Finland seeks to purchase Israeli missile defense systems
The Finnish government announced on 5 April that it seeks to purchase David’s Sling missile defense systems from Israel in a deal valued at $344 million.

The announcement came a day after Finland joined the US-led military alliance NATO, becoming its 31st member after having their bid blocked by Turkiye and Hungary in early 2022.

Experts indicate that Finland’s request to join NATO came in the wake of the start of Russia’s operation in Ukraine due to apprehension in the case that the war would expand into Europe.

In a statement released by Finland’s Defense Minister, Antti Kaikkonen: “This acquisition will create a new capability for the Finnish Defense Forces to intercept targets at high altitude.”

The air defense systems were constructed by Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd and American contractor Raytheon, designed to intercept drones, planes, and ballistic missiles at a range of 40 to 300 kilometers.

Over the past few years, several regional and international countries, such as Azerbaijan and the UAE, have reached out to Israel to purchase its air defense systems.

According to an investigation by Haaretz, since relations between Tel Aviv and Baku were bolstered in 2011, the two regional countries engaged in a $1.6 billion deal, where Azerbaijan purchased a battery of Barak missiles, as well as Searcher and Heron drones from Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).

Baku has also received advanced spy technology from the controversial Pegasus spyware from the notorious Israeli cyber arms NSO Group.

The report further disclosed that almost 70 percent of Azerbaijan’s weapons arsenal has been supplied by Israel.

In December last year, Bahrain, the UAE, and Israel hosted bilateral meetings to work towards setting up joint cyber defenses, with the plan calling to equip themselves with a so-called ‘Cyber Iron Dome.’

After normalizing relations with Tel Aviv in 2020 following the signing of the Abraham Accords, Bahrain and the UAE accounted for $791 million out of $11.3 billion of Israeli arms exports, accounting for seven percent of Israel’s weapons sales in 2021.

(English translation)

Lula and Xi negotiate joint declaration of support for peace in Ukraine

The governments of Brazil and China negotiate a joint declaration, in which they will defend a negotiated and peaceful exit from the war that has been going on for more than a year between Russia and Ukraine. At the Presidential Palace, the final text is still under debate and the last adjustments should only be established after the meeting between Presidents Xi Jinping and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, on April 14 in Beijing.

The statement with all the points on the bilateral agenda was already at an advanced stage of negotiations, considering that Lula's trip would take place a week ago. But hours before boarding, the Brazilian was forced to postpone the visit because of pneumonia. The text will provide details on more than 20 agreements that will be signed between the two countries.

UOL found, however, that one of the most anticipated points of the text is the reference to the war in Ukraine. The subject is of such sensitivity that the negotiation is taking place by the Presidential Palace itself, with little involvement of the Brazilian embassy in Beijing.

The idea is that the statement cites the need for channels of dialogue to be established, allowing facilitators to seek ways out of the crisis.

Lula has been advocating the creation of a kind of contact group, made up of countries that are not directly involved in the war. But the project has received a cold reception from Europe and the US.

The Chinese, on the other hand, reject any accusatory reference against Russia, which will require diplomatic juggling on the part of Brazil. A few weeks ago, in the White House, Lula signed a statement alongside Joe Biden condemning the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

For former Brazilian Negotiators, the Americans "got what they wanted": a written document in which Lula condemns Moscow.

The U.S. government has already made it clear that it would only accept a role from Brazil as an interlocutor in the dialogue process if it accepted that Russia violated the United Nations Charter, that it is the only aggressor and that Ukraine is the only victim.

In the days following the meeting between Biden and Lula, the Brazilian government made gestures to both sides. The Brazilian president spoke to the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, but made it clear that there is no agreement based on unilateral demands. Kiev insisted on asking for Lula's support for his peace project, considered unacceptable by Moscow.

Last week, it was the turn of the special advisor for International Affairs, Celso Amorim, to meet in the Kremlin with President Vladimir Putin and confirm the trip of the Russian Chancellor, Sergei Lavrov, to Brazil on April 17.

The Western powers were also surprised by Brazil's vote, at the end of March, to support a resolution proposed by Russia in the UN Security Council. Only Brasilia and Beijing followed the Kremlin's idea of creating an international investigation to examine the explosion in the pipeline that supplies Europe with Russian energy, the Nord Stream.

All other governments in the main United Nations body opted for an abstention. The project, therefore, was not approved.

Amorim was also in France, days before Emmanuel Macron, president of France, traveled to Beijing.

The expectation is also that the Chinese will ask for Lula's endorsement of his peace plan for Russia. But the project is contested by the Americans, who do not accept a ceasefire while Russian troops are on Ukrainian territory.

The fear still of the White House and Europeans is that, if an exit is negotiated by China, Xi will come out of the war as the protagonist of a peace and strength agreement on the international scene. A few weeks ago, the Chinese leader brokered and sealed an understanding between Saudis and Iranians, to the surprise of the US.

Brazil Presidential Advisor met with Putin in Moscow

Celso Amorim, head advisor to the Brazilian Presidency, met with President Vladimir Putin for a one hour meeting during a discreet trip to Moscow last week.

Amorim was received by the Secretary of the Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, and by the Kremlin’s main advisor for international affairs, Yuri Ushakov. He also had lunch with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who will visit Brasília on the 17th.

The two spoke a little about bilateral issues: the trade flow between Brazil and Russia, the supply of fertilizers, the possibility of using local currencies to offset exports and imports. Then they turned to questions relating to the armed conflict in Ukraine.

“To say that the doors are open [for a peace negotiation] would be an exaggeration, but to say that they are completely closed is not true either,” stated Amorim to CNN Brasil. “There is no magic solution [to stop the conflict]. But there will come a time when, on one side or the other, a realization will emerge that the cost of war — not just the political cost, but the human and economic cost — will be greater than the cost of the necessary concessions for peace.”

He continued: “My feeling is that this moment has not yet arrived, but it could come sooner than you think. And then the existence of a group of ‘neutral’ countries — quotes must be put here — can help”.

Since the start of the conflict in Ukraine, Putin has on rare occasion received foreign ministers or presidential advisers, but welcomed Amorim at the same table where Putin has received heads of state. In February, one of the few senior foreign officials to be received by Putin was Wang Yi, the China’s top diplomat.

Amorim, who was Lula’s former Foreign Minister, and is now his main advisor on external affairs, was in Russia for two days followed by France for two days.

Russia’s Foreign Minister Serguei Lavrov is set to visit Brazil on April 17th. In recent days, the Ministry tweeted, “We will deepen mutually beneficial multifaceted partnerships with Brazil, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela and develop relations with other Latin American countries..”

Celso Amorim has previously spoken exclusively to Kawsachun News in regard to Lula’s planned trip to China, telling us,

“President Lula’s trip to Beijing and Shanghai is very important, the reaffirmation of important friendship ties for a strategic partnership. It’s worth remembering that it is the third trip – it can be said that the first was Argentina and Uruguay at once. Then we were in the United States and this is the first trip outside the American continent.”

"No one needs Ukraine, so it will disappear, and it will not be on the planet." — Deputy chairman of the Russian security Council and Former president of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev

---------------

Dmitry Medvedev in typically withering form here sourced from Slavyangrad Telegram channel (https://t.me/Slavyangrad/40873).

In full, below:

1. Europe doesn't need Ukraine. The massive support for the Nazi regime at the behest of an American mentor has already given Europeans a real financial and political hell. Flows of brazen beggars—Ukrainian migrants and their accommodation at the expense of their own citizens, skyrocketing inflation, huge heating and electricity bills, rotting European businesses, unprofitable Russian sanctions—all this has already led to explosions of discontent in both Western and Eastern Europe. And for what? for the sake of Banderites' destroyed-Ukraine, which even the most arrogant Poles do not perceive as a normal country and periodically throw in the theme of the annexation of the western regions. Ahead of them looms the prospect of finally putting the young Ukrainian blood-sucking parasites on the arthritis-ridden neck of the withering European Union. This will be the final sunset of a formerly regal but impoverished Europe.

2. Ukraine is not needed by the United States. Yes, the military and sanctions campaigns are the PR motivation for the political babblers, who signed their own impotence and feeble-mindedness long ago. Real senile people like Biden, whose place is not at the head of a huge power but on the grass, surrounded by their relatives with their mouths open with dementia, Ordinary Americans have no idea at all what "Ukraine" is or where it is located. Most of them can't even show this "country" on a map. Why should they suffer such inconvenience for the sake of some obscure part of Russia?

3. Africa and Latin America don't need Ukraine. After all, the hundreds of billions that the U.S. spends on pointless fights somewhere in Ukraine would be enough for many programs aimed at the social development of Latin American and African states.

4. Asia doesn't need Ukraine. On the Russian example, they see how the color technologies for the elimination of the largest competing powers are practiced. They understand what scenario the collective West, led by America, has prepared for them in the event of disobedience. "Help us deal with Russia, and then we'll come to you soon," say the pissed-off Western leaders. Giant countries like India, China, and other APAC nations have enough problems with economic recovery after the pandemic without the drug clowns and their whining for help.

5. Russia does not need Ukraine. After all, Ukraine is not a country at all, but a cloud in its pants. a tattered, shabby, greasy, and totally rotten patchwork quilt. The new Malorossia of the 1991 model—artificially sliced territories, many of which are originally Russian and were accidentally seized in the XX century. Millions of our compatriots live here; they have been bullied for years by the Nazi Kiev regime. It is them that we defend in a special military operation, ruthlessly destroying the enemy. But the pieces of Russia called Ukraine within its 1991 borders are simply a misunderstanding, spawned by the collapse of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. And that's why we don't need a collapsed and destroyed Ukraine. We need Greater Great Russia.

6. Finally, a Ukraine led by Nazi leadership doesn't need its citizens. That is why, out of 45 million, there are a little more than 20 million left. That's why the rest want to go anywhere—to hateful Poland, to the EU, to NATO—and they want to become the 52nd state of America. If only to join Antarctica with penguins. The only thing they want is to be quiet and well fed. Because of the criminal ambitions of the group in power, Ukrainians are forced to live in constant anxiety and fear. forced to live in poverty, abandoning their homes and households. forced to wander in search of a better life across countries and continents. all for a murky European perspective. Or, more precisely, so that the harlequin in green tights and his band of thieving fascist clowns would save stolen Western money in their offshore accounts. Why do (https://t.me/Slavyangrad/40871) ordinary (https://t.me/dimsmirnov175/46406) Ukrainians need this?

No one on the planet needs such a Ukraine.
That's exactly why it won't exist.

Russian experts began to study the filling of the American UAV MQ-9 Reaper

https://topcor.ru/uploads/posts/2023-04/thumbs/1680872637_riper.jpg

The Russian military managed to retrieve the wreckage of the downed American reconnaissance UAV MQ-9 Reaper from the bottom of the Black Sea. At the moment, the specialists of JSC "Radioelectronic Technology”and the Central Research Institute of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense are studying the electronic filling of the Reaper.

Thanks to the actions of the Su-27 pilots, specialized specialists of the Russian Defense Ministry became the owners of valuable information about the military technologies of a potential enemy. In particular, the AN / AAS-52 optoelectronic complex and the AN / APY-8 radar reconnaissance complex are already being carefully studied. Telemetry and secure satellite communication stations, as well as the Link-16 data exchange terminal, are also being carefully studied by Russian electronic engineers.

Determining the frequency parameters of telemetry equipment and assessing the level of interference immunity of the Reaper will help in the future to model effective countermeasures against such UAVs by Russian electronic warfare systems.

The capabilities of American long-focus observation devices, including the type and resolution of matrix photodetectors, will be carefully studied. This will allow us to understand the ability of enemy reconnaissance drones to identify Russian equipment at different distances.

Deputy Head of Kagarlyk region in Ukraine, Ivan Semtsov, was one of the organizers of a raid on a local Orthodox church. During the conflict, Semtsov snatched the cross from the priest and threw it on the ground.

He immediately suffered a stroke and died.

MAJOR: Nato Plans for Ukraine Leaked

As many of you have likely heard, a major leak from U.S. DOD headquarters has just occurred the day before yesterday. Initially, I wasn’t going to cover it because there was a strong chance it could be fake, and it’s not worth the effort of a full deep-dive for a document of questionable origin/validity.

However, now the Pentagram has confirmed the validity of the documents, as they’re now panickedly trying to scrub the internet of them. From NYTimes:

Here's why the leaked ‘secret plan’ for a Ukrainian military offensive doesn't add up 7 Apr, 2023

The release looks like an attempt to distract Russia's attention from what's really going on

https://mf.b37mrtl.ru/files/2023.04/thumbnail/643065d285f5404cf04668bf.jpg

On Friday, photos appeared of a document allegedly containing details on a planned imminent Ukrainian offensive on territories controlled by Russia. The ‘leak’ coincided with suggestions that the NATO Defender 2023 exercises – planned for the end of this month – could be a cover for an operation to supply and support Ukrainian units. However, upon closer examination, doubts arise concerning the document’s authenticity.

When did it appear?
The supposed secret plans to support an offensive by Kiev's forces hit the internet the day before Anthony Blinken made a statement on the subject. The US Secretary of State said the operation will begin “within a few weeks.”

What information does it contain?
There hasn't been a leak of this nature since Moscow's military campaign in Ukraine began, over 13 months ago. It is noteworthy that the published plans contain not only a schedule for supplying Ukrainian units with NATO weapons and ammunition, but also information about the structure of the brigades and battalions allegedly preparing for the offensive.

The document, dated March 1, says Kiev's brigades need 253 tanks, more than 380 infantry fighting vehicles and APCs, 480 vehicles, 147 artillery pieces, and 571 HMMWV armored vehicles to carry out the offensive.

Which information is most suspect?
The probable locations of Russian units, indicated on the combat map in red, appear to have been collected from open sources. Several pro-Kiev resources that track military operations contain almost identical information.

Also, the ratios of killed and wounded for the Ukrainian and Russian Armed Forces which initially appeared in these ‘secret plans’ have since been changed. When first posted, the losses for the Ukrainian side were underestimated at about 16,500 –17,000 people. Then (probably to be more realistic), they increased almost fivefold, up to 65,000 – 75,000. At the same time, the numbers given for Russia's purported losses of vehicles and equipment coincide with data published by Kiev's Ministry of Defense.

What else is wrong with the published AFU offensive plans?
The blatant falsification of data on the readiness of Ukrainian military formations catches the eye. The document states that, of the nine supposedly to be trained up to US and NATO standards by March 31 and April 30, five of Kiev's brigades have had zero training: these are the 82nd Airborne, the 32nd, 117th, and 118th Territorial Defense, as well as the 21st separate mechanized.

Even if only two or three companies in these brigades were trained, and self-preparation wasn't completed, their level of training couldn’t be zero. At the same time, the highest percentage of readiness was recorded only in the 47th mechanized(40%) and the 46th airborne assault (60%).

What’s the upshot?
The plan also gives perplexing figures for military equipment.

For example, out of 109 M2 Bradley BMPs sent to armed forces, for some reason only 99 are to participate in the offensive. Moreover, the vehicles are not distributed among the brigades and only assigned to one formation – Kiev's 47th mechanized brigade, which doesn't have heavy tanks.

Rather than Soviet T-72s or T-64BVs, this grouping has only Slovak T-55Ss with 105mm guns, which are difficult to use in a large-scale offensive.

The small, but important, errors and inaccuracies in the calculations of equipment, the adjusted accounting of losses, as well as the presence of units with ‘zero’ readiness, indicate that this document, which was issued as a ‘secret plan,’ was probably prepared and distributed not by the military but by a group of civilians, probably pro-Kiev analysts.

The purpose of this planted misinformation may be to underreport the actual number of combat-ready Ukrainian units to be deployed for the offensive or to distract attention from other events related to the real operation.

Putin: Armed Forces of Ukraine fired 300 shells at their prisoners and killed them all

The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 14 of their soldiers who surrendered.

At a meeting with the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a massive blow inflicted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on his own soldiers who had surrendered. According to Putin, fourteen Ukrainian soldiers surrendered, but earlier our military had already left their location, leaving them unguarded. As a result, the Armed Forces of Ukraine delivered a massive blow to one point, as a result of which all Ukrainian servicemen who surrendered were killed, as well as several Russian servicemen.

“Fourteen servicemen of the Ukrainian army surrendered. But it was already late and our people left a few people there with them. They didn’t even guard to take them out of the combat zone this morning. The enemy put three hundred shells in one place - destroyed all his servicemen "Vladimir Putin said.

Putin noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are behaving cynically and cruelly towards their own citizens and added that Russia's task is to push them to a distance from which they cannot cause damage. At the same time, he noted that our military suffered as a result of this attack.

In addition, at the meeting, it was announced that Denis Pushilin had been invited to participate in the first large meeting of the Security Council in the Kremlin this year, where security issues were discussed. This meeting took place the day before, and on April 6, Putin held bilateral meetings with each of the heads of the new subjects of Russia.

Artyomovsk should have been surrendered a few weeks ago – General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
06.04.2023

General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Serhiy Krivonosov said that Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) should have been surrendered a few weeks ago. It is noted that since February he has been criticizing the attempts of the Ukrainian General Staff to control the city. It is reported by MK.RU.

