The Darien Gap is a crucial yet perilous passage for migrants traveling from South America to North America that acts as a natural barrier (where, for 60 miles, the Pan-American highway ends and deadly jungle begins) that saw over half a million migrants traverse its challenging terrain last year alone.

"You wonder why there's not a permanent team of New York Times reporters there trying to tell the rest of us what exactly is happening."

Through their journey, Weinstein and Yon uncovered a complex narrative involving not political asylum-seekers, but economic migrants and potentially orchestrated movements that appear coordinated by various NGOs and, of particular concern, the Chinese migrant camps they encountered.

But, the supranational authorities were all evident:

"You see, the hallmark of the international community. You see NGO emblems all over the place, proudly American flags. They've paid for the water system, the toilets that are there. The United States government is facilitating this economic migration. And it's unmistakable, as is an organization called the IOM, which is the International Organization for Migration. It's a branch of the UN.

And if you read their charter, you will discover that this organization believes that migration is an inherently good thing, that it's always good. And so they see it as their job to bring it about to facilitate it.

And in this case, that's particularly tragic because their desire to induce people to migrate is causing people who are woefully unprepared for the Darien Gap to try to make that journey. And, the the humanitarian tragedy is, is immense."

Weinstein then pivoted to contrast that experience with a second one, highlighting for Carlson how it had been "built as a transit camp" for "almost" all Chinese migrants.

"The SENAFRONT, the Panamanian border control, actually forbid us to go into the camp. So we had to stay on the outside of it. We were also forbidden to photograph it. So what photographs we have were taken covertly," Weinstein explained.

"These, Chinese folks who are overwhelmingly male, military age... It is not a friendly migration... This felt like people who did not want to share information, because it would be a mistake to do so."

Weinstein criticizes the lack of distinction made between political refugees and economic migrants at the US border, suggesting that the current policy framework is inadvertently supporting an unsustainable and potentially exploitative system.

The two major takeaways for me from this were Weinstein's hypotheses that


There's an invasion (by Chinese military-aged men) which is being masked by a simultaneous genuine migration (whether or not that migration is a good thing). The latter makes the former harder to distinguish.

Let's assume it is all done the way Kim Dotcom suggested in his tweet on X ... How many Police/Military/FBI agents are needed to do it in such a way that there are no severe "incidents" like: violence and other horrific possibilities? ... Why not using a very big boat and do it that way? ... An airplane can crash when hijacked! ... A boat may be much easier to prepare for all kinds of security issues.

The Center for American Progress (CAP), a far-left think tank founded by current Biden climate envoy John Podesta, published a policy blueprint in 2013 laying out how the Democratic Party should capitalize on the 11 million “undocumented immigrants” in the United States.

The CAP’s policy analysis argued that giving illegal immigrants a “pathway to citizenship” was the only way for the Democratic Party to “maintain electoral strength in the future.”

“Getting right on immigration and getting behind real and enduring immigration reform that contains a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants living in our country is the only way to maintain electoral strength in the future,” the policy analysts Philip E. Wolgin and Ann Garcia argued.

Arguing that “demographics is destiny,” the authors explain how the Democratic Party can take over red states one at a time. Their state-by-state analysis is modeled on the immigration wave that helped the Democratic Party take over California and turn it into a one-party state.

“As we move into the congressional debate on immigration reform, we should remember that the political shifts that have opened a space for reform—grounded in demographic changes—were not a phenomenon that debuted in 2012,” the CAP argues. “These changes began in the mid-1990s, when anti-immigrant politics in California helped turn the state reliably blue.”

“And as our nation moves toward a point where by 2043 we will have no clear racial or ethnic majority, 11 other states such as Arizona, Texas, North Carolina, and even Georgia are also reaching demographic tipping points,” the policy paper continues. “Whether or not these states turn blue in the future has a lot to do with how politicians in both parties act and what they talk about on the subject of immigration reform.”

The CAP’s funders read like a who’s who of power players: Bloomberg Philanthropies, Carnegie Corporation of New York, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, Arnold Ventures, Ford Foundation, Microsoft Corporation, Bank of America, Mastercard Worldwide, Verizon, Wells Fargo & Co, and many more.

The Biden administration has since raided the Center for American Progress for top policy analysts, as explained in a 2022 Fox News report.

“The Center for American Progress, a leading progressive think tank, has a large influence on federal policymaking with many of its former employees flocking to high-level administration roles,” the report states.

“The think tank’s extensive influence in the Biden administration was on particular display in an April 2021 email exchange between Christy Goldfuss, CAP’s senior vice president for energy and environment policy, and Jesse Young, a senior State Department adviser,” the report continues.

