Even if there were no humans on planet Earth the climate will change anyway that is a given ... it is called: "4 Seasons" and it happens for millions of years ... Four seasons happen because of the tilt of the Earth's axis (23,5 degrees to be exact). At different times of the year, the sun's rays hit different parts of the globe more directly .... On top of that, we have every 11 years Cyclical Solar Storms affecting the climate of ALL Planets in our Solar System! ... Like having more Earth Quakes & much more Volcano Activities on the whole planet! It is the natural beauty of winter with snow as a wild card.
Snow had already fallen twice, but it didn't hold up and today was the third time in Alsace.

Obviously if we go to the heights in the Vosges, we will be able to do sky,
Since I have been in Alsace, it will be the second time that I see snow that holds the road and that at the end of the day, there is nothing left.
I really enjoyed it today, I had fun like a child. You also have to appreciate life as it presents itself in the here and now. The part of the real, in our daily life, we need this close contact.

The snow is beautiful when it falls and I think it is even more beautiful when the snow is long in coming, it is a part of resourcing inner well-being that is priceless, just enjoying its beauty that sends us a message when everything is white, it inspires us to calm, to inner peace. A therapy by nature, connected to this white expanse, to empty oneself and to let oneself penetrate into consciousness, without thinking about the consequences of a topicality on edge. The snow becomes a miracle, or even an angel through its resemblance, the mirror effect ..

Thankfully, our climate is always changing--from the beginning (who knows how long ago that was?), it's been in a state of constant flux, and Mother Earth has the ability to right herself and correct man's errs in a most significant and powerful way.

We live in interesting times, but was also live in beautiful times.

I did not understand John inserting the video on global warming, I think we are all aware of this climate issue.
But what does it have to do with sharing photos on the snow?
It has been at least four years since we had snow in Alsace.
I suppose that in the Netherlands you have snow in Winter? and that the idea of ​​sharing this moment with a photo?
My darling told me, in his youth there was often snow in Alsace, which is close to Switzerland and Germany.
I don't believe the chemtrail trails are the cause of all this snow, .
This morning, the landscape was all white, there was indeed in some places at least 10 centimeters of snow. It snowed again last night and should last according to the weather forecast until Monday

In Romania last winter there was no snow at all and the children could not enjoy it.
This year it is snowing all over the country and many are really enjoying it.I think the snow layer is already 40 cm high.

I will have to go in the morning to remove the snow from each branch of the fruit trees, otherwise the branches will break from the weight and I will not have fruit in the summer.

These pictures are amazing. Winter is by far my favourite season and I couldn't be further from the action geographically speaking. I've had my fair share of extreme summers in outback OZ and so few moments in the snow but I hope to close the gap.

Love this picture in particular, it looks like it would be super cold and a bit of wind? Heaven for me.

We must have gotten hit by the same storm. I think it just stopped snowing. We got about 15 cmm and its blowing everywhere so some snow drifts are huge. So happy that we got a new 4x4 that easily got us to the post office today!

In winter in Romania, it used to be very cold, now it is less cold and the ground is warm and the snow melts quickly.
I live 2 miles away on a huge river, and I went down to the water, what impressed me is that the water is warm, meaning it is not as cold as in other years.

Anyway, I'm glad that in a "temperate climate" declared as a location, we still have the good fortune to feel the winter.

That wasn't the worst of it. All in all we got about another 6 inches, but this time there was strong winds and it drifted. I just ran out of firewood, and I need it delivered to the front of the shed (in the 3rd pic I posted the far addition part is where the wood goes), and the only access is behind the shed from the driveway (that you can see in the other pics). I have to shovel out about 60' the width for a pickup to get though, and it rained several times just before snowing so a lot of it is hard and crusty ... got about 1/3 of it done today, but the wood guy won't come till its done, and its about to get cold ... so I'll be back at it tomorrow ... I guess I should get some pics, as this is supposed to be a picture thread ...

Re crazy-low temperatures, this might make one pause just a little. :) Back in 1967, three climbers survived for 6 days and nights in a snow cave and then all made it down in one piece — just! — with their colleagues a little lower down the mountain having assumed the worst. It's hailed as one of the finest mountaineering books ever written.

Don't have a pic but yesterday I had to rescue 2 of my friends and 3 dogs who were stuck in a Snow drift on their way to their cabijn in the middle of the woods. Pretty interesting trying to get them out and myself not getting stuck . But my pyrangello plowing skills prevailed and we all made it out of the woods ok. Was minus 5 this morning here and headed that way again tonight. Great pics , keep them coming.

Calgary has a -34C in their forecast for Wednesday night - and its always windy there so that will be below -40c (-40F) with the windchill. Here in the BC interior we'll be getting -31C Wednesday night, so that polar front is hitting us here as well.
Re crazy-low temperatures, this might make one pause just a little. :) Back in 1967, three climbers survived for 6 days and nights in a snow cave and then all made it down in one piece — just! — with their colleagues a little lower down the mountain having assumed the worst. It's hailed as one of the finest mountaineering books ever written.

After two attempts at snow, the third is good, the children will still be able to go sledding or snowmen. This time it's much colder -7, everything is still white, like almost a month ago.