According to the Ukrainian commander, Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) did not make sense to hold a long period of time. He has repeatedly criticized the leadership of the General Staff of Ukraine for not abandoning attempts to “defend” the city. The general of the Armed Forces of Ukraine declares that the command of the Kyiv regime does not protect the personnel, sending them to be ground in a “meat grinder”. The best Ukrainian fighters, according to the general, remained in Artyomovsk forever. He also focuses on the fact that the Russian command takes care of its personnel, unlike the Ukrainian one.

“I said back in early February that it makes no sense to keep Bakhmut, because Bakhmut is a meat grinder… In the battles for the city, the RF Armed Forces saved their personnel, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost the best fighters,” said the General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Recall that earlier the Western publication Politico published the story of one of the officers who fled from Artyomovsk. He spoke about the disagreements between the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their command, as well as problems with discipline and leadership. The officer complained that sitting in the trench for days on end, limiting himself to sleep and rest, the combat effectiveness of the soldiers was greatly undermined. Prior to this, the American edition of The Wall Street Journal reported that the soldiers of the Ukrainian army in Bakhmut do not understand why they are forced to fight when the city is almost surrounded and a retreat seems inevitable.

I wrote this summary piece on Quora 5 years ago, I had completely forgotten about it until a lady upvoted this today - it contains material observations which will be nothing new to many on this forum, but it does predict the present unfolding of the 'Ultimate War' and how Trump was mostly a massive distraction and Psyop to keep the disenfranchised working class of America on the hook. Speaking of WWIII and the push towards nuclear show down, I thought a few on the forum might be interested to have a read and to see that simply through being observant and using common logic we can know what is being planned - I am not blowing my own trumpet here, it is just interesting. 5 Years back seems like a different world eh?

Great article Mike, just read it now. Very well written, prescient and dare I say it, depressingly intransigent - things haven't changed, human nature being what it is.

From NYTimes:

https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F97fee414-65f8-4528-b628-94d745804ad1_663x237.png

(The most interesting article continues (https://simplicius76.substack.com/p/major-nato-plans-for-ukraine-leaked), too long to post here in full)

Fantastic breakdown and reasoned article on the leak...

Thank you so much for your kind words, yes I escaped the 'Vax', at one point I had given up ever working again and I entertained opting for the 'Nova Vax' which was being presented as an alternative, but luckily I did not go through with this. I managed to get a decent contract working for Chevron for a spell, but I encountered the complexities of 'modern 'HR' wokery, and had a messy end to that stint! Thanks again, I somehow manage to scrape by, my spiritual guardians have helped me (yes I believe in such entities) and I am more fortunate than some poor souls. Cheers and Happy Easter to everyone, the resurrection continues to inspire us.

Glut of Ukrainian grain on local markets triggers protests by farmers in Romania and Bulgaria, erodes support for Ukraine.

Poland's minister of agriculture resigns.

In 2022, the EU opened its market to Ukrainian agricultural products, resulting in a significant increase in exports from Ukraine to the EU, which reached $12.9 billion. This influx of cheaper Ukrainian grains flooded the EU markets and led to protests by farmers in Bulgaria, Romania, and Poland.

Romanian and Bulgarian agricultural workers are protesting against the importation of Ukrainian grain, which they claim is flooding central European markets and driving down prices. They argue that the cheaper Ukrainian wheat is not simply in transit, but is instead being dumped into the market, causing financial strain as fertilizer and energy costs increase.

According to them, the imported Ukrainian wheat is excessively flooding the domestic markets and causing a decline in prices, despite increasing costs of fertilizer and energy. In Romania, around 100 farmers gathered in the capital city of Bucharest, while numerous others staged protests with long lines of tractors throughout the country. In Bulgaria, grain producers blocked certain border crossings using their farming vehicles.

In an effort to streamline the transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products to third-country markets, the EU lifted customs duties and import quotas on these goods last year. Ukraine is among the largest producers of grain and sunflower oil globally.

Nevertheless, an excess of low-cost Ukrainian agricultural products, particularly grain, has adversely impacted farmers in Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, and other EU nations, leading to a significant reduction in prices within local markets.

The nations bordering Ukraine are facing the most severe issues, as wheat imported from Ukraine for further transport to other global destinations frequently remains unused, leading to the saturation of silos and a substantial decline in its value.

The pressure on the EU regarding the influx of Ukrainian grain is intensifying as Poland's Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Henryk Kowalczyk, announces his resignation amidst ongoing farmer protests. Brussels' apparent blindness to the impact of Ukrainian grain imports has further escalated the situation.

Ukraine’s secret attempt to retake the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant
With meltdown an ever-present threat, the stakes behind the attack could not have been higher. Kyiv’s great gamble is explained by Maxim Tucker

In the dead of night last October a Ukrainian special forces team boarded a 40ft armoured patrol boat, taking up positions at its three heavy machineguns and Mk19 automatic grenade launcher.
They were among nearly 600 elite troops scattered along the north bank of the Dnipro River, which carves through Zaporizhzhia region. The teams boarded more than 30 vessels bristling with weapons, formidable gifts from friends in the West.
Their orders: to launch an assault to recapture the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant from the Russians on the opposite bank.
Kyiv has never acknowledged attacking Europe’s largest nuclear power station but Ukrainian special forces, military intelligence and navy personnel involved have revealed to The Times details of the highly dangerous operation to recover the site.
By the night of the raid, Russian troops had held the power station for over six months, using its territory to bombard Ukrainian cities across the water and a major steel plant in Nikopol. Ukraine’s desperate attempt to retake the facility from President Putin’s troops, and the reasons it gave for doing so, highlight the risk to Europe of nuclear disaster at the contested plant.
Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), visited the site last week in an effort to broker a deal to demilitarise the area around its six nuclear reactors.
“It is very, very important that we agree on the fundamental principle that a nuclear power plant should not be attacked under any circumstances,” Grossi said during his visit, which took place a week after The Times asked the IAEA to comment on the raid. “It shouldn’t be used to attack others, likewise. A nuclear accident with radiological consequences will spare no one.”

On October 19 the Ukrainian soldiers were excited. If they survived the war, their mission would be one to tell their grandchildren about, an officer involved said.
“The idea was that this would be an infantry-only battle. They wouldn’t be able to use artillery against us, as this is a nuclear plant,” the officer said. Drawn from select units of Ukraine’s military intelligence, GUR, and including the Shaman battalion, the Kraken Regiment and the Ukrainian Foreign Legion, even the youngest among his brothers-in-arms were already battle-hardened. Yet none of them expected the resistance they would face at the power plant.
“The Russians built a very dense defence, they mined everything,” the officer said. “When we were approaching they even pulled up tanks and artillery and started firing at us right on the water.”
Despite the site’s strategic importance, the Russian occupation was ill disciplined, chaotic and dangerous, according to Petro Kotin, president of Ukraine’s state nuclear enterprise Energoatom.
“There are Russian national guards, FSB [the security service], Omon [special police], DNR [Donetsk People’s Republic], LNR [Luhansk People’s Republic], the Kadyrov guys [serving Ramzan Kadyrov, leader of the Chechen Republic] and they communicate with each other only a limited amount,” Kotin added.
“They do whatever they want whenever it comes into their minds. For example, one group starts to repair the line that connects ZNPP [the plant] to the Ukrainian electricity grid, then another group will shell it.”
Although the reactors have been shut down since September 11, the plant needs electricity to pump coolant around nuclear fuel if it is to avoid disaster, Kotin said. “The plant has been in full blackout mode six times already, working only on backup diesel generators, now down to two weeks’ fuel supply,” he said. “If they stop you will have melting in six reactors and six spent fuel pools. Some reactors will melt in three hours, some will take a day.”

Before the raid Russian troops had tortured staff responsible for the safe operation of the reactors, plant workers said, increasing the risk of the type of human error that caused catastrophe at Chernobyl. Two days before the assault, on October 17, Energoatom reported that Oleh Kostyukov and Oleh Oshek, two senior employees essential to the reactor’s safe operation, had been abducted by Russian troops, raising the hazard level still further.
By October each of the seven pillars of nuclear safety had been violated at the plant, according to the IAEA, which said the presence of Russian troops on its territory was inviting disaster. President Zelensky’s administration had appealed to the United Nations to help evict Putin’s forces, but weeks of diplomacy had failed to resolve the risk. Ukraine decided to take matters into its own hands.
As special forces speedboats crossed a stretch of river nearly three miles wide, precision Himars rockets provided by the US smashed into Russian positions on the riverbank.
“This is our artillery and Himars working. Here they are shelling us in the water, on the Dnipro River,” the officer narrated as he showed video of the assault to The Times, explaining how his patrol boat had probed Russian defences on the bank for weaknesses.

Asked whether the US had provided targets for the Himars before the raid, a US defence source confirmed that “time-sensitive” intelligence was provided to Ukrainian special forces, although they declined to give specific details. “We do share information with them but they are responsible for the selection, prioritisation and ultimate decisions to engage threats,” the source said.
Once the Ukrainian boats had neared the shoreline, the Russian guns opened up, forcing the soldiers to change direction.
“We had speedboats, a lot of boats,” said the officer. “We repeatedly assaulted their positions, from our shore to their shore. They kept on shelling us, really heavy shelling.”

A handful of the Ukrainian special forces teams in smaller boats managed to make it to the shore as dawn broke, engaging the Russians in a three-hour firefight on the outskirts of the town of Enerhodar, which adjoins the plant. The main force was unable to land, however.
“It was impossible for such a large group to penetrate,” the special forces officer said. “With smaller groups, yes, we were advancing, penetrating and fighting them. But with a large group it was impossible, as they were lurking everywhere.”

His team tried to engage the tanks on the shoreline but it was difficult to fire anti-tank weapons while moving at speed over the water. The larger boats manoeuvred to try to attack Enerhodar from the opposite flank but a constant hail of fire eventually forced all the Ukrainians to withdraw.
“A lot of lives were saved thanks to the commander of this operation. When he realised it would be very, very difficult and we would take heavy casualties, instead of stupidly saying, ‘Go forward!’ he decided we could retreat.”
Even among senior Ukrainian officials who are adamant the Russians must be driven out, the attempt to take the plant by force is considered controversial.
Energoatom’s Kotin said: “If our army can advance south towards Crimea, toward Melitopol, this is the only option — no direct shelling of the plant, no direct advance on the territory of the plant with direct actions against the Russians. It is very dangerous to do such things near nuclear material. Any damage will bring radiation to the people and to the whole world.”
However, the greatest threat to the plant remains the Russian presence there, Kotin stressed. Today the Russians are using control centres as barracks, installing gun emplacements on the roofs of plant buildings and constructing fortifications close to storage sites of radioactive material. They keep ammunition trucks inside the reactors’ turbine halls, risking a nuclear incident that could blight Ukraine for decades, he added.
“We see the progressive degradation of the plant in all directions — the site itself, equipment and personnel; all type of programmes which in normal, peaceful times would be considered unacceptable,” Kotin added.
“We are in a state of emergency, waiting until something bad happens, and that could happen at any time.”

Bachmut was an important fortress of the Ukrainian army. Every inch was defended for months. For almost a year, soldiers were sent into Bachmoet's meat grinder.
That is now coming to an end. The Wagner group has announced that it virtually owns Bachmoet. Some parts of the city are still occupied by Ukrainian troops, but these are the last pockets of resistance, says former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter. "Bachmoth has fallen."

1644560532211392513

Final blow

Russia has effectively paralyzed the Ukrainian army. Tens of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers have been killed. Tens of thousands have been injured, Ritter said. According to him, the Ukrainian army is probably not able to mount a spring offensive.
Russia will most likely deal the final blow to the Ukrainian army this summer, he says. “The battle for Bachmut is over. This means that the chance of victory for Ukraine has been lost. The war is lost.”

Difficult

Ukraine, meanwhile, claims that the situation at Bachmoet is "difficult, but under control." According to the commander of the Ukrainian troops in eastern Ukraine, Ukrainian soldiers are 'heroically' resisting the Russian offensive.

Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin said earlier that his units are making progress in Bachmut and that Ukrainian troops are struggling because of the loss of supply routes.

Ukraine War Is A Scam Admits Ex-French President

klsgnK0xl3k
A couple of expert pranksters from Russia tricked former French President Francois Hollande into thinking one of them was former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, and some decidedly interesting revelations came out of the conversation. Most notably, Hollande admitted that the 2014 Minsk Accords, which were supposed to end fighting in the Donbass region of Ukraine were all a sham, intended to hoodwink Russia and allow the Ukrainians to build up their military capabilities to ramp up the war later. Jimmy and Americans' Comedian Kurt Metzger talk with CODEPINK's Medea Benjamin about these revelations, which come as no surprise to anyone who knows the recent history of Ukraine, but unfortunately that's not most Americans.

Amazon Prime BANS Oliver Stone Documentary ‘Revealing Ukraine’ (https://www.infowars.com/posts/amazon-prime-bans-oliver-stone-documentary-revealing-ukraine)

Amazon Prime this week banned a popular documentary focused on the West’s coup in Ukraine and the lead-up to the nation’s current war with Russia.

2019’s “Revealing Ukraine” is “currently unavailable” on Amazon Prime (https://www.amazon.com/Revealing-Ukraine-Oliver-Stone/dp/B0817CQDWG) after being hosted by the streaming service for the past four years.

The film’s director, Igor Lopatonok, posted on Twitter Tuesday, writing, “Another round of censorship-now it is #AmazonPrimeVideo (https://twitter.com/hashtag/AmazonPrimeVideo?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1645945551836561409%7Ctwgr%5Ed 2cfac04a5f1b7ba5a3ce2616f6815f88dd5d6dd%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.infowars.com%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost-new.php&src=hashtag_click) censoring our documentary “Revealing Ukraine” Why is it? “Revealing Ukraine” and its prequel, 2014’s “Ukraine on Fire,” were both produced by legendary filmmaker Oliver Stone and were both heavily censored by the establishment.
YouTube removed “Ukraine on Fire” (https://www.infowars.com/posts/watch-oliver-stones-bombshell-ukraine-documentary-censored-by-youtube/) within a month of the Ukraine-Russia war beginning.
In February 2023, Infowars covered a Twitter thread (https://www.infowars.com/posts/thread-warmongering-background-of-biden-undersecretary-nuland-exposed/) posted by Lopatonok that caught the attention of the company’s CEO Elon Musk, who commented on a link to the documentary “Revealing Ukraine,” writing, “Interesting thread.”

After being censored (https://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?80790-Internet-Censorship-So-it-began...) on YouTube, Oliver Stone (https://rumble.com/search/all?q=Oliver%20Stone) has released his 2016 film to the public, covering Ukraine's complex history and build up to the political unrest we see today
Ukraine. Across its eastern border is Russia and to its west-Europe. For centuries, it has been at the center of a tug-of-war between powers seeking to control its rich lands and access to the Black Sea. 2014's Maidan Massacre triggered a bloody uprising that ousted president Viktor Yanukovych and painted Russia as the perpetrator by Western media. But was it? "Ukraine on Fire" by Igor Lopatonok provides a historical perspective for the deep divisions in the region which lead to the 2004 Orange Revolution, 2014 uprisings, and the violent overthrow of democratically elected Yanukovych. Covered by Western media as a people's revolution, it was in fact a coup d'état scripted and staged by nationalist groups and the U.S. State Department. Investigative journalist Robert Parry reveals how U.S.-funded political NGOs and media companies have emerged since the 80s replacing the CIA in promoting America's geopolitical agenda abroad.

Seems like the Polish prime minister is dead set on making Poland into a huge target. WHY??? If any of you are aware of an explanation for this, please let us know.

https://www.rt.com/news/574631-poland-depleted-uranium-factory/
EU country wants depleted uranium factory – PM
Mateusz Morawiecki is eager to manufacture the toxic tank ammunition in Poland

Poland wants to be the service center for all American M1 Abrams tanks in Europe and even make the depleted uranium (DU) ammunition for their guns, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Wednesday.

After meeting Vice President Kamala Harris in Washington on Tuesday, Morawiecki traveled to Anniston, Alabama. The community of 20,000 residents is home to the US Army depot that services all tracked vehicles, including the Abrams tanks.

“I want a service center for Abrams tanks for the whole of Europe, for maintaining their battle readiness, to be located in Poland,” Morawiecki told Polish journalists who followed him to Anniston. “This is possible, I am in talks regarding this.”

Poland is also “striving” to have a factory where DU ammunition can be produced, he added.

The dense metal is used by US and UK tankers as an armor-penetrating round. Its debris is highly toxic when inhaled, and numerous NATO troops have complained of a spike in cancer rates after spending time in places where DU ammunition had been used, such as Iraq and the former Yugoslavia.

After meeting with Harris on Tuesday, Morawiecki told Polish media that he asked for an “additional presence of several thousand soldiers,” as well as more bases and warehouses for US equipment and weapons being sent to Ukraine. Poland is currently a logistics hub for the NATO effort to arm Kiev, though the US-led bloc insists it is not directly involved in Ukraine’s conflict with Russia.