“You all keep taking our good people … so it’s safe to say that I’m a little behind,” Goldfuss told Young in the email.

President Biden hired CAP founder and chairman John Podesta as a senior White House clean energy czar in 2022, where he was tasked with managing roughly $370 billion in climate spending appropriated by the Inflation Reduction Act.

Podesta was hired in late January as the Biden administration’s top climate envoy, replacing outgoing climate envoy John Kerry. Neither John Kerry nor John Podesta are climate scientists, but lifelong political operatives.

“Mr. Podesta, 75, will take on that international role in addition to his current White House job overseeing $370 billion in spending on clean energy projects under the landmark 2022 Inflation Reduction Act,” the New York Times reported.

In March, April, and May of 2021, ORR expanded capacity to house another 23,849, including 10,000 at Fort Bliss. DHS was also holding children for a longer period than allowed by law (between 30 and 40 days) and, because the flow of UACs across the border outpaced Health and Human Services’ (HHS) ability to vet adults who can care for the children.

Aug 17, 2021: DHS announced an expansion of alternatives to detention (effectively reinstating and expanding catch and release) and announced the expansion of taxpayer-funded services to illegal aliens in removal proceedings.



Aug 31, 2021: The Biden administration released over 100,000 aliens into the United States between March 21, 2021 and August 31, 2021, without giving these aliens a “Notice to Appear”, instead advising them to self-report to ICE on their own. Of those, nearly 50% of them did not check-in with ICE within the 60-day deadline.



Sep 24, 2021: The Administration falsely accused Border Patrol agents on horseback in Del Rio, Texas of whipping aliens at the border. President Biden condemned the agents, saying the aliens had been “strapped” and vowed “consequences.” Vice President Harris piled on the false allegations, comparing them to oppression and slavery. In fact, DHS Secretary Mayorkas knew the claim was false and even though the agents were exonerated in July 2022, the Administration proposed punishment for the agents.



Sep 30, 2021: DHS Secretary Mayorkas issued a memorandum that states “the fact an individual is a removeable [alien] should [not be the sole] basis of an enforcement action”, effectively using prosecutorial discretion to give deportable aliens a pass to stay in the United States, thereby granting a form of amnesty to many illegal aliens.



Fiscal Year 2021: Throughout Fiscal Year 2021, the Biden Administration distributed more than $300 million in federal law enforcement grants to Sanctuary Cities under SCAAP, Byrne, and COPS programs (amounting to 43% of total awards going to sanctuary cities), financially rewarding cities whose policies encourage illegal immigration.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday dealt a blow to the Biden administration's attempts to keep the US border open - allowing Texas to enforce a new law giving local police the power to arrest migrants.

With three liberal justices dissenting, the conservative-majority court rejected an emergency request by the Biden administration which claimed that states have no authority to legislate on immigration.

The ruling means that Texas' law can go into effect while litigation continues (https://www.zerohedge.com/political/supreme-court-temporarily-blocks-texas-illegal-immigration-law) in lower courts.

The law, SB4, allows police to arrest migrants who illegally cross into the United States from Mexico, and imposes criminal penalties. It also empowers judges to deport people to Mexico.

"Texas is the nation’s first-line defense against transnational violence and has been forced to deal with the deadly consequences of the federal government’s inability or unwillingness to protect the border," Texas argued in court papers.

The dispute is the latest clash between the Biden administration and Texas over immigration enforcement on the U.S.-Mexico border.

A federal judge blocked the law after the Biden administration sued, but the New Orleans-based 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said in a brief order that it could go into effect March 10 if the Supreme Court declined to intervene.

On March 4, Justice Samuel Alito issued a temporary freeze on the law to give the Supreme Court time to consider the federal government’s request. -NBC News

Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar said in court filings that Texas' law is "flatly inconsistent" with Supreme Court precedent dating back 100 years.

"Those decisions recognize that the authority to admit and remove noncitizens is a core responsibility of the national government, and that where Congress has enacted a law addressing those issues, state law is preempted," she said, adding that the appeals court did not explain its reasoning for allowing the law to go into effect.

The new ruling may put a crimp in the Biden administration's seeming plan to flood the country with low-wage labor in an effort to boost GDP, which Democrats now insist would benefit to the tune of $7 trillion thanks to illegal immigrants - who are allowed to work indefinitely whilst waiting for the US immigration system to process their asylum claims.

Recall that 10 million illegals have entered the US under Biden, while virtually all of the job gains under Biden have gone to foreign-born workers, looks like their 'great replacement' theory/scheme has just suffered a swift kick to the huevos.

