However, as I have said several times in other threads,
to me there is a difference between the moral fight in general against oppressive mandates versus the fight when they apply to you personally.

You can be sure that most of the doctors, nurses, other healthcare workers, pilots, business owners/workers, etc. who stage these big protests are motivated primarily because it affects them personally rather than any altrusitic reasons.

Simply look at the time when they organize their protests.
In this case the truckers are protesting just as a vaccine mandate took hold for them.

Mandated supply chain issues affect all Canadians, not just 15% of all truckers on the road. Many of the truckers protesting are fully vaxxed, or otherwise not affected by the new mandate - and this didn't effect those ones at all personally.

Pretty sure even if they wanted to, they previously had jobs to attend to and didn't have national support, nor 4.5 million dollars to fund their protest, until the new mandates hit two weeks ago.

Had they done this before the new mandate, it would have been a complete disaster, as they would be the sole cause of supply chain problems, and the public would have quickly turned on them as their food supplies dwindled while Trudeau would take advantage of this divide and classify the truckers as a terrorist organization holding hostage the goods needed for Canadians to live. That would have been a completely stupid thing to have done.

Timing is important. Obviously.

Because the roll out of various mandates happens over time, then the success of such as a protest is affected by what mandates have been rolled out, how many Canadians are affected by that roll out, and what the public's response is to each new mandate. So of course timing is important, in order to capitalize on public response.

If they started a trucker convoy to protest hand washing when they first started making hand washing and sanitizer policy, everyone would have laughed at them and no one would have joined them.

Yeah I don't quite see it either, hence our subsequent discussion on the topic. It seems to me that now is the right time for this type of protest. Sure we could have been protesting harder, earlier, but Canadians are a very patient people, although we do have a breaking point :) It is very important to gain public trust in your cause, and there just wasn't enough people questioning things a year ago or so, for major protest to have a positive impact. When protesting for a cause, its easy to make enemies and easy for people to fall victim to government controlled media propaganda against your cause. Now that enough Canadians are approaching their breaking point, strong protest now makes more sense for maximum effectiveness.

A critical mass of "questioners" is required before public protest starts to have meaningful benefit.

I have seen reports of stores in certain parts of the country having bare/semi bare shelves.
No reports of people starving anywhere.

As to the timing of the protest.

As I mentioned above, up until now each work sector, be it doctors, nurses, other health care workers, firefighters, pilots etc. have each taken to protesting when specific mandates hit them personally.

That was the timing of each of their protests.
Nothing wrong with that. It's perfectly a natural thing to do.

Just as there's nothing wrong with the truckers protesting now. It's hitting them personally.

Of course, we all know that a trucker protest that has the potential to disrupt the supply chain
in either a small or big way will get a lot more attention from the public, the media and government.
The reasons are obvious.

But its roots are in a mandate that's hitting a certain work sector personally.

Thanks for bringing it all together. It seems to me each person (thus also - groups of persons) are dependent upon many elements of the current systems in place. And the various sub-dependencies form a complexity such that few are able to justify to themselves risking the loss of what they can count on as long as the current system holds up... and "they" know this. The abusers I mean, know this. And that is why they are imposing upon the masses as a whole - "death by a thousand cuts." And so I thought you were criticizing the truckers for their timing because they are finally taking a collective action because they were finally experiencing a direct hit.

IMO none of us are heroes... save a very very very tiny few here and there (but this is nothing but my subjective opinion). Nowadays, most would be heroes get cancelled, locked up or killed off.

I look at what we are up against. "They" know us far better than most within the collective "us" know themselves... and so they are playing the long game and they are slicing a little off here and there over a planned length of time until they get their goal for this phase accomplished well enough for them to move to the next phase.

Here's my take (which could have been posted in any number of threads).

Here's the 'dilemma' as I see it.
The end goal is not the vaccines, but rather the vaccine passports (CBDC etc.)

If they let the pandemic end 'in the next 60 days' they won't have nearly enough time to
vax the remaining population.

Therefore they won't have any hope of implementing vax passes (which for them are essential) with so many un-vaxxed.

That's why I remain skeptical this will end 'in 60 days'.

I just happened to think about something, and I'd say it could fit here, although it deviates the main topic just a little bit, I wouldn't wanna make another thread for it.

It is about the greater scheme of things, and what could come out of this whole situation involving Canada.

At the other side of the world, Russia and the US are escalating that whole affair of theirs everyone knows very well already. But we have a little big (huge) hiding player here, which is China.

