the FIRST EVER LEAK of a COMMUNIST PARTY DATABASE
13/12/2020|7min ago
A major leak containing a register with the details of nearly two million CCP members has occurred – exposing members who are now working all over the world, while also lifting the lid on how the party operates under Xi Jinping, says Sharri Markson.
Ms Markson said the leak is a register with the details of Communist Party members, including their names, party position, birthday, national ID number and ethnicity.
“It is believed to be the first leak of its kind in the world,” the Sky News host said.
“What's amazing about this database is not just that it exposes people who are members of the communist party, and who are now living and working all over the world, from Australia to the US to the UK,” Ms Markson said.
“But it's amazing because it lifts the lid on how the party operates under President and Chairman Xi Jinping”.
Ms Markson said the leak demonstrates party branches are embedded in some of the world’s biggest companies and even inside government agencies.
“Communist party branches have been set up inside western companies, allowing the infiltration of those companies by CCP members - who, if called on, are answerable directly to the communist party, to the Chairman, the president himself,” she said.
“Along with the personal identifying details of 1.95 million communist party members, mostly from Shanghai, there are also the details of 79,000 communist party branches, many of them inside companies”.
Ms Markson said the leak is a significant security breach likely to embarrass Xi Jinping.
“It is also going to embarrass some global companies who appear to have no plan in place to protect their intellectual property from theft. From economic espionage,” she said.
Ms Markson said the data was extracted from a Shanghai server by Chinese dissidents, whistleblowers, in April 2016, who have been using it for counter-intelligence purposes.
“It was then leaked in mid-September to the newly-formed international bi-partisan group, the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China- and that group is made up of 150 legislators around the world.
“It was then provided to an international consortium of four media organisations, The Australian, The Sunday Mail in the UK, De Standaard in Belgium and a Swedish editor, to analyse over the past two months, and that's what we've done".
Ms Markson said it, “is worth noting that there's no suggestion that these members have committed espionage - but the concern is over whether Australia or these companies knew of the CCP members and if so have any steps been taken to protect their data and people”.

Here is a video with Robert Potter, Cyber Security Expert and Founder of Internet 2.0
He was the one to examine it and verify authenticity.
Sharri: the world exclusive the first ever leak of a Communist Party out of China, out of Shanghai. It has the personal details of more than 1.95 million members who are now, many of them all around the world.
joining now to discuss this is Cyber Security Expert Robert Potter, he is the man who verified this data. Thank you Robert for your time ....
Robert, thank you for your time this evening
Robert: thank you for having me, its good to be here
Sharri: Now first of all, why is a leak of communist party members actually significant?
Robert: Well, its really interesting cause it gives us an unprecedented view into the structure and method of the operations of the Chinese Communist Party. Its not something that is easily seen. Its not something that becomes available every day. It shows how the party had taken on a global view. The way that it interacts with foreign companies. The way that it seeks to influence and engage in operations abroad and you see that structure again, and again when you evaluate this information, you can see the global nature of the Chinese Communist Party .
And you can also see just how diverse it is, There are people in there who are billionaires, there are people in there who are poor .. "

An extraordinary leaked database of 1.95 million registered party members reveals how Beijing's malign influence now stretches into almost every corner of British life, including defence firms, banks and pharmaceutical giants.
Most alarmingly, some of its members – who swear a solemn oath to 'guard Party secrets, be loyal to the Party, work hard, fight for communism throughout my life...and never betray the Party' – are understood to have secured jobs in British consulates.
Among them is a senior official at the British Consulate in Shanghai. Its headquarters is also home to intelligence officers from the UK security services.
The official describes their role as supporting ministers and officials on visits to East China.

huge thanks to Australia for breaking the news
the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China will be obliged to respond
i'm certain that MANY of the bad actors we have identified not only have ties but that the CCP is responsible for the subversive ANTI-America choices and actions these folk have taken. and i will be astounded if Canada's Justin Trudeau and Germany's Angela Merkel are not surrounded by names on this list ...
we have brandied the word "treason" around
it is deeply disturbing to be confronted with the accuracy of the term
by SO many entrusted by the American public and that of citizens ALL over the world
many will not ever realize how close we came to a precipice and point of no return
here is a sobering commentary i read to provide some perspective:
As someone who grew up in the soviet union just let me say this, you guys are going to love being hungry!
Good luck, hope you can catch and execute them all before they get you first
this time? i don't think we can afford to allow ANY to slide or slither away undetected ..