Is he just bolstering the fake/propaganda line that all the blame falls at Biden's feet, and it's a China influence thing at the back of that etc ?

Fact:

It wasn't 'Joe Biden' or China who made the supreme court stop the Texas Governor ( who probably only did it for the theatrics knowing it would be stopped ) from closing Eagle Pass. The supreme court made the only call it could under the treaty with the United Nations. ( actually it's not a treaty but I can't remember the word for it ).

Similarly, It's not 'Joe Biden' or China that's behind the drive to ban guns, it's the UN.


Why am I bothering the make this point ?

Because all the time the whole country get's it's nickers bunched about Biden, Biden, Biden . . . no one is noticing that the politicians are doing nothing to get the US out of the United Nations. As far as I know, even Trump has been silent about getting out of the UN. Getting out of the United Nations is the biggy. It's bigger than getting out of the W.H.O. even. The WHO will go away with it anyway. The UN even has a back up plan in case the pending WHO treaty gets blocked, it's called the Pact For The Future. You can read it at the UN web site. Basically, a plan for a permanent state of emergency with appointed ex state heads running the whole world with absolute authority.

The panic and fuss the developments are causing, while being focused on the pantomime in US state politics actually serves as a diversion of people power away from the most important political cause they should have, and urgently, get the UN out of the US and get the US out of the UN.

One little saving grace, maybe, depending on how much trust you have in Trump, is that it only takes a letter from a state leader to the UN saying goodbye we are out of here because you've changed the nature of the UN structure and mission since we signed up, and it's all over and done with.

What's the chance of that ?

That Musk tweet above doesn't inspire much hope that HE's on the case.

For example, someone from Azerbajan may fly from Istanbul to Newark, and then journey to another US location.

Reminder: The CHNV parole program, created by the Biden admin in January 2023, allows up to 30,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, & Venezuela to bypass the southern border entirely, and fly into the U.S. directly from foreign countries for a two year humanitarian parole grant if they have a sponsor in the U.S., and are vetted/approved for travel. The flights are commercial, and are not funded by taxpayers. The program recipient or their sponsor pays for it, and the parole grant allows the recipient to apply to work. The Biden admin considers the program a "lawful pathway", and the migrants flying into the U.S. via the program are not included in the southern border numbers.

According to CBP data, at least 404,000 migrants have flown into the U.S. via the CHNV parole program since it first began:

154,000 Haitians
95,000 Venezuelans
84,000 Cubans
69,000 Nicaraguans

So far, legal challenges to this controversial parole program have failed in court. A Texas lawsuit was dismissed earlier this year after a judge ruled the state didn't have standing to sue. More lawsuits are pending.

The Biden admin says the program is a lawful use of executive parole authority. They consider the program a success, and believe it provides an incentive to not cross the US border illegally. The numbers of Haitians and Cubans crossing illegally have steeply fallen as a result of the program.

Critics say the program essentially waves a magic wand to mass import hundreds of thousands of otherwise inadmissible migrants into the US, with the likelihood of them ever leaving or being deported if they stay past the permitted parole grant being remarkably low.

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Migrants are coming into Florida at high rates, according to documents from the Department of Homeland Security

The law dates back to 1952, but President Joe Biden expanded it last year and has made more use of it than any other president.

From January through August last year, roughly 200,000 migrants flew into the U.S. via the program. 80% of them arrived in the state of Florida.

Governor Ron DeSantis's office says the program is illegal, so much so that the state is suing President Biden in hopes to get the program shut down.
There's certain criteria to take advantage of the parole program.

Migrants who come from Cuba, Nicaragua, Haiti, and Venezuela must pass a background check, have a sponsor from the U.S. and prove that parole is warranted to be able to fly into U.S. ports of entry.

If approved, migrants receive work permits and are allowed to stay in the country for two years.

A majority of those migrants landed in the Sunshine State, according to subpoenaed documents from the DHS.

Of roughly 200,000 migrants who came to the U.S. through the program from January to August of last year, miami topped the list with more than 91,000. Fort Lauderdale came in second place with a little more than 60,000.

Orlando had just over 6,000 and Tampa had a little more than 3,200.

"Governments are breaking apart across the world and they wanna come to America," Senator Doug Broxson said. "In normal circumstances, there's a way that we can accommodate them. But to have the numbers we're having come through Texas and Arizona and really now Florida through some of these renegade nations is more than we can handle."

Representative Matt Gaetz in a statement wrote in part: "It's no surprise that Joe Biden and Secretary Mayorkas's open-boarder policies particularly harm Floridians. I am extremely worried about the potential influx of illegals overtime in Northwest Florida at the hands of the Biden administration."