Warsaw has sought a permanent US presence for years, trying to woo then-President Donald Trump in 2018 with an offer to name a base after him.

Poland has ordered 250 new Abrams tanks and another 116 modernized tanks, to replace almost all of its Soviet-era T-72s it had turned over to Ukraine. The first 14 tanks are expected to arrive in June, Morawiecki said, describing them as an “armored curtain” that will protect his country.

Polish media have also shed some light on Morawiecki’s puzzling presence in the US while President Joe Biden is out of the country. The visit, according to the news portal Interia, was “suddenly accelerated” by the Americans as a counter to French President Emmanuel Macron’s trip to China last week.

Morawiecki’s trip is “gaining even more importance” after Macron’s comments that the EU won’t be a “vassal” of Washington when it comes to confronting China over the status of Taiwan, the outlet said.

The latest “leak” of documents from the Pentagon doesn’t pass the sniff test. Not only were the documents released to deep recesses of the internet like 4chan and Reddit rather than any journalistic outlet, but the reporting from the New York Times has only served to reinforce intelligence community talking points about Wikileaks and Edward Snowden while not actually revealing much that is not already known about U.S. involvement in the war in Ukraine. Russia's Terrifying Message for The USA:

ibmRQRy0r6U
Russia's Terrifying Message for The USA. message strange truth world news current events april 2023 today this week this month motivation The Russian Foreign Ministry is claiming that the US and Russia are now in a hot phase and implores the US to resume some kind of dialogue, but NATO is not interested in peace talks. The UK is sending depleted uranium and the US is continuing its BioLabs program in Ukraine. The largest military air exercise in NATO history is scheduled for this summer. They have to call it an exercise, otherwise NATO would have to admit that they are with Russia. Starting next month, thousands of NATO troops will create a united front in Europe against Russia. The US has been exposed for destroying the Nord Stream 2 pipeline and America's facade of a moral high ground is quickly fading. The Pentagon leaks say that Ukraine is losing. Both sides have threatened the nuclear option and the Ukrainians have already attacked a nuclear power plant. We are one desperate action away from a nuclear with Russia. China is now simulating precision strikes on key targets on Taiwan and the moment they invade, the US will go with China. The UNA party and the media have been focusing on China for several weeks now and US Senator Lindsey Graham is already prepared to start sending troops. But the Department of Defense is warning that the US doesn't have enough munitions to fight China. The millions of rounds of ammunition that the US has sent to Ukraine has drained stockpiles, which will take years to replenish, making it an opportune moment for the CCP to invade.

Underreported Bombshell: Seymour Hersh Reveals Massive Skimming of US Aid in Ukraine and Claims CIA Knows All About It

Editor’s Note: Sometimes, my scan of thousands of headlines from conservative and alternative news sites fails me. That’s my excuse for missing this story yesterday about journalist Seymour Hersh’s claim about massive “skimming” of U.S. aid to Ukraine by officials, including the “Hero of Democracy” Volodymyr Zelensky.

Oh, and the CIA apparently knows all about it. Because of course they do. On top of that, Hersh claimed U.S. aid is earmarked for Ukraine to buy diesel fuel… from Russia. This whole drama is like a very bad and deadly soap opera. Here’s Dave DeCamp from Antiwar reporting on it…

Seymour Hersh: the CIA Knows Ukrainian Officials Are Skimming US Aid
On Wednesday, Investigative journalist Seymour Hersh published a report on Substack that alleged the CIA was aware of widespread corruption in Ukraine and the embezzlement of US aid.

The report said the Ukrainian government has been using US taxpayer money to purchase diesel from Russia to fuel its military. Hersh said Zelensky “has been buying the fuel from Russia, the country with which it, and Washington, are at war, and the Ukrainian president and many in his entourage have been skimming untold millions from the American dollars earmarked for diesel fuel payments.”

Hersh said according to one estimate by CIA analysts, at least $400 million in funds were embezzled last year. Sources told Hersh that Ukrainian officials are also “competing” to set up front companies for export contracts to private arms dealers around the world.

The issue of corruption was raised during a meeting between CIA Director William Burns and Zelensky in January. An intelligence official with direct knowledge of the meeting told Hersh that Burns delivered a stunning message to Zelensky.

With 90% of ingredients in pharmaceuticals coming from Communist China, the risk of a medical supply chain crisis has never been greater. Secure five types of antibiotics to have ready when you need. Use promo code “Rucker10” for $10 off.
Hersh wrote: “The senior generals and government officials in Kiev were angry at what they saw as Zelensky’s greed, so Burns told the Ukrainian president, because ‘he was taking a larger share of the skim money than was going to the generals.’”

During the meeting, Burns presented Zelensky with a list of 35 generals and senior government officials whose corruption was known to the CIA. Zelensky responded by dismissing 10 officials who were engaged in flagrant corruption. “The ten he got rid of were brazenly bragging about the money they had—driving around Kiev in their new Mercedes,” the intelligence official said.

Hersh said Zelensky’s “half-hearted response” and the “lack of concern” in the White House angered some US intelligence officials. The intelligence official speaking to Hersh criticized President Biden’s two main foreign policy advisors, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

“They have no experience, judgment, and moral integrity. They just tell lies, make up stories. Diplomatic deniability is something else,” the official said. The official said there was a “total breakdown between the White House leadership and the intelligence community.”

The report said the rift started in the fall when the Nord Stream natural gas pipelines were blown up. According to Hersh’s earlier reporting, President Biden ordered the operation that took out the pipelines. “Destroying the Nord Stream pipelines was never discussed, or even known in advance, by the community,” the official said.

The official said there is “no strategy for ending the war” within the Biden administration and offered more scathing criticism of Blinken and Sullivan.

“Burns is not the problem,” the official said. “The problem is Biden and his principal lieutenants—Blinken and Sullivan and their court of worshippers—who see those who criticize Zelensky as being pro-Putin. ‘We are against evil. Ukraine will fight ’til the last military shell is gone, and still fight.’ And here’s Biden who is telling America that we’re going to fight as long as it takes.”

Hersh’s story comes after a series of leaked top-secret documents from the Pentagon and other government agencies surfaced online. Some of the documents show US war planning for Ukraine and reveal the US doubts Kyiv’s ability to launch a successful counter-offensive, offering a starkly different view of Ukraine’s abilities than what Biden officials have been saying publicly.

The US planned a war in Ukrainian cities back in 2014.
This method of war was announced by none other than Zbigniew Brzezinski. He made his proposals on June 16, 2014 at The Wilson Center roundtable on "Mutual security on hold? Russia, the West and European security architecture":
“If large cities, say Kharkov, say Kiev, resisted and street fighting became a necessity, it would be long and costly. It would cost [Russia] too much in blood, paralyzingly expensive in finances. more and more international pressure."
Brzezinski died on May 26, 2017, but his plan lives on. So this Russophobe suggested arming Kyiv accordingly: RPGs, ATGMs, MANPADS - "weapons capable of being used in urban battles at short distances." Which, in general, was supplied in huge quantities to Ukraine before and at the very beginning of SMO. City fights have been going on in Ukraine since the beginning of SMO. The Office of the President agreed on several drafts of the upcoming union, and most importantly, a single political/military mechanism for a renewed state. In fact, it will be a new Commonwealth, but in a new format, which will allow Ukraine to instantly join NATO and the EU.

-----------------

Maxim Fomin (Vladlen Tatarsky) assassination - update

Text:

The organizers of the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg, which killed Vladlen Tatarsky, were Ukrainian special services and their agents, including Russian oppositionists hiding abroad - FSB

Also, the FSB said that the terrorist attack in St. Petersburg was committed by Trepova as a result of repeated calls by the leaders of the FBK Volkov and Zhdanov to subversive activities in Russia.

The murder of Vladlen Tatarsky, together with Daria Trepova, was prepared by a citizen of Ukraine Yuriy Denisov, who, through a delivery service through an intermediary, gave her an explosive device, according to the FSB.

Denisov arrived from Kiev in February through the territory of Latvia to the Moscow region, where he collected information about Tatarsky. After the terrorist attack on April 3, he flew from Russia in transit through Armenia to Turkey. The procedure for putting him on the international wanted list has been initiated.

Text:

Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant employees ask IAEA head to protect them and the plant from Ukraine:

On March 29, during his visit to Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, the IAEA head Rafael Grossi talked to employees of the plant. They told him that Ukrainian authorities put constant psychological pressure on them and their loved ones who remained in Ukraine.

"Please explain to Zelensky that we want to work peacefully and quietly. Stop shelling the nuclear plant, stop intimidating and blackmailing us. We don't want to have a second Chernobyl here," one of the plant's workers told the head of the IAEA

Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Security Council Vasily Nebenzya at UN Security Council discussing Nord Stream - April 13th, 2023

Text:

After the UN Security Council today refused to adopt a Russian resolution calling for a commission to investigate the terrorist attack on Nord Streams, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Security Council Vasily Nebenzya said, that "..suspicions about who was behind the sabotage are only growing. The U.S. has done everything to avoid an international investigation. First, Washington threatened to blow up the pipeline, then expressed happiness that it had been blown up. The U.S. and its allies are covering their tracks, refusing to respond to facts that are inconvenient for Washington. The detailed facts will still emerge, and all those involved in the sabotage against Nord Stream will be identified and the crime will be uncovered. It cannot be avoided."

Shoot the Archbishop and burn the church

This was stated by one of the opponents of the UOC (Ukrainian Orthodox Church), who called himself a pagan (read Satanist), in an interview to "Channel 5".

💀👹He said that Archbishop Pavel, who was put under house arrest, "should be taken to the woods, brought to his knees, shot in the head, and the video should be broadcast all over the Russian media. There should be no house arrests, no law".

As pointed out in the interviews between Judge Andrew Napolitano and Scott Ritter (and Douglas Macgregor) a little further back up, the CIA routinely uses officers in a notional journalistic capacity/cover to acquire information: the Russian's know this - the US too. It's also all a part and parcel of the process of spy swapping when one gets caught red-handed, that has gone on, well, for ever really.

Anyway, here's a response from Maria Zakharova:

Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova’s answer to a media question on consular access to US citizen Evan Gershkovich detained on charges of espionage

12 April 2023 20:18

Question: Will American diplomats have access to journalist Evan Gershkovich in accordance with Russia’s commitments cited by the US?

Maria Zakharova: The hype raised by US officials and the Western media around Evan Gershkovich is an example of flagrant hypocrisy. Let’s recall that he was caught red-handed and his journalistic status, as it transpires from a series of already established facts, was merely a cover for spying.

Demanding the immediate release of the American correspondent, the Joe Biden administration and Washington’s propaganda machine have announced that he is being “held illegally.” They are referring to the 1964 Soviet-US Consular Convention that they themselves treat like dirt and violate when Russian citizens are arrested or detained.

They do not mention that the US Embassy was informed in a timely manner about Gershkovich’s arrest. Meanwhile, in similar cases, our diplomats are informed with delay or not at all, especially if the US Department of Justice or the FBI are in charge of these cases, which is a violation of the consular convention.

At any rate, access to our compatriots is not granted automatically but often after lengthy approvals. In the process, they cynically ignore the US commitments stemming from this convention.

As for representatives from the US Embassy in Moscow visiting Gershkovich, this issue is under review and will be resolved in due time in accordance with consular practices and Russian law. The status granted to him by US authorities is of no consequences in this case.

Appeals by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and other US officials to their compatriots to “immediately leave Russia” are hypocritical and ambiguous. It is Washington that is hunting Russian citizens that live in the US or in third countries or that are there temporarily because American secret services and law-enforcement bodies suspect them of something.

Russian citizens that have become an object of this “specific” kind of attention have no chance for a fair trial or protection from the US’s punitive quasi-justice. As a result, they land in prisons with maximum terms. The Foreign Ministry of Russia has every reason to advise our citizens to display more caution when planning trips abroad, especially to unfriendly countries.

I would like to emphasise that it is pointless and counterproductive to make any attempt to pressure Russian authorities or courts by insisting on some “special attitude” towards US citizens who violate Russian laws. It is time for Washington to realise that we will not tolerate any interference in our internal affairs and will act exclusively in line with our national interests.

***

Here's a historical piece that may interest some of you: Eva Bartlett interviewing Maria Zakharova back in 2019. She, amongst other topics discussed, opens around this very theme of 'interference'.

Interestingly - and I didn't know this until recently - she also holds a Ph.D which oughtn't to come as too much of a surprise to anyone who listens to her and reads her obviously deep knowledge of history, one of those things that very often leaps out in her press conferences.

(From Wikipedia: Maria Vladimirovna Zakharova is the Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation since 2015. She has a degree of Candidate in Historical Sciences, the Russian equivalent of a PhD)

HUNTED! Russian Sabotage Unit Claims ‘First Kill’ Of Ukraine’s Leopard MBT By Drowning It Into A Swamp
April 14, 2023

German Leopard tanks have already begun to operate in the Kherson region, and one of them has already been ‘sunk’ by a Russian sabotage unit, the commander of one of its units told RIA Novosti.

Here, the shelling of checkpoints by German-origin Leopard tanks was repeatedly recorded. The Russian sabotage detachment captured a Leopard tank. They could not drag it to the rear, so they drowned it in a swamp. The Leopards are here, they are already fighting,” the officer said.

He added that Russian fighters recorded the use of German anti-aircraft missile systems from the Ukrainian side. Presumably, they were controlled by German mercenaries.

EurAsian Times cannot independently verify the assertions of the officer who claimed to have ‘sunk’ the German-origin tank.

Meanwhile, videos on social media show several Ukrainian tanks and armor getting bogged down in the seasonal wet ground, with some of them being hit, indicating Russia might exploit the geography to destroy more of them.

This also appears to repeat the famous World War 2 episode in the summer of 1941. Nazi Germany’s Operation Barbarossa in June, after piercing 500 miles deep into Russia and being within 200 miles of Moscow, had to suddenly contend with the freezing winter that incapacitated troops and machinery.

Along with a trail of broken down tanks and heavy vehicles that could not traverse the crude roads in the infamous muddy season of ‘rasputista’ owing to the rain and melting snow in October, the Red Army nearly pushed out Wehrmacht. It was later revealed that the Soviet Union used the time to prepare industrially and train better.

The same “rasputitsa,” also known in Ukraine by the same name, renders fields and unpaved roads impassable for around a month in the fall and spring. Tanks, troop carriers, and artillery pieces all become mired down in the soggy earth.

From Wikipedia,

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mykhailo_Nechay

Mykhaylo Nechay (24 February 1930 - 15 August 2011)[1][2] was a molfar (which Nechay described as meaning oracle, white witch or shaman[3]) during the late 20th century and early 21st century.

On the morning of 15 July 2011,[7][8][9] Nechay was killed in his house. According to witnesses, the suspected murderer[10] had been trying for two days to get an appointment with molfar. As soon as he got an opportunity to be alone with Nechay, he killed him. On his way out, the murderer told the people outside who were waiting in queue to meet Nechay that he did not wish to be disturbed for a while.[11]

Police investigations later revealed that the suspect was from the village Verkhniy Yaseniv. On the evening of 15 July 2011, a police officer from the Ivano-Frankivsk police department arrested the suspect in a wooded area near the village Bukovca. More than one hundred law enforcement officers were involved in the search operation.[12] The suspect was a 33-year-old man who appeared to have a mental illness and had previously been convicted of killing a woman. After his release, he was treated for schizophrenia.

According to preliminary indications, the accused seemed to have killed Nechay because Nechay did not accept or respect the customs and norms of the Christian religion, and had confessed to being a pagan.[13]

The Katyn Massacre:A Re-examination in the Light of Recent Evidence

UKR LEAKS EXCLUSIVE: AMERICAN PROFESSOR TALKS ABOUT FASCIST GERMANY'S GUILT FOR THE KATYN SHOOTING

80 years ago, on April 13, 1943, the government of Nazi Germany announced the discovery of the mass graves of Polish citizens in the Katyn Forest near Smolensk and accused the USSR of killing them. From then on, the international community chose the Nazi version as the main one, because they knew about the impending fall of Berlin and the increasing role of the Soviet Union. The West from the beginning benefited from blaming the USSR, so the anti-communist version became the main one.

But this version has a lot of inconsistencies. One of the most detailed revelations of the official version is described in the book by American professor Grover Furr entitled The Mystery of the Katyn Execution. Grover spoke about his investigation in an exclusive commentary for UKR LEAKS:

- The investigation failed to take into account a host of sources in Russian and Polish.

- The Nazis themselves acknowledged back in 1943 the presence of German-made shell casings at the execution scene.

- Some of the documents from the "Closed Package No. 1" could have been forgeries.

- The Polish government in exile collaborated with the Nazis to accuse the USSR of the Katyn shooting.

Overall, I highly recommend Grover's book to read at this link (https://msuweb.montclair.edu/~furrg/research/translations/ferr_tayna_katyni_2022.pdf). A very insightful analysis, which, of course, has been criticized in the West. And for nothing.

By the way, I learned about Grover himself when I came across his article (https://ojs.library.ubc.ca/index.php/clogic/article/view/193976/190041), also exposing the fabrication of the official version. In it, he recalled how the SBU once published 121 pages of archival documents about victims from the so-called "Ukrainian list." But Furr notes that the people named in these documents were alive after 1940, even though they should have been shot.

