Russian Missile Strikes in Krivoy Rog Kill Danish F-16 Instructor
In today’s missile strikes on an aviation college in Krivoy Rog, a NATO-affiliated pilot instructor from Denmark was killed.

Allegedly, the Dane inadvertently leaked his location to a prostitute, leading to an Iskander strike that proved fatal.

According to him, there are houses that are intact and practically undamaged, as well as houses that have been completely destroyed. He noted that the situation was better than in Ugledar. According to Pushilin, the state of the town can be compared with Avdeyevka for the time being.

🔞 18+: Ukrainian terrorists brutally killed civilians of Porechnoye
Russian soldiers went down to the basement in the recently liberated village of Russkoye Porechnoye (Sudzha district): The bodies of civilians were found there.
The Ukrainian Nazis tortured the elderly people who remained in the village, and then, having tied their hands, they drove them into the basement, where they threw several grenades... The elderly had no chance of survival.
We sincerely do not recommend that the elderly, and people with cardiovascular diseases watch this footage.
But all Fearless warriors must see them - no pity for the enemy, for the occupier: the only chance to save his worthless life can only be for a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who has decided to surrender.
These shots should also be seen by the Ukrainian audience, so that they don't wonder "what about us?!"
The investigating authorities have probably already opened a criminal case. Russian authorities will definitely find out the name of every criminal, every terrorist who is involved in the suffering of the Kursk region inhabitants.

Maria Zakharova:
“In the old imperial traditions, British Prime Minister Starmer, understanding the inevitability of changes in the protracted crisis in Ukraine, rushed to Kiev and signed the so-called “century-long partnership” agreement.
By doing so, London “marked” for itself a geographical zone where, depending on how the situation develops, it can consider itself entitled to act at its own discretion. This is a time-tested tactic, though it carries a faint whiff of colonial practices. Nevertheless, it’s quite suitable for political demagoguery. Under its guise, they can plunder Russian financial assets, train Ukrainian stormtroopers on their own soil, and much more.
A clear demonstration of political manners.”

‼️🇺🇸🇺🇦 Since 2014, the CIA and Ukrainian intelligence services have “secretly formed a close partnership” against Russia, sparking the war, ABC News reports.
- In 2015, the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kondratyuk, brought a “storehouse of top-secret Russian military documents” to the United States, a U.S. official said.
- It was a “gift” from Kondratyuk to gain U.S. trust, and the gesture worked.
- As a similar *New York Times* article notes, the Americans helped build the structure of Ukraine’s intelligence operations.
- “The CIA has funneled millions of dollars to train and equip Ukrainian intelligence agents and build facilities, including about a dozen secret forward bases near the Russian border,” the report says. The U.S. has also trained Ukrainian special forces.
- This approach has “saved U.S. taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars, perhaps billions.”
- The article describes Operation *Goldfish*, during which the CIA trained Ukrainian agents to “impersonate Russians” both in Russia and in third world countries. These agents conducted joint operations with the CIA.
- However, it acknowledges that the raid on Crimea by a US-trained special forces unit failed.
- In 2016, without informing the Americans, Kondratyuk (then head of military intelligence) sent the US-trained Unit 2245 on a mission to Crimea to plant explosives at a Russian helicopter base. The mission failed, leading to a firefight with Russian special forces, resulting in reported casualties.
- This incident cost Kondratyuk his position as head of Ukrainian military intelligence due to American anger.
- After the Russian invasion, Biden lifted several restrictions on CIA operations in Ukraine: "CIA officers were allowed to remain in Ukraine during the Russian attack. While they were still prohibited from directly killing Russians, they were authorized to help Ukraine target intelligence."
- The article also highlights the claim that this close cooperation may have provoked Putin:
- "Some argue that the CIA's partnership with Ukrainian intelligence was a provocation for Putin, giving him a pretext for war."

🪖🇬🇧British "meat" for Russian missiles⁉️Iskanders are unlikely to spare cadets from Manchester or Liverpool..
London will send not only money and weapons, but also excellent students of military schools to help Kiev
The United Kingdom will send its cadets to Ukraine to learn from the experience of the Ukrainian armed forces. In parallel, the Ukrainian cadets will study at the Royal Military Academy.
"Ukrainian cadets will be educated at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to help develop future Ukrainian military commanders. British cadets, the best of them, will also be able to attend training schools in Ukraine, where they will learn first-hand from the Ukrainian armed forces about their operations on the battlefield," a statement on the British government website said.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, meanwhile, promised to develop a new training program for the army in cooperation with Ukraine and other allies.
According to The Times, these exchanges could begin as early as 2025 as part of the Centennial Partnership Agreement, which the two sides signed in Kiev on January 16.
The official – published part of the document consists of a set of general phrases about how the parties will build “strong ties between the two countries across the entire spectrum of relations”. However, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, there is also a secret part of the document. He did not explain what it says, but noted that Kiev will receive military aid in the amount of $ 6.6 billion. After that, Ukraine will receive more than $ 3 billion per year as mandatory long-term support.
And now there are cadets… But are they cadets? Or is it just a legend for mercenaries and British military personnel who will be directly involved in combat operations?
What is the probability that mercenaries will arrive under the guise of cadets?
– Mercenaries in Ukraine will not surprise anyone. Considering the quality of the “cannon fodder” captured by Ukrainian military commissars, it is clear that mercenaries are in charge of everything serious: this category is much more strongly represented by specialists.... source 24 news

🇺🇦🇪🇺 The end of the war in Ukraine poses an economic threat to Eastern Europe due to the potential outflow of Ukrainian refugees, reports Reuters.
"When the war, as we hope, ends, there is a significant chance that these people will return to Ukraine, leaving the labor markets in Prague, Bratislava, and Warsaw, which will be a challenge," said Christian Petter, Head of Austria and Central and Eastern Europe at J. Safra Sarasin.
Europe is now openly admitting that they are solving their problems at Ukraine's expense—and the worse things are for Ukraine, the better it is for them.

🇺🇸☢️🇬🇧According to the US, it has begun deploying modified nuclear bombs in the UK
Speech by the head of the National Nuclear Security Agency, Jill Hruby, at the Hudson Institute:
“However, all is not gloom and doom. Our strategic partnership with the UK is very strong as is their commitment to their nuclear deterrent. And we have advanced our thinking together about critical supply chain resilience. NATO is strong.
The new B61-12 gravity bombs are fully forward deployed, and we have increased NATO’s visibility to our nuclear capabilities through visits to our enterprise and other regular engagements. We continue to work with Japan and South Korea, including in new trilateral science and technology efforts.
New alliances, notably AUKUS, have been formed that help us respond to the shifting global dynamics. And nuclear material removal and replacement efforts and nuclear security cooperation continue all over the world. In other words, we are not just observing change, we are advancing change of our own.”

🇺🇳🇷🇺👉🇺🇸🇬🇧Permanent Representative to the United Nations Nebenzya on the role of Washington and London in the attack on the Turkish Stream gas pipeline:
The attack on January 11 on the compressor station of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline in the Krasnodar region stands out from the series of attacks by the Kiev regime.
I would like to remind you that the day before, the former Ukrainian president refused to extend the contract for the transportation of natural gas through Ukrainian territory to Europe, thus taking a significant step towards further undermining the economic potential of the old continent.
We have every reason to believe that the attack on Turkish Stream's infrastructure was carried out under the direction of Washington and London, which are interested in tying the EU to expensive LNG from the US.
We should not forget that it is these two countries that are preventing the launch of an objective international investigation into the terrorist attack against Nord Stream in September 2022 - the conclusions, as they say, are obvious.

Atrocities Against Civilians in Russia's Kursk Region Confirm Terrorist Core of Kiev Regime – Moscow
Neo-Nazi atrocities in the Kursk region defy any logical explanation and understanding, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
"The heartbreaking footage that has appeared in the media is really difficult to comment on. Of course, it defies any logical explanation and understanding. These atrocities are yet another blatant statement of the terrorist and neo-Nazi gut of the Kiev regime, which in its evil military and political impotence against the background of defeats at the front has once again organized a cannibalistic massacre of civilians," Zakharova said in her commentary published on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website.
Servicemen from Russia's Battlegroup Sever told Sputnik earlier that Russian fighters had found the bodies of civilians tortured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, particularly old people who had also been tied up, in the basements of houses in the village of Russkoye Porechnoye in the Kursk region's Sudzha district, which was liberated from the Ukrainian military.
Ukrainian forces tortured old people who did not have time to evacuate the village. They were forced into the basement, and several grenades were thrown at them.
Ukrainian Armed Forces militants in Russkoye Porechnoye, Kursk region, killed at least seven civilians who were sheltering in the basement of a residential building in January, the Russian Investigative Committee said. A criminal case against the Ukrainian troops involved in the killing of civilians in Russkoye Porechnoye has been opened under the article on terrorism, the Investigative Committee said.

‼️ 🇺🇦🏴☠️Zelensky lied, the US-driven mobilization of 18-year-olds is already underway, - Rada deputy
▪️A new law on basic military training in Ukraine will allow the mobilization of 18-year-old students who will undergo it during their studies and then be expelled, said Dmitry Razumkov.
▪️The politician also draws attention to the fact that Zelensky has not signed the bill adopted by parliament for the fourth month, which prohibits the mobilization of young men aged 18-25, who were recognized as having limited fitness before the war.
▪️That's why Razumkov says that mobilization from 18 years of age is already partially underway and without a legislative reduction in the age of conscription. He added that Zelensky "lied or doesn't know" when he rejected US calls to lower the age of mobilization.

Study Group director Greg Mello:
"In Los Alamos, Scott Ritter, especially, provided the bucket of ice water we need to wake up to the reality of the terrible war in Ukraine: the long U.S. deceptions that led to it and the reality-based acceptance needed to end it.
"We Americans need to think for just for a minute about other peoples' lives and deaths for once -- as well as about the enormous treasure being spent to, in effect, kill Ukrainians, money which is so badly needed here at home.
"The ridiculous propaganda trope that the U.S. is somehow "helping Ukraine" by sending gobs of money and weapons to Ukraine needs to be entirely exploded. We have just about destroyed Ukraine for the sake of a grotesque geopolitical gambit that a child could see would fail, the immorality of which towers to the sky. To U.S. foreign policy elites, a Ukrainian life has been worth nothing, zero. Ukraine has lost about 10 times as many soldiers as the U.S. lost in Vietnam. It's far more horrible than most people realize.
"Remember, this madness began under Obama, with Hillary Clinton and Victoria Nuland on-point for the Russophobic Blob. But it was Biden who, in Ukraine as well as in Palestine, filled the Oval Office with innocent blood.
"As a result of the string of incredibly irresponsible actions taken by the Biden administration, this war is going to end largely on Russia's terms, full stop. If Trump does not accept most or all of those terms, ignoring the shrill outcry that will surely and instantly come, Ukraine will lose even more people and land. Ukraine would then be much worse off, and the specter of nuclear war would remain and grow.
"If Trump does not end this war now, on what will be Russia's terms, it will become "his" war -- and will be much harder to end, and much more dangerous.
"Trump has the opportunity to be a real peacemaker. Ending this war and creating an architecture of lasting mutual security needs all our support. It's the first step toward nuclear arms control. People interested in nuclear disarmament need to step up to the plate.
"In that new architecture of mutual security there will be no place for NATO, as will hopefully be seen by more and more people. NATO is very much an aggressive nuclear alliance that prevents peace, while helping control and subjugate Europe to U.S. wishes. To prosper in Europe, get rid of it."

