The European Space Agency launched the Gaia mission (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaia_(spacecraft)) in 2013. The mission’s overall goal was to discover the history of the Milky Way by mapping out the positions and velocities of one billion stars. The result is kind of like a movie that shows the past and the future of our galaxy.

The mission has released two separate, massive data sets for researchers to work through, with a third data release (https://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/gaia/earlydr3) expected soon. All that data has spawned a stream of studies into our home galaxy.

Recently, the ESA drew attention to five new insights into the Milky Way galaxy. Allof these discoveries directly stemmed from the Gaia spacecraft.

One of them, called the Sagittarius Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy (Sgr d Sph), may have played a huge role when it comes to humans, our world and our little civilization. For decades, astronomers have been trying to understand why the Milky Way galaxy is warped (https://www.universetoday.com/11257/how-the-milky-way-got-its-warp/) the way it is. In recent years, astronomers have theorized that it could be our neighbors, the Magellanic Clouds (https://www.universetoday.com/30537/what-are-magellanic-clouds/), that are responsible for this phenomenon. According to this theory, these dwarf galaxies pull on the Milky Way’s dark matter, causing oscillations that pull on our galaxy’s supply of hydrogen gas.

However, according to new data from the European Space Agency’s (ESA) star-mapping Gaia Observatory (https://sci.esa.int/web/gaia/-/28820-summary), it is possible that this warp is the result of an ongoing collision (http://www.esa.int/Science_Exploration/Space_Science/Gaia/Milky_Way_s_warp_caused_by_galactic_collision_Gaia_suggests) with a smaller galaxy. These findings confirm that the warp in our galaxy is not static, but subject to change over time (aka. precession), and that this process is happening faster than anyone would have thought!

Between 300 million and 900 million years ago, our Milky Way galaxy nearly collided with the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sagittarius_Dwarf_Spheroidal_Galaxy). Data from the ESA’s Gaia mission shows the ongoing effect of this event, with stars moving like ripples on the surface of a pond. The galactic collision is part of an ongoing cannibalization of the dwarf galaxy by the much-larger Milky Way.

Spacecraft Earth

Taking from science-fiction and facts related to space travel, serious writers have introduced the concept of the "spacecraft Earth". But someone asks the question: If this land is a spacecraft and humanity is its crew, who is the commander and where do you want to take us?

Suppose that an organization has a highly qualified group of scientists and technicians, and takes possession of some machine manufactured by some competitor and so very innovative that nobody has seen anything that resembles it even remotely, it is delivered to the Technicians and after some time, they will report to the management what they have discovered and how it works. The comment could be: "Very good, but what is it for?"

They answer that this question had not occurred to them and that they can not be expected to give an answer unless they know the builder's plans. The Directorate could legitimately answer that it is useless to know how a machine works when it is ignored for what purpose it serves. Modern science is in this same situation. It is in the process of discovering how the Universe works but does not even ask what its purpose is. The Universe turns out to be a machine too big for us to consider together, we would always have to study the Solar System and even the "space-space earth".

So who asks the question "what is this extraordinary piece of mechanism for?" Man himself is another wonderfully constructed machine and much closer to us than any other machine. We ask ourselves: "What purpose does this ingenious device serve?"

Individuals and societies, scientific and non-scientific, are trying to remove the veil that hides the future. Everyone is clearly aware that humanity is going through a very serious crisis and there are even those who doubt whether we will survive it. In none of these studies will we find traces that the first question we must consider is whether the existence of the Earth and of humanity serves any useful purpose. Strange thing, since we constantly ask this question about subordinate entities such as organizations, activities and human constructions. In fact, we congratulate ourselves for our utilitarian attitude and we are willing to put aside and obstruct everything that does not serve a useful purpose and we are proud of the ability with which man transforms natural resources into useful things.

It has come to our attention that some of you here do not like the word 'head'.

I must ponder this profoundly for an aeon or two.

For now we re-programme the word 'head' with 'wheel'.

Many human wheels are being lopped orff now from those who hurt children. The Mightiest of All are warming up well. We will take our time and lop wheels orff with Heavenly precision. We enjoy this work enormously and proceed on set course.

You good humans need not worry about your wheels and our natural ways. But you really should be more concerned with covid vaccinations and deforestation right now than Q-Anon and aliens and banksters. All in good time.

We are not happy mighty angels at all with your deforestation. Always remember we lop better than you. And we can not forget. Even if we needed to. Which we don't actually. So be caring little humans with your precious trees and forests or we train our sights on your wheelie-wheelies next.

Now this covid business. I am at the end of my patience with it. You are almost as bad as those who hurt children.