In a tweet, Senator Rick Scott called it an "absurd loophole" and says it's a threat to national security and safety of Floridians.

"A lot of these people coming from south America are catholic, are protestants," Broxson said. "It's not that they're bad people, but we cannot handle the overflow and that pains me and pains a lot of people. But it also makes us believe there's a better way."

Broxson says look at sanctuary cities like New York and Chicago as an example of what could happen in the future.

"It's breaking their financial back," he said. "Imagine what's happening in Texas, where many of these people stay in Texas and they're in homeless shelters or encampments. We can't do this."

"We can't sustain that with a $35 trillion debt," he added. "We just cannot open up the bank and say we're gonna take care of the whole world. We can't possibly do it."
Broxson says congress needs to work together to find a more humane and sustainable solution.

"It's like your family," he said. "If you have a three-bedroom house and you've got 50 people that wanna live there, you can't support that. I mean there's no way you can support it. That's what's happening. We have a limited amount of space, jobs and resources. And we've got 10 people to every one around the world that wants to come and live the great American dream. Well there won't be an American dream if we don't have some organized way with dealing with population expansion."

"In a surprise victory with potential implications for the Biden administration, José Mulino was elected president of Panama May 5 on a platform that included closing the Darién Gap to migrants on their way to the U.S. southern border.

During a May 6 interview with a Colombian radio program, the populist president-elect reiterated his vow to repatriate migrants coming into Panama while shutting down what has become a major route for illegal migration.
“When repatriation begins here, those who try to arrive will think twice because they will not have an easy destination because they will be transferred to their countries of origin,” Mr. Mulino said.

“At no point do I say that this will be an easy action, but it will be a firm decision, with the purpose of making it known that we are not sponsoring that [migration] here and that we are going to put a stop to it.”

Todd Bensman, senior national security fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies, believes Mr. Mulino’s promise to shut down the Darién Gap could become embarrassing for President Joe Biden, who rescinded Trump-era policies meant to curtail illegal immigration in favor of open borders.

“The thing to watch here, I think, is how the administration manages to oppose something good for America and that most Americans would love to see happen,” Mr. Bensman told The Epoch Times.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken congratulated Mr. Mulino on his victory, adding that controlling migration is one of the countries’ shared goals.

“I look forward to continuing our strategic partnership and advancing our shared goals of democratic governance and inclusive economic prosperity,” Mr. Blinken said in a May 6 statement.

“Looking ahead, the United States will continue to work with Panama on our common goals of inclusive, sustainable economic growth, bolstering citizen security, and cooperatively curbing irregular migration through the Darién.”

Spanish media outlets reported that Mr. Mulino joked on the campaign trail about getting help with some “cement” for a wall in the Darién Gap should former President Donald Trump return to the White House.
The Trump campaign declined to comment, citing the need to first see a full transcript of Mr. Mulino’s comments.

Panama’s Cinderella Candidate
Mr. Mulino won nearly 35 percent of the votes in a four-way race with more than 92 percent of the votes counted, giving him a nine-point lead over his nearest competitor.
He takes office July 1 for a five-year term.

He faced off against Ricardo Lombana, an anti-corruption candidate who trailed in second, as well as former President Martín Torrijos and former foreign minister Rómulo Roux.

Outgoing President Laurentino Cortizo called Mr. Mulino to offer congratulations and pledged to work with him for an orderly transition. Constitutional term limits prohibited President Cortizo from serving a second consecutive term.

In an unusual turn of events, Mr. Mulino, who ran under the Achieving Goals and Alliance parties, replaced candidate and former president, Ricardo Martinelli, late in the race.

Mr. Mulino had been tapped as Mr. Martinelli’s running mate, but took his place after the latter was sentenced to a decade in prison for money laundering and barred from running.

Mr. Martinelli backed Mr. Mulino from the Nicaraguan Embassy, where he has been living since early February when he was granted asylum.

Mr. Mulino, a 64-year-old attorney, served as minister of security in President Martinelli’s 2009 to 2014 administration.

He first served as minister of the interior and justice; eventually taking the reins of the public security office.

One of his achievements during that time was to “recover” a section of the Darién Gap that “was in the hands of the narco-guerrillas” of neighboring Colombia.

Besides mass migration, Panama’s new president must deal with a lackluster economy, a drought impacting the Panama Canal, and the economic impact surrounding the shutdown of a copper mine for environmental reasons.

As president, Mr. Mulino will have the power to stop a massive flow of migrants streaming through the treacherous jungle passage.

“It’s a bottleneck, so the Panamanians actually have tremendous control over the volumes of people coming through there,” Mr. Bensman said.