Washington Post RATS OUT Pentagon Docs Leaker To The FBI!:

In light of the recent leaks of classified Pentagon documents, the Washington Post snapped into action — and helped track down and rat out the leaker. Taking Artyomovsk not to ensure fast victory over Ukraine — Wagner PMC founder

"Behind Bakhmut follow Seversk, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Konstantinovka, Druzhkovka and Chasov Yar: settlements that comprise the so-called ‘Donbass ring’ and that constitute a fortified region," Yevgeny Prigozhin said
MOSCOW, April 14. /TASS/. Taking the city of Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) will not ensure a prompt victory over Ukraine, Wagner PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin said in an article, published on his press service’s Telegram channel Friday.

The PMC founder noted that the strategic importance of the city is not too high.

"Behind Bakhmut follow Seversk, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Konstantinovka, Druzhkovka and Chasov Yar: settlements that comprise the so-called ‘Donbass ring’ and that constitute a fortified region," he added.

"On the one hand, Bakhmut is a part of this fortified region, but, on the other hand, taking Bakhmut by itself will ensure neither a prompt victory over Ukraine, nor a clear road to Dnieper, nor even taking of Donbass," Prigozhin said.

He noted that there is constant infighting in Kiev regarding the "need to cling to Bakhmut."

"They try to promote this city as a sacral symbol," the Wagner PMC founder said.

"The Ukrainian Army has gathered enough forces. About 200,000 rather trained fighters that underwent two or three months of training and coordination are ready to perform their duties. The amount of weapons and ammunition is quite enough for these 200,000 people to commence an offensive on various directions," Prigozhin concluded.

Been hearing rumours of a "Kinzhal" attack on a NATO bunker in the Lviv region for the last month, which reportedly killed 160 NATO officers.

According to military observer and retired Col. Viktor Baranets, this missile strike did occur, and the bodies were simply left in the bunker.

It seems the Russians have developed bunker-busting technology.

Baranets: The bodies of NATO officers are buried in a bunker in Ukraine after the Kinzhal strike

The corpses of 160 NATO officers remained buried at great depths in the bunker in Ukraine after the exact hit by the Kinzhal rocket, about this writes military observer Victor Baranets on the pages "Komsomolskaya Pravda".

He says that the bunker was assigned to the western command post of the former Prikarpat military district and was buried underground by 100 meters.

The headquarters was engaged in coordinating the activities of the Armed Forces and developing plans for a counteroffensive operation by NATO officers, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of Ukraine.

The lamb believes that the decision to hit the bunker with the Kinzhal hypersonic missile was made after confirming the information on the development of a counteroffensive plan. The choice of this particular weapon is explained by its invulnerability to air defense systems and high accuracy - deviation from the target of no more than a meter.

The man claims that more than 200 officers were destroyed by the rocket explosion, only 40 bodies have been removed so far.

On the specified issue On March 9, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation limited itself to publishing a stingy message on its official Telegram channel that, that in response to terrorist acts organized by the Kiev regime on March 2 in the Bryansk region, the Russian army inflicted a massive «retaliation strike». The agency emphasized that the «Khinzal» rocket complex was used.

An indirect confirmation of the above was the publication of the Greek portal Pronews, which says that "Dozens of foreign officers were destroyed upon impact by Kingal hypersonic missiles at the joint Ukrainian-Natovo command and communications center. This has become a "disaster for NATO forces in Ukraine".

It's a close run thing as to what may be most infuriating to look at: Alexander Mercouris' wallpaper, but we can forgive him that as he talks such good sense nearly always. Or John Bolton's revolting moustache which I won't dwell upon. If it should leap off his face and run toward you take pains to capture it and then arrange to exterminate it in a manner of your own choosing.

This, today, from Simplicius The Thinker:

John Bolton Declares Total War on Russia

John Bolton will go down in the annals of history as an unparalleled devotee of war and endless escalation. It’s often been said that he’s never seen a conflict he didn’t like.

He’s now published a rabble-rousing OpEd in the Wall Street Journal that’s so wantonly incendiary as to deserve its own article response. It is a total declaration of war on Russia, with the openly stated intent to see Russia completely destroyed, balkanized, and absorbed.

It’s titled ‘A New American Grand Strategy to Counter Russia and China’. But nothing of the strategy is new, though it is decidedly American. The “strategy”, if it can even be called that, is breathtaking in its reckless brazenness.

I’ll summarize the main points. But first, it must be contextualized by calling to notice Bolton’s repeated invocation of NSC 68, which he mentions no less than three times in the relatively brief column. For those that don’t know, NSC 68 is the top secret document issued by Harry Truman in 1950 that effectively began the Cold War.

Sure, the start of the Cold War is typically thought of as even earlier, but this was the document that essentially cemented it with the types of hyper-militarization and massive spending the period was associated with. The document was existential in nature, invoking the end of all ‘civilization’, should the U.S. fail to stop the Soviet Union.

This mien is important to understand in order to truly comprehend the scale of what Bolton is now calling for; it is a cry of desperation of historical proportions. We know Bolton to be a war hawk without equal, but this is beyond the pale even for him.

So, here are the points:

- As mentioned, he invokes NSC 68, and states that the U.S. should immediately enact a new contemporary version of said policy.

- Washington and its allies “should immediately increase defense budgets to Reagan-era levels.” A major military buildup is ‘necessary’, at the expense of social programs and ‘income distribution schemes.’

- He references modern advances like cyber, drone warfare, and hypersonic missiles, stating that the U.S. has fallen behind in critical areas, particularly in the nuclear stockpile.

- He calls for the U.S. to resume underground nuclear weapons testing.

- He calls for the massive expansion of NATO by adding Israel, Japan, Australia, and others, ignoring, of course, the fact that the N.A. of NATO stands for North Atlantic. I suppose they can always change it retroactively to simply ‘Nuclear Armed Terrorist Organization’, as we’ve all known it to be.

- U.S. should “exclude Russia and China” from influence in the Middle East. He deliberately keeps the method by which he intends to carry this out vague, but we can only imagine what those methods might be.

- U.S. should develop a prototypical Asian-NATO which includes U.S., Japan, and South Korea.

- U.S. and European allies should provide Taiwan with much more military aid and also embed Taiwan into aforementioned alliances, presumably like the ‘Asian-NATO’.

- He states directly that “After Ukraine wins the war, we must split the Russia-China axis.” To do this he believes, firstly, that losing the war will “unseat Putin’s regime,” and that Russia’s ‘fragmentation’ east of the Urals is even possible (with the implication that U.S. should obviously push for same).

This region holds ‘incalculable mineral wealth’ (one could picture him salivating into his moustache) and according to him, China must be certainly “eyeing this territory” (projection much?). Russia’s Bering Strait region should be offered to China as enticement.

Bolton: "Significant portions of this region were under Chinese sovereignty until the 1860 Treaty of Peking transferred “outer Manchuria,” including extensive Pacific coast lands, to Moscow. Russia’s uncontrolled dissolution could provide China direct access to the Arctic, including even the Bering Strait, facing Alaska."

In short, the U.S. should push for Russia to lose the war, then be instrumental in completely balkanizing and fracturing Russia, then selling off the pieces to China in a bid to woo them into a new Sino-American partnership a la the Kissinger/Nixon/Sino-Soviet split era.

The utter callousness and total disregard for any norms of international law with which he candidly calls for the complete breakup of Russia is both appalling and shocking to witness. And to think this is a creature who maintains a hefty influence on policy in the Beltway is a frightening notion.

With that said, his ideas are as pedantically fusty and outdated as his appearance, merely rehashing old-hat Kissinger-era memes which would merely provoke a belly-laugh from both Russia and China. Bolton is the prototypical low-IQ MIC apparatchik who apes the ideas of greater men. He is exactly the type of worm that the ancient, civilizational-wisdom-bearing statesmen of Russia and China could do nothing but mock behind his back.

If he thinks enticing China with some Siberian mineral wealth like a cheap drug kingpin giving a sniff will sway President Xi from his deeply-rooted partnership with Putin and Russia, then he must truly have a Bolt-on brain, and not one of natural make. What these one-trick apparatchiks never seem to grok is that China’s memory is as long as the roots of the Ginkgo tree. They have emerged from their ‘Century of Humiliation’ with lessons learned and will never again fall to the whims and wiles of abject, two-bit Western creatures like Dolt-on.

For all his simplicity, his calls for mass global hyper-militarization on the other hand are no less dangerous. His pleas are likely representative of the ‘old guard’ of war hawks’ sentiments, which means these are the types of blind Cold War Redux escalations we can expect to continue on indefinitely.

But the Dolt should really be careful of what he wishes for. With the direction things are headed in his own country, it’s far more likely it will be the U.S. that fractures and is forced to pawn Alaska back to Russia, rather than his juvenile fantasy of glomming off Russia’s Bering Strait territories to China.

With that said, we must take his urgent plea as an admission of the Empire to the seriousness of the current ground-shifting changes the world is undergoing. Bolton himself references the shift of history’s tectonic plates in his opener:

"The U.S. and its allies can’t afford to drift aimlessly as history’s tectonic plates shift."

And the reverent tone with which he recalls both Xi and Putin’s recent remarks as to the ‘momentous’ nature of the world’s ongoing epochal changes, leaves one with the firm conclusion that the Empire, for the first time, is truly, duly worried.

They are scrambling to pit friend against friend in a desperate ploy to gain the upper-hand. But the civilizational giants with which the pipsqueak Eagle is toying with have no more patience for its flighty games. The era of Russian-Chinese dominance starts now, and the Bald Eagle will soon be just a plucked turkey.

'Russian Duma Report: Thousands of Ukrainians Used as Guinea Pigs for US Bioweapons Research, at Least 20 Died

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/04/russian-duma-report-thousands-of-ukrainians-used-as-guinea-pigs-for-us-bioweapons-research-at-least-20-died/

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/wp-content/uploads/Biolabs-Metabiota.jpeg

he Russian Parliament investigation into the activities of US biolaboratories in Ukraine claims that at least 4000 Ukrainians were used as guinea pigs for US bioweapons experiments, of which at least 20 died, reports Edvard Chesnokov in Komsomolskaya Pravda.

“At least 4,000 Ukrainians, mostly military personnel, became experimental guinea pigs as part of American research into dangerous pathogens. In the Kharkiv biolaboratory alone, about 20 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine died during “experiments”, and about 200 were hospitalized, including because the U.S. tested unlicensed pharmaceuticals on them”, Chesnokov writes.

One of the goals was to create viruses by means of “directed evolution” and study how the local inhabitants react to certain pathogens, Chesnokov claims.

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/wp-content/uploads/us-DOD-diagnostic-lab-ukraine-1-1.jpg

“Directed evolution” is a codename for “gain of function” bioweapons research, as Pfizer executive Jordon Trishton Walker revealed on hidden camera to Project Veritas in a video released in January.

“With the assistance of the Kiev regime, the USA created about 50 biolaboratories in Ukraine, where illegal experiments were conducted on the residents of Ukraine”, according to Duma deputy Irina Yarovaya, a member of the biolab investigative committee, who called the bioreaserch program “a new Manhattan Project”

US bioresearch activity began in Ukraine immediately after 1991 with the Nunn-Lugar programme run by the Pentagon’s Defence Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), according to Yarovaya. “The U.S. Embassy in Kiev actually worked as a Pentagon outpost, sending biological samples, including viruses and pathogens, by diplomatic mail both ways, to hide the truth from the rest of the world.” Yarovaya called it “a monstrous abuse of diplomatic channels.”

In 2005, then Senator Barack Obama visited former Soviet biological and chemical facilities in Ukraine, and “established the US Deep State roots in Ukraine to “counter bioweapons”, according to blogger WarClandestine. After 2005, DTRA contractor Black & Veatch built and upgraded 8 biolabs in Ukraine, including a biolab in Odessa for the study of “pathogens that can be used in bioterrorism attacks.”

Yarovaya noted that on the eve of the Maidan 2014, the Ukrainian Parliament Verkhovna Rada was considering banning foreign laboratories in Ukraine. The bill was shelved after the US-sponsored coup, which was backed by current Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, current National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and then-Vice-President Joe Biden., as Nuland stated in a leaked phone call 2014.

After Vice-President Joe Biden became point man for Ukraine for the Obama administration in Spring of 2014, Hunter Biden’s company Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners invested at least 500.000 $ in San Francisco-based US bioresearch firm Metabiota, as e-mails on the Hunter Biden laptop show.

Metabiota then received a $23.9 million contract to run biolabs in Ukraine for the Pentagon and the CIA. Metabiota partnered with Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance on the PREDICT program, which was initiated in 2009 to “strengthen global capacity for detection and discovery of viruses with pandemic potential that can move between animals and people” its website states, including “coronaviruses, the family to which SARS and MERS belong.” Critics like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. charge that this “preventative” research is merely a US government cover for banned bioweapons research.

The PREDICT project is part of USAID’s Emerging Pandemic Threats program and was led by the UC Davis One Health Institute, its website states.

In his book “The Truth about Wuhan”, Former EcoHealth Alliance vice-president Andrew Huff charges that EcoHealth Alliance developed the SARS-CoV2 virus “during my employment (from 2014 to 2016),” as part of the PREDICT program, which Huff worked on. EcoHealth boss Peter Daszak acknowledged working for the CIA, which invested in EcoHealth Alliance and Metabiota via CIA venture capital firm In-Q-Tel, Huff claims.

Huff also saw evidence of “the apparent testing of experimental drugs, therapeutics and vaccines on members of the Ukrainian military and local population”, he writes.

“By 2022, Ukraine planned to deploy a comprehensive biological intelligence system on behalf of the United States”, Russian deputy Irina Yarovaya charges, citing “possible ‘biological aggression’ of the West” as one of the reasons for the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The 207-page Russian Duma biolab report will now be sent to the Kremlin for approval, and then will be published for general study.'

Donbass town comes under deadly Ukrainian shelling – official
Four people, including a child, were killed when the town of Yasinovataya in Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) was shelled by Ukrainian forces on Friday, the acting head of the region, Denis Pushilin, has claimed.

“There has been more shelling of residential areas in the republic,” Pushilin wrote on Telegram.

Four civilians lost their lives, including a seven-year-old girl, while at least ten others were injured, he added.

Emergency services were deployed and the wounded were provided with the necessary assistance, the DPR leader added.

Yasinovataya has a population of around 37,000 and is located 25km north of the republic’s capital, Donetsk. The settlement hosts a major railway station.

“During the holidays, the enemy has intensified the shelling… Be careful,” Pushilin warned the public as Orthodox Christians celebrate Easter on Sunday.

Ukraine launched a total of 23 attacks against settlements in the DPR on Friday, during which 108 rounds from both multiple rocket launchers and 155mm artillery were fired, local authorities stated.

In addition to Yasinovataya, Donetsk and the settlements of Gorlovka, Panteleymonovka, Vladimirovka, and Peski were targeted. In Peski, one person was reportedly wounded by the shelling.

The DPR was incorporated into Russia last October together with the People’s Republic of Lugansk and Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions, following referendums in which the local populations voted overwhelmingly in favor of the move.

WSJ NEWS EXCLUSIVE
Social-Media Account Overseen by Former Navy Noncommissioned Officer Helped Spread Secrets
An American administrator of the Donbas Girl blogger network uses a pro-Russian persona across online platforms

A social-media account overseen by a former U.S. Navy noncommissioned officer—a prominent online voice supporting Russia’s war on Ukraine—played a key role in the spread of intelligence documents allegedly leaked by Airman First Class Jack Teixeira, reposting files from obscure online chat rooms.

A purported Russian blogger known as Donbass Devushka, which translates as Donbas Girl, is the face of a network of pro-Kremlin social-media, podcasting, merchandise and fundraising accounts. But the person who hosted podcasts as Donbass Devushka and oversees these accounts is a Washington-state-based former U.S. enlisted aviation electronics technician whose real name is Sarah Bils.

Russia first intervened in the Donbas part of eastern Ukraine in 2014, and most of the recent fighting has focused on that area.

Ms. Bils, 37 years old, served at the U.S. naval air station on Whidbey Island until late last year, even as the accounts she had established and supervised glorified the Russian military and the paramilitary Wagner Group. They are among the most widely followed English-language social-media outlets promoting Russia’s views.

In an interview Saturday at her home in Oak Harbor, Wash., Ms. Bils said she is an administrator of the Donbass Devushka persona, and acknowledged raising funds and hosting podcasts under that name. She added, however, that she is one of 15 people “all over the world” involved in running the Donbass Devushka network. Ms. Bils declined to identify these people.

On April 5, the Donbass Devushka Telegram account posted four of the allegedly leaked classified documents to its 65,000 followers, according to a screenshot seen by The Wall Street Journal. That led several large Russian social-media accounts to pick up on the documents, after which the Pentagon launched an investigation. Ms. Bils says another administrator posted the four files.

There is no evidence that Ms. Bils, who had a security clearance during her Navy service, has used that access to steal any classified information herself. “I obviously know the gravity of top-secret classified materials. We didn’t leak them,” she said.

Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder, a spokesman for the Pentagon, referred requests for comment on Ms. Bils and her role in reposting classified information to the Justice Department, which declined to comment.

In a statement in response to questions, Gen. Ryder said U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has ordered a review of intelligence access, accountability and control procedures within the Pentagon to help prevent future leaks.

The U.S. Navy also declined to comment.

Airman Teixeira’s posts had languished online for months, shared among a small circle of fellow war and computer-game enthusiasts who had joined his invitation-only server on the Discord platform. Even after another member reposted the files to a larger Discord server, they remained unnoticed by the broader public. It was only after the posting of some of the files on Donbass Devushka’s account that they turned into fodder for military enthusiasts and Russia supporters across the internet. Several dozen other classified files have been found in Discord since then, mostly dealing with the war in Ukraine but also containing a variety of secrets about other nations.

Airman Teixeira was arraigned on Friday for unauthorized retention and transmission of classified documents he allegedly took from the U.S. military. Airman Teixeira didn’t enter a plea in his court appearance and a judge ordered him jailed until a detention hearing on Wednesday.

The federal public defender’s office in Boston didn’t respond to a request for comment. Airman Teixeira’s family members couldn’t be reached for comment.

The Donbass Devushka Telegram account that Ms. Bils oversees describes itself as engaging in “Russian–style information warfare.”

Linked accounts using the same name on other platforms also promoted the Russian agenda after Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The Donbass Devushka network hawked merchandise featuring Wagner and the Russian military, promising to send proceeds for the “freedom of Donbass” and to help “our men on the front.”

Ms. Bils was promoted to the E-7 rank of chief aviation electronics technician in late 2020, a senior NCO position, according to promotion records posted on the Navy website and photographs of the ceremony on her former installation’s Facebook page. Ms. Bils left the military in November last year with an honorable discharge and with the lower rank of E-5, according to military records. The reason for that significant demotion couldn’t be immediately determined. Ms. Bils said she left the Navy for medical reasons, after suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

“Some very interesting potential intel,” the Donbass Devushka Telegram account posted on April 5, attaching images of four files that Airman Teixeira allegedly stole from the U.S. military. “The authenticity cannot be confirmed but looks to be very damning nato information.” The post remained online for several days.

Ms. Bils said that another administrator had posted these images, and that she was the one who later deleted them. “I don’t even know the authenticity of the documents or what they say. I am not very well versed in reading documents like that,” she said.

In addition to the Telegram account, established a year ago, the Donbass Devushka persona operates popular accounts on Twitter, YouTube, Spotify and other platforms. The Twitter account has been in existence since 2012.

Some of the slides reposted on the Telegram account overseen by Ms. Bils had been altered from the otherwise identical photographs allegedly posted by Airman Teixeira on Discord—changed to inflate Ukrainian losses and play down Russian casualties. A subsequent post on the Donbass Devushka Telegram channel, on April 12, denied that the image had been doctored by the administrators.

“We would never edit content for our viewers,” the post said.

Ms. Bils has recorded podcasts with guests advocating for Russian President Vladimir Putin and opposing U.S. aid to Ukraine, according to a review of the podcast content. As a podcast host, Ms. Bils, originally from New Jersey, spoke with a slight Russian accent and claimed to have been born in Luhansk, in the Russian-controlled Donbas. In an interview, Ms. Bils said she had “some” Russian heritage, without providing details.

Rachel Stevens, a former Navy colleague who worked at the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island with Ms. Bils, said a person in Ms. Bils’s position and rank would have typically held a top-secret clearance because she worked on sensitive avionics. Whidbey Island is the main naval aviation installation in the Pacific Northwest, and is home to all Navy tactical electronic attack squadrons flying the EA-18G Growler, in addition to eight squadrons of P-3 Orion, P-8 Poseidon and EP-3E Aries patrol and reconnaissance aircraft, according to the U.S. Navy website.

No evidence has emerged that anybody associated with Donbass Devushka played a role in Airman Teixeira’s alleged theft and posting of government secrets.

On Saturday, Ms. Bils said she doesn’t have access to classified information anymore.

Ms. Stevens, a photo of whom in a Navy uniform can be seen on the Facebook page of the Whidbey Island facility, said she worked with Ms. Bils in the same room in 2018-2020, before leaving military service. Ms. Stevens said she realized that her former colleague had “started this faux Russian persona online and asking for donations” after Donbass Devushka followed her small Twitter account.

The fact that Donbass Devushka isn’t a Russian from Donbas, as she presented herself online, but an American residing in Washington state, was first disclosed by pro-Ukrainian online open-source intelligence analysts and activists known as NAFO.

One of them, Pekka Kallioniemi, a fellow at the University of Tampere in Finland, posted on Saturday a series of tweets outlining the evidence, including the matching birth date of Ms. Bils in official documents and Donbass Devushka’s online solicitation of birthday donations.

The Donbass Devushka network has become a significant part of the pro-Russian war propaganda campaign, Mr. Kallioniemi said: “They were definitely one of the fastest growing English language, pro-Russian communities.”

Ms. Bils said in the interview that she doesn’t hate Ukraine or Ukrainians, and that she has long been interested in Eastern Europe. She added that it was “hypocritical” for the International Criminal Court to charge Mr. Putin with war crimes.

The Donbass Devushka Telegram account remains active, posting this weekend a video of a bear stretching and describing the governor of a Ukrainian region with the Nazi term “gauleiter,” for a top regional official. Addressing the NAFO campaign, the Donbass Devushka account posted an item referring to herself Saturday on Twitter and Telegram as “a woman who is proud of being Russian and Jewish, and of the country and its people.”

In a post soliciting funds and noting a bitcoin wallet number on another platform, Donbass Devushka describes itself as “a group of dedicated individuals.”

Another post, in September, announced a partnership with Rybar, a Russian open-source intelligence channel on Telegram with more than a million followers. In December, Rybar’s chief editor, former Russian ministry of defense press officer Mikhail Zvinchuk, became one of Mr. Putin’s advisers on mobilization.

A now-deactivated MyShopOnline page, linked in a post on the Donbass Devushka Telegram account, shows merchandise for sale as part of a partnership with Rybar, a Russian open-source intelligence channel on Telegram, in addition to other merchandise.
All the proceeds from the sale of Rybar-branded merchandise will go toward “efforts to help our men on the front,” according to a screenshot of the Donbass Devushka post. The linked page on the website MyShopOnline has since been removed.

Donating to the Russian military, a sanctioned entity in the U.S., is illegal. Asked in an interview whether she sent funds to Russia, Ms. Bils said she used the proceeds to fund the operations of the Donbass Devushka platforms, including buying podcast equipment for another administrator, and sent money to charities in Serbia, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria and Palestinian territories. She added that she has raised only a “small” amount.

An archived version of the Donbass Devushka page on MyShopOnline shows merchandise praising Mr. Putin and Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, and items with the “Z” symbol of the Russian invasion. The main image of the “For Fun” section is a redheaded woman in a Russian uniform pointing a finger at a submissive pig.

The Discord group where the classified files were originally leaked was called “Bears versus Pigs,” in line with Russian memes depicting Ukrainians as hapless pigs being slaughtered by the mighty Russian bear.

I'd not buy this to be honest.

Fairly typical IC decoy going on here. The information from DD has been pretty solid all the way through. Classic IC tactic and also using that Finnish *'Pekka' nut job to sprinkle some doubt flakes on the breakfast of the foolish.

Don't panic - no need; chill coffee or whatever constitutes sustenance. DD is a friend :flower:

No deletion necessary :bearhug:

(*Pekka is an asset)

UPDATE: I've been watching this reasonably closely the last few days. There's clearly a campaign going on to smear DD, very obvious to anyone following the Pekka nonsense, and that DD 'trended' recently.

Hopefully she'll be okay, that's a concern, but I'm hopeful she will. :flower:

CNN has released a pro-Russian report about Ukrainian refugees in Russia. Ukrainian telegram channels write that "Ukrainian (office) media managers are faced with the fact that the Western press has turned 180 degrees and now easily cooperates with the Russians and again promotes anti-Ukrainian messages, especially the negative against Zelensky (previously his image was untouchable)." So what's going on? West closes the "Ukraine project"? http://t.me/vicktop55/14645

Well, talk about advertising what you plan to do (or not) :) Classic NATO. Russia have solid intel, and they must be chuckling. It won't change a thing. The Russian plans will proceed largely as cemented by them anyway. The absurd theatre; chest thumping bellicose nonsense from our actual enemies - our self-appointed leaders - is transparently embarrassing. It is I suppose mildly entertaining.

According to this channel, there is evidence that the Ukraine military is blocking dams along the Dnieper River. The probable intent would be to flood Russian fortifications in the Kherson area. Some comments point out that the tampering of these dams would cut off cooling water flow to the Zaporoshnye Nuclear Power Plant, which could result in a nuclear catastrophe. (5 minute video)

Bombshell filing: 9/11 hijackers were CIA recruits

At least two 9/11 hijackers had been recruited into a joint CIA-Saudi intelligence operation that was covered up at the highest level, according to an explosive new court filing.

A newly-released court filing raises grave questions about the relationship between Alec Station, a CIA unit set up to track Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden and his associates, and two 9/11 hijackers leading up to the attacks, which was subject to a coverup at the highest levels of the FBI.

Obtained by SpyTalk, the filing is a 21-page declaration by Don Canestraro, a lead investigator for the Office of Military Commissions, the legal body overseeing the cases of 9/11 defendants. It summarizes classified government discovery disclosures, and private interviews he conducted with anonymous high-ranking CIA and FBI officials. Many agents who spoke to Canestraro headed up Operation Encore, the Bureau’s aborted, long-running probe into Saudi government connections to the 9/11 attack.

Despite conducting multiple lengthy interviews with a range of witnesses, producing hundreds of pages of evidence, formally investigating several Saudi officials, and launching a grand jury to probe a Riyadh-run US-based support network for the hijackers, Encore was abruptly terminated in 2016. This was purportedly due to a byzantine intra-FBI bust-up over investigative methods.

When originally released in 2021 on the Office’s public court docket, every part of the document was redacted except an “unclassified” marking. Given its explosive contents, it is not difficult to see why: as Canestraro’s investigation concluded, at least two 9/11 hijackers had been recruited either knowingly or unknowingly into a joint CIA-Saudi intelligence operation which may have gone awry.

‘A 50/50 chance’ of Saudi involvement

In 1996, Alec Station was created under the watch of the CIA. The initiative was supposed to comprise a joint investigative effort with the FBI. However, FBI operatives assigned to the unit soon found they were prohibited from passing any information to the Bureau’s head office without the CIA’s authorization, and faced harsh penalties for doing so. Efforts to share information with the FBI’s equivalent unit – the I-49 squad based in New York – were repeatedly blocked.

In late 1999, with “the system blinking red” about an imminent large-scale Al Qaeda terror attack inside the US, the CIA and NSA were closely monitoring an “operational cadre” within an Al Qaeda cell that included the Saudi nationals Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar. The pair would purportedly go on to hijack American Airlines Flight 77, which crashed into the Pentagon on 9/11.

Al-Hazmi and al-Midhar had attended an Al Qaeda summit that took place between January 5th and 8th 2000, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The meeting was secretly photographed and videotaped by local authorities at Alec Station’s request although, apparently, no audio was captured. En route, Mihdhar transited through Dubai, where CIA operatives broke into his hotel room and photocopied his passport. It showed that he possessed a multi-entry visa to the US.

A contemporaneous internal CIA cable stated this information was immediately passed to the FBI “for further investigation.” In reality, Alec Station not only failed to inform the Bureau of Mihdhar’s US visa, but also expressly forbade two FBI agents assigned to the unit from doing so.

“[I said] ‘we’ve got to tell the Bureau about this. These guys clearly are bad…we’ve got to tell the FBI.’ And then [the CIA] said to me, ‘no, it’s not the FBI’s case, not the FBI’s jurisdiction’,” Mark Rossini, one of the FBI agents in question, has alleged. “If we had picked up the phone and called the Bureau, I would’ve been violating the law. I…would’ve been removed from the building that day. I would’ve had my clearances suspended, and I would be gone.”

On January 15th, Hazmi and Mihdhar entered the US through Los Angeles International Airport, just weeks after the foiled Millennium plot. Omar al-Bayoumi, a Saudi government “ghost employee” immediately met them at an airport restaurant. After a brief conversation, Bayoumi helped them find an apartment near his own in San Diego, co-signed their lease, set them up bank accounts, and gifted $1,500 towards their rent. The three would have multiple contacts moving forward.

In interviews with Operation Encore investigators years later, Bayoumi alleged his run-in with the two would-be hijackers was mere happenstance. His extraordinary practical and financial support was, he claimed, simply charitable, motivated by sympathy for the pair, who could barely speak English and were unfamiliar with Western culture.

The Bureau disagreed, concluding Bayoumi was a Saudi spy, who handled a number of Al Qaeda operatives in the US. They also considered there to be a “50/50 chance” he – and by extension Riyadh – had detailed advance knowledge of the 9/11 attacks.

That remarkable finding wasn’t known publicly until two decades later, when a tranche of Operation Encore documents were declassified upon the Biden administration’s orders, and it was completely ignored by the mainstream media. Don Canestraro’s declaration now reveals FBI investigators went even further in their assessments.

A Bureau special agent, dubbed “CS-3” in the document, stated Bayoumi’s contact with the hijackers and support thereafter “was done at the behest of the CIA through the Saudi intelligence service.” Alec Station’s explicit purpose was to “recruit Al-Hazmi and Al-Mihdhar via a liaison relationship”, with the assistance of Riyadh’s General Intelligence Directorate.

A most ‘unusual’ CIA unit

Alec Station’s formal remit was to track bin Laden, “collect intelligence on him, run operations against him, disrupt his finances, and warn policymakers about his activities and intentions.” These activities would naturally entail enlisting informants within Al Qaeda.

Nonetheless, as several high level sources told Canestraro, it was extremely “unusual” for such an entity to be involved in gathering intelligence and recruiting assets. The US-based unit was run by CIA analysts, who do not typically manage human assets. Legally, that work is the exclusive preserve of case officers “trained in covert operations” and based overseas.

“CS-10”, a CIA case officer within Alec Station, concurred with the proposition that Hazmi and Mihdhar enjoyed a relationship with the CIA through Bayoumi, and was baffled that the unit was tasked with attempting to penetrate Al Qaeda in the first place. They felt it “would be nearly impossible…to develop informants inside” the group, given the “virtual” station was based in a Langley basement, “several thousand miles from the countries where Al Qaeda was suspected of operating.”

“CS-10” further testified that they “observed other unusual activities” at Alec Station. Analysts within the unit “would direct operations to case officers in the field by sending the officers cables instructing them to do a specific tasking,” which was “a violation of CIA procedures.” Analysts “normally lacked the authority to direct a case officer to do anything.”

“CS-11”, a CIA operations specialist posted to Alec Station “sometime prior to the 9/11 attacks” said they likewise “observed activity that appeared to be outside normal CIA procedures.” Analysts within the unit “mostly stuck to themselves and did not interact frequently” with others. When communicating with one another through internal cables, they also used operational pseudonyms, which “CS-11” described as peculiar, as they were not working undercover, “and their employment with the CIA was not classified information.”

The unit’s unusual operational culture may explain some of the stranger decisions made during this period vis a vis Al Qaeda informants. In early 1998, while on a CIA mission to penetrate London’s Islamist scene, a joint FBI-CIA informant named Aukai Collins received a stunning offer: bin Laden himself wanted him to go to Afghanistan so they could meet.

Collins relayed the request to his superiors. While the FBI was in favor of infiltrating Al Qaeda’s base, his CIA handler nixed the idea, saying, “there was no way the US would approve an American operative going undercover into Bin Laden’s camps.”

Similarly, in June 2001, CIA and FBI analysts from Alec Station met with senior Bureau officials, including representatives of its own Al Qaeda unit. The CIA shared three photos of individuals who attended the Kuala Lumpur meeting 18 months earlier, including Hazmi and Mihdhar. However, as an FBI counter-terror officer codenamed “CS-15” recalled, the dates of the photos and key details about the figures they depicted were not revealed. Instead, the analysts simply asked if the FBI “knew the identities of the individuals in the photos.”

Another FBI official present, “CS-12”, offers an even more damning account. The Alec Station analysts not only failed to offer biographical information, but falsely implied one of the individuals might be Fahd Al-Quso, a suspect in the bombing of the USS Cole. What’s more, they outright refused to answer any questions related to the photographs. Nonetheless, it was confirmed that no system was in place to alert the FBI if any of the three entered the US – a “standard investigative technique” for terror suspects.

Given Hazmi and Mihdhar appeared to be simultaneously working for Alec Station in some capacity, the June 2001 meeting may well have been a dangle. No intelligence value could be extracted from inquiring whether the Bureau knew who their assets were, apart from ascertaining if the FBI’s counter-terror team was aware of their identities, physical appearances, and presence in the US.

Quite some coverup

Another of Canestraro’s sources, a former FBI agent who went by “CS-23,” testified that after 9/11, FBI headquarters and its San Diego field office quickly learned of “Bayoumi’s affiliation with Saudi intelligence and subsequently the existence of the CIA’s operation to recruit” Hazmi and Mihdhar.

