I debated with myself as to whether to post this, because of course I could be charged with the outrage of 'Self Promotion', however, I think in the interests of what this forum is founded on, this being a search for truth, expression of personal research and specialised communication I will go ahead.

We know that the World Wide Web has given us access to a global communication platform of unprecedented power, and reach. We also know that this is always being trivialised, and presented as being 'invalid' by the very powerful media owners from the Broadcast empires. The web represents the collapse of this previous order of publishers and media barons.
Anyway, one of my personal projects is to help people who are literate, and intelligent and interested with becoming Journalists of the 21st Century.
Being able to publish effectively on the WWW is a great opportunity, we can go directly to people, without needing to 'take a knee' at the gatekeepers office!
If the moderators, or Bill consider this post is a 'step too far' then I will graciously accept removal; I tend to think they will not be too perturbed, this is for people who are specifically interested with journalism, and blogging.
No money, or gratuity is involved.

Thanks Mike  This is perfectly acceptable to post, no problem there. You're sharing a skill here - all good and it serves to benefit and empower those interested.

I am, amongst other things, a journalist (who hasn't done much 'proper' work for a while!) but prefer to avoid the noun - "citizen" - prefix :) Still, I completely get what is meant by it of course. I'll have a proper look at the presentation at lunchtime. (No speakers here at work so will need to wear my cans (headphones) to be able to enjoy this. )

Thank you very much TinTin, that is a very kind response, I am not expecting much of a response but because i posted this on YouTube recently I thought if there are people who wish to discover how to build their own media platform, and thereby add to the mix of discussion and information, I can certainly help them. I think there are a lot of resources online, and I am not claiming 'unique skill' here, but I am sympathetic to the cause, if you know what I mean!