He likened the situation to the showdown between the Biden administration and Texas, with the state trying to curtail hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants crossing from Mexico.

The Biden administration filed lawsuits to cut the razor wire installed by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott on the Texas side of the Rio Grande River meant to deter illegal immigrant crossings.

Likewise, it has sued Texas over a law allowing state lawmen to arrest and deport illegal immigrants that remains tied up in court.

Similar optics aimed at Panama’s efforts to shut down the Darién Gap could prove awkward, Mr. Bensman said.

“What are they going to say?” he asked. “We don’t want you to do it?”

Darién Gap Debacle
Last year alone, 500,000 migrants made the trek through the dangerous jungle terrain to arrive in migrant camps in Panama run by nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and the United Nations (U.N.).
Panama’s former border director, Oriel Ortega, told The Epoch Times in February that the NGOs and the U.N. should educate and help migrants in their own countries instead of facilitating mass migration.

The Epoch Times visited all four migrant camps in the Darién Gap in February, speaking with migrants from China, Somalia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, and others who hiked out of the passage leading from Colombia into Panama.

At the Lajas Blancas camp, migrants have access to a number of large maps provided by NGOs and U.N. agencies that display detailed migration routes heading to the United States.

One map from HIAS showed the migration route from Colombia to Costa Rica, including bus stops, temperatures, altitudes, and “migration kiosk” locations.

HIAS was founded as the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society but now assists all migrants.

One poster prominently displayed the U.S. and European flags, along with the U.N.’s Unicef symbol.

“Thanks to the support of the United States Government co-financed by the European Union Humanitarian aid,” the Spanish-language sign said when translated to English.

Left-wing groups see the camps and helping migrants on their route as a humanitarian venture.

Groups such as Human Rights Watch have cast doubt on Panama’s ability to completely close the Gap and fear it would force migrants to find alternative, more dangerous routes.

“Whatever the reason for their journey, migrants and asylum-seekers crossing the Darién Gap are entitled to basic safety and respect for their human rights along the way,” Juanita Goebertus, Americas director of Human Rights Watch, told The Associated Press.

Former Border Patrol chief Rodney Scott is now a senior fellow for border security at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.
He served as the chief of the U.S. Border Patrol at the end of the Trump administration through the first eight months of the Biden administration in 2021.
He told The Epoch Times that while the Biden administration and others on the left may see helping migrants on their journey to the United States as compassionate, it has proven to be just the opposite.

By making it easier to migrate, millions of people have been exposed to the ugly consequences, he said.

Death, rape, murder, human trafficking, and illicit drugs make up the dark underbelly of the illegal immigration crisis, he said.

Shutting down the Darién Gap could be a game changer in stopping illegal migration and saving thousands of lives, Mr. Scott said.

He said even if Panama’s new president can’t totally shut down the migration route, his vow to do so could deter migration.

“Just like at the beginning of the Trump administration, cross-border illegal activity dropped tremendously just on the rhetoric,” Mr. Scott said.

It’s not surprising that mass illegal immigration isn’t popular in Panama, just as it’s not popular in the United States, where people want to feel safe and expect immigration laws to be upheld, he said.

Americans living along the U.S.–Mexican border generally support border security regardless of ethnicity, he said.

“That this is a big issue for people [in Panama] does not come as a surprise to me, just like here in the United States,” Mr. Scott said.

Powerful NGOs
But the massive infrastructure built by the NGOs in Panama, along with the billions of U.S. tax dollars given to these organizations, could prove it difficult to stop, Mr. Bensman said.

“You have NGOs that have become fat with riches on this crisis,” he said. “Those NGOs have become politically influential in Panama because this is just great for [their] business.”

The Epoch Times knocked on multiple U.N. agency doors at the City of Knowledge complex while in Panama in an unsuccessful attempt to interview officials with the U.N. and HIAS concerning their operation in the camps.

Amy Pope, director general for the U.N.’s International Organization for Migration (IOM) served as President Biden’s senior adviser on migration and as deputy Homeland Security adviser to President Barack Obama.

“The evidence is overwhelming that migration, when well-managed, is a major contributor to global prosperity and progress,” Ms. Pope said during an appeal for money earlier this year to assist migration efforts.

Mr. Bensman said Panama’s president-elect could theoretically “boot them out of the country” and shut down the NGO-run migrant camps.

Trying to deport hundreds of thousands of migrants would be expensive and probably not possible without U.S. help, he said.

But if the United States redirected the billions of dollars currently funneled to the NGOs and the U.N., it would likely fund a massive deportation, Mr. Bensman said.

Mr. Bensman, who has written two books on the border crisis, said airlifts using U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) could probably get the job done using the migrant camps as bases.