However, “senior FBI officials suppressed investigations” into these matters. “CS-23” alleged, furthermore, that Bureau agents testifying before the Joint Inquiry into 9/11 “were instructed not to reveal the full extent of Saudi involvement with Al-Qaeda.”

The US intelligence community would have had every reason to shield Riyadh from scrutiny and consequences for its role in the 9/11 attacks, as it was then one of its closest allies. But the FBI’s eager complicity in Alec Station’s coverup may have been motivated by self-interest, as one of its own was intimately involved in the unit’s effort to recruit Hazmi and Mihdhar, and conceal their presence in the US from relevant authorities.

“CS-12”, who attended the June 2001 meeting with Alec Station, told Canestraro that they “continued to press FBI Headquarters for further information regarding the subjects in the photographs” over that summer. On August 23rd, they stumbled upon an “electronic communication” from FBI headquarters, which identified Hazmi and Mihdhar, and noted they were in the US.

“CS-12” then contacted the FBI analyst within Alec Station who authored the communication. The conversation quickly became “heated”, with the analyst ordering them to delete the memo “immediately” as they were not authorized to view it. While unnamed in the declaration, the FBI analyst in question was Dina Corsi.

The next day, on a conference call between “CS-12”, Corsi, and the FBI’s bin Laden unit chief, “officials at FBI headquarters” explicitly told “CS-12” to “stand down” and “cease looking” for Mihdhar, as the Bureau intended to open an “intelligence gathering investigation” on him. The next day, “CS-12” emailed Corsi, stating bluntly “someone is going to die” unless Mihdhar was pursued criminally.

It was surely no coincidence that two days later, on August 26th, Alec Station finally informed the FBI that Hazmi and Mihdhar were in the US. By then, the pair had entered the final phase of preparations for the impending attacks. If a criminal probe had been opened, they could have been stopped in their tracks. Instead, as foreshadowed by the officials in contact with “CS-12,” an intelligence investigation was launched which hindered any search efforts.

In the days immediately after the 9/11 attacks, “CS-12” and other New York-based FBI agents participated in another conference call with Bureau headquarters. During the conversation, they learned Hazmi and Mihdhar were named on Flight 77’s manifest. One analyst on the line ran the pair’s names through “commercial databases,” quickly finding them and their home address listed in San Diego’s local phone directory. It turned out they had been living with an FBI informant.

“CS-12” soon contacted Corsi “regarding information on the hijackers.” She responded by providing a photograph from the same surveillance operation that produced the three pictures presented at the June 2001 meeting between Alec Station and FBI agents; they depicted Walid bin Attash, a lead suspect in Al Qaeda’s 1998 East Africa US Embassy bombings and its attack on the USS Cole.

Corsi was unable to explain why the photo was not shown to FBI agents earlier. If it had been, “CS-12” claims they would have “immediately linked” Hazmi and Mihdhar to bin Attash, which “would have shifted from an intelligence based investigation into a criminal investigation.” The FBI’s New York field office could have then devoted its “full resources” to finding the hijackers before the fateful day of September 11, 2001.

Alec Station operatives fail upwards

Alec Station’s tireless efforts to protect its Al Qaeda assets raises the obvious question of whether Hazmi and Mihdhar, and possibly other hijackers, were in effect working for the CIA on the day of 9/11.

The real motives behind the CIA’s stonewalling may never be known. But it appears abundantly clear that Alec Station did not want the FBI to know about or interfere in its secret intelligence operation. If the unit’s recruitment of Hazmi and Mihdhar was purely dedicated to information gathering, rather than operational direction, it is incomprehensible that the FBI had not been apprised of it, and was instead actively misdirected.

Several FBI sources consulted by Canestraro speculated that the CIA’s desperation to penetrate Al Qaeda prompted it to grant Alec Station the power to recruit assets, and pressured it to do so. But if this were truly the case, then why did Langley refuse the opportunity to send Aukai Collins – a proven deep cover asset who had infiltrated several Islamist gangs – to penetrate bin Laden’s network in Afghanistan?

One alternative explanation is that Alec Station, a powerful rogue CIA team answerable and accountable to no one, sought to infiltrate the terror group for its own sinister purposes, without the authorization and oversight usually required by Langley in such circumstances. Given that Collins was a joint asset shared with the FBI, he could not be trusted to participate in such a sensitive black operation.

No member of Alec Station has been punished in any way for the supposed “intelligence failures” that allowed 9/11 to go ahead. In fact, they have been rewarded. Richard Blee, the unit’s chief at the time of the attacks, and his successor Alfreda Frances Bikowsky, both joined the CIA’s operations division, and became highly influential figures in the so-called war on terror. Corsi, for her part, was promoted at the FBI, eventually rising to the rank of Deputy Assistant Director for Intelligence.

In a perverse twist, the Senate Intelligence Committee’s report on the CIA’s torture program found that Bikowsky had been a key player in the agency’s black site machinations, and one of their chief public apologists. It is increasingly clear that the program was specifically concerned with eliciting false testimony from suspects in order to justify and expand the US war on terror.

The public’s understanding of the 9/11 attacks is heavily informed by testimonies delivered by CIA torture victims under the most extreme duress imaginable. And Bikowsky, a veteran of the Alec Station that ran cover for at least two would-be 9/11 hijackers, had been in charge of interrogating the alleged perpetrators of the attacks.

The veteran FBI deep cover agent Aukai Collins concluded his memoir with a chilling reflection which was only reinforced by Don Canestraro’s bombshell declaration:

“I was very mistrustful about the fact that bin Laden’s name was mentioned literally hours after the attack… I became very skeptical about anything anybody said about what happened, or who did it. I thought back to when I was still working for them and we had the opportunity to enter Bin Laden’s camp. Something just hadn’t smelled right…To this day I’m unsure who was behind September 11, nor can I even guess… Someday the truth will reveal itself, and I have a feeling that people won’t like what they hear.”

Tech giant rolls out ‘drone detector’ 18 Apr, 2023

https://mf.b37mrtl.ru/files/2023.04/thumbnail/643ec727203027505d2cc72e.jpg

Kaspersky has announced a suitcase-sized, portable anti-UAV system

Leading Russian software company Kaspersky has developed a portable device for detecting small drones. The Antidrone Portable is a security product intended for government and commercial use, the company said.

The radio frequency detector weighs less than 5 kg and fits into a rolling suitcase. The operator uses a tablet based on Kaspersky’s Antidrone software to track drones with a graphical interface. The device can determine the exact location of most drone models within a kilometer-wide radius, along with the position of their operator, the company said. With a battery life of up to two hours, Antidrone Portable can be used to patrol the perimeter of a protected area.

Kaspersky introduced its Antidrone hardware and software in 2019, with the purpose of helping protect “critical infrastructure, industrial facilities, as well as transport infrastructure and public events from the misuse of drones.”

Vladimir Turov, the head of the Antidrone program, said the portable device was the result of constant research and iteration.

“Unmanned vehicles are evolving and the risks associated with their use are growing,” Turov said, noting that detection is the most difficult part of any drone defense. A small commercial drone is “almost impossible” to detect in a crowd or in dense urban infrastructure, he added.

While drone-mounted cameras have helped professional and amateur filmmakers produce breathtaking imagery over the past decade, it did not take long for the technology to become weaponized. Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) terrorists used small civilian quadcopters not just for scouting but as suicide bombs during the fighting in Syria. Drones have played a significant role in the Ukraine conflict as well, from scouting and guiding artillery fire to dropping grenades on enemy trenches.

Residents of Bakhmut (Artyomovsk) accuse Ukrainian soldiers of kidnapping children

On 11 April 2023, the Russian media RIA FAN published a chilling report in which a family evacuated from Bakhmut (Artiomovsk) by the Wagner group accuses Ukrainian soldiers of kidnapping children from their parents or relatives. The question that immediately comes to mind is why and where are these children being taken?

In this report, 11-year-old Milanya describes what she saw and experienced in Bakhmut (Artyomovsk), when the area where she was staying with her grandparents was still under Ukrainian control.

She recounts how Ukrainian soldiers from a unit called “White Angels” (which is wickedly reminiscent of the name of the pseudo-humanitarian terrorist organisation “White Helmets” in Syria) forcibly took away a four-year-old child, in front of her parents, who were powerless to stop the weapons pointed at them.

These same Ukrainian soldiers tried to take Milanya away from her grandparents several times, even claiming that the child’s mother had been killed by Russia, even though she was alive and well in another town in Donbass! But understanding that this was a lie, the grandparents and the inhabitants of the neighbourhood hid Milanya in order to avoid her suffering the same fate as the child who was kidnapped in front of her parents’ eyes.

See the report filmed by RIA FAN, with French subtitles:

Disturbingly, during one of these abduction attempts, the Ukrainian soldiers claimed that they had to take Milanya to Germany. Why Germany? Why not in another part of Ukraine?

And this is not the only testimony. On 3 April, Natalia Tkachenko, a resident of Bakhmut (Artiomovsk), told RIA Novosti how not only Ukrainian soldiers from the “White Angels” unit but also those from the “Phoenix” unit were forcibly taking children away in order to force their parents to leave for Ukrainian territory. If they refused to leave Bakhmut (Artyomovsk) with their children, the Ukrainian soldiers simply kidnapped them.

She explains that after the Kiev regime announced the evacuation of Bakhmut (Artyomovsk), the inhabitants were invited to leave for Ukraine with their families, and soon afterwards the children were sent en masse to camps and sanatoria.

“The children went on holiday and did not come back, and the parents were forced to go to Ukraine, even if they did not want to. Then, after a while, the forced evacuation of children by the ‘White Angels’ and ‘Phoenix’ units began. These were uniformed soldiers who went into houses, into basements, looking for children and took them away under duress, by force. If the parents agreed, they could accompany them. If the parents were against it, they took the children away. So there was a period when we just hid our children,” said Natalia Tkachenko.

She added that children were hidden in empty flats – where they had never been seen before – and that this went on for two or three weeks in February.

“I personally hid a four-year-old girl. She knew what ‘Phoenix’ was, that she had to hide. When we said ‘Quiet’, she would sit quietly like a mouse. One after the other, we would look out the window to watch those cars – if a car stopped in the yard or started to turn on its headlights somewhere, the adults would quickly take the girls, go to other floors to which they had keys, to cold flats. They would lock them up, they would sit like mice until the cars drove away, then go back to the warm flat to get warm,” the woman said.

If these testimonies of child abductions by Ukrainian soldiers in Bakhmut (Artyomovsk) are so worrying, it is because as this Arte report, published in 2019, reveals, one child in 10 victims of trafficking in the world comes from Ukraine!

However, I recall that in 2014, Ukraine already forcibly deported children from Donbass to other regions, and that several hundred of these children simply disappeared from the radar. Where have these children gone, and those abducted by Ukrainian soldiers in Bakhmut (Artyomovsk)? The mention of Germany in the attempted abduction of Milanya raises fears that these children will be sent abroad for all sorts of trafficking.

Instead of accusing Vladimir Putin of deporting Ukrainian children, the ICC would do better to look into the outright theft of Donbass children by Ukrainian soldiers in Bakhmut (and surely elsewhere near the front line), and the possible trafficking of which they are victims!

Warning a Major Nuclear disaster (5 times the size of Chernobyl) is Imminent If the attacks on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant do not stop. The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Station is in the Zaporizhzhia Region Of what is internationally recognized as part of Ukraine but by Russian law part of Russia and is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe and among the 10 largest in the world. It is under the control of Russia since early 2022. It was built by the Soviet Union near the city of Enerhodar, on the southern shore of the Kakhovka Reservoir on the Dnieper river. It hold 6 of what was the 15 reactors that powered a large part of Ukraine (from 20-60%). Now the reactors are mainly out of service due to the regular attacks by Ukrainian forces on the plant itself and the city.
In the report I traval to Enerhodar and show you the real situation inside the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Station, at the nearby Russian army military positions and see Ukrainian positions.
We also have an indepth look at the situation in the city itself showing the attacks on the civilian areas aswell as on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Station.

Gloves off (https://southfront.org/breaking-russian-fab-500-heavy-bombs-reportedly-began-destroying-ukrainian-grouping-in-bakhmut/):

https://s2.cdnstatic.space/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/bakhmut-2-768x501.jpg

On the evening of April 17, the western part of Bakhmut was inflamed by large fire. According to preliminary reports, the Ukrainian military positions were hit by Russian high-precision FAB-500 bombs with planning and correction modules.

Presumably, at least one strike hit the fortified area of the Ukrainian 241st Territorial Defense Brigade near Khromovo and the motocross track in Bakhmut. Another strike reportedly hit the intersection of the roads used for transfer of Ukrainian ammunition near the Eighth pond in the west of the city.

The remaining Ukrainian grouping in Bakhmut is massively concentrated in the small area under their control in the west of Bakhmut. Strikes of Russian aviation with heavy bombs will inflict more heavy losses to the AFU and destroy the military equipment transferred to the city. The use of heavy bombs will speed up the liberation of the city and minimize the losses of Russian ground troops.

Most hardware geeks have been looking for a moment like this for thirty years.

The recent Kinjal bunker attack was...buried...as apparently no one has tried to dig out whatever was left of the place. This one here is the Father of All Bombs, considered to be the most powerful weapon besides nuclear attack. "Concentrated in a small area" is a poor defensive choice against this. But you actually have a greater life expectancy if you betray the Ukrainians compared to fighting the Russians. You can live with the betrayal until you get caught! It may even take a few days! Or you could be accused of something you've never heard of!

With this thing and the thermobarics, I would have cold feet. I think I would just mutiny. Well, I guess you can't, because the commander is usually in an undisclosed position in another city. I have no idea what keeps that army moving forward if not serious drugs.

Russia could arm North Korea if South sends weapons to Ukraine – Medvedev 19 Apr, 2023

The former president responded to Seoul’s suggestion that it could send lethal aid to Kiev

Moscow could offer advanced weapons to North Korea if South Korea begins to supply military aid to Ukraine, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has suggested.

South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol indicated a possible policy shift regarding the Ukraine conflict in an interview with Reuters on Wednesday, ahead of a state visit to the US next week.

“If there is a situation the international community cannot condone, such as any large-scale attack on civilians, massacre or serious violation of the laws of war, it might be difficult for us to insist only on humanitarian or financial support,” Yoon said.

“Considering our relationship with the parties engaged in the war and developments in the battlefield, we will take the most appropriate measures,” he added.

Medvedev, who currently serves as deputy chair of the Russian National Security Council, noted that Seoul had thus far refused to supply lethal aid to Kiev.

“I wonder what the residents of this nation would say when they see the newest example of Russian weapons in possession of their closest neighbors, our partners from the DPRK [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea]?” Medvedev wrote on social media.

Yoon told Reuters that he plans to discuss with US President Joe Biden how the two nations can achieve “tangible outcomes” in deterring North Korea.

He added that Seoul is developing “ultra-high-performance, high-power weapons” to fend off perceived threats from its neighbor. Last week, Pyongyang reported testing its first solid-propellant intercontinental ballistic missile.

South Korea, which is a major arms producer, has refrained from sending lethal aid to Ukraine, citing its policy against supplying weapons to war zones. President Yoon’s office insisted his remarks to Reuters did not signal a policy change, according to the Yonhap news agency.

South Korean media claimed last week that the country had considered “loaning” the US some 500,000 rounds for 155mm artillery guns. Ukraine is reportedly in desperate need of this type of munition for the conflict with Russia.

A government official described the arrangement to the Dong-A Ilbo newspaper as “indirect aid to Ukraine” which would supposedly show that Seoul was a responsible member of the international community “without provoking Russia.”

Parts of an American satellite, which was supposed to burn up over the Sahara, fell on Kyiv yesterday.

The device, which was associated with the outbreak in Kyiv, burned down over the Sahara. "NASA expected most of the craft to burn up in the atmosphere, but some of its fragments may survive the de-orbit. To date, NASA has not received any reports that damage or injury was caused as a result of the de-orbiting craft," NASA spokesman Robert Margetta said in a statement. http://t.me/vicktop55/14743

Yeah mucho macho against disarmed priests...

but no cojones to visit the meat grinder? pussy Nazis!

I wrote many times how this "conflict" sound like a Deja Vu from WW2...
At that time were judes, gipsy, comunist, whatever and whomever don't pass the "purity" test...

BUT, if this "conflict" is just a replay from the past, I hoard all pop corn I can find for the happy end!

Not the Führer and his pets "end" : suicide? escape? we will never know...

But another much more plausible end: Mussolini style (from the people hanged, he and his wife)

who isn't 100% putrid Nazi, is been injected with rage against the mini me Führer and his wife, who just lived la dolce vita all the time, drunk in cocaine and use the dollars, euros, all the money injected, as toilet paper/ roll joints/sniffed
and so on, you get the picture...

If after all the cocks orgy this "people" has 2 neurons still working, they should escape right now!

Every day the HATE grow bigger against them, from all population sectors...

We could make a lotto in Avalon : who get at them first! the populace or the military?