What if, (and it is nothing more than that, a "what if") all this b****** promoted by Trudeau (suspected to be the bastard son of Castro, but i know nothing about that) was intentionally throwing this first Canadian revolution on him in order to destabilise the country? That is, in my completely inexpert opinion, the most reliable way to put boots on the ground of the USA in the event of a WW3: A broken Canada without a reliable government, with a large pacific shoreline, access to the pole, and huge non defended border with the US. And which american would have imagined a broken Canada?

The internet was in an uproar yesterday when GoFundMe blocked access to the funds that would help support the convoy of at least 50,000 truckers headed to Ottawa, Canada's capital, on Saturday. The donations are expected to be dished out to truckers who participated in the rally, paying for their fuel, food, and hotel. A major revolt is underway in Canada as the government and corporate media downplay the movement that continues to gain steam. Truckers are up in arms about vaccine mandates that began on Jan. 15 and required unvaccinated truckers crossing back into Canada to be tested and quarantined for a week. The US enacted a similar policy on Jan. 22. These two mandates immediately took 20% of the 160,000 cross-border American and Canadian truckers off the road due to noncompliance in both countries.

On Thursday, the movement caught the eye of the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, who tweeted that he supports the truckers to his 71.8 million followers.

Here's the full update from one of the organizers of the Freedom Rally, who said the first batch of the more than 6.8 million CAD had been released.
We have some great news to share with all of you! We have received confirmation that GoFundMe has released our first batch of funds and is initiating our first transfer. We can't thank you enough for your patience.

Sadly, the legacy media felt it was necessary to publish news articles implying that GoFundMe had frozen our funds for a variety of outrageous reasons. In reality, the temporary hold was due to international banking regulations which dictate many of GoFundMe policies. It is common practice with GoFundMe to conduct this kind of due diligence to ensure the funds are legitimate.

For our case, because of the overwhelming donations we have received, and we are currently the 8th fastest growing campaign in their history, the constant attempts by activists to flag our campaign as illegitimate exacerbated the already tedious process. The release of this first batch of funds will allow us to start processing registration forms and remittances to drivers who need our support. I didn't know about the airline connection but I can certainly back up what Chris was saying about Switch Health.

I'm sure I posted this here before in another thread. I have had personal experience with Switch Health and it wasn't pleasant.

He is correct about its short history. Amazingly, after being in the Covid testing business for less than a year, the Public Health Agency of Canada awarded Switch Health a contract in early 2021 worth nearly $100 million to manage hundreds of thousands of coronavirus tests for travelers arriving in the country at land-border crossings in Ontario, Alberta, Atlantic Canada and at Toronto's Pearson airport.

Here is the best part. It doesn't do any of the actual testing! It passes on the collected swabs and forwards them to established testing companies.
So Switch Health is a 'go-between company' with just a few years track record in the 'health industry' and zero ability to perform any of the tests themselves.
Somehow they managed to convince the government of Canada to award them the lucrative contract over other much more experienced companies.

AND, this was all done 'under the table'. The exact contract details are all being hidden from public view as most Covid-related contracts fall under the Canadian 'National Security Exception', enabled when Covid-19 was declared a national emergency.

For two years we have been waiting for any federal leadership voicing a counter opinion to the official government position. How can we gather a countering force if no leader would come forward? O'Toole was just that, a 't**l, in the most derogatory derivative meaning of that phrase. He had the golden opportunity to become the voice of opposition but he was a coward and a fool!

The Conservative party has no choice but to be that voice, or loose all credibility as a party distinct from the uni-party rule coming out of Ottawa at this time. The NDP has lost all relevance since the election of their leader - a leader that cannot possibly win a federal election - not for another twenty years at least. If the Conservatives do not want to follow down that road to non-relevance then they must offer a clear alternative to the policies of this current government.

I did not see the beginning, but only caught up with it in the 4th hour. I don't suppose I missed much as it seemed to be mostly political blah blah blah. A politician taking their time on the floor to be seen and heard.

One out of about every 4 to 5 actually questioned the whereabouts of the prime minister and attempted to push the dialogue towards having a peaceful resolution and hear what the people in the protest had to say.

Many of them are still convinced (or forced to say) that the "said" vaccine is a real vaccine and that if we all took it everything would be fine.

I got this from a telegram post but it has shown up on many sites, including Reddit for example.There have been many that clicked on it shortly after the video and found the same info but shortly therafter it "disappeared" and was replaced with something referring to toiletries? For example, here's one link to Reddit which includes comments from people who had tried to access it as well (successfully albeit briefly)

it was actually true on the website then deleted in a hurry because Canada gov should be public and transparent but it's secretive so unethical and corrupt and it does appear that this was taken down shortly after it was "discovered".