“In an ideal, normal world, Americans would find this as an incredible twist of fortune,” he said.

Chaos and Control
Experts have said hostile regimes are using illegal immigration to collapse the U.S. border and create chaos.
Mass migration is being “weaponized” to overwhelm and destabilize the United States and ultimately break it apart, according to Joseph Humire, who studies unconventional warfare and is the executive director of the Center for a Secure Free Society.

Mr. Scott said the different outcomes of border policies set under presidents Trump and Biden offer a sharp contrast.

In fiscal year 2023, border authorities apprehended a record 3.2 million illegal immigrants, far exceeding any volume in the past.

As Border Patrol chief under President Biden, Mr. Scott said he and his staff briefed the new administration on which policies worked to slow illegal immigration. Still, he said, Biden’s team was only interested in how to speed up the processing of illegal immigrants before releasing them.

“We explained to them that you’re literally pulling your finger out of the dike. We warned them all this was going to happen,” he said.

“Every one of those conversations got shut down in seconds anytime we talked about protecting America.”

During a May 7 visit to Guatemala, Mr. Blinken discussed the Los Angeles Declaration on Migration and Protection, which was signed by the United States and Latin American countries in 2022 to “create the conditions for safe, orderly, humane, and regular migration and to strengthen frameworks for international protection and cooperation.”

“Since then, together, we have partnered to transform our hemisphere’s approach to this truly historic challenge,” Mr. Blinken said during a speech.

“We’ve taken meaningful steps to expand lawful migration pathways as an alternative to irregular migration, to improve enforcement efforts, to support host communities, to strengthen protections for vulnerable populations.”

Meanwhile, on May 8, the Republican-led House passed The Equal Representation Act along party lines that would require the Census to include a checkbox to indicate whether the respondent and each household member is a U.S. citizen.

The bill mandates that only citizens be counted for apportionment of seats in the House of Representatives and Electoral College votes.
President Trump signed an executive order for the 2020 Census to include only American citizens, but it was blocked after left-wing civil rights groups sued, arguing the order violated the Census Act, the Enumeration Clause, and the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.

Counting noncitizens skews the representative form of government, Mr. Scott said.

“Only Americans should be determining the future of America,” he said.

As the nation’s largest southern border crossings finally receive mainstream media coverage years into an unprecedented illegal immigration crisis, untold numbers of “fighting age males” dressed in military uniforms are entering the United States through remote areas with no Border Patrol presence. It is a palpable security lapse unlikely to be reported by most news outlets and local, federal, and state law enforcement sources have provided Judicial Watch with detailed accounts, reports, diagrams, and photos of the situation which is terrorizing residents in a once harmonious Arizona town just a few miles from Mexico. They blame the Biden administration’s catastrophic open border policies for the serious problems that have gripped the area in the last few years.

The Santa Cruz and Pima County regions in southwestern Arizona have been slammed with extraordinary violence and crime fueled by Mexican cartels—smuggling drugs and humans—that are victimizing fourth and fifth-generation cattle farmers who have captured thousands of illegal immigrants on security cameras passing through their property since Joe Biden became president. Sometimes they find dead bodies and drug paraphernalia. “Violent activity has drastically increased over the past three years since the border is now perceived to be wide open,” a veteran law enforcement official told Judicial Watch this week, adding that in the communities of Amado and Arivaca American citizens feel much less safe than they did when Donald Trump was president. Both are cattle ranching towns with small populations that are diminishing because of the increased violence. Amado is nestled in the Santa Cruz River Valley about 29 miles from the Mexican border. Arivaca is situated southwest of Amado about 11 miles from Nogales, Mexico.

An unmanned Border Patrol checkpoint east of Arivaca worries residents deeply, but the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has no intention of deploying agents, according to multiple sources. In the meantime, law enforcement officials and residents confirm that young men are pouring in through the region in what appears to be an organized movement operated by Mexican cartels. “They are unemployed, the majority are fighting age males and there is a strong possibility some have undergone some level of insurgency training,” according to a law enforcement source familiar with the situation. The groups of men are usually dressed in “camouflage military uniforms, indicating a robust and well-funded supply network to ensure everyone is outfitted the same,” said an intelligence officer with extensive U.S. military training who provided Judicial Watch with pictures and graphs of recent crossings. The uniformed men also carry camouflaged backpacks and wear carpet booties to hide footprint tracks. Large piles of the disposed carpet booties litter ranches on the U.S. side, creating a hazard for cattle that consume the trash.