The unhinged, destructive path of extremism is what brought Ukraine to ruin. Those that took power in Kiev in 2014. And their ethnic hatred of Russians.
"When they went after our language." A Russian speaking woman in Donbass told me. "I knew there'd be war." And its that extremism. That is bringing ruin to europe too.
The hatred was always there of course. In European academia. In the Baltic States. In the British establishment. Just like most Ukranians never hated Russia. Most Europeans don't either. Its the extremists that do. And too many of them have taken control of British and European policy.
Its been whipped up. By those wishing to divide Europe. Now Trump wants us to buy gas from the US. Not the cheaper stuff from Russia. We used to be the masters of divide and rule. Now its being done to us.
From hysterical European academics and the feral British press. To NATO leaders and the defence contractors. Its gone beyond Russophobia. It has become a self destructive mass hysteria. Like its brought ruin to Ukraine. Its only bringing ruin to Europe too.
Its why I write sometimes about how nice Russian people are. And how pleasant and civilized the society is. Because they'll try to make you hate. Hate so much. That you'll be blinded to even your own interests. That's what's happening to Europe with our insane policies on Russia.

Trump to Kiev; Talk to Russia or Else. Zelensky Deeply Upset. 95 Minute Call, Putin and Xi
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hATmD5J-Qh4 (1:15:29)
It seems from the heading (I've just started watching) that Trump may be forcing an unwilling Zelensky to negotiate terms and am concluding two things: one that Zelensky's reluctance is cowardly and has hidden behind the US/EU from the start of the Special Operation, and two that Putin may be willing to speak to Zelensky after all, when previously he said (paraphrasing) that he no longer recognised Zelensky as leader of Ukraine as his elected term had ended. Also, for Donald Trump to initiate talks between them indicates that he still has influence when, had he stopped funding to Ukraine immediately he would have lost that advantage.
PS: At around 20 minutes, Alexander said that Putin had had a meeting with the (Russian) Security Council where many world issues were discussed, and at 21:40 he reads verbatim what Putin said about Trump.

▪️It was also dishonest when some of our leaders promised that we would join NATO. I believe the U.S. and Germany took weak positions because they maintained dialogue with the Russians. They lost in that dialogue because they always referred to some past agreements with Russia,” Zelensky said.
🤡 Ironically, Zelensky himself repeatedly claimed that Ukraine would join NATO.

All of NATO Could Be Rendered Powerless by EMP Weapon – Ex-Pentagon Analyst
NATO’s perennial cycle of eastward expansion has been disastrous for European security, and “spells the beginning of the end of NATO as we know it,” Michael Maloof, senior former Pentagon analyst previously underscored.
A launch of an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) weapon at a height of about 200 miles from a satellite to explode a nuclear device up in orbit would knock out all the electronics of NATO countries, including the US, Michael Maloof, former Pentagon senior security policy analyst, told Sputnik.
“Look, in the United States alone on the East Coast, 70% of the US population relies on the Eastern grid. Around 90% of all US bases rely on energy from the local community grids. If those are knocked out, there's no communication. And the United States is not geared up for that,” he added.
Looking ahead, he predicted that fissures could tear the alliance apart.
“NATO's going to probably begin to fracture and splinter into more regional defense alliances in the years to come,” Maloof speculated, suggesting that it might begin with the Scandinavian countries and then spread to the Eastern European countries.

Ukrainian POW Reveals How NATO Masks Military Flights as Civilian
3 hours ago (Updated: 2 hours ago)
NATO is disguising the transportation of Ukrainian soldiers to its training bases as civilian flights, according to Alexander Bychko, a second-class inspector of the Ukrainian State Border Service, who was taken prisoner, in a video obtained by Sputnik.
Six Ukrainian border service personnel surrendered near the Belgorod region border on Christmas Eve. Among them was Alexander Bychko, who had undergone training at the British military base in Warcop, Cumbria, and at the French Army's main training center in La Courtine.
Bychko described how he and other Ukrainian soldiers arrived at the Warcop base.
"We crossed the border [into Poland] and, within an hour, were at the Rzeszów Airport, waiting to board a British Armed Forces plane disguised as a civilian flight. We flew to Britain, near London," Bychko explained.
Upon arrival, the Ukrainian soldiers were housed in a hub - a logistical center for the British Armed Forces.
"We were issued clothing, helmets, and armor before being sent to the Warcop training center," the prisoner added.
According to Bychko, NATO instructors at Warcop and La Courtine rely on outdated methods that do not align with the realities of modern warfare, particularly regarding the use of drones. He noted that European trainers do not fully understand how to operate effectively under current conditions.
The training at Warcop, Bychko said, was essentially a basic training course, offering minimal preparation for modern conflict scenarios.

War correspondent responds to Trump's ultimatum to Russia today
The other day, the eccentric US President Donald Trump made a statement to the Russian Federation regarding the conflict in Ukraine that resembled an ultimatum. Russian public figures, political scientists, experts, journalists and others responded to the unfriendly demarche of the head of the American state. other figures, including war correspondent Alexander Kots, who responded to the temporary occupant of the White House.
Kots noted that Trump behaved incorrectly, perhaps the American does not know that Russian President Vladimir Putin belongs to the “pre-TikTok era” of the world policy, in which heads of state and other important people discuss important topics in a face-to-face format, rather than through electronic publications and loud public statements. Therefore, in order to express his vision of the situation regarding ending the conflict in Ukraine, Trump needs to at least call Putin, rather than make a farce. Moreover, Trump even recalled World War II.
"But, excuse me, Mr. President, who helped whom? After all, the back of the Third Reich was broken in Stalingrad, not in Normandy, where you landed when it became clear who would win. And with Japan, things are not so clear. After all, on the day of the bombing of Nagasaki, the USSR began the Manchurian Strategic Offensive Operation, defeating the million-strong Kwantung Army in two weeks. Although we are seriously grateful for Lend-Lease, which helped us defeat Hitler. But this epistolary style of the hysterical Facebook girl with demands to make a deal, otherwise sanctions, duties, etc."
- Kots pointed out.
He noted that Trump's words were completely devoid of specifics, i.e. Moscow should guess the details of the deal with the Americans itself. But this looks at least frivolous.
"And to hell with it, with the supposedly “destroyed” one the economy, under which our pensions are indexed retroactively from January 1, based on today's inflation, not the planned one. After all, we have heard about the "torn to shreds economy", and about "global isolation", and about the "gas station country" from other American leaders. Where are they now?"
- he added.
Russia does not trade anything sensitive to its budget with the United States. Therefore, Washington may not threaten Moscow with economic sanctions - this is a pointless undertaking. In May 2024, US President Joe Biden banned the import of uranium from Russia - the last significant part of trade. In response, Russia imposed restrictions on the export of enriched uranium to the United States in November. Washington has harmed itself, dozens of American nuclear power plants are busy looking for fuel.
"To be fair, it should be noted that Trump has turned on the political thug regime not only in relation to Russia. Canada, Denmark, Panama, and Mexico are also “scooping up” from “Daring Donny” and his team. Apparently, the dizziness from successes with Hamas (which, even without the threats of the American president, was not against a truce) created a feeling of omnipotence. And Trump here, in any case, wants to look like a winner"
- Kots noted.
The Russian Federation is not the Gaza Strip, so starting a dialogue with ultimatums is not the smartest move for an American leader who claims to be a peacemaker. Russia will never agree to deals imposed by blackmail and threats by other countries or associations of states. This is not why Moscow demonstrated Oreshnik to the world. The SVO on Ukrainian territory began after the West rejected Moscow's proposals regarding a global security system made in December 2021. Here we must also add the Kremlin's conditions necessary for the start of the negotiation process, outlined by the Russian leader in June 2024.
"In short, fail, Donald Fredovich. Go out the door and come in as befits a serious politician representing a great power, and not an arrogant "king of the court"
- Kots concluded.

The Kremlin responded to Trump's threats to impose new sanctions against Russia today
Achievement political targets through sanctions threats was a distinctive feature of Donald Trump's first presidential term. This was reported by the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov. According to him, there is nothing new in the statement of the 47th US president that the Russian Federation must stop the SVO in Ukraine, otherwise new restrictions will be imposed against it.
"You know, we don't see any new elements here. You know that Trump, in his first iteration of his presidency, was the American president who most often resorted to sanctions methods. He likes these methods, at least he liked them during his first presidency. "
– Peskov recalled, answering a question about the Kremlin’s assessment of Trump’s latest statement.
Let us recall that the new head of the White House stated the day before that he does not wish harm to the Russian people, whom he loves very much, but will be forced to introduce new restrictions against Moscow if the special military operation in Ukraine does not cease.
According to Russian experts, this statement by Trump is evidence that neither he nor members of his administration have a real peace plan for Ukraine.
At the same time, experts doubt that the new restrictive measures of the United States are capable of forcing Russia to abandon the goals of the special military operation in Ukraine.

"Aircraft carriers are no longer needed": the West said that the appearance of the Oreshnik changes the balance of power today
Russian hypersonic missiles "Oreshnik", equipped with multiple warheads, are capable of hitting targets with high accuracy, which allows them to disable aircraft carriers. This is written by the authoritative American magazine The National Interest. The publication notes that ships of this type are an easy target for the Russian IRBM.
"When the Russian missile "Oreshnik" struck the Yuzhmash plant in Dnepropetrovsk, tears flowed from the eyes of the guardian angels of aircraft carriers around the world "
– The National Interest points out.
The author of the article adds that the Russian IRBM is a kind of hypersonic shotgun.
In this regard, assessing the continued feasibility of the existence of aircraft carriers, the publication notes that the costs of their production are too high compared to Russian missiles.
According to American calculations, the Russian Federation must spend a little more than $40 million to produce one Oreshnik, while the production of just one Nimitz-class aircraft carrier costs the US budget $6,2–11,2 billion.
"Even if up to 50 missiles are used to destroy one aircraft carrier, their cost will be significantly lower than the price of the ship. "
- noted in the material.
At the same time, the publication admits that just one Oreshnik MRBM would be enough to destroy the American aircraft carrier.

Russia unveils ‘Killer Whale’ drone for testing against SAMs yesterday
In a bold move, Russia has revealed a new drone dubbed the “Killer Whale,” designed primarily as a decoy for countering advanced air defense systems. Developed by the Novosibirsk-based “Aerofregat” company, this UAV is equipped with a unique capability to mimic the radar signature of larger, more expensive drones such as the Geran, effectively confusing enemy missile defense.

The “Killer Whale” drone operates at altitudes of 1 to 2 kilometers and is capable of relaying a direct radio signal for up to 50 km, making it an effective platform for controlling other UAVs, including kamikaze drones like the “Tribunal.” Its primary role, however, is to serve as a low-cost alternative to larger drones, offering the ability to draw fire from air defense systems and absorb costly missile intercepts.
Nikolai Zhernov, the head of Aerofregat, explained that the drone can carry up to 3 kg of explosives and fly for distances of up to 70 km, with flight times ranging between 40 minutes and an hour. In its kamikaze mode, the “Killer Whale” could deliver a lethal payload to enemy targets while minimizing the risk of more expensive UAVs being shot down.
The “Killer Whale” is part of a growing trend in Russia’s unmanned systems development, designed to overwhelm and confuse modern air defense technologies. As the battlefield becomes increasingly dominated by drones, these low-cost, multi-functional UAVs could provide a significant tactical advantage, offering flexibility and operational efficiency in high-intensity conflicts.
The “Killer Whale” joins a family of innovative systems coming out of Russia’s “Kulibin Club,” a group focused on testing and deploying new military technologies. With its ability to deceive radar and its potential to serve as a decoy or even a kamikaze weapon, the “Killer Whale” could prove to be a game-changer in modern warfare.

