription in the end. He gets great guests and the format is pleasantly structured with new items & and discussion. You'll be amazed about how much is actually going on in the world if ancient civilisations research.

(It's also a great breakaway from the non-stop jackhammer Covid-19 narrative. Breath of fresh air).

I read this. Hancock may be considered an "outsider" when it comes to archaeology, but he backs up every claim he makes in the book with extensive footnotes.