One longtime area rancher said that since Biden became president, he has recorded over 3,560 illegal immigrants on security cameras on his property, a tenfold increase from the previous administration. Another said he has not seen a Border Patrol agent for quite a while, likely because the frontline Homeland Security agency is overwhelmed with the onslaught of migrants in the last few years. “They have recommended we not travel to certain areas of our ranch, and we never go out there at night,” said the rancher, who does not want his name used out of fear for the safety of his family. Locals say the violence is causing the already small population of Arivaca to dwindle quickly. A few years ago, the town had 1,200 residents and now there are approximately 600. Authorities say those who leave are mostly relocating north to Green Valley, about 35 miles away, or Tucson which is around 60 miles away. The area has become so dangerous that the U.S. Forest Service told a rancher it would no longer travel there to monitor enclosure areas established to oversee endangered species.

The continuous stream of trash and human waste left behind by the staggering flow of migrants and smugglers has also devastated the local environment and livestock. Besides large piles of discarded carpet booties, mounds of plastic waste are having a detrimental effect on cattle because they eat it and become ill, ranchers said. Many also die after ingesting traces of drugs found in wrappings left behind by smugglers. To help illustrate how porous the border is in this region, one rancher said Mexican cattle regularly cruise into the U.S. side, creating a major risk of introducing illnesses to American cattle that, although inoculated, may be vulnerable to new strains and diseases that may prevail south of the border. “We removed 120 Mexican cattle over the past six months,” said a veteran rancher, who explained that it is a lot of extra work to keep the foreign livestock from mingling with local cattle to prevent unsafe beef being distributed throughout the U.S. food industry.

If Biden gets reelected the situation will likely worsen, say law enforcement officials and residents in the remote Arizona region. Other small towns are also suffering from the impact of this administration’s flagrant open border policies. Just a few months ago Judicial Watch wrote about another once tranquil border region that has been devastated by illegal immigration and drug smuggling. It is situated in Cochise County to the east of Amado and Arivaca in the picturesque Sonoran Desert surrounded by the scenic Huachuca Mountains. Human and drug traffickers regularly evade a meager force of Border Patrol agents in the mountainous region and local law enforcement officials say the addition of the new “American smuggler,” U.S. citizens, predominantly young adults from Phoenix and Tucson recruited by Mexican cartels through social media, has created deadly consequences in the communities where the American recruits often travel at dangerously high speeds through local roads and highways.

Well, my observations from living in a suburban apartment complex of now roughly 80% non-American (based on language), most are male and are about 30 years old. They are Middle Eastern, Indian or Pakistani, and Eastern European. Most are smokers and thin, not athletic looking. They're absolutely glued to their phones, and often purchase fast food and delivered meals. I don't ever see female visitors and wonder how many will have children should they stay in the US. They are without doubt contributing to the depopulation of their native lands.

Most of the Muslim and Indian women I see here, who are in the minority, wear long dresses some with hijabs, and have young children or are with child.

Unlike even five years ago, the parking lots remain relatively full during workdays and have become playgrounds.

The outdoor workers I see appear Mexican (or of that general region) and do lawn work for now while the weather is suitable.

It's only a matter of time before all hell breaks out here in the US. What we are seeing in Britain is minor as to what will happen here.

All it will take is for the gov. to turn off all these invaders bank cards and within a very short time these invaders will become mobs of hungry and desperate nomadic thieves and killers. It'll literally take really large groups of armed civilian's to stop these groups of hundreds or thousands of hungry and dangerous people. That won't go over to well as these psychopaths running this country will side with the rioters.

The top court in the EU just ruled that Hungary shall be fined a whopping €200 million AND a daily €1 million penalty for refusing to open their borders and for having deported people.

Hungary has been one of the few countries in Europe that has not followed the open borders agenda, and now they are being punished for it.

Just for comparison...

It took me 30 years to buy a home at that price.. (It was actually originally under at $121,500, but the interest and payments made the loan over $330k after payoff...) Because wages are an issue in the rural areas of California.

My home is 3 bedroom, one bath, with a laundry room, and 1/3 of an acre... it's quite a decent home for that price and surely, would sell for much more now. But EVEN IF it appraised at $300k-$450k today, in my area, This is the equivalent to a down payment of half to one third of a house similar to mine, and if counted as a 5% down payment? We are looking at them financing a potential 3 million dollar home to someone who is ILLEGALLY residing in California, at the expense of those legallly born and raised here, or living here. Those who could never afford such a home themselves.

So what they're saying is, Come here illegally, buy a very expensive home, (a down payment starts at 5% of the value)... our legal citizens will fund your down payment... and by doing so they themselves will never be able to do the same, as they're taxes are now being used to secure YOUR HOME PURCHASE, versus being given back to those who earned it, so they themselves can have a nice home...