Also, the person demonstrates on his computer accessing the Gov of Canada site and recording the info before it was removed.

I just read a few comments from it (it seemed they were from Reddit).

It doesn't matter where they were from (which forum).
One poster said (at the same time of the 'discovery') that he pulled up the same wording

I just want to say that it is wonderful what is happening now in Canada with respect to the trucker convoy
and its effect on the government, Ottawa politicians, police forces and the MSM.

When the convoy started the MSM was doing everything in its power to avoid covering the story.

As the days went by, they grudgingly started to cover bits and pieces, but always putting a spin
on the story that there were very few truckers in the convoy and that they had little support
by Canadians.

After a week they were forced to cover the story in more detail.
But once again, they were always trying to put a negative spin to the story.
Now it was racists, nazis, rioters, terrorists, disfiguring monuments etc. etc.
No mention made whatsoever to the number of truckers and supporters who
were keeping the city spotless, cleaning garbage, snow etc.

They only focused on a few protesters with outcast flags and made it seem
the entire protest was aligned with them!

Well now the protest has become a crisis in Ottawa!

The Canadian MSM is making the story the top news item and is forced to devote
the majority of its news time on it! :)

But rest assured, they continue to do everything in their power to give a negative
spin to the story. The truckers and their supporters are the bad guys, and this
is why...

I can't wait to see how this plays out!

There clearly is a disconnect - check what the original posting was prior to deletion and rewording! When the link was originally clicked on, the image above was what showed up (for a number of people). After this was discovered, whoever removed it, changed it and it became something else (very simple, no need to make it complicated because it doesn't fit the language you think it should :facepalm:). And, as a couple of posters noted when they tried to get in again after seeing the original post, they were "banned". So, its pretty in the face clear it started out as something else and then was changed. You can certainly choose to "believe" what you want. Anyway, I am now Done ... over and out!!

Update (2013ET): And just like that, the honkening may be coming to an end - as Alberta Premier Jason Kenney announced on Tuesday that he's ending the province's vaccine passport system. The program will end by midnight tonight, according to Kenney.

As the Toronto Star notes: 'The passport system, dubbed as the Restrictions Exemption Program, is the first of the province’s current public health restrictions to go in a phased approach laid out by Kenney at a press conference Tuesday. “Now is the time to begin learning to live with COVID,” said Kenney. “These restrictions have led to terrible division. We cannot remain at a heightened state of emergency forever. We have to begin to heal.”

Kenney announced a three-stage approach for the loosening of public health measures. First, the province will remove nearly all restrictions for children, including the kindergarten to Grade 12 mask mandate, by the coming weekend. Children who are 12 and under also won’t have to abide by the general mask mandate in Alberta. The general mandate still applies for the rest of the population. “It is time to let kids be kids,” Kenney said.

As the Star reports, after three weeks, authorities will determine if the province can move to Stage 2, which would see "almost all the remaining restrictions lifted," including the mask mandate, capacity limits, and work-from-home orders. Kenny is hopeful this can be accomplished by March 1.

The final stage would see all restrictions lifted - however this could be paused if the healthcare system is under too much stress from Covid.

There are three reasons why this is totally absurd:

1. Why would the Government of Canada advertise publicly for any product or service needed for the Covid-19 pandemic four years in advance?

2. How would any business know what the advertisement was about when there was no pandemic at the time, years before 2020?

3. Why can you still go to the government website today and pull up ads with the exact same wording used in the ad Jason referenced?

I did a search just now at the same site Jason did (Canada.ca) for “Attention! Are you a business that can supply products and services in support of Canada’s response to COVID-19? Canada wants to hear from you.” This is the same result that Jason got when he searched for ‘Grenades and Tear Gas’.

Check out my search results. Pay close attention to the dates and read each ad carefully. His search was done on his phone. Mine was done on my computer (hence the different formatting).

One thing George Soros, Justin Trudeau, SNC-Lavalin, and the People’s Party of Canada (PPC) have in common is the Canada Investment Bank (1). Since the Civilian Intelligence Network began covering Johanne Mennie and her involvement with the social economy and global communism (2), many naysayers have commented that Ms. Mennie was “just a civil servant” or they brush off her involvement because “it happened so long ago.” We have demonstrated that she was a lot more than a mere attendee at a corporate meeting; Johanne Mennie was a key player for the social economy agenda with deep connections to government policy creation and implementation.