CSIS the Canadian Security Intelligence Service took an unprecedented step of PUBLICLY stating this on TV years ago. No idea what, if anything happened.
Alas, Canada is known as being extremely lazy about our security and most recently our Prime Minister is being called to task for demanding we Teach Chinese Soldiers our Winter warfare techniques..which of course are essentially NATO's winter warfare techniques, ops and technologies. And for selling our tech companies to China...and for allowing China to places some radar systems in our territories for "science experiments" which has infuriated the American armed forces. AND our own. Purportedly Chinese owned firms in BC have Chinese soldiers and owrkers stationed there. I cannot verify this.
I note from personal experience having studied both in Oxford and at U of Toronto that there is obvious ( to me) attempts to sexually coerce students into relations with "honey pots". I'm gay and the OBVIOUS attempt to gain my attention on NUMEROUS occasions did not phase this Chinese national, she offered me her "brother" who look disconcerted at first but after a terse admonishment by his 45 something year old "handler" became instantly enamoured.
This also happens, in my experience, with alarming frequency in tech, applied research and science sectors. As a broad generalization the boys and men in these sectors are sorely lacking in social skills and ANY attention from a female is gleefully accepted. Yes, most are geeks, many are "dorks" and most under 60 have a very strong affinity for all things Asian. Although moreso Korean and Japanese. Those with reasonably developed social skills do find Asian women attractive but most importantly Asian women aim to please their men and are much more reminiscent of pre 3rd wave feminism. I would not discount them though...they get their way and have a LONG history of being property owners and successful business owners. Western women have become somewhat more and more unappealing to heterosexual men the more and more assertive and demanding they become. THAT is a massive generalization, but it is holding out to be true.
It gets really exciting when 2nd Generation Asians ( this in a North American Context I am aware the term "Asian" in the UK is what is referred to as SE Asians Indian, Pakinstani, Bangladesh) who are born here end up head to head competing for a "white guy" with a CCP honeypot and Newly arrived immigrant. It can get ugly fast.
Contextually I have been informed by Asian females that Asian females have bought into the notion/programming that European males are a better choice as mates. It is acceptable to their parents to marry "whites" but not other Asians as their own culture politics would frown upon say a Japanese Chinese/Pakistani/Sri Lankan, Philipino union. Parents in N. America are decidedly dead set against Asian and African/Black marriages. Some exceptions for mega rich sport stars and rock star status musicians, actors. Although there are a lot of Jamaican Chinese in Toronto...that was another day and in another country. This also hold true in the gay community. Asian males prefer Causcasian men to the point that on social dating aps it is common to see a descriptor "Not into Asians" which is now considered "racist". Asian males rarely date each other.
I am not going to go into a detailed "pecking order" or hierarchy of Asians. Generally it is Japanese at the top and Filipinos at the bottom within Asiam communities. although as with most places money does carry a lot of weight.
It is not unusual for older white men to partner with younger Asian females usually Thai, Filipino, Singaporean etc. This can be for affection and companionship but there is usually a disparity of income and wealth between the 2. This is also common now with older gay men...or maybe it started there?
In current popular culture in Korea, Japan and a much lesser extent Mainland China their male youth and moving away from Androgynous looks to essentially boys in drag. Asian women find this "cool" and "trendy" but not very arousing. So I am told. They certainly do not present as "men". So that is the "dating reality" for CCP members with some insights into how this kinds sorta works.
Apart from that there is an enormous amount of Chinese nationals at our universities and for those who recall COVID=19 was developed here or at the very least was removed and transported from Canada to Wuhan by a Chinese National whose officers were raided, computers seized and "students" "questioned". One of her colleagues going to as conference earlier in 2018 was detained with several vials of "unknown" solution tucked into his socks.
What I feel is most important than pointing fingers at China and the ludicrous dating world of today is the general apathy Canada has for many things. Purportedly we get most of our intelligence not from England, NATO or America....it comes from Israel. We trade them Canadian passports....what could possibly go wrong?
Some wondered why our minister of defense is not briefed by Northcom or Nato or our own defense ministry...we're leaking like a sieve here and many of our MP's were not even born here.

i'm pretty certain what is happening is the covert attempt by CCP to be face of world domination.
the fact that they have over 2 million on their "list" ~ ALL over the world, and we can point to some of these "assignment" as pretty long term, in excess of a decade. This strikes me as pretty determined on their part, it also shows focus and dedication.
in my experience and observation of society, i have found those particular qualities to be pretty congruent with success
meaning if there is an objective desired, and you set about its acquisition in a focused, determined manner with patience that stands the test of time? your chances of success? are pretty good
as it should be
what does NOT make sense is for a populace to be so lazy, apathetic and restrained that it fails to take appropriate action at ANY stage to preserve its autonomy and freedom and expect to keep it
but that's just MY way of thinking
sometimes people do not appreciate what they have had until it is gone
and if unwilling to take action to preserve it?
it being removed from them is also appropriate
what we are witnessing is the opportunity en mass to CHOOSE
and the choice is very simple, though wildly divergent
FREEDOM or SLAVERY
one will NECESSITATE committed, UNDETERRED FOCUSED ACTION
the choice to NOT take committed, undeterred, focused action
IS a CHOICE
it wins slavery
and that will not be 'Nice" but it WILL be appropriate
this will escalate to the point of people deciding on how much "heat" is "Hot enough"
those with high tolerance for pain, may find the water boiling and it a tad too late to finally arise to take action at some point
iota
14th December 2020, 05:37
and honey pots? work on fools whose ego is so sorely lacking that the experience OF being manipulated and deceived is ALSO appropriate
when they make different choices?
their experiences WILL be different
but NOT one .. iota ... earlier

Where Spying Is the Law
The New York Times ran a piece in March of 2919 that stated:
China requires its citizens and corporations to conduct espionage for the state.
Did Huawei comply?
some points in the article:
The American government has been warning allies that the [B]company has developed critical capabilities to carry out cyberespionage worldwide.
Congress has banned the use of Huawei products in federal projects for fear of compromising national security.
Spying for the state is a duty of the citizens and corporations of China under the law, much like paying taxes.
The state gives commendations and rewards to individuals and organizations that make major contributions to national intelligence efforts.
The N.I.L. leaves little room for opting out. “Obstructing the work” of China’s intelligence institutions is punishable and may be a criminal offense.