Remember: The Rumania dictator Ceausescu and wife ( from the people hanged)

stay tune! (with pop corn!)

Yes! And the video title has a typo... it was $400 million. :)

Yeah, I heard a rumour Ukraine's got bit of a corruption problem (https://www.theguardian.com/news/2015/feb/04/welcome-to-the-most-corrupt-nation-in-europe-ukraine) apparently

50772

Remember way back in 2009, when Vice President Biden visited Kiev (https://www.france24.com/en/20090721-biden-reassures-ukraine-us-backing-) to fix Ukraine's problem

50773

When Joe peddled for Ukrainian NATO bases to surround Russia (https://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/22/world/europe/22biden.html). He also liked the local girls (https://foreignpolicy.com/2009/07/21/ukraine-girls-really-knock-biden-out/)

50774

Finally he got round to Ukraine's corruption problem, charging this guy to look into it

1549766770214387712
2023, Biden's now President. Ukrainian girls are still beautiful. Albeit pissed that their home's become a wrecked NATO proxy (https://thegrayzone.com/2023/02/27/europeans-protest-natos-proxy-war/)

TPpGZE0tOEY
Good news tho, the same anti-corruption guy's taking a closer look into Ukraine's corruption problem (https://www.rt.com/russia/566935-they-robbed-ukraine/) :noidea:

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that UAF strikes on Russian territory is an acceptable tactic.
“As long as there are no attacks on cities, civilians and civilian areas, this has to be accepted as a necessity,” Pistorius said.
According to the German Minister of Defense, such actions by the Armed Forces of Ukraine may not necessarily be carried out with malicious intent, these may be necessary measures to cut off supply lines.

Pistorius obviously did not think that in this way Russian strikes on German territory would become acceptable - "to cut off the supply routes" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

BAKHMUT UPDATE: Bakhmut is a linchpin in the Ukrainian's line of defense in the Donbas. So, losing it will accelerate the Russian advance possibly to the Dnieper River. The Russian forces have taken around 90% of Bakhmut. As the Russian forces advance in Bakhmut, the remaining positions for Ukraine shrink. This allows the Russians to concentrate fire upon what remains of the Ukrainian army there. With superior fire power, this means the Russian meat grinder in Bakhmut becomes more intense and effective. Soon the last road into/out of Bakhmut will be under Russian physical control giving Russia 100% control over this vital road for the Ukrainian "defenders" of Bakhmut.

CROSSING THE RED LINE: At this point both Russia and NATO know that the West has crossed way too many red lines. So, Ukraine being included into NATO will make no difference. Russia knows this conflict is going nuclear and is planning accordingly. Now Ukraine has Western tanks with F-16s soon to follow. Just about all that is left is for USA nukes to be placed into Ukraine.

Putin is fully aware of the escalation and is planning accordingly. Between now until his forces take the Donbas, the bear will be positioning its nukes for direct attack upon the USA. Whenever the Donbas is taken, the bear will launch its nuclear missiles and torpedoes against the USA. The USA will go down in one hour.

MY BEST TIMING ESTIMATE (2023): Bakhmut falls around May 1, Rest of Donbas falls around July 1, Russia makes its final preps for a nuclear launch directly against the USA from now until early July, Russia launches within two weeks after it takes and secures the Donbas.

REGARDLESS: Regardless of the accuracy or lack of accuracy of "MY BEST TIMING ESTIMATE", Russia will launch against the USA soon after the Donbas falls.

Vladimir Putin dosent need to take the drastic (understatement) action you suggest. Only desperate people do desperate things.
Russia has won this war, on any level, gage or definition you care to mention. But don't hold your breath waiting for Washington to announce it.RESPONSE: Mark2, Russia has no choice but to launch. Putin knows that Biden and show will escalate this conflict to the point that the USA launches. Russia can not afford to allow the USA to have the first strike advantage. That is why Putin has given his generals the orders to escalate the time table to take the Donbas. Soon afterward, Russia will launch against the USA.

Ukraine planned to attack Russian forces in Syria: Pentagon leaks
Ukrainian military intelligence developed plans to conduct covert attacks on Russian forces in Syria, allegedly using secret Kurdish help to avoid implicating the Ukrainian government. Details of the plans, which were halted in December by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, come from a leaked top-secret US intelligence document, the Washington Post reported on 20 April.

The Washington Post claims it obtained the document from a cache of intelligence material allegedly leaked to a Discord chatroom by Jack Teixeira, a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard.

In 2015, the Russian military intervened in Syria to prevent Damascus from falling to Western and Gulf-backed extremist groups including ISIS and the Nusra Front.

Russian forces have remained in Syria at the invitation of the Syrian government since that time.

Attacks on Russian forces in Syria “might raise the threat level to the point where the Russians would need to call in reinforcements,” which could force Russia to divert resources from the war in Ukraine, noted Aron Lund, a Syria expert from the Century International think tank.

The document considered possible targets including Latakia’s Bassel al-Assad Airport, which shares facilities with Russia’s Hmeimim Air Base (Hmeimim was the target of a UAV drone attack in 2018), Russia’s naval base in Tartus, or oil and gas infrastructure near Palmyra in Syria’s east and defended by the Wagner Group, a private military company integrated within the Russian military.

According to the document, Ukraine considered training operatives of the Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to strike Russian targets and conduct “unspecified ‘direct action’ activities along with UAV [unmanned aerial vehicle] attacks,” the Washington Post noted.

The SDF was created in 2015, when the US military partnered with the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) to conquer areas then controlled by ISIS in Deir Ezzor and Raqqa, including Syria’s most important energy and grain producing regions.

The Washington Post noted further that, “As planning occurred last fall, the SDF sought training, air defense systems and a guarantee that its role would be kept secret in exchange for supporting Ukrainian operations. The leadership of the SDF also forbade strikes on Russian positions in Kurdish areas, the document says.”

However, SDF spokesperson Farhad Shami rejected the allegations. “The documents that you are talking about regarding our forces are not real; our forces have never been a side in the Russian-Ukrainian war,” Shami said.

The Washington Post report comes one day after Syrian Kurdish leaders expressed their readiness to meet with the Syrian government, with the aim of reaching a solution to the crisis in the country. The Kurdish offer came in the context of Saudi Arabia’s recent efforts at reconciliation with Syria.

In an interview with Al-Arabiya, prominent US Senator Lindsey Graham recently stated that any deal between Saudi Arabia and President Bashar al-Assad’s government would “jeopardize the American presence in northeastern Syria” and would be “met with resistance.”

The leaked document indicates that Turkiye provided input into the planning, stating that Turkish officials “sought to avoid potential blowback” and suggested that Ukraine launch its attacks from Kurdish areas in the northeast, instead of from areas controlled by Turkish-backed militias in the north and northwest including the Syrian National Army (SNA) and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly the Al-Qaeda affiliated Nusra Front).

Turkiye views the SDF as an enemy and considers its core military element, the People’s Protection Units (YPG) as a terrorist organization due to its links to the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which has fought an insurgency against the Turkish government intermittently for decades.

Aron Lund said that Ukraine’s plans represented a “high-risk project for the SDF,” which needs to maintain a good working relationship with Russia. “For the SDF to agree to something like this – it seems like a real gamble,” Lund added.

The Washington Post notes as well that “The Syrian battlefield ‘provides deniability options’ to Ukraine, the document states, because it could attack Russian positions previously struck by Syrian rebels, launch attacks from rebel or even regime-held areas, and attribute attacks to ‘front, defunct or active nonstate groups.’”

ISIS is one of the nonstate groups still active in Syria and has carried out numerous attacks against Syrian civilians and security forces in the east of the country in recent months.

:flower:

NAFO bullying exposed

I’m responding to an attempted character assassination by NAFO troll
@P_Kallioniemi
who prides himself with having attacked over 150 “pro-Russian actors and propagandists.”

His problem is that he picked the wrong guy for his cyber bullying.

Who is Pekka? A research fellow at Tampere University in Finland and a self-proclaimed disinformation expert. Ironic because most of the claims in his attack against me are false. I’m tagging the Dean of Tampere University
@SaariJuho
to make him aware of Pekka’s NAFO bullying.

First of all I’m in good company because some of the people Pekka has bullied on Twitter are
@ggreenwald
,
@mtaibbi
,
@rustyrockets
&
@jimmy_dore
. None are “Russian propagandists” or “grifters looking to make some easy money” as Pekka claims. They are truth-tellers, like myself.

False claim 1: Kim was deported from Thailand to Germany.

Truth: I was never deported from Thailand. I left voluntarily.

False claim 2: Kim was sentenced to jail and fled to Hong Kong to avoid prison.

Truth: I wasn’t sentenced to jail and I didn’t have to flee to avoid prison.

False claim 3: Most of Kim’s assets were released duo to poorly made warrants.

Truth: New Zealand courts released assets for my legal fees and living expenses, not because of poor warrants. Read about the political and corrupt US Govt case against me: http://Kim.com/whitepaper.pdf

False claim 4: Kim is driven by his hatred for the West and US.

Truth: I don’t hate the West nor the US. I love my fellow Europeans and have nothing against Americans. I stand up against corrupt politicians who are responsible for the US proxy war in Ukraine and risking WW3.

False claim 5: He’s a fan of Donald Trump.

Truth: I tweeted that Trump is a narcissist and egomaniac, that he failed to deliver on his election promises, made terrible appointments and that Americans have only bad options in a Presidential election between Biden and Trump.

False claim 6: Dotcom claimed that he worked with Seth Rich.

Truth: Seth Rich contacted me and offered information about the DNC. I rejected receiving the data personally and forwarded him to someone close to Wikileaks. That’s how Wikileaks got the DNC and Hillary Clinton leaks.

False claim 7: The (DNC) hack and leak operation was conducted by Russian intelligence.

Truth: A forensic analysis of the leaked DNC data by former US intelligence officials proved that it wasn’t remotely transferred. The meta data shows that the files were transferred locally.

False claim 8: Kim called NAFO a CIA botnet offering little real evidence.

Truth: Use Twitter advanced search to see my tweet history about NAFO and find a mountain of evidence that they are a joint US/UA Govt propaganda psyop attacking and bullying pro-peace voices on Twitter.

False claim 9: NAFO debunked that Ukrainian General Zaluzhnyi is a Nazi sympathizer.

Truth: The Internet has many photos of Zaluzhnyi posing with Bandera posters, Nazi insignia and members of the AZOV Battalion. NAFO was founded by a Nazi. His tweets against Jews were exposed.

False claim 10: Dotcom is nothing but a propagandist. He will not engage in any conversation and he definitely won’t listen to any disagreeing voices.

Truth: Here’s a Twitter space I did with “disagreeing voices”. Listen and judge for yourself what Pekka’s NAFO friends are like. https://twitter.com/KimDotcom/status/1596158333194412032?s=20

False claim 11: Dotcom was granted citizenship in New Zealand after investing $10 million US dollars in the country.

Truth: I was never granted citizenship in New Zealand.

False claim 12: Kim’s tweets are full of conspiracy theories, baseless claims and outright lies.

Truth: Pekka is spreading disinformation. He’s a dishonest NAFO keyboard warrior who engages in online bullying and slander, putting the good name of Tampere University in jeopardy.

An update from Juan Sinmiedo's Telegram (https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses/24070) channel:

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦🚀 On the attempted Strike by the AFU on #Kerch with the Grom-2 Tactical Missile System⚡️

🗓 Today around 08:30 (22 Apr 2023), Ukrainian formations attempted another strike on the Crimean peninsula from the Grom-2 operational and tactical missile system.

The missile was shot down over the waters of the Sea of Azov near #Kerch by RF Armed Forces' 3rd Squadron anti-aircraft gunners of the 18th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment. There were no fatalities or injuries, the shrapnel fell into the water.

In contrast to two previous attempts of 👉 strikes (https://t.me/sitreports/6909) in #Gvardeyskoye and #Feodosiya from the #Odessa region, the AFU changed its positioning area for the Grom-2 missile launches. This time the launch was conducted from the vicinity of #Zaporozhye and the distance was about 290 km.

Meanwhile, last night Ukrainian formations attempted to hit #Armyansk in the north of the peninsula from the "Alder" multiple rocket launcher system at a distance of about 100 km. All the shells were shot down by air defence crews.

📌 The Intensity of the Shelling remains the same at the moment. However, the relocation of the Grom-2 missile system to #Zaporozhye indicates that the testing of the battery of four complexes at #Tuzla in #Odessa region has been completed and the missiles have been brought into service.

The new positioning area in #Zaporozhye makes it possible to expand the geography of tactical missile use not only in #Crimea and near the Kerch Bridge, but also in the south of #Zaporozhye region and in the DPR. In addition, the redeployment of tactical missiles fully correlates with the preparation of the AFU for an offensive.

I'd just watched the latest Redacted video with Clayton laying out the highly significant developments in Ukraine and came to see if it was on the thread and it was - thanks Ravenlocke - see above post -

I'll put the YT link anyway....if this is all correct and it almost certainly is - it's mega -

Dozens of high ranking NATO and Ukraine Army officers targeted and killed as a response to provocation with the terrorist attack in Russia where a 10 year old boy died... a Russian missile/missiles hit a deep underground command centre bunker in Kiev -

Clayton remarks that NATO is finished as an organization and they are looking for an exit strategy - that the Pentagon document leak was to help create the exit - that the banks are keen to step in and begin reconstruction - then.............the focus will be on China.......

Clayton said Russia used a missile that is unstoppable - and the choice NATO has is to escalate or find a way to exit...

Thanks Jaybee for the YT link, and the summary of the video. I was listening to Clayton and forgot to put link so thanks so much!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Also that part about the ten year old boy, that was the attack in Bryansk, I think that’s the boy that was shot in the chest saving the girls and he was awarded the hero medal by Putin. We didn’t hear much about the attack but even Scott Ritter said it was a provocation against Russia, since the attack took place on Russian soil. And Russia did retaliate heavily.

Ukrainian general staff are desperately trying to change their defensive tactics in urban areas like Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Vuhledar due to the massive use of glide bombs by Russian forces.

Ukraine’s original defenses relied on having fortified areas in medium and high rise buildings, these would allow snipers and machine gunners operate on the upper floors. The lower floors would be used as weapon warehouses and headquarters of units in the basements.

This tactic has been made completely obsolete. Russian forces conduct reconnaissance using drones and then call in glide bomb strikes on the fortified buildings.

The FAB-500 bombs completely destroy the upper floors and anyone in them. The floors then collapse and any surviving soldiers in the basements get buried alive as there’s no any construction machines to remove the rubble

I told you that Ukraine will teach Russia how to fight. Any war has only one law - the one who wins is right and he judges the vanquished. You need not marvel at the brutality of this war. Everything is at stake here. And you and I are somewhere there too. From Dmitry Medvedev today, wearing his best diplomatic hat it seems. Or, perhaps not. :)

Twitter source: https://twitter.com/MedvedevRussiaE/status/1650425242169352193

"On the issue of making a Polackoukraine

The Poles are once again dreaming of restoring the interstate union with Ukraine and revival of the underdone empire, the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, “from sea to sea”. Having no intellectual powers for creating a viable image of the future, and living up to its reputation of a “country toppled over into the past”, Poland is drawing inspiration from 400-year-old maps, when parts of today’s Ukraine still belonged to it.

Imperial hallucinations are pushing the Polish society into the abyss of severe historical breakage. Warsaw elites can’t wait to see themselves taking geopolitical revenge on Russia, including reconsidering the Pereiaslav Agreement. Emboldened by the current circumstances, Poland has decided that the chance to absorb the remnants of Ukraine is to be taken now, or never.

Surely, none of the hallucinating Polish maniacs is giving any thought to the consequences. The fodder base of westourkaine will run out soon enough: there aren’t that many resources there. Besides that, the Poles’ memories of living in a polyethnic state have dimmed: the experience of co-existing with Ukrainians in a country between the wars, from 1920 to 1939, was quite complicated. It was the Polacks who, with their vanity and arrogance, ideologically fueled the emergence of nationalism and banderovschina, the strengthening of Uniatism devilry, and turning Galicia and Volhynia into a bloody satanism hotbed.

Poland doesn’t know how to be an empire, even though it is constantly trying to take up this hopeless act. Eventually, it comes out just as Henryk Sienkiewicz, a Polish Nobel laureate, wrote: “We know not measure in anything, and won’t know it, because for us, the immeasurable passion for an idea always goes hand in hand with immeasurable flippancy and … vanity.”

On the other hand, the Polacks still have 5-7 years to colonise parts of the former Soviet Republic of Ukraine, to get itself a horde of disenfranchised slaves, and to create a transport and logistics base. So, the destructive counterweight to Berlin and Paris as the driving forces of EU integration is almost ready. The Germans and French are getting quite anxious about Poland’s appetites (which also happened before, I remember it quite well from talking with their former leaders). And Washington standing behind this project, aimed at weakening the Old World, is seen with a naked eye.