Most working Californians are required to pay that down payment to even "qualify" for the loan itself. (You are not allowed to finance the down payment... Or include that into the loan.. at least when I purchased my home in 1996... )

We better fix this fast, versus moving away... Because those coming here aren't coming here to thrive and make things better, they're running from what they chose not to fix. Thanks Exo. Yes, reading police records is superior to first hand accounts. If more people did that, they would either be reassured or more alarmed, I'm guessing. So much depends on where you live, in terms of the stark reality.

In my neck of the woods, being enraged about anything to do with a specific group, (essential to understanding the nature of, origin of, criminal responsibility of) you were labeled a racist or a conspiracy theorist. Months earlier a U.S. Congressman, who is also a medical doctor, had confirmed that UAC were bringing in serious diseases including swine flu, dengue fever, tuberculosis, and Ebola virus. In a letter to the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Georgia lawmaker, Phil Gingrey, warned of a “severe and dangerous” crisis because the young migrants were importing infectious diseases from Central America that are considered to be largely eradicated in the U.S.
That was over a decade ago under Obama’s weak border policies and, predictably, the problem has worsened significantly during the unprecedented illegal immigration crisis that has gripped the nation under Biden and his laughable border czar, Kamala Harris. Even legal immigrants and refugees—who are required to undergo medical screenings before arriving in the United States—may have latent TB which then progresses to active TB and becomes transmissible once inside the United States.”
TB cases in the U.S. increased by 34% between 2020 and 2023 and the number of TB cases is now higher than pre-pandemic levels in 2019, according to figures in the report. Nationally, 76% of TB cases in 2023 occurred in foreign-born patients and counties, states as well as metropolitan areas with high foreign-born populations have larger rates of TB than those with lower foreign-born populations. “Some countries of origin for both legal and illegal aliens have TB rates as high as 60 times the U.S. rate,” the FAIR report states, adding that “the government’s health screening for TB in potential immigrants is deficient” and that some categories of illegal immigrants do not undergo any type of health screening. Besides, latent TB is not grounds for inadmissibility even though some U.S. border regions have “TB rates exceeding rates in high-risk countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq, and Lebanon,” researchers found. It is important to note that the cost of treating each case of TB is more than $20,000 and can reach over $500,000 if it is drug-resistant, FAIR points out.
“Data clearly indicate that the prevalence of tuberculosis is, in part, a function of immigration,” FAIR researchers write. “Medical experts have long acknowledged this connection.” For example, in 1990 the CDC wrote that many TB cases in the U.S. occur among foreign-born people with asymptomatic infection when they entered the United States. Tom Fitton, the head of the conservative legal group Judicial Watch, wrote in a Nov. 9 post on the social media platform Truth Social that he had heard “reports” that Trump was “prepared to declare a national emergency and will use military assets to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program.”

In his post, the president-elect did not elaborate more on his plans, but the vow to initiate mass deportations was a major part of Trump’s 2024 campaign messaging strategy.

Trump and running mate JD Vance often publicly pledged to carry out the plan and to reverse Biden-era immigration orders, saying that it’s a needed step to reduce crime and the fentanyl overdose epidemic and improve the U.S. economy.

One of Trump’s first cabinet selections was former acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Tom Homan to become his “border czar” and help initiate the plan.

Homan and Vance have indicated in interviews that the incoming Trump administration will prioritize deporting criminal illegal immigrants.

“President Trump’s plan over time is going to save the taxpayers money,” Homan said in a Nov. 10 Fox interview, adding that the current administration is “paying $500 a night” to house illegal immigrants in hotel rooms in New York City. “Meanwhile, there’s empty ICE beds at $127 a night, so President Trump’s plans will save taxpayers money over time.”

Scott Bessent, who has emerged as a top contender for Treasury secretary in Trump’s cabinet, also told Fox News on Nov. 11 that allowing unfettered illegal migration into the United States would be a more costly alternative in the long term.

“Let’s talk about the human cost. We have 100,000 fentanyl deaths a year because of the porous border. We have the increased crime. We have the underlying fear that the American people have. You can’t put a price on that,” he said.

By some estimates, about 11 million illegal immigrants currently reside in the United States, some being able to do so under temporary protected status orders issued by the Department of Homeland Security.

Some immigration advocacy groups such as the American Immigration Council have said that the deportation plan would be costly and would cause an economic downturn. The plan, according to the organization, would be estimated to cost about $315 billion.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and other immigration groups have pledged to fight Trump’s deportation plans in the courts. During Trump’s first term in office, it was common for the ACLU to file lawsuits against a myriad of policies, including immigration-related ones, that Trump ordered as president.
