In this lecture, Dr. Russell Blaylock explains one of the most important connections between nutrition and our health- how nutrition affects our behavior. Citing a series of important studies, he shows that good nutrition can powerfully enhance our memory, mood, and behavior in a socially desirable way. Like wise he shows us that poor nutrition can lead our youth into a world of violence, crime, depression and suicide. By using an impressive array of studies on both juvenile and adult prisoners, Dr. Blaylock demonstrates these principals and outlines specific measures you can take to protect your children from these detrimental effects. Most importantly, he shows us that it is never too late to make these nutritional changes

We have a friend whose nephew is having trouble concentrating. He gets in trouble at school, etc. Attention deficiet, scream the doctors! The family gives the poor boy Ritalin. We try to advise in a gentle, guiding way, citing Dr. Blaylocks work among others. The child's neurological system is fried. He only eats junk, the worst of the worst. Think the family even remotely considers our advice? "But the doctor said.........". F*** the doctor, this is your child's brain we're talking about!!! Who knows the possible long term effects of these dangerous drugs? Couple that with his very poor nutrient intake and he's likely screwed for life. Very sad.

I feel your frustration conk. I also try to advise people about how eating certian foods and eating habbits can improve their situation, but they invest all their faith in doctors who, in general, know absolutely nothing about health. They also fail to observe how their situation is never improving, yet they still think doctors know what they are talking about.
There are a few good doctors out there, but from my perspective, doctors are only good for tending to certian injuries, like a broken arm for example.

We had an interesting experience with food and behaviour last month. Husband and I are with a big being in a little body who graciously blessed us with the opportunity to experience parenthood... Well, we were at a local restaurant with a family member who chose the restaurant and of course, they don't have a single scrap of anything organic. The little One snatched some sweet potato chips off the table and shoved them in her mouth. She turned into an absolute monster within a couple of minutes. By the time we arrived back at the house, she threw up big time.
Now this little girl has only ever had water without sodium fluoride, organic fruits and veggies, zero refined sugar, etc. We have been VERY careful with everything with her. All I can guess is it was her first experience with MSG.
May it never be repeated!!

Thank you conk -- very very sad. My kids went to school in the 90's when Ritalin was so horribly over-prescribed. I was 'encouraged' (once by a doctor and once by a teacher) to get both of them on it, but fortunately I'd learned enough to know better. I was always amazed at parents who fed their kids a breakfast of Frosted Flakes, Pop-Tarts, and Mountain Dew, and then said, my kid is jumpy in class, better get him on that Ritalin stuff.
It hurts to say it, but it seems like most doctors are simply pimps for Big Pharma. Or would it be more accurate to say Big Pharma is the pimp, and the doctors turn the tricks? Either way, we're the ones getting screwed.

That's funny :)
Your little girl is VERY lucky to have parents like you.
And undoubtedly will grow up to be a very special individual !!!
If only the world had more parents like you we wouldn't be in such dire straits.

On a smaller scale I did the same with the last two puppys I brought home .
Fed them real food .
They received puppy shots from the lady I got them from but no vaccines after that .
They have never been "FIXED" . Two beautiful quick thinking well trained dogs who a couple different times ate some processed food an got sick .
They both eat dehydrated kale an raw carrots as snacks . lol
Have a co worker who drinks tea with aspartamine in it an complains of headaches . I convinced her to drink water only for 2 days . The headaches went away but she missed the tea (her words) so much that she is back on it an the headaches are back . I gave up .