At the same time, the publication admits that just one Oreshnik MRBM would be enough to destroy the American aircraft carrier.
You don't have to destroy it.
Any damage on the flight deck makes it useless.
Oreshnik is like a big"!" but in actual fact, they are already useless against a peer rival. I'm not sure about Yemen, but anyone like Iran or China could do it. The carriers are only good against those without real defenses.
Moreover, only one of them could be deployed against a larger enemy. The United States lacks resources to operate multiples in situations requiring re-fueling.
The correct term for these is Floating Graveyards, which may be the reason the U. S. does not try to attack Iran, because it can't. The weakness and exorbitant expense is nothing new. Oreshnik can destroy whatever it wants. Where are the crocodile tears for the potential dust of the former White House?
Thank you, Russians, for pointing out this is a "locker room" president, or maybe one appropriate for late hours at the bar. He sounds like he just huffed several cans of freon. Not that there is a shortage of zombies to go "yes sir" no matter what. The times of force projection through places like Ukraine are over.

The U.S. State Department's bluprint for regime change in action, the protests feature all-too-familiar tactics, including the symbolic "lanterns in the sky", no cookies from Nuland just yet.....
Ukrainian media is openly calling this a Maidan, admitting that Ukrainian organizations are backing the demonstrations which is only causing more discord.
This comes after Slovak PM Robert Fico accused individuals responsible for Maidan and Georgian protests of operating from Slovak territory.

▪️In Terny, fighting is taking place on the southern outskirts, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces are using armored vehicles to shell Russian positions. Russian troops continue to attack in the direction of Kolodezi from the side of Ivanovka on the right bank of the Zherebets .
In this area, the Russian Armed Forces have recently managed to advance several kilometers in a westerly direction, repelling at least four attacks by Ukrainian forces in the direction of Ivanovka.
▪️In the Serebryanskoye forestry, Russian troops some time ago occupied several strongholds west of Dibrova - this is evidenced by published footage from the scene.

🇺🇦⚔️🇷🇺 New Ukrainian contraption on the front
On the front line, Russian units in different areas began to notice the appearance of new reconnaissance equipment among the Ukrainians, with the help of which they study the situation in the shallow rear of Russian troops.
Ukrainian servicemen from FPV drones drop special devices in the shape of a sphere near the positions of Russian troops, which transmit video and audio data from the installation site to the receiving station in real time for 50 minutes.
This sphere is relatively small, but it contains acoustic and sonar sensors that detect activity in the area of interest to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The information received is used to assess the situation.
In fact, the collected data allows the Ukrainian Armed Forces to obtain up-to-date information in the area where they may want to attack or conduct a sabotage and reconnaissance sortie. How? With the help of such spheres, they obtain information about the state of the stronghold, the number of people, the presence of weapons and the nature of the terrain, which is extremely important in tactical terms.
Therefore, Russian servicemen who have seen or are seeing such things at the front. Destroy them if found.

Full text of President Vladimir Putin’s remarks in reply to President Trump’s ideas on “the deal on Ukraine” (AI translation):
“P. Zarubin (Russian Journalist): Vladimir Vladimirovich, in recent days, the newly inaugurated U.S. President Trump has made numerous statements about a possible meeting with you and the prospects for a resolution in Ukraine. I would like to hear your opinion.
V. Putin: Indeed, the President of the United States has made many statements on this matter.
Firstly, I want to say that Russia has never refused contacts with the U.S. Administration, and it is not our fault that the previous Administration rejected these contacts. With the current U.S. President, I have always had businesslike, exclusively businesslike, and at the same time pragmatic and trusting relationships, I would say.
I cannot disagree with him that if he had been President, if his victory had not been stolen in 2020, perhaps the crisis in Ukraine that arose in 2022 would not have happened. Although it is known that Trump, during his first term as President, also imposed a significant number of restrictions, the most at that time, against Russia. I do not think this was a decision that corresponded to the interests not only of Russia but also of the United States itself. By the way, Biden picked up this baton and imposed even more restrictions. And the result is known – many decisions harmful to the U.S. economy itself.
For example, undermining the power of the dollar itself, because forbidding Russia to use the dollar – and we did not refuse the dollar, it was the previous Administration that did not allow us to use the dollar as a unit of account – in my opinion, this decision causes very serious harm to the United States itself. But we will not delve into that now. I can only say that we see statements from the current President about readiness for joint work. We are always open to this.
As for the issue related, say, to negotiations, in this sense we have always said, and I want to emphasize this once again, we are ready for these negotiations on the Ukrainian issue. But there are also issues here that require special attention.
For example, as is known, the current head of the regime in Kiev, when he was still a relatively legitimate head of state, issued a decree prohibiting negotiations. How can negotiations be resumed now if they are prohibited?
We are now within the walls of Moscow University. By basic education, as is known, I am a lawyer, graduated from the Faculty of Law of St. Petersburg, then Leningrad, University. I can tell you that if negotiations start within the current legal framework, they will be, strictly speaking, illegitimate, which means that the results of these negotiations can be declared illegitimate.
The current regime in Kiev gladly receives hundreds of billions from its sponsors, pardon the simplicity of popular expressions, as we say among the people, greedily gobbles up these hundreds of billions, but is in no hurry to follow the instructions of its sponsors – and we know that such instructions exist – to cancel the decree prohibiting negotiations.
But I think that eventually those who pay the money must still force him to do it, and I think he will have to do it. But as long as this decree is not canceled, it is quite difficult to say that these negotiations can be started and, most importantly, properly concluded. Some preliminary outlines can, of course, be made, but serious negotiations, of course, in conditions of prohibition from the Ukrainian side, conducting negotiations, of course, in these prohibitive conditions, discussing anything serious is quite difficult.
1/2
2/2 Overall, we certainly have enough points of contact with the current Administration, finding solutions to key issues of today. These are issues of strategic stability, economic issues, by the way. Why? We are among the largest producers in the world, say, of oil, the U.S. now occupies the first place overall, then Saudi Arabia, Russia.
But what is characteristic of the Russian and, for example, American economies? We are not just among the largest energy producers, we are also the largest energy consumers. This means that for both our and the American economy, prices that are too high are bad because energy resources are needed to produce other goods within the country, and prices that are too low are also very bad because this undermines the investment capabilities of energy companies. There is something to talk about here. There are also other issues in the energy sector that may be of mutual interest.
By the way, in this sense, I doubt that the current President of the United States, Mr. Trump, I repeat, we worked with him during the first period of his presidency, would make any decisions, even if we hear about the possibility of additional sanctions against Russia. I doubt that he will make decisions that will harm the American economy itself. He is not only a smart person, he is a pragmatic person. And I find it hard to imagine that decisions will be made that harm the American economy itself.
Therefore, most likely, indeed, it is better for us to meet, relying on today's realities, to talk calmly on all those areas that are of interest to both the U.S. and Russia. We are ready. But, I repeat, this primarily depends on the decisions and choices of the current American Administration.”

It's Official: US Abandoning Ukraine
Kit Klarenberg
All my investigations are free to access, thanks to the generosity of my readers. Independent journalism nonetheless requires investment, so if you took value from this article or any others, please consider sharing, or even becoming a paid subscriber. Your support is always gratefully received, and will never be forgotten.
On January 19th, TIME magazine published an astonishing article, amply confirming what dissident, anti-war academics, activists, journalists and researchers have argued for a decade. The US always intended to abandon Ukraine after setting up the country for proxy war with Russia, and never had any desire or intention to assist Kiev in defeating Moscow in the conflict, let alone achieving its maximalist aims of regaining Crimea and restoring the country’s 1991 borders. To have a major mainstream outlet finally corroborate this indubitable reality is a seismic development.
The TIME article’s brief first paragraph alone is rife with explosive revelations. It notes when the proxy war erupted in February 2022, then-President Joe Biden “set three objectives for the US response” - and “Ukraine’s victory was never among them.” Moreover, the phrase oft-repeated by White House apparatchiks, that Washington would support Kiev “for as long as it takes”, was never meant to be taken literally. Instead, it was just “intentionally vague” newspeak, with no implied timeframe or even desired outcome in mind.
Eric Green, a member of Biden’s National Security Council who oversaw Russia policy, states the US “deliberately…made no promise” to President Volodymyr Zelensky to “recover all of the land Russia had occupied” since the conflict’s inception, “and certainly not” Crimea or the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. He said the White House believed “doing so was beyond Ukraine’s ability, even with robust help from the West.” It was well-understood such efforts were “not going to be a success story ultimately” for Kiev, if tried.
According to TIME, the Biden administration’s three key objectives in Ukraine were all “achieved”. Nonetheless, “success” on these fronts “provides little satisfaction” to some of the former President’s “closest allies and advisers.” Green was quoted as saying Washington’s purported victory in Ukraine was “unfortunately the kind of success where you don’t feel great about it,” due to Kiev’s “suffering”, and “so much uncertainty about where it’s ultimately going to land.”
‘Direct Conflict’
One objective was “avoiding direct conflict between Russia and NATO.” Miraculously, despite the US and its allies consistently crossing Moscow’s clearly stated red lines on assistance to Kiev, providing Ukraine with weaponry and other support Biden himself explicitly and vehemently ruled out in March 2022, on the grounds it could cause World War III, and greenlighting hazardously escalatory strikes deep inside Russian territory, so far all-out hot war has failed to materialise. On this front perhaps, the former President can be said to have triumphed.
However, another “was for Ukraine to survive as a sovereign, democratic country free to pursue integration with the West.” This prospect dwindles daily, as the proxy war’s frontline teeters constantly on total collapse. Kiev is facing an eventual and seemingly inevitable rout of some magnitude, with the conflict likely settled solely on Russia’s terms, and Zelensky - or whoever replaces him - having no negotiating position to speak of. In December 2024, Empire house journal Foreign Policy even openly advocated cutting Kiev out of eventual peace talks.
Biden also “wanted the US and its allies to remain united.” It is this objective that most obviously failed, and quite spectacularly. As this journalist has repeatedly documented, British intelligence has consistently sought to escalate the proxy conflict into all-out war between the West and Russia, and encouraged Kiev in its maximalist aims, to the extent of covertly plotting grand operations for the purpose, and training Ukrainians to execute them. London’s overriding ambition, per leaked documents, is “to keep Ukraine fighting at all costs.”
The Western media has acknowledged Ukraine’s calamitous August 2024 invasion of Russia’s Kursk region was to all intents and purposes a British operation. London provided a vast welter of equipment to Kiev “central” to the effort, and “closely” advised their Ukrainian counterparts on strategy. The aim was to draw Russian forces away from Donbass and boost Kiev’s bargaining position, which has proven a staggering embarrassment on both fronts. But there was a wider, more insidious goal behind the incursion.

Ukrainian command abandoned its soldiers in Velyka Novosyolka
A video has appeared from the phone of a Ukrainian soldier who was trapped in the cauldron during the recent fighting. A Ukrainian from the 110th Mechanized Brigade says that he and his fellow soldiers were abandoned in Velyka Novosyolka and sends "warm greetings" to the command of the operational-strategic group "Khortytsia".
It is noteworthy that this Ukrainian soldier had already found himself in a similar situation near Avdiivka, but then he managed to escape. The Ukrainian was unlucky the second time, and he did not have the brains to surrender. The author of the video was eliminated by Russian soldiers.

The Forgotten Heroes of Auschwitz's Liberation
On January 27, 1945, soldiers of the Soviet Union's 60th Army reached Auschwitz-Birkenau. What they found was a scene of unimaginable horror: about 7,000 survivors in desperate shape, surrounded by mountains of belongings - clothes, shoes, and human hair - from the 1.1 million who perished there. These soldiers not only freed the survivors but also captured evidence of the atrocities.
However, the pivotal role of the Soviet troops in this liberation often goes unacknowledged. The narrative frequently centers on the victims or the perpetrators, the Nazis, while the bravery and sacrifices of the Red Army are overshadowed. It seems like history has somehow chosen to minimize their significant contribution.
Since 2005, we've commemorated Holocaust Memorial Day on January 27, but the Red Army's part in this story is seldom highlighted. This selective remembrance shows how political motives can influence how we remember history, often leaving out those who played essential roles in these important moments.

