On November 24, 1963, I remember watching TV with my brother when we saw Lee Harvey Oswald shot on live TV.
Accused of being the lone gunman in the assassination of JFK,, Oswald never got a trial. He was 24
My art piece was made in the memory of this event, and our insatiable appetite for our daily sugar fix of MSM.

Even as a child, this event rattled me. It was like - "How the heck could this be allowed to happen to such a notorious, guarded, killer?"
It did not compute, even back then.
Similar to Epstein dissonance.

I do not want to detract from thepainterdoug’s art, all of which is quite good and very impressive.
So with some hesitation let me say that what always struck me about Oswald’s murder (as I am prepared to believe he was killed) is how the men escorting Oswald held him up and forward, and stood back. I am convinced they knew what was about to happen and did not want to fall victim themselves somehow. If the bullet didn’t kill him, lack of medical care did.
Nice work thepainterdoug, as usual.

Oh, same here!
My excuse shall be, that like all great art, it touches us and makes us think.
Amazing work, Painterdoug.

As I write this I am listening to the beautiful and peaceful Catholic chant in the background voicing the deep base sound of the Universe. You fit into that picture, peacefully painting your beautiful work.

Doug you are certainly the Georges Seurat of breakfast cereals. How does sugar laden cereal and silicone stack up to oil paint as an enduring medium?
