A friend sent this to me and I took the time to watch it. As a boomer who grew up in the USA the culture of 50's and 60's was the basis of my early life. Our clan arrived here in the new world in 1632 from the UK so I guess I have that white privilege as I grew up in middle class suburbia. I was entering puberty about the time JFK was wacked about a mile from where I live now. I lived through VM war and the civil rights movement. I survived peace, love and dope. I believe in the founding principles of this country but I also know the nature of man has never changed. So if I were to believe what I was taught about our country that we were founded to free ourselves from tyranny and oppression into liberty and freedom according to our bill of rights and declaration of independence. It's been a nice run and we are right on schedule for returning to oppression and tyranny. Pretty depressing if you ask me. I'm almost done but I look at my 5 grandkids and don't feel too good about their futures after all isn't family pretty much all you will ever have?