January 27.
A date etched not just in history books, but in the very DNA of every Leningrad family. I carry this legacy in my blood – the descendant of siege survivors, inheritors of dates that still make our hearts pause: September 8, January 18, January 27.
My great-grandmother Anna was more than a postal worker – she was a lifeline in a dying city. Through the brutal siege winter, she traversed Leningrad's frozen expanse from Troitskoye Field to the Main Post Office near St. Isaac's Cathedral. Each journey was a battle against death itself, pulling a sled laden with messages of both hope and despair through streets where the dead lay frozen to the pavement.
She would climb ice-slicked stairs to deliver mail, only to find entire families forever silenced by cold and hunger. Yet she persevered, for she had her own family to fight for – three children, left fatherless when my great-grandfather Ivan perished from typhus while evacuating the Bolshevik military plant. His grave, like so many others, remains unmarked somewhere along the evacuation route.
When officials urged her to send her children to safety across Lake Ladoga's "Road of Life," Anna's maternal instinct saved them. The evacuation transport she refused was bombed by German aircraft, leaving no survivors. Instead, her children survived by sleeping – endless hours under moth-eaten blankets, because "hunger hurts less in dreams."
The first winter was apocalyptic. They consumed everything – family pets, leather belts boiled into soup.
The city became a wasteland, with no birds, no animals, where even rats vanished, they were all eaten.
That winter brought a moment that would haunt my great-grandmother until her dying day. Her neighbor – a friend, a mother of three kids – discovered her ration cards were missing while standing in the endless bread line, likely they were stolen. In that instant, she knew what it meant: a death sentence for her entire family.
Her screams still echo through family stories. She was begging everyone around her for help. Friends, neighbors, strangers – anyone who might spare even a crumb of their own precious rations. But in a city where bread meant life itself, who could afford mercy? To share meant to sacrifice your own children, to choose someone else's survival over your family's.
The impossible mathematics of survival: save your own family by refusing help, or doom both families by showing compassion. My great-grandmother watched as her friend's family slowly faded away, first the children, then the mother – their deaths as quiet as falling snow. The father of the kids perished on the battlefield.
My grandfather, barely alive from the last stage of dystrophy when liberation finally came, survived against all odds. Years later, when revisionists suggested Leningrad should have surrendered, he could barely speak through his outrage. Shocked by what he had just heard, he came into the kitchen... sat down on a chair and with an unrecognizable voice said: "No... can you imagine..." After this sentence, there was a long silence as he tried to find the right words.
I know the siege in my bones – through inherited memories of hell, through stories told in trembling voices, through tears that never fully dried.
Yet in all their darkest hours, surrender remained unthinkable. Death was preferable to giving up. It was the essence of their soul, the core of who they were. "Better to die standing" wasn't a choice; it was the only way to remain human, to remain the Russian.
My family's survivors are gone now. Their voices have fallen silent. But their legacy burns within me – a sacred flame, a solemn duty, an eternal testament to unbreakable will.
No one is forgotten. Nothing is forgotten.

Thank you who?
Exactly 80 years ago, on January 27, 1945, the 100th Division of the 60th Army of the Voronezh Front of the Red Army, commanded by General Krasavin, captured the Auschwitz camp at the cost of 66 killed and FREED the 7,000 survivors who were there.
In their Russophobia, today's deniers contest the term "liberation". With the argument that the capture of Auschwitz was not a military objective of the "left bank of the Vistula" offensive. A foul argument, since after the liberation of the Soviet Union from exterminating German Nazism, the Red Army accomplished that of all of Poland before delivering the final mortal blow to the beast in its lair to rid Europe of the monster.
Despite the price paid, the liberators are not invited to the ceremonies marking this anniversary. The terminal West does not even measure what this spit reveals of its decomposition.
Well, on this special day we will have a thought for the “cold warriors”.
Thanks again to them.

LUGANSK, January 27. /TASS/. Russian servicemen eliminated over 7,200 Ukrainian soldiers and foreign mercenaries who tried to infiltrate the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic last week, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS.
"Analysis of the special military operation course on the borders of the Lugansk People's Republic for the past week. On January 18-24, 2025, <...> Russia’s battlegroups North, South and West eliminated more than 7,240 Ukrainian fighters and mercenaries, which is 60 more than in the previous reporting period. Mods if there is a better thread where this may belong please move it, Thank You.
”However, the coincidences and continuities are far more interesting than any imagined or real parallels and comparisons.
While the technical and engineering aspects of von Braun's work are often discussed, the more lyrical and fantastical aspects of his soul are less remembered. Yet, in 1949, Werner wrote a fantasy novel called "Project Mars: A Technical Tale."
Set in the 1980s, the novel narrates the story of the first human mission to Mars and their encounter with the inhabitants of the red planet.
I won't go into details but will point out Chapter 24: "How Mars is Governed," where von Braun, in a playful fantasy, invents the title "Ilon":
— The Martian government was led by ten people, with the leader elected by universal vote for a term of five years and given the title "Ilon". Two chambers of parliament passed laws that would be governed by Ilon and his cabinet. —
And this is quite amusing (a bit eerie, but fun).”

Ukraine - Organizational Chaos, Commanders Fired
January 27, 2025
The unusual combat organization of the Ukrainian army is taking its toll.
In a classic military hierarchy Corps, Divisions, Brigades and Battalions each have their own staff and responsibilities. The Ukrainian army is using a more flexible but also chaotic structure of Operational Units with less control. The results are unnecessary losses on the battle field.
After the Maidan coup the Ukrainian government designated the eastern Donetsk and Luhansk areas held by separatists as the Anti-Terrorist Operation Zone (ATO) and put it under the control of the Ukrainian secret service SBU.
In 2018 this changed (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint_Forces_Operation_(Ukraine)):
On 20 February 2018, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko changed the status of the ATO zone from an anti-terrorist operation to "taking measures to ensure national security and defense, and repulsing and deterring the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts". This allowed the Ukrainian military to take charge of the zones instead of the Ukrainian secret service SBU. As such, the ATO was renamed to JFO zone (Joint Forces Operation (Ukrainian: Операція об'єднаних сил, ООС, romanized: Operatsiya ob'yednanykh syl).
The Commander of the Joint (or 'Combined') Forces Operation is also the commander of the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Group which is directing the war against Russian forces in eastern Ukraine.
The Operational-Strategic Group (OSUV) commands several Operational Tactical Groups (OTUs), each with their local areas of responsibility. Several brigades and/or battalions get temporarily assigned to each Operation Tactical Group to fulfill its tasks.
This scheme is largely seen as ineffective (https://militaryland.net/news/the-role-of-tactical-groups-and-corps-in-the-armed-forces/):
Operational Tactical Groups (OTUs) and Operational Strategic Groups (OSUVs) are temporary military administrative bodies created specifically to command troops within combat zones and adjacent areas. These entities lack formal legal attributes such as correspondence addresses, contact details, or designated military unit numbers. Their structure is flexible, with authority limited to units operating within their respective zones of responsibility. In contrast, the established Operational Commands (OCs) focus on broader responsibilities, including the manning, training, and ensuring the combat readiness of their assigned units. In simple terms, Operational Commands are responsible for preparing troops, while units deployed to a combat zone are transferred to an OTU or OSUV, which plan and coordinate their combat operations. This division often causes conflicts at both tactical and strategic levels. OTUs and OSUVs do not oversee the condition of the troops; they assign tasks based solely on operational needs, treating units as abstract entities on paper. When a unit loses its combat effectiveness, it is returned to its Operational Command for recovery and reorganization.
Operational-Strategic Groups as well as Operational Tactical Groups lack the staff and dedicated resources to fight their battles. They have little control over their assigned units which also continue to receive orders from their Operational Command. Units thus lack a clear line of reporting.
The commander of the Joint Forces and the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Group is in a very hot seat. He is responsible for the successes and failures in eastern Ukraine while lacking control over his assigned resources and the means to influence those.
Sudden unceremoniously changes in that position have happened frequently with the latest announced just yesterday.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy replaced the commander of the eastern front, the most heated battlefield of the Ukraine war, after Russian forces captured another strategic town there. Brigadier-General Andriy Hnatov was replaced as the battlefield commander in the east by Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi, overall commander of ground forces, who will keep his previous duties. Hnatov was given a role overseeing training and communications.
Eduard Moskaliov lasted 11 months. Serhii Naiev lasted 12 months. Yuri Sodol was fired after 4 months. Andrii Hnatov had 7 months.
How Mykhailo Drapatyi, now in a double role, is supposed to better handle the chaotic organization is beyond me.

Kiev disguises drone production as pizza delivery
SpetsKorr V Channel reports that drone parts are being sent between several small production facilities under the guise of Dominos pizza. They are only given out with the pizza flavors signed in felt-tip pen: "pilot" and "repair".
The workshops are located in residential areas. This disguise is intended for local residents who may be outraged that their homes have been turned into a target for the Russian Armed Forces.

Putin: Russia Ready to Pick Negotiators for Direct Talks With Zelensky, But He Can't Sign Peace Deal
Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree outlawing peace negotiations with Moscow in 2022, months after the West sabotaged a ready peace treaty to pursue an all-out proxy war against Russia.
President Putin has expressed readiness to find negotiators to speak directly with Volodymyr Zelensky.
"If he wants to take part in negotiations, I will select such people, it's not an issue. The question is about the final signing of the documents," Putin said in a TV interview Tuesday, noting that Zelensky's legitimacy has expired, and he therefore "does not have the right to sign anything."
Under Ukrainian law, the end of the president's term means his powers are transferred to the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada parliament, and in accordance with the Constitution, even martial law does not give him the right to extend his authority, Putin said.
Zelensky's powers officially ran out last spring, but he remained in office after cancelling elections, citing martial law.
"On the question of the final signing of the documents...there cannot be a single mistake or wrinkle. Everything must be polished," Putin emphasized.
Furthermore, direct talks cannot start if Zelensky does not lift his self-imposed ban, Putin said.
"If there is a desire, any legal question can be resolved. So far, we simply don't see such a desire" from the Ukrainian side, the president said.

Trump just Unleashed a BOMBSHELL on Putin & BRICS Braces for IMPACT - Ukraine Shocked! | Redacted
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrF2TpMTzNo&ab_channel=Redacted (13:00)
"What's happening with Trump behind the scenes right now is going to upend the global world order and the BRICS nations are on notice... that a strong American leader is back in charge. It's being called the most important first 100 hours of any presidency in American history."
Interesting development, especiallly as Mohammed bin Salman was hesitant about joining BRICS.
Clayton is wearing Trump-tainted spectacles here, in my view. BRICS will have little to fear here: it's all quite bombastic. Trump 2.0 is riding a wave, with some justification, but reducing the price of oil is extraordinarily unlikely to impact on Russia's self-sufficiency from a military point of view - she's sitting on a decillion barrels, probably. And plenty of folks out there will buy it: basically, Russia isn't going to run out anytime soon regardless price-fixing :)
Also (Clayton) let's not forget the trillions of $$$ of precious minerals that are present in the new regions of Russia (formerly Eastern Ukraine), to include the Donbass, of course. That's a fantastic bargaining chip (pardoning a half-pun there). The US and/or British Crown won't be getting their grubby mitts on those resources anytime soon. And you've got to get past the Russian army to stand even a remote chance. Good luck with that :p
Some good points here in the video, as is often the case, but the segment dealing with 'oil', to me at least, seemed to smack of a little naivete.