" ... the United States may be hoping to protect the interests of American tech companies, but that doesn’t mean it’s wrong about the threat of Chinese spying. That’s real, and laid out in the open: Just look at China’s 2017 National Intelligence Law.
The N.I.L. is no standard security and spying legislation, concerned principally with preventing the leak of state secrets. Its main thrust isn’t protective; it’s proactive.
“All organizations and citizens shall support, assist and cooperate with national intelligence efforts according to the Law,”
it says. (I know of no official English version; this is my translation, based partly on several others.) Another provision is even more explicit: The state institutions tasked with enforcing the N.I.L. — which also oversee all intelligence and espionage activities, civilian and military —
“may demand that relevant organs, organizations and citizens provide necessary support, assistance and cooperation.” Spying for the state is a duty of the citizens and corporations of China under the law, much like paying taxes.
The N.I.L. offers enticements for compliance:
“The state gives commendations and rewards to individuals and organizations that make major contributions to national intelligence efforts.” In its January indictment against Huawei, the United States claims that the company systematically gives bonuses to employees who pilfer intellectual property from foreign companies.
The N.I.L. leaves little room for opting out. “Obstructing the work” of China’s intelligence institutions is punishable and may be a criminal offense.
Those institutions are entitled to “have priority use of, or can lawfully requisition the transportation or communications tools, premises and buildings of state organs, organizations or individuals”
— and “when necessary,” set up “relevant work sites and equipment within them.” In other words, installing a back door in Huawei hardware to collect foreign intelligence would have a firm basis under Chinese law.

in order to fully grasp the ramifications of what has been exposed, it is necessary to take a deeper look at the components of the law that governs ALL 2 million individuals named.
On June 28, 2017 Quartz reported on the Chinese pieced of Legislation that went into effect that day:
By Quartz Staff
June 28, 2017
"China’s new spying law goes into effect today (June 28), after it was hastily passed by the legislature.
In a nutshell, the National Intelligence Law gives authorities sweeping powers to monitor and investigate foreign and domestic individuals and institutions. It allows Chinese intelligence agencies to search premises, seize property, and mobilize individuals or organizations to carry out espionage. It also gives intelligence agencies legal ground to carry out their work both in and outside China. Those violating the law will be subject to detention of up to 15 days, and can be charged with a crime.
The law is the first that governs China’s secret police system, which comprises the Ministry of National Security and the Internal Security Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security. The two government organs, known as guoan and guobao respectively, used to mostly just follow existing ministry documents.
The new law is part of a slew of legislation focusing on state security enacted in recent years under president Xi Jinping. China’s top legislature, the National People’s Congress (NPC), passed a national security law in 2014, followed by ones involving or targeting counter-terrorism, counter-espionage, foreign non-profits, and cybersecurity. During the same period, the crackdown on dissidents and civil society has grown harsher. Critics fear even greater surveillance under the new law, but Beijing says it is appropriate for its national security concerns.
The NPC passed the intelligence law on June 27, after only two rounds of discussions—a relatively expedited process rarely used on new laws. State news agency Xinhua subsequently released the full text of the law (link in Chinese). Some issues for concern include:
Article 11: National intelligence work institutions shall lawfully collect and process relevant intelligences on foreign bodies, organizations and individuals engaged in, or inciting or assisting others to engage in, or domestic bodies, organizations and individuals who collude with foreign bodies, organizations or individuals to engage in harm to the national security and interests of the People’s Republic of China, in order to provide intelligence as a reference and basis and reference for preventing, curbing and punishing the above acts.
Article 12: National intelligence work institutions may, according to relevant state regulations, establish cooperative relationships with relevant individuals and organizations, and commission them to carry out related work.
Article 14: National intelligence work institutions, when carrying out intelligence work according to laws, may ask relevant institutions, organizations and citizens to provide necessary support, assistance and cooperation.
The law, which contains only 32 articles, remains general and board compared to its Western equivalents. China also lacks applicable laws for privacy and personal data protections. It is unclear how much legal oversight Chinese intelligence agencies are subject to.
In May, the New York Times reported that the Chinese government killed or imprisoned over a dozen CIA informants in China between 2010 and 2012, citing current and former American officials. China’s top state newspaper, the People’s Daily, derided the story as a “spy novel.”

the point being ... EACH one of those 1.95 million named? EACH one of the "assistants", nominees, personal drivers for the span of decades to some of our top elected officials
are REQUIRED by LAW to spy
and are subject to criminal prosecution for failure to do so
this needs to be understood CLEARLY in order to understand exactly WHAT has taken place in our government due to OUR negligence in exercising our RIGHT of oversight ...