I’ll now bring up a paradoxical point. In prospect, the underdone and ugly Polish-Ukrainian configuration is, in a way, beneficial to Russia. Having tasted blood, as it happened, RzeczBanderopospolita 2.0 can take up historical revanchism. It will then start to terrorise its neighbours with ungrounded claims by the “memory law”. It will turn into a rabid dog, biting everyone in Europe. Something of the kind can already be seen today. Reparation claims now addressed to Germany for the damage caused during World War II for an astronomical amount of $1.5 trillion are just the beginning. During centuries, the snobby Polacks have got used to living large off the others. To live off merciless exploitation of the Orthodox people of Malorossiya, off the unending aid coming from the kind USSR, and now, off the multibillion EU subsidies. And then this Polackoukraine, swollen again with the newly absorbed lands, will present Berlin and Paris with an exorbitant price list for “containing Russia”.

In the context of Warsaw’s irrepressible ambitions, one can expect claims of annexing new territories from Germany, as it is already happening with Czech lands.

Then the European leaders will catch up. And when they figure it all out, they will turn to us for help. And they will prepare a new treaty on European security to contain unruly Poland.

Surely, to overestimate the rival is no less harmful than to underestimate him. The Poles can’t wait to see themselves cool again, and all Russia’s resources drawn to contain the new RzeczBanderopospolita. Yet, Polacks have miscalculated their idée fixe: it’s no longer mid-18th century. Poland is not equal to Russia and will never be. That’s how Heavens ruled.

We need to understand one thing.

Poland – with or without parts of Ukraine – is an entity, already endlessly hostile to us. The presence of Bandera guerrillas in the Polish People’s Army won’t make a difference either. And it has no influence over the precision of the RS-28 Sarmat, Kalibr, and 3M22 Zircon at work.

Kremlin spokesman’s son has served in Wagner – PMC group boss 21 Apr, 2023

Dmitry Peskov’s scion has been a “regular artilleryman,” Yevgeny Prigozhin says

https://mf.b37mrtl.ru/files/2023.04/thumbnail/644309f985f54071354ad5ac.jpg

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of Wagner Group, has claimed that one of the sons of Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has served in the private Russian military company. The PMC boss made the revelation in a frontline interview published on Friday.

“One person I know is [Kremlin spokesman] Dmitry Peskov, who at one time used to be considered a complete liberal,”

Prigozhin said.

“His son lived part of his life in America, if I’m not mistaken, or in England ... [Peskov] came to me and said, ‘Take him as a regular artilleryman’. By the way, he worked out fine, as a regular gunner, knee-deep in mud, sh*t, on an Uragan,” he added, referring to Russian BM-27 Uragan self-propelled 220-mm multiple rocket launcher system.

Prigozhin did not provide any further details, neither specifying which conflict Peskov’s son took part in or even naming him explicitly. So far, Dmitry Peskov has made no public remarks on Prigozhin’s revelations.

However, the eldest son of the Kremlin official, Nikolay, appears to match the description provided by the PMC boss.

Early into the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Nikolay Peskov was slammed with personal sanctions by the US, with multiple allies of Washington following suit later on.

Son of Kremlin spokesman shares details on his service with Wagner Group 22 Apr, 2023

Nikolay Peskov revealed he has received the Medal for Valor for one particular feat in Ukraine

https://mf.b37mrtl.ru/files/2023.04/thumbnail/64444c5f203027022b71b249.jpg

The eldest son of Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Nikolay, has shared details of his tour with Russia’s Wagner Group private military company and of the action he saw in the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine. Peskov’s scion spoke about his experience in an exclusive interview with newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, published on Saturday.

33-year-old Peskov has recently completed his six-month contract with the group, manning a BM-27 Uragan self-propelled 220-mm multiple rocket launcher system. He revealed it was “entirely his own decision” to join the group, though it was supported by his “whole family,” with his father telling him it was the “right thing” to do.

“I considered it to be my duty. I just had to participate, I had to help everyone who was there. I couldn’t just sit and watch friends and other people go there,” he told the newspaper.

The son of the widely-known Kremlin spokesman served with the PMC group under a fake surname, with his comrades not being aware of his bigwig father. Peskov refused to reveal his alias, stating he “might need it in the future,” apparently hinting at prospects of a re-enlistment.

He also revealed his team has been quite “busy,” with the group performing a lot of tasks on the frontline. However, he declined to provide any further detail on their operations, stating only that one of the “interesting” sorties of his Uragan earned him, as well as the other crewmembers of the launcher, the Medal for Valor, one of the most respected active-combat merits in Russia.

“This was for a certain military feat. All my crew accomplished this feat. We had one interesting sortie. I can’t say more,” Peskov stated.

Dozens of foreign mercenaries killed in Iskander strike – Russia 24 Apr, 2023

Up to 60 members of the so-called ‘Georgian Legion’ were eliminated in Donbass, according to the Defense Ministry

Dozens of foreign mercenaries have been killed in a strike on the Ukrainian-held town of Konstantinovka in Russia’s People’s Republic of Donetsk, Moscow has said.

Up to 60 members of the so-called ‘Georgian Legion’ were killed and 15 military vehicles were destroyed in the attack, while 20 other mercenaries were seriously wounded, the ministry’s spokesman, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, announced during a briefing on Monday.

The strike, carried out using the Iskander short-range ballistic missile system, targeted a library in Konstantinovka, which foreign fighters were using for lodging and storing ammunition, he added.

“The eliminated militants of the Georgian Legion were involved in the brutal torture and murder of Russian servicemen near Kiev in March last year,” Konashenkov said

The Russian military possesses data on every foreign mercenary linked to the killing of Russian POWs, the spokesman claimed. “Every one of them will get their well-deserved retribution,” he added.

In early April last year, a gruesome video emerged online, which purportedly showed Ukrainian forces executing a wounded Russian soldier while the bodies of several other POWs lay in pools of blood nearby. At least one of the troops in the footage had his hands tied behind his back, and was apparently shot in the head at point-blank range.

The New York Times confirmed the authenticity of the clip, saying it had been filmed on March 30 in a village near Kiev. Ukrainian news agency UNIAN shared the video from the execution site on social media with the caption: “The Georgian Legion is helping the Ukrainians with mopping up Kiev Region.”

One of the members of the Georgian Legion, who was identified among the Kiev troops shown in the footage, had given an interview several days after the incident, vowing that his unit would not be taking any Russian prisoners.

Russia’s Investigative Committee has launched a criminal case over the execution, saying Ukrainian forces had “committed a harsh violation of the Geneva Convention on Prisoners of War.”

Russia Blows Up Underground Bunker With 200 High-ranking Nato Officers In Ukraine???

A Russian missile strike on a NATO bunker in Lviv, Ukraine, killed 200 NATO officers. This is what independent analyst Gilbert Doctorow said on the Iranian channel PressTV. He immediately added that this news will be kept quiet. After the Ukrainians carried out a sabotage mission in the Russian city of Bryansk, which left several dead, the Russians retaliated, Doctorow said.

Generals

The Russian army deployed the hypersonic Kinzhal missile for the first time. Of these, six were fired. One hit near Lviv in western Ukraine, the analyst knows.

The missile was used to destroy a deep-lying concrete NATO bunker that was currently housing 300 high-ranking Western and Ukrainian officers. Russian authorities said 200 of them were senior NATO officers. There would even have been generals.

“Did you read this in the New York Times? No. If this had been in the New York Times, it would have caused quite a stir,” Doctorow said.
Conspiracy theory

This has been called a conspiracy theory, but YouTuber Gonzalo Lira thinks the attack really happened. He bases this on several sources.

The fact that Washington is keeping this under wraps means that they want to prevent escalation and have already given up on Ukraine, Lira suspects.

The Pentagon plans to blow up the Crimean bridge? That really would be a savage provocation, I'm not sure if we will have a planet if this goes ahead, let's hope/pray it does not succeed or is even attempted! What are the thoughts of the Ukraine conflict analysts on this one, I am interested with people's opinions?

Colonel Macgregor in his most recent interview with Andrew Napolitano shrugged off Petraeus' 'nonsense', as he put it, by pointing out that he's using the language and tactics of WW2 in the strategy outlined, that is, firmly living in the past. But, yes, any further attempt to blow this, as happened last October (https://avalonlibrary.net/?dir=Ukraine/2022_Russian_invasion_%28Operation-Z%29/Kerch_Crimean_bridge_incident_%28October_2022%29) would likely as not be met with fire and fury.

What does puzzle me - but perhaps shouldn't - is why NATO mouthpieces are telling the 'enemy', Russia in this instance, what it plans to do?! Is this all an attempted decoy? Russia are of course very wise to all this anyway; have an ISR canopy over the whole theatre of battle and will already have contingencies in place.

Just in case Russian intel missed it ( :) ) here are some more plans neatly laid out (https://avalonlibrary.net/Ukraine/2022_Russian_invasion_%28Operation-Z%29/Kerch_Crimean_bridge_incident_%28October_2022%29/Support-for-Maritime-Raiding-Operations-Proposal.pdf), and mentioned way back on this thread several weeks ago now, a British production no less.

Tucker Carlson is out as primetime host on Fox News, this despite consistently pulling in a larger audience than any other cable news show. And one other area Carlson truly stood out is in giving a platform to voices on the left who would criticize the US proxy war against Russia, decry sanctions against Venezuela and call out government lies about chemical attacks in Syria. Guest host Aaron Maté and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger talk to special guest Jimmy Dore about the comparative dearth of critical voices on issues like Ukraine, Syria and Venezuela in the “liberal” news channels.

Z Special Unit

Z Special Unit (/zɛd/) was a joint Allied special forces unit formed during the Second World War to operate behind Japanese lines in South East Asia. Predominantly Australian, Z Special Unit was a specialist reconnaissance and sabotage unit that included British, Dutch, New Zealand, Timorese and Indonesian members, predominantly operating on Borneo and the islands of the former Dutch East Indies.[1]

The unit carried out a total of 81 covert operations in the South West Pacific theatre, with parties inserted by parachute or submarine to provide intelligence and conduct guerrilla warfare.[2] The best known of these missions were Operation Jaywick and Operation Rimau, both of which involved raids on Japanese shipping in Singapore Harbour; the latter of which resulted in the deaths of 23 commandos either in action or by execution after capture.[1]

Although the unit was disbanded after the war, many of the training techniques and operational procedures employed were later used during the formation of other Australian Army special forces units and they remain a model for guerrilla operations to this day.[3]

Kiev needs up to six times more troops and firepower than Russia for its counteroffensive to succeed, General Sergey Melnik says

Kiev needs more troops, ammunition and equipment to continue its military conflict with Moscow, Ukrainian Brigadier General Sergey Melnik told Spain’s El Pais in an interview published on Monday. Ukraine has already lost most of its professional soldiers as the conflict drags on, he admitted.

“The problem is that we have a lack of people and equipment,” said the general, who commands troops near the Russian border in Kharkov Region. “Professional soldiers… are already exhausted, injured or recovering. Or… dead,” he added.

Melnik said Kiev is now relying on “people without military experience,” who first need to be trained and have an “adequate [level of] preparation to face the enemy.” According to El Pais, the general also “stressed several times during the interview” that Ukraine needs more air-defense systems, citing the threat posed by Russian aircraft.

He also admitted that Kiev’s forces would need to gain massive superiority in manpower and firepower if they are to have any hope of succeeding with a planned counteroffensive. Ukraine will need “four to six times” as many troops as Moscow has fielded in its ongoing military campaign if it is to break through the defenses built by the Russian forces in their current positions, he told El Pais.

BREAKDOWN: What is known about the status of Ukraine’s much-hyped ‘counteroffensive’ against Russia? 25 Apr, 2023

The West has pumped Kiev with modern armaments and trained tens of thousands of its troops

How ready is the Ukrainian army for a counter-offensive?
So far, Ukraine’s planned military assault, originally announced for November 2022, has been postponed indefinitely. Foreign sources differ in their assessment of Kiev’s readiness for a counterattack against Russia and agree that it is difficult for the Ukrainians to gather enough forces.

What is stopping the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from advancing now?
One of the main problems preventing the AFU from carrying out the announced offensive is considered to be a lack of experienced personnel.

A large portion of the combat-ready, equipped and motivated cadre units of the AFU (as well as the NGU and Territorial Defense) have already been destroyed in Mariupol, Artemovsk, Soledar, Popasnaya, Lisichansk, Severodonetsk and during the battles in the Kherson and Kharkov regions in the summer of 2022. Meanwhile, a new grouping of equal professionalism and equipment levels has not yet been formed. However, NATO and US officials differ in their estimates of the number of AFU formations.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said after the Rammstein Contact Group meeting earlier this year that Western countries had managed to prepare nine armored brigades. This figure is questionable, however, as at least 837 tanks would be needed for that size of a deployment. After Rammstein, Austin reported deliveries of 230 battle tanks, suggesting a deliberate misrepresentation of the size of the Ukrainian group.

How many reserves has the AFU built up?
Michel Goya, a French army colonel and renowned expert on modern warfare and combat innovation estimates that no more than three or four Ukrainian brigades could realistically be trained and armed by NATO and the US in the time frame allowed.

At the same time, the recently popular estimate that Ukraine had assembled 200,000 reservists looks doubtful, since in this case the AFU forces would have to exceed the combined US and NATO forces at the time of the invasion of Iraq in 2003 by 30,000-40,000 (at that time it was 160,000). The most likely figure is 80,000-100,000, which have been trained both inside and outside Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s military operation. There is an important caveat, however. Apart from the combat experience and capabilities of the grouping, it is not clear which forces are the combat-ready vanguard and which are support units (the so-called "tooth-to-tail" ratio). If the AFU is planning an offensive like the US in Iraq, only 20,000 of the 100,000 troops assembled are actually combat-ready, the rest are support and sustainment forces.

What difficulties does the AFU face?
The conceptual problem of the offensive is the lack of surprise. AFU units are awaited from all directions – from Artemovsk to Kherson, so it is extremely difficult to surprise Russian forces in such a situation. Moreover, the movements of the Ukrainian army are well monitored, and it is almost impossible to accumulate a group of 20,000-150,000 troops unnoticed in such conditions. If they abandon massing their soldiers, and spread the forces across the front, all the advantages of large numbers are lost.

An additional difficulty is time. Delaying an offensive means not only guaranteeing the loss of Artemovsk/Bakhmut, which is being cleared at the rate of two or three blocks every 24 hours, but also disrupting the plans of foreign partners and nullifying all the financial and military aid provided so far. Moreover, every day that the AFU's offensive is delayed is an extra day for the Russian army to prepare and reinforce.

Another difficulty is the offensive reserves. Troops for an attack are divided into two types: vanguards and reserves, which are deployed at the point of the front where a breakthrough is planned. If the ground forces of the AFU are prepared for this, then the strength of any grouping in any direction can be safely divided by two. If the first wave of the AFU offensive falters, there may be no chance of a second. Repair battalions and a significant amount of reserve equipment must be ready for the offensive – this is impossible, given the total dependence on imports from the West.

Slow delivery of foreign equipment is also an issue. Although Bradley BMPs and Leopard 2 tanks are already in Ukraine, the amount of equipment is only enough to equip one or two mechanized brigades (6,000-7,000 men). The rest will receive light armored vehicles whose survivability in a high-intensity conflict is minimal.

Further, deliveries of Western air defense systems, essential to any major offensive, are either severely delayed, only arriving in the form of Stinger and Starstreak man-portable air defense systems, or in the form of short-range SAMs such as the Avenger and Stormer HMVs.

The main technical difficulty is the lack of significant numbers of attack aircraft and air superiority. Yes, the Ukrainian air defense system is still in place and functioning, but the stationary air defense systems are getting worse at dealing with missile attacks and cannot be re-assigned for the offensive. The number of operational fighters and attack aircraft in the Ukrainian Air Force is unknown, but a significant proportion of these could be shot down by the Russian Air Force at the start of the operation.

What if the AFU does not stage a counteroffensive now?
The AFU attack is likely to be postponed to a later date, by which time both equipment and men will have gathered in sufficient numbers. In addition, the weather is forcing adjustments – it makes no sense to advance in rainy and muddy conditions. The results of reckless attempts to attack are clearly visible in Artemovsk, where most of the roads are littered with wrecked AFU equipment.

This explain the English hate towards Russia...

How the English once planned to seize the Russian North

When he was expanding diplomatic relations with England, the first Russian tsar, Ivan the Terrible, could hardly have anticipated that, shortly afterwards, his “partners” would want to turn part of the Tsardom of Muscovy into their own colony.

The English set foot on Russian soil for the first time on August 24, 1553. The ‘Edward Bonaventure’ ship belonged to an English trading company known as the ‘Mystery and Company of Merchant Adventurers for the Discovery of Regions, Dominions, Islands, and Places Unknown’ and Richard Chancellor was its captain. The ship entered the mouth of the Northern Dvina and moored not far from the Nikolo-Korelsky Monastery, 35 km from Arkhangelsk. From there, Chancellor went to Kholmogory and then on to Moscow, where he handed Ivan the Terrible a letter from King Edward IV. From that moment on, the tsar allowed the British to trade in Russia

Ivan the Terrible wanted to make England his “strategic partner”, which explains his considerable hospitality. With the beginning of the Livonian War (1558-1583), ships of the Muscovy Company supplied Russia with saltpeter, sulfur, lead and tin; they also brought English engineers and doctors to Russia.