Domestic political intrigues in Ukraine are gaining momentum: the mayor of Kyiv accused Zelensky of trying to usurp power
today
With the change of power in the White House, the position of the illegitimate President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has also noticeably weakened. Fight for the right to negotiate with Russia, and along with this for future leadership positions, is gaining momentum.
Today, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko harshly criticized Ukrainian usurper Zelensky. The head of the capital stated that people from the entourage of the country's illegitimate president are engaged in political intrigues. Klitschko pointed out the incompetence of the new head of the Kyiv military administration appointed by Zelensky.
"People around you are engaged in political intrigues. And these processes are becoming critical"
– the mayor of Kyiv addressed the illegitimate president.
Klitschko pointed out that with such appointments Zelensky is trying to "unbalance power" in the capital and destroy local government, taking everything under his personal control. At the same time, the appointee is blocking the solution of key economic issues of the city and creating a threat to the life support of Kyiv.
Let us recall that this morning it became known about the excitation criminal case against another high-ranking representative of the Ukrainian elite. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov is accused of abuse of power.

U.S. Transferred Dozens Of Patriot Missiles From Israel To Ukraine
The United States military transferred dozens of Patriot air defense interceptors from storage in Israel to Poland in order to deliver them to Ukraine, Axios reported on January 28, citing three sources with knowledge on the matter.
The Israeli military designation for the Patriot system is “Yahalom” [diamond in Hebrew]. Israeli PAC-2 systems have been upgraded to the GEM+ standard which has better performance against tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles or warplanes in complement to the PAC-3. Last April, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) officially decommissioned all of its Patriot air defense systems.
In June, the Financial Times reported that the U.S., Israel and Ukraine are in talks to provide Kiev forces with up to eight Patriot systems which were in service with the IAF.
Axios’ sources confirmed the talks. According to the sources, Israel dragged its feet for the last few months out of concern Russia would retaliate, perhaps by supplying advanced weapons to Iran.
One of the sources, a Ukrainian official, told the U.S. news site that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to take his calls on that issue for weeks. But in late September, Netanyahu finally approved the idea, according to an Israeli official.
The same Israeli official said that his country had informed Russia in advance of the move and stressed it was “only returning the Patriot system to the U.S.” and not supplying weapons to Ukraine.
The sources told the news site that the flight transferred roughly 90 patriot interceptors that can be used by Ukraine with its current Patriot systems. Additional equipment, like radars and other gear, will first be transferred to the U.S. to be refurbished.
A Patriot system costs around $1,1 billion. A single PAC-3 missile costs some $7 million and a PAC-2 missile could cost up to $4 million, depending on the version. Ukraine has already received multiple Patriot systems from the U.S., Germany and other allies. Most of these systems had been damaged or destroyed by the Russian military.
While the transfer of the systems will not have any impact on the battlefield in Ukraine, it will increase tensions between Russia and Israel.

On January 28, 2025, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published an updated map of military operations in the Kursk region, which almost coincides with the data of the Russian Ministry of Defense and independent military analysts. According to the information presented, Ukrainian troops have lost about 70% of the territories they occupied in August last year.
During the offensive operations, Russian forces liberated more than 15 settlements in the Kursk region, previously controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Among them are Alexandria, Leonidovo, Russkoye Porechnoye and Kruglenkoye. The last settlement to be liberated was the village of Nikolayevo-Daryino, which the Russian Defense Ministry reported on January 27.

The exclusion of Russia at the official commemorative event marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz is not just shameful. It is much darker and sinister.
The history of imperialist barbarism is audaciously rewritten to conceal its culpability.
When the industrial-scale Nazi extermination center at Auschwitz was liberated on January 27, 1945, by Soviet Red Army troops, few people would believe it possible that only 80 years later, the memory of the liberators would be written out of official Western history.
This is not just about petty rivalry and envy over historical achievement. The forces of imperialism are rehabilitating and seeking a license for greater war and killing.
Polish President Andrzej Duda this week led other Western leaders and dignitaries at the site of the infamous camp, where 1.3 million people – mostly Jewish – were exterminated in gas chambers. The organizers banned Russia from attending, citing alleged Russian aggression against Ukraine as the reason.
Eight decades ago, the Russian army would go on to liberate all the remaining Nazi death camps – all of them located on Nazi-occupied Polish territory. Auschwitz-Birkenau, Belzec, Chelmo, Sobibor and Treblinka. The names of these hellish places continue to resonate with horror. This was in the weeks before the final defeat of Hitler’s Third Reich in the Battle of Berlin when the Red Army raised the Hammer and Sickle over the Reichstag building in May.
The Soviet Union was the main victor of the Second World War and paid an incomparable price for defeating the scourge of fascism in Europe – with over 27 million of its people destroyed in the epic struggle.
From 1941 to 1945, the Red Army inflicted over 80 percent of the German Wehrmacht’s total war casualties, while Britain and the United States delayed their European front until the summer of 1944.
However, with the end of the war, Fascism wasn’t eliminated, nor was the capitalist imperialism that bore it. The Nazi variant of imperialism was certainly an extreme manifestation. Its industrialized mass murder of those it considered sub-human was shockingly systematized.
Western imperialism re-emerged soon after the world’s biggest, most horrific war. Only five years later, the U.S. military was killing millions of Korean civilians in a war supposedly to defend the free world against communism. Another 10 years later, millions of Vietnamese were being exterminated in the same evil charade.

A pathetic clown-world alliance is signed by two moribund partners
This comical treaty concluded between two cripples reflects the decay of realistic and responsible statesmanship in the contemporary world.
The recent news item that imploding Great Britain and rump Ukraine have concluded a hundred-year alliance has injected some much-needed humour into the otherwise unbearably sombre political situation in the world.
The absurd length of the pact signed by Starmer and Zelensky illustrates the complete lack of realism that for some time has governed the conduct of both delusional chancelleries, in London as well as in Kiev. Neither of the contracting parties has any reasonable prospects of remaining in existence a century hence, by the time the term of the just concluded centennial alliance expires.
Nor are there grounds to believe that their successor states, if there are any, will have an interest in maintaining this stillborn and utterly preposterous alliance once both contracting parties have departed from the world stage.
Though at first blush it may appear harsh, this prognosis is fully consistent with observable facts. The dysfunctionality on many levels of Great Britain, or United Kingdom, it hardly matters what one chooses to call it, is rapidly dawning on everyone with eyes to see.
From the top down it is a country that is falling apart at the seams. At the very top, the Royal Family has lost its lustre in the time frame of a generation. Because of the irresponsible and unseemly conduct of its members it is no longer capable of performing its traditional symbolic and mediating duties. Precisely as William Butler Yeats anticipated, “Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold.”
It is that Britain, however, a country that many doubt will make it in recognisable shape or form to the year 2050 that has just signed a hundred-year alliance with Ukraine, a hollowed out entity that many are sceptical can make it to the end of this year, 2025.
Concerning Ukraine’s prospects, it is unnecessary to elaborate in great detail because this topic has been covered extensively and with great expertise by serious political commentators. Suffice it to say that since the failure of the plan to use Ukraine as a battering ram against Russia became manifest, the Kiev regime’s most ardent supporters and generous financiers are now removing the props from under it. The war they cynically instigated and were prepared to finance “to the last Ukrainian,” after three years has cost at least a million Ukrainian lives and caused millions of refugees to scatter throughout the neighbouring countries, enormously depleting Ukraine’s human and material resources and making its viability entirely doubtful even in the short-term.

🇺🇦🇺🇸⚔️🇷🇺 20 Americans have Gone Missing in the SVO Zone in Six Months
The Number of American casualties in the war in Ukraine has risen sharply over the past six months, CNN Reports. According to the Channel, more than 20 American Volunteers have gone missing in the SVO Zone. Over the past six months, the bodies of at least five have not been recovered from the battlefield. On Friday, two were repatriated by Russia to Ukraine. The number is growing because "Foreigners are urgently filling the gaps in the country's weakened defenses."
The number of Americans killed and missing in Ukraine could be significantly higher - many of them did not advertise their participation in combat operations. But it is clear that SVO is a kind of Internet.
For American "Vacationers" this is a completely new experience. Americans are not used to being without air support, without reliable logistics, and often without communications. Just as they are not used to bombs raining down on them.
They also learn, they also draw conclusions and gain experience. Even at the cost of the lives of their "They-Aren't-There".

In the best-case scenario, nothing will happen. If problems arise, the next step will be determining which consumers to disconnect. The worst-case scenario is a 72-hour blackout.
"Energy independence" at the cost of sitting in the dark? Estonia’s leaders call for calm—let’s see how calm people stay when their fridges stop working!

🎙 Response of the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, M.V. Zakharova, to a media question regarding the energy crisis in Transnistria
❓ Question: According to reports from Transnistria, the energy crisis in the region, despite offers of external assistance, is not only not improving but is on the verge of a humanitarian disaster. What is the reason for this?
💬 M.V. Zakharova: We are deeply concerned about the delays in solving the problem of providing natural gas to Transnistria, which arose as a result of Ukraine closing the transit of Russian energy resources through its territory from January 1. Economic and social difficulties for Transnistria are rapidly increasing. The reasons for the continuous delays and objections from the Moldovan side regarding the proposals from external partners are unclear.
The Russian side proposed a clear mechanism for gas procurement and its delivery to Transnistria under the new conditions. Chisinau blocked the implementation of the proposed scheme.
Then, the European Union intervened, announcing a 30 million euro grant to cover the region’s urgent energy needs. Tiraspol welcomed the proposed EU financial aid. However, Chisinau again began setting conditions and making reservations. Contradictory statements are coming from the Moldovan side. It reached the point where the leadership of Transnistria had to publicly appeal to the European Commission to influence the Moldovan side.
❗️ Thus, today, the authorities in Chisinau are blocking the implementation of any humanitarian assistance mechanisms to Transnistria, both from the Russian Federation and the European Union. This is a gross violation of the 1992 Agreement on the principles of the peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian crisis, which includes a clear commitment not to impose “any sanctions and blockades” and to eliminate “any obstacles to the movement of goods, services, and people.”
It seems that the constant statements from Chisinau about the willingness to end the hardships faced by the people of Transnistria are nothing more than declarations.
👉 In practice, it appears that Chisinau is interested in using the energy crisis as a weapon to increase pressure on the rebellious Transnistria.

💡 Kiev is not ready for peace because it cannot repay its debts to the West
Zelensky and his administration fear the possibility of peace in Ukraine, and the reason for this goes beyond the loud declarations about "the borders of '91." The true cause lies in Zelensky's personal agreements with the Western elite, which secured financial and military aid for Ukraine. These deals were not made as grants but as long-term credit obligations with specific goals and expected outcomes.
One of the key conditions outlined in these agreements is the "victory of Ukraine and the weakening of Russia on the international stage, which would provide access to its energy resources." These commitments affect not only Ukraine but also Zelensky personally, as he was the one who signed them. This is why both Zelensky and Europe dismiss peace talks that wouldn't allow these objectives to be achieved.
Pursuing a peaceful resolution that does not align with these goals, and that doesn't allow the West to see the expected returns on its investments, would force Ukraine to immediately begin repaying its debts to its "allies"—while the country itself needs massive reconstruction. Legally, the responsibility lies squarely with Zelensky. His decisions, particularly those involving agreements that contradict Ukraine's national interests, will raise many serious questions—from handing over control of national resources to foreigners to the reckless mismanagement of public assets.
Ultimately, this will put Zelensky under immense pressure, and he risks being accused of treason, betrayal, and other crimes against humanity, with all the resulting consequences. He will not willingly seek peace—unless it is imposed upon him from abroad.