Analysis of the October 2006 Tides Foundation Conference reveals a focus on the establishment of a national institution to act as a Social Investment Bank to support the social economy through investment by credit unions, banks, and pension funds (3). This Social Investment Bank, the brainchild of the Soros-linked Tides Canada Foundation, is being implemented under the name of the Canada Investment Bank by Justin Trudeau’s government (1). At the time these “Banks” were being planned, then-Deputy-Director Johanne Mennie (now Executive Director of the PPC) worked under Maxime Bernier. This begs the question: How could he not know about what was discussed at this meeting? He would have approved her expenses and therefore the purpose surrounding those expenses!

The November 2018 Liberal budget announced by Finance Minister Bill Morneau contained a section on Social Finance. Simply, the document states: “The ultimate goal is to create a social finance market in Canada that doesn’t need ongoing government support.” (4)

To be clear, Bill Morneau is referring to Patient Capital, the financing required to implement community programs, cooperatives, outreach programs. (5) He is not addressing the hidden costs to these programs themselves: the billions of dollars in tax credits, or the grants and tax incentives Canada Revenue Agency pays out annually for these programs. Yet these programs, implemented in one form or another throughout Quebec, have never made a penny and always required ongoing government support.

Clearly, all attendees at the 2006 Tides Foundation meeting were aware this sector operates at a loss and that funding non-profits, foundations, and charities comes at great taxpayer expense at over $60 billion per year (6). This raises the question about the intention behind Justin Trudeau‘s new Infrastructure Bank, a huge component of the Canada Investment Bank, that will be funding community projects for non-profits. In a 2018 interview , Trudeau “had high praise for the work of organizations that support people in need through the social economy”. (7)

When asked about how he was addressing homelessness and his affordable housing strategy, Trudeau said he was aware of the issues concerning social housing:

We’re advocating for a human rights-based approach to housing…Our approach is different. It’s an approach that has been praised by the United Nations. We’re putting human rights, the right to dignity, to freedom of choice, to health and to safety at the center of our strategy… We’re listening, working with, and, most importantly, continuing to value the extraordinary work done by community organizations on the ground as well as social enterprises.

Even though Stephen Harper cancelled these programs in 2006, a Canadian Task Force on Social Finance, consisting of organizational representatives in attendance at the 2006 Tides Canada Conference, was established in 2010. The representatives include: Tim Draimin from Tides Canada Foundation, Tim Broadhead from J.W. McConnell Family Foundation (current mentor of the Trudeau Foundation), Tamara Vrooman from Vancity and former Liberal Prime Minister Paul Martin (8).

Prime Minster Harper also spent considerable time trying to shut down the social economic loopholes that surrounded charities and foundations (9). The outcry over his attempts to shut down these taxpayer money traps was completely misguided (10). His efforts were instead, a patriotic attempt to release the grip of the United Nations globalist tentacles on Canadian Sovereignty. Imagine what a Canadian politician could do if not for the devices of the Quebec power elite (11).

It is important to note that while the names of organizations or programs may change, the social economic agenda has always continued. The following links show the history of how the 2006 Tides Canada meeting of October 2006 evolved into The Canadian Task Force on Social Finance established in 2010 by Rt. Hon. Paul Martin, and that it was funded by the Ontario Liberal government under the leadership of Dalton McGuinty. Note the same players present throughout. (12)(13)

The Paul Martin government passed the Social Economy torch to the Trudeau Liberal’s who have revived the programs and expanded their reach with an additional $400 million in funding to overseas initiatives. This investment merely represents the startup funds for these non-profit sectors and does not include the billions of dollars in tax credits that Canadian taxpayers fund. By financing overseas initiatives the Trudeau Liberal government is also spreading this left-wing Marxist agenda globally, as the following quote explains (14):

A Canadian attempt to help charities and non-profits find new ways to finance social services is set to be one of the largest such efforts in the world. A government-struck panel over the summer recommended the Liberals provide up to $500 million in financing for groups that provide services such as housing the homeless or skills training for hard-to-employ individuals. The government’s economic update this week went beyond that, promising $755 million over 10 years. Internal government documents from this fall note that similar funds overseas, scaled to Canada’s population and economy, would have about $400 million in government seed money.

Will Canadians be further exploited by corporations and foundations to fund their social economy initiatives? History and current events say yes, absolutely. Both Tim Brodhead, Trudeau Foundation mentor and president from 2013-14, and representatives from SNC-Lavalin attended the infamous planning meeting for the Canada Investment Bank in 2006. SNC-Lavalin has been the sole beneficiary of the bank thus far (15).