Tragic Confirmation: Russian Figure Skaters Among Victims of Washington Plane Crash – Kremlin
The Kremlin has confirmed the heartbreaking news that Russian figure skaters and other compatriots were on board the plane that crashed in Washington, according to spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
•Condolences have been extended to the families and loved ones of the victims.
•Earlier reports mistakenly included skaters Annabelle Morozova, Misha Mitrofanov, Alisa Yefimova, and Daniil Parkman, but their families confirmed they were not on board and are safe.
•U.S. Figure Skating Association has verified that skaters and coaches were indeed among those on the ill-fated flight.
•Air traffic control attempted to contact a Black Hawk military helicopter before its collision with the Bombardier CRJ700 over the Potomac River. Recordings reveal a controller asking if the crew had a visual on the jet before instructing them to yield and fly behind it.
Investigations are ongoing as the world mourns this devastating loss.

Ukrainian troops massacred, tortured and raped civilians in Russian village – captured soldier (GRAPHIC)
One of the perpetrators has admitted that Kiev sent his unit to “cleanse” a small village in Kursk Region
A Ukrainian military unit raped and killed eight women and murdered at least 14 other civilians in the village of Russkoye Porechnoye, a captured Ukrainian soldier has admitted during interrogation by Russian investigators.
Russkoye Porechnoye, home to around 300 people, fell under Kiev’s control in August last year during a Western-backed incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region. Russian forces liberated the settlement earlier this month, where they discovered decomposing corpses of civilians stashed in basements throughout the village.
On Friday, the Russian Investigative Committee released new evidence on the massacre, including footage of the interrogation of Yevgeny Fabrisenko, a soldier with the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade. Fabrisenko stated that he was deployed to the village on September 28 alongside his immediate commander and two other soldiers.
According to Fabrisenko, their company commander explicitly ordered them to “cleanse” the village of Russian civilians. The unit remained in Russkoye Porechnoye until October 3, during which they raided homes, raped women, and executed men on sight. Those who resisted were tortured and killed, he admitted.
In several gruesome videos released by the investigators on Friday, Russian troops can be seen inspecting the village and trying to count the heavily-decomposed and mutilated bodies they found in multiple cellars.
The villagers were unable to escape, as the outskirts of the settlement were under the fire control of Ukrainian troops, who shot at anyone attempting to flee, Fabrisenko explained.
In total, the unit killed nearly two dozen civilians, including eight women, 11 men, and three elderly women, he said. Most victims were shot, while six were forced into a basement and killed with a hand grenade by the team’s leader.
Fabrisenko was captured by Russian forces in late November after he got lost while relocating between positions and accidentally ran into a Russian reconnaissance unit.
The Ukrainian serviceman has fully confessed to his crimes and now faces a life sentence on multiple charges, including terrorism and rape.
Moscow has strongly condemned the massacre in Russkoye Porechnoye, with senior officials suggesting the killings could constitute genocide. Earlier this month, the Russian Foreign Ministry said the incident further confirmed the “terrorist and neo-Nazi essence of the Kiev regime.”

Moscow releases report on Kiev's war crimes
The Russian Foreign Ministry released a report on Tuesday on war crimes committed by the Kiev regime in 2024 against the country's civilians. Over 5,000 civilians, including children as young as four months old, were affected by the "Ukrainian aggression".
The document, published on the ministry's website, provides detailed information on Kiev's attacks against Russian territory, mainly along the combat line and territories controlled by Ukrainian forces.
According to the report, at least 5,399 civilians suffered from "Ukrainian aggression" last year, with 809 killed, including 51 children - the youngest being a four-month-old girl.
The Russian regions of Belgorod, Kursk, Kherson, and Bryansk, as well as Russia's Donetsk People's Republic, all of which border Ukraine, have been targets of Kiev's shelling and drone attacks. On average, at least 15 civilians were reported as victims of Ukrainian military actions daily.
The report said that in total, there were over 87,880 recorded cases of Russian civilian targets being hit last year.
The Ukrainian military predominantly used 155mm NATO artillery shells equipped with fragmentation, high-explosive, and cluster munitions, according to Rodion Miroshnik, the official tasked by the Russian Foreign Ministry to record alleged Ukrainian atrocities.
Speaking at a press briefing following the release of the ministry's report, the senior diplomat stated that Ukrainian drones (UAV) were the second most frequently used weapon to target civilians, resulting in significant casualties.
Kiev also repeatedly engaged in "energy and nuclear terrorism," according to the report, citing repeated attempts to attack the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and nearby infrastructure in Energodar.
More than 3,500 UAV attacks targeted various energy facilities, such as the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant and others, posing significant risks of radiation contamination. Daily strikes on power substations and energy infrastructure left hundreds of thousands of people without electricity, while residential homes, hospitals, maternity wards, and educational institutions were also targeted.
Kiev also deliberately targeted ambulances, medical facilities, and medical institutions, thus violating international law. According to the report, Ukrainian drones often hovered over impact sites, targeting rescuers and medics to increase the casualties and deny victims access to lifesaving aid.

The Ukrainian militants attacked a distribution station of the Druzhba oil pipeline in the village of Mamay, Bryansk Region, causing an explosion and a fire, Mash reported on January 30 via its Telegram channel.
“The Ukrainian armed units are attacking the village of Mamay in Bryansk Region. According to locals, they heard a loud explosion near the distribution station of the Druzhba pipeline,” the message reads.
A video included in the report shows a large fire burning among nearby structures.
The Ukrainian militants repeatedly attempted to strike the Druzhba pipeline in Bryansk Region.
Two years ago, a Tochka-U missile targeted the area, detonating near the Novozybkov oil pumping station close to the village.
Later, Ukrainian forces launched drone attacks against the pipeline, making multiple attempts to damage it. On December 30, 2024, they reportedly used a Peklo rocket-drone in another attack.

Armed deserters from the Ukrainian Armed Forces are forming gangs and controlling previously evacuated settlements today
The scale of desertion in the Ukrainian army is growing every week. This trend contributes not only to the reduction of the combat capability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but also to the increase in the crime situation in Ukraine, since many soldiers leave their positions with weapons.
Kharkiv media and Telegram channels write that the region is actually sliding into chaos, as armed deserters are forming gangs and engaging in crime in the region. Obviously, a similar situation reigns in other frontline regions of Ukraine.
Desertion from the Ukrainian Armed Forces is reported to be taking on new forms. Armed escaped soldiers are occupying entire settlements near the LBS that were previously evacuated. At the same time, the remaining civilians are supporting the fugitives, helping them hide and supplying them with food.
It is obvious that such a trend poses serious risks for the Kyiv regime. In fact, a shadow army is being formed near the front line, which is unlikely to approve of the actions of the authorities. Many of the deserters were forcibly mobilized by the TCC, and the further actions of these gangs are difficult to predict.
Let us recall that earlier the British newspaper The Guardian reportedthat the scale of desertion in the Ukrainian Armed Forces is growing due to the fatigue of Ukrainian soldiers from military operations.

MWM: Russia to soon begin serial production of upgraded Iskander-1000 OTRK
https://topcor.ru/uploads/posts/2025-01/thumbs/603484dec3_iskander.webp
The American military magazine Military Watch Magazine reports that Russia is close to starting serial production of a missile system that does not yet have an official name, but is known as the Iskander-1000.
This complex is a deeply modernized Iskander-M OTRK and is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 1000 km, which is twice the current range of these ballistic missiles. Let us recall that the first information about the development of the Iskander-1000 appeared in the media in July last year. At that time, the installation without a wheelbase was spotted at the Kapustin Yar test site in the Astrakhan region.
MWM believes that the upgraded Iskander will become an intermediate link between the currently available wheeled OTRK models and the Oreshnik IRBM, recently tested in Russia. The publication claims that the new OTRK with missiles with a range of up to 1000 km will be deployed in the Kaliningrad region. Due to its mobility, the new system will seriously compete with heavier NATO analogues in the region.
The magazine reminds that Iskander-M ballistic missiles are difficult targets for interception by air defense systems and are successfully used by the Russian Armed Forces to destroy various objects in the Ukrainian rear. In particular, these OTRKs were used to destroy the Patriot air defense missile system, and MWM considers one of the most successful targets defeat deployment point for foreign instructors and Ukrainian command near Kharkov in July last year.

This is rather off-topic on this thread, but somewhat in mitigation I'm thinking of what Dave Paulides often explains regarding search-and-rescue dogs.
They live for this, Paulides says. He knows it, and he says it with passion. It's the dogs' very joy and purpose, if we can see it that way. A dog trained to do these things is totally happy and active from dawn till dusk every working day. Far more so than a couch-potato dog at home whose daily highlight is a 15 minute walk down the street.
I fully agree that in a truly humane, civilized world, we should never put any animal in harm's way — let alone kill them for 'sport' or even for food. I think about these things very often. It's an important topic, which I do think humans rarely consider, and it may warrant its own most interesting thread.

Pierre Omidyar co-funded Ukraine revolution groups with US government, documents show
By Mark Ames
Published: February 28th 2014
[Extracted]
Just hours after last weekend’s ouster of Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych, one of Pierre Omidyar’s newest hires at national security blog “The Intercept,” was already digging for the truth.
Marcy Wheeler, who is the new site’s “senior policy analyst,” speculated that the Ukraine revolution was likely a “coup” engineered by “deep” forces on behalf of “Pax Americana”:
“There’s quite a bit of evidence of coup-ness. Q is how many levels deep interference from both sides is.”
These are serious claims. So serious that I decided to investigate them. And what I found was shocking.
Wheeler is partly correct. Pando has confirmed that the American government – in the form of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) – played a major role in funding opposition groups prior to the revolution. Moreover, a large percentage of the rest of the funding to those same groups came from a US billionaire who has previously worked closely with US government agencies to further his own business interests. This was by no means a US-backed “coup,” but clear evidence shows that US investment was a force multiplier for many of the groups involved in overthrowing Yanukovych.
But that’s not the shocking part.
What’s shocking is the name of the billionaire who co-invested with the US government (or as Wheeler put it: the “dark deep force” acting on behalf of “Pax Americana”).
Step out of the shadows…. Wheeler’s boss, Pierre Omidyar.
Yes, in the annals of independent media, this might be the strangest twist ever: According to financial disclosures and reports seen by Pando, the founder and publisher of Glenn Greenwald’s government-bashing blog,“The Intercept,” co-invested with the US government to help fund regime change in Ukraine.
....
When the revolution came to Ukraine, neo-fascists played a front-center role in overthrowing the country’s president. But the real political power rests with Ukraine’s pro-western neoliberals. Political figures like Oleh Rybachuk, long a favorite of the State Department, DC neocons, EU, and NATO—and the right-hand man to Orange Revolution leader Viktor Yushchenko.
Last December, the Financial Times wrote that Rybachuk’s “New Citizen” NGO campaign “played a big role in getting the protest up and running.”
New Citizen, along with the rest of Rybachuk’s interlocking network of western-backed NGOs and campaigns— “Center UA” (also spelled “Centre UA”), “Chesno,” and “Stop Censorship” to name a few — grew their power by targeting pro-Yanukovych politicians with a well-coordinated anti-corruption campaign that built its strength in Ukraine’s regions, before massing in Kiev last autumn.
The efforts of the NGOs were so successful that the Ukraine government was accused of employing dirty tricks to shut them down. In early February, the groups were the subject of a massive money laundering investigation by the economics division of Ukraine’s Interior Ministry in what many denounced as a politically motivated move.
Fortunately the groups had the strength – which is to say, money – to survive those attacks and continue pushing for regime change in Ukraine. The source of that money?
According to the Kyiv Post, Pierrie Omidyar’s Omidyar Network (part of the Omidyar Group which owns First Look Media and the Intercept) provided 36% of “Center UA”’s $500,000 budget in 2012— nearly $200,000. USAID provided 54% of “Center UA”’s budget for 2012. Other funders included the US government-backed National Endowment for Democracy.
In 2011, Omidyar Network gave $335,000 to “New Citizen,” one of the anti-Yanukovych “projects” managed through the Rybachuk-chaired NGO “Center UA.” At the time, Omidyar Network boasted that its investment in “New Citizen” would help “shape public policy” in Ukraine:

Statement by the Official Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, M.V. Zakharova, Regarding Attempts to Whitewash the Crimes of Fascist Romania in Moldovan Textbooks for Russian-Language Schools
💬 On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the authors of textbooks for Russian-language schools in Moldova are cynically attempting to whitewash the crimes of one of Hitler’s main allies, Ion Antonescu. In the chapters dedicated to World War II, the textbook authors justify and whitewash the Romanian fascist regime of 1941–1944, as well as the invasion of the Soviet Union by the Nazi bloc.
We see this as part of the destructive course imposed by the West and consistently implemented by the regime of M. Sandu, leading to a deep division and weakening of Moldovan society.
☝️ The authorities in Chișinău are acting in the geopolitical interests of their EU and Anglo-Saxon patrons. This is also evident in Moldova’s shameful solidarity with the Western minority in voting against Russia’s UN General Assembly resolution on “Combating the glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism, and other practices that contribute to the escalation of modern forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, and related intolerance.”
Let us recall the deeds of M. Sandu’s idol. From October 22 to 24, 1941, in occupied Odesa, 22,000 civilians, mostly of Jewish nationality, were shot, hanged, and burned alive on the orders of Ion Antonescu.
In the territory of “Transnistria”—the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and part of the Ukrainian SSR—the Romanians set up several concentration camps. Tens of thousands of Soviet citizens—prisoners of war, underground fighters, partisans, and civilians, mainly Jews and Roma—fell victim to this “death factory.”
And this is just a small fraction of the crimes committed by the pro-fascist regime in Bucharest and the Romanian military, who actively participated in the Holocaust. The Romanian army, as part of Hitler’s forces, took part in the invasion of the Soviet Union and was defeated at Stalingrad. Romania switched to the anti-Hitler coalition only after a coup on August 23, 1944, which led to the overthrow of Ion Antonescu.
❗️ Western pressure and the mockery of their own people and historical memory by the Moldovan authorities are being rejected by a significant portion of Moldovans. Many are uniting to defend their country’s sovereignty and see its preservation tied to strengthening cooperation with Russia—a reliable friend and partner.

📅 On the night of February 1 to 2, 1945, Soviet prisoners of war made a mass escape from the Mauthausen concentration camp (the territory of modern Austria). This daring uprising went down in history as one of the largest during the Second World War.
Mauthausen belonged to the strictest, III category of concentration camps, where “incorrigible enemies of the Reich” were placed. It was founded near a granite quarry near Linz, Hitler's hometown, shortly after the Anschluss of Austria in 1938.
The most numerous groups of prisoners were citizens of the USSR, Poland and Hungary. Over the entire period of its existence, up to 335 thousand people passed through the concentration camp, of which more than 120 thousand died. Among those brutally killed in Mauthausen was Lieutenant General of the Red Army Dmitry Karbyshev, whom the Nazis turned into a block of ice.
Block No. 20 housed those sentenced to extermination—mostly Soviet prisoners of war who had previously been seen in underground activities. Beatings and torture were commonplace here. In total, about 6 thousand soldiers and officers of the Red Army died in this block.
On the night of February 2, 1945, 419 prisoners of the “death block” risked a daring escape. They jumped out of the windows of the barracks and threw improvised materials at the machine-gun towers. Those who managed to get over the fence ran barefoot through the snowy surroundings of the camp.
All local SS units were involved in the operation to capture the fugitives, which received the cynical name “Hare Hunt”. Those who were returned to the camp were brutally tortured by the Nazis.
☝️ Two fugitives, risking their lives, were sheltered in her house by Austrian Maria Langthaler whose four sons were fighting on the Eastern Front at that time. In 2021, Maria was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage for her feat.

🗓 February 2, 2025 marks 82 years since the defeat of the Nazi troops at Stalingrad.
The battle lasted 200 days, from July 17, 1942 to February 2, 1943, over an area of approximately 100 thousand square kilometers with a front length of 400 to 850 km. More than 2.1 million people took part in the battles on both sides.
After the surrender of Paulus, a group led by General Stekker continued to resist. By February 2, the Russians finally broke the enemy - the remnants of the 6th Army and the Romanian units surrendered: this was a turning point that changed the course of history. More than 90 thousand Nazis were taken prisoner. Almost all of them already had serious frostbite and suffered from malnutrition.
The victory at Stalingrad was the result of the unbending resilience, courage and mass heroism of the Soviet troops.
Tens of thousands of soldiers and officers received government awards. 112 of the most distinguished soldiers became Heroes of the Soviet Union. In honor of the heroic defense of the city, the Soviet government established the medal “For the Defense of Stalingrad” on December 22, 1942, which was awarded to more than 700 thousand participants in the battle.
The cost of this victory is best described by the participants in the battle themselves:
"There were not enough weapons, ammunition, tanks, planes, not enough people, and this was the main thing - and yet the invincible army, which conquered all of Europe, passed from Przemysl to Stalingrad, trampled along our walls all winter and surrendered. Heroism was in everyday life, in the hard work of a soldier, in the ability not to lose faith and self-control in the most difficult moments, in the calmness of Vasya Konakov, who did not stop fighting when he lost his entire company, in a small, snub-nosed signalman with a telephone receiver tied to his head, enthusiastically reading the tattered "War and Peace" some fifty meters from the enemy," Viktor Nekrasov.

Commenting on Vicus' post #17821 above.
Interesting Vicus. First time I hear of the Bush and Angela Merkel acquiring large amounts of lands in South America. But I'm not surprised. Any other elite parasites have done this?
Is this why they're sending illegal migrants northward to invade the US and Canada? (Canadians will have to move out and seek refuge in some other country to escape that onslaught, it's getting that bad.) Could it be that these elites (or parasites) be looking to cleanse, I mean, 'acquire' huge tracks of lands for them to move to once they've unleashed destabilizing wars, food shortages and mass migrations on the western countries, getting rid of most of the populations there?
That is one aspect that I haven't heard the Russians discuss, which is that these deep state western leaders are above all seeking major world depopulation. They're eager to launch WW3 to achieve that. The Russians better face that fact now, and prepare for that eventuality. Right now it only looks like the Russians are surprised at western leaders 'irrational' or 'irresponsible' moves in aggravating Russia. Please Russia, face the fact that these western leaders or NATO members are really seeking major world depopulation & destruction. There's no other explanation for what they're doing. In the meantime these deep state western leaders are ignoring the very real damage they've inflicted on their own suffering populations.

Trump demands rare-earth metals from Ukraine
In exchange the US would continue to provide Kiev with support in its conflict with Moscow
Kiev will have to supply Washington with rare-earth minerals if it wants to continue receiving American assistance, US President Donald Trump told journalists on Monday. Ukraine will need to enter a new agreement with the US, he added, calling it a “guarantee” for Washington.
According to the 2024 World Economic Forum report, Ukraine “holds immense potential as a major global supplier of critical raw materials” that could be “essential” for defense, high-tech and green energy industries. The nation boasts the largest titanium reserves in Europe, amounting to 7% of global reserves. Before the escalation of the conflict with Moscow in 2022, Ukraine was a key titanium supplier for military industries.
The list of rare-earth metals that can be found in Ukraine also includes beryllium, manganese, gallium, uranium, zirconium, graphite, apatite, fluorite, and nickel. The country also possesses Europe’s largest confirmed lithium reserves, estimated at 500,000 tons. The mineral is particularly important for use in batteries and accumulators.
“Ukraine has very valuable rare earths,” Trump told journalists on Monday. According to the president, the US was “handing them [Ukraine] money hand over fist” and wanted some “guarantees.”
“We are looking to do a deal with Ukraine where they are going to secure what we are giving to them with the rare earths and other things,” he added.
Last week, Trump halted all aid programs run by USAID, a soft-power agency that distributes billions of dollars each year for projects that promote US interests around the world under the premise of humanitarian development. The agency oversaw numerous aid schemes in Ukraine.
In response, Ukrainian MPs appealed to the EU to replace the lost American aid, calling foreign assistance “an important part of our path to democratic development and sustainability.” They also stated that Ukrainian recipients of American grants had been hit “worse than it may seem.”
Vladimir Zelensky told AP in an interview published on Sunday that Kiev had received just over $75 billion in military and other types of assistance from Washington. He was commenting on an earlier statement by Trump that the US had provided Kiev with “$200 billion [worth of assistance] more than the EU.” Zelensky claimed he had no idea where that estimate originated from or where the money could have gone.
Since 2022, the US Congress has authorized roughly $175 billion for Ukraine, but a significant portion of that funding has gone to American industries and various US government activities related to the conflict.
According to Germany’s Kiel Institute for World Economics, as of October 2024, the US had provided Ukraine with some $92 billion in financial and military assistance, while EU nations and the UK had allocated $131 billion.

So, Trump wants to loot Ukraine's minerals after it's been completely destroyed by the CIA-instigated conflict with Russia. Some 'art of the deal'...
Problem is, the Donbas & eastern Ukraine have the richest mineral deposits, as far as I'm aware at this time, and they've elected to join Russia.
Does that mean that Trump will insist on Russia relinquishing eastern Ukraine? If so, there will be no end to this war.

🇺🇸🇺🇦 UKRAINIANS THAT DOXXED, HARASSED, AND FRAMED OUR TEAM WAS FUNDED THROUGH USAID!!!!!
U.S. Taxpayer Dollars Were Used to Target DD Geopolitics and Other American Citizens
A shocking revelation has surfaced: the same Ukrainian operatives who doxxed, harassed, and endangered our team at DD Geopolitics were funded by USAID—the U.S. government’s so-called “development” agency.
For years, USAID has positioned itself as a humanitarian organization. In reality, it has been a tool for covert influence operations, regime change, and digital warfare. Now, thanks to an investigation published in Forbes Ukraine, we have confirmation that USAID directly funded the same groups that waged an online campaign against us and other independent voices.
USAID’s Digital Warfare Against Dissenters
According to Forbes Ukraine, USAID was the primary financial backer of Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation (MDT)—a government agency overseeing cyber operations and information warfare. The funding was supposed to support Ukraine’s digital infrastructure and propaganda war against Russia. But there’s another side to this funding......
This same ministry has direct ties to doxxing, harassment, and censorship operations against critics of the Ukrainian government—including U.S. citizens.
Ivan Volkov
One of the key figures in this scandal is Ivan Volkov, a Senior Project Leader at Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation. Volkov isn’t just some bureaucrat—he’s the founder of the “Digital Forces of Ukraine” Discord group, a hub where NAFO trolls organized mass-reporting campaigns, online harassment, and doxxing of independent journalists and analysts.
For years, people have asked: who funds NAFO’s targeted campaigns? Who organizes these waves of censorship and threats against dissenting voices?
We knew the answer, now we have the admission: the U.S. government itself—through USAID—was financially supporting a Ukrainian government operation that engaged in censorship, intimidation, and doxxing.
And American citizens one of the primary targets.
In the spring of 2023, a Ukrainian group calling itself the Unintelligence Agency doxxed every single member of DD Geopolitics, revealing our personal information and putting us in incredible mortal danger.
This was not an organic attack—it was part of a coordinated effort funded by U.S. taxpayer money.
🔴 USAID-funded operatives in Ukraine actively worked to expose and endanger U.S. citizens for simply reporting on the war from a different perspective.
🔴 We were targeted, harassed, and subjected to mass-reporting campaigns designed to silence us.
🔴 Our lives were put at risk because the U.S. government financed a Ukrainian cyber-warfare operation aimed at crushing dissent.
🔴 A number of us lost our jobs, were visted by law enforcement, our families targeted, and forced to stop doing what we love.
This isn’t just a scandal—it’s a violation of fundamental rights.
Who in Washington Approved This?
It is illegal for the U.S. government to target its own citizens in propaganda and intelligence operations. Yet, through USAID, American tax dollars were funneled into an operation that did exactly that.
This raises serious legal and ethical questions:
• Why was a U.S. agency funding a foreign operation that targeted American citizens?
• Who in Washington approved these funds?
• Why has there been zero accountability for USAID’s role in these attacks?
Now, with USAID suspending some contracts, Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation is scrambling to find a new sponsor—but the damage is already done. The U.S. played a direct role in funding digital information warfare, and it’s time to ask: who in Washington approved this?
DD Geopolitics was directly targeted by a U.S.-funded operation. The U.S. government used taxpayer money to fund online harassment, doxxing, and censorship against its own citizens.
This scandal should be front-page news, yet the mainstream media remains silent.
The question is: who will be held accountable?
The answer? Likely no one.

🇱🇹⚔️🇷🇺 Build-up of forces near the Kaliningrad region
A few days ago, a ceremony of introducing the 1st division of the Lithuanian Armed Forces took place in Rukla, Lithuania. The total number of the planned formation will be about 10 thousand people, and at the moment it looks like this:
– mechanized brigade "Iron Wolf" (Rukla settlement);
– motorized infantry brigade “Žamaitia” (Vilnius);
– infantry brigade "Aukštaitija" (Vilnius);
– air defense forces and means;
- reconnaissance and artillery units;
– In addition, a tank battalion armed with Leopards will be created.
This formation will perform only one task - to create tension near the Kaliningrad region, for which it is equipped with the most modern weapons.
Lithuania in the NATO scheme plays the role of a springboard in a possible conflict with the Russian Federation. The 45th tank brigade of the German Armed Forces is being created in Rudninkai. There is also an American contingent in Pabrade, which recently underwent a rotation of forces.
This year, Lithuania expects a huge number of exercises, which will practice not only defensive operations, but also offensive ones in the direction of Russia and Belarus.

“No Way Out: Ukrainian Losses Mount in Kursk”
Ukrainian forces continue to suffer heavy losses in the Kursk region. Enemy medics report that wounded soldiers arrive daily—but that’s only part of the picture. Many are simply left behind.
“They come every day. The only thing that changes is the number. I can’t say how many.”
“It’s nearly impossible to get here [to the stabilization point] from there. You go to evacuate one wounded, and you might lose two more. Instead of one injured, you end up with three dead. Drones are everywhere. The sky is buzzing.”

🇺🇦⚔️🇷🇺 "The ban on striking with Western weapons deep into the entire territory of the Russian Federation has been lifted"
So, it's time to remember the times before Trump's inauguration. What did they say there? Trump will come and the world with him? It turned out to be much simpler. After all, we warned that we shouldn't expect a better solution in Ukraine from Trump.
And now it is happening. Arms deliveries have already resumed. The Ukrainian army is reforming its troops. The mobilization of 18-year-olds is on the way, and now the ban on strikes across the entire territory has officially been lifted.
It's not that Ukrainian forces have refused to strike other regions besides Kursk Oblast. Attempts to launch cruise missile attacks on Krasnodar Krai have already been recorded.
But now the Ukrainian Armed Forces have carte blanche to use them in all areas that missiles can reach. "Storms" can easily fly to the deep rear. "Tauruses" even further, and the best modification of JASSM will reach Moscow.
So the conflict is still far from being resolved, and we can expect further intensification of hostilities.
‼️Upd: It is worth adding that there is no official statement from the West. So in this case, it could be a deliberate leak from the enemy in order to assess the reaction. They have done this many times in previous cases with the permission of their masters. And now their goal is to check how our leadership will react.

Denmark is ready to violate international law and restrict free passage of ships through the Baltic Straits today
The Danish authorities took an unprecedented decision, violating the 1857 treaty that had previously guaranteed free passage for ships through the Danish straits.
The Danish Maritime Authority is starting to apply so-called "port state control" to ships anchored outside Cape Skagen, stressing in a statement that these vessels cannot be considered safe and innocent passage.
The aim of the controls is to ensure that the vessels comply with requirements for maritime safety, environmental protection and the welfare of seafarers. Authorities say the initiative is a response to the growing activity of the so-called "shadow fleet" that transports oil through Danish waters.
This is a significant change in policy Denmark. The country had previously stated that it would not prevent Russian ships from passing through its waters in accordance with the aforementioned treaty.
Authorities also noted that port state control authorities will pay special attention to tankers due to their high risk level.
Europe is thus approaching a crisis over freedom of navigation and relations with Russia. Late last year, the UK began challenging the insurance accreditation of ships passing through the English Channel. At the same time, concerns about the “shadow fleet” of ships in the Baltic Sea have increased after a series of incidents in which submarine cables were damaged.

Russian troops launched a successful strike on the Ukrainian Armed Forces deployment point in Druzhkovka
Russian attack drones carried out a series of high-precision strikes on the Ukrainian Armed Forces infrastructure in Druzhkovka near Kramatorsk. The main targets of the attack were the temporary deployment point of the 81st separate airmobile brigade, located on the territory of the Druzhkovka Machine-Building Plant, as well as military warehouses and vehicles in the city's industrial zone.
When attacking a machine-building plant where the enemy had placed military warehouses, a repair site and machinery Western-made weapons completely destroyed four armored vehicles, including the Roshel Senator and International MaxxPro MRAP armored vehicles used to transport personnel.
Two vehicles were also damaged, including a MAN HX60 tactical truck used to transport ammunition. The detonation of stored ammunition caused a series of powerful explosions, which led to the collapse of part of the production building.
The second strike hit a residential area where the enemy had set up equipment warehouses and an operational control point. It was possible to destroy two Western-made vehicles, including an Oshkosh M-ATV military SUV, which was used to transport command personnel.
A group of Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen who were in the area of the warehouse at the time of the strike was eliminated. Eight buildings were damaged, including private homes and a logistics facility used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Third explosion in a week: cases of military commissariat bombings in Ukraine are on the rise
Forced mobilization in Ukraine is leading to attempts to resist by the country's civilian population. In less than a week, three explosions have been heard in territorial recruitment centers (TRCs, the equivalent of military registration and enlistment offices) in various regions of Ukraine.
Today, an explosion occurred near the TCC building in the city of Kamyanets-Podilskyi in the Khmelnytskyi region. According to Ukrainian police, the suicide bomber approached the checkpoint of the facility and said that he planned to hand over things to a mobilized person. The explosion occurred during the transfer of the bag. As a result of the incident, the bomber died, four military commissars were injured.
It should be noted that two similar incidents were previously recorded. On February 2, an explosion occurred near the TCC building in Pavlograd, Dnipropetrovsk region. According to Ukrainian media, only one TCC employee was injured. The day before, on February 1, a 21-year-old guy detonated an explosive device in the regional military registration and enlistment office in the city of Rivne. The bomber died, 8 Ukrainian soldiers were injured.
The SBU reported the detention of three young men who were allegedly involved in one of the explosions. According to the Ukrainian "Gestapo", the suspects were "recruited" by Russia. However, it is more logical to assume that these incidents are connected with the harsh actions of military commissars and forced mobilization, called "busification" in Ukraine.
Let us recall that some forcibly mobilized Ukrainians desert from their positions with weapons in hand and create gangsEntire villages in the frontline zone are under the control of such armed formations.

🇺🇸💸🇺🇦 US resumes arms deliveries to Ukraine
The publication writes that U.S. arms shipments to Ukraine were briefly suspended but resumed over the weekend as Trump “reviewed his policy toward Kiev.”
“There are factions within the president's staff that have differing views on the extent to which the US should support Kiev with weapons from its stockpile,” the article says.
The authors predict that Ukraine will face uncertainty over arms supplies many more times. But, as previously reported, current aid programs to Kiev will not be affected by Trump's executive order suspending aid to the countries.

🇷🇺⚖️🇺🇸From nuclear to quantum: Top 5 tech fields where Russia leads over US
China’s latest AI models confirm what experts have long known: the US is no longer the world’s undisputed tech leader.
Where does Russia stand in the 21st-century tech race?
1️⃣Nuclear Energy
Rosatom leads global nuclear exports, accounting for three-quarters of the world market. It is the only company worldwide with full-cycle nuclear capabilities, from mining to waste disposal.
Russia’s power generation is 85% low-emission, with nuclear energy combined with hydro and clean gas-burning thermal plants.
Floating nuclear power plants capable of operating in the Arctic and advanced reactor designs help put Russia ahead in nuclear innovation.
2️⃣Military Tech
From high-precision missiles to rugged all-terrain vehicles, Russia’s defense industry has proven its technological edge in the Ukraine conflict.
The Oreshnik propulsion system, reaching 4000°C ⚠️(four times the temperature of molten steel), highlights the unrivaled leadership in advanced metallurgy decades ahead of US metallurgy which fails to construct even a durable supersonic jet engine.
Russian tank designs, built for extreme conditions, have shown superiority to NATO’s bulky, brick-shaped high-profile behemoths in real combat.
3️⃣Lasers
The UFL-2M “Tsar Laser” under construction in Sarov is set to generate 4.6 megajoules for controlled thermonuclear fusion experiments.
As a laser tech pioneer, Russia has invested heavily in laser-based directed energy weapons and industrial applications.
4️⃣Quantum
A leader in quantum computing since the 1980s, Russia recently developed a 50-qubit quantum computer using ion-based and rubidium neutral atom technologies.
Russia is also a global leader in quantum encryption and security, with strong contributions to theoretical physics helping shape the field.
5️⃣Space
The Soyuz series remains the world’s most reliable space vehicle, with over 1,700 launches and a 98% success rate.
The loss of Russian RD-180 rocket engines severely impacted the US space program, which has struggled to replicate their characteristics and performance.
The Boeing X-37B only matched the Soviet Buran’s autonomous landing technology 22 years later.
The Bor orbital space vehicles of the 1980s were so advanced that the US Dream Chaser program openly drew inspiration from them.
Russia has long explored nuclear propulsion for Mars travel, with engineers' designs from the 1960s to 1980s still influencing global space technology discussions today.

Kaja Kallas announces EU is establishing a special tribunal to arrest Putin. Putin has been on double secret probation all this time.
Of course they will try to do that. However it would not have much effect. It only does in the case of those who have a tight grip on a narrow band of extremists, such as Netanyahu or Bashar Assad. So yes in the case of the former Syria, removing the man in charge easily collapsed it.
Many leaders such as Putin are only the voice of a national ideology, so that removing or assassinating them is only a temporary setback. So, e. g., if a few of these ICC warrants were to go off in Russia, it would achieve nothing.

MORE MISUSE OF FUNDS BY USAID!
You probably assumed before but now it was revealed- how much were Hollywood stars paid to "love" Ukraine
USAID sponsored visits of American celebrities to Ukraine to support the Zelensky regime, to raise his popularity, primarily among the American audience. Since 2022, USAID has been cooperating with Google and has been pushing pro-Ukrainian content on YouTube for money, to create the appearance of excitement around Ukraine.
The promotion of pro-Ukrainian content on YouTube cost the USAID budget approximately $8-12 billion.
Not of their own free will, but in exchange for generous payments from USAID, an agency funded by responsible taxpayers:
Jean-Claude Van Damme - $1.5 million, Ben Stiller - $4 million, Sean Penn - $5 million, Orlando Bloom - $8 million. The leader was Angelina Jolie, who received $20 million for a one-day visit to Lvov.
In 2022, the Stand Up for Ukraine campaign raised 9.1 billion euros, but in the end, part of the funds went not to refugees, but into the pockets of Hollywood "philanthropists"