The SNC-Lavalin scandal has shed light on the bribery and fraud surrounding the Liberal Infrastructure Bank. Billions of dollars of Canadian taxpayer money being poured into SNC-Lavalin with much of that cash going overseas. The World Bank has listed SNC-Lavalin as an ineligible firm to receive funding due to allegations of fraud and corruption (16). If SNC is convicted, the federal government is still on the hook to pay out the contracts’ worth to SNC‘s shareholders. That will not only damage the Canadian economy, the Canadian taxpayer will also be responsible for the losses. A bigger question is, how much of the $35 billion of the $186 billion in contracts already pledged has SNC have been signed with the current and fully realized, Canada Infrastructure Bank? And if convicted, how much money are we going to be shelling out to SNC?

An article from Press Progress answers that question for us (17):

one of the primary functions of the bank is to provide “loan guarantees” to private investors, essentially protecting their return on investment and making the taxpayer entirely liable in situations where forecasts prove inaccurate, projects fail, or costs otherwise accrue above and beyond what was expected
Not surprisingly, Press Progress also reported that “more than half of the Canada Infrastructure Bank’s Board of Directors have Liberal connections.“ (18)

In 2006, Stephen Harper‘s first act as prime minister was to implement The Director of Prosecutions Act, an independent prosecutor’s office designed to prevent future occurrences of corruption and allow public scrutiny (19). It worked perfectly (20)! In fact, from that same article, Jody Wilson-Raybould tells us that Gerald Butts had “talked to me about how the statute was set up by Harper (and) that he does not like the law“.

Guaranteed loans for this Canada Investment Bank project are just one issue. Another is that loans are only granted when a corporation or foundation proposal aligns with specific obligations. Terence Corcoran explains (21):

Corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainable development, environmental and social corporate governance (ESG), impact investing, triple bottom line, social finance — no CEO in any major industry can deliver a speech without confirming his company’s dedication to one or all of the above along with a host of other politically correct objectives.
Corporations are being forced to abide with the UN Global Compact in order to obtain funding. Wasn’t it the Trudeau Liberals that said the UN Global Compact was not legally binding?

Throughout the article mentioned above, you will see how investment in Alberta’s oil sector is hampered by the political correctness imposed on corporations by the social economic model (21):

The rainforest should also be no place for bank CSR activities. But, in 2008, RBC pledged $500,000 to the Tides Canada Foundation to help fund the Great Bear Rainforest protection racket. Tides, whose objective is to kill Alberta’s oil sands, raised millions to close off 64,000 square kilometers of British Columbia forest. In other words, RBC’s corporate social responsibility — funded through its “Blue Water Project” — helped set up a rainforest that now serves as a barrier to getting Alberta oil to market.
This article also provides a brief summation of Canada’s Infrastructure Bank and the new social economy: “It’s just lending out government money” says Caron. “That’s not what the Infrastructure Bank is supposed to be about.” (22)

Indeed, the Bank’s purpose is to receive private equity and invest it in Canadian infrastructure, not lend government money. With time ticking away, repackaging old deals as new ones suggests things are not working out. “I have not heard of a single private firm that has decided to invest in the Infrastructure Bank,” says Caron. Meanwhile, transit is still delayed, schools and community centres are still in disrepair, and social housing still isn’t being built. (22)

Back in 2006, developing the social economy in Canada was a mere idea written in the minutes of a meeting attended by corporate elite and policy makers. In 2019, the Canada Infrastructure Bank has materialized. It is our intention, here at Civilian Intelligence Network, to dig deeper into this subject. In the few years that social finance programs have existed, government has not spent tax-dollars to fund infrastructure projects for the social economy. This is an entirely new venture that will ultimately consume billions of dollars, all on the backs of the Canadian taxpayer, and all going towards non-profit initiatives. Brace yourselves, the red-wave is definitely upon us!

They are backed into a wall and they will use WHATEVER big scary thing they can throw at the people.

Every time Dug Ford (the Ontario Premiere) speaks to the public, he sounds like he is scared of his own words. He is very uncomfortable doing what he is doing and saying what he is saying. He is obviously being told what to do with a big "or else" attached to it.

Trudope has to go all in or else what does he face? Jail time? Or will the organization that put him there (WEF) suicide him to keep him quiet?
He is all in and hoping the tide never turns. But tides always turn.

What is the free world going to think if Canada locks their entire population into a prison and does experiments on everyone? Of course we have all endured this type of stuff in some way or another, but the Canadian government (Trudope) is pushing too much.

Watching the parliament meetings, Trudope has less and less support each time it seems. He even walked out of the meeting a few days ago because he didn't want to face the questions.

People get into politics to make a name for themselves but when you are getting pulled into a bad page of history it is time to leave or change the story. People are going to be thinking about how much do they want to be associated with a mad tyrant.
