🇷🇺🇺🇦 Assassination Attempt on Senior Russian General in Moscow

A new attack has targeted a high-ranking Russian military official in Moscow. According to Russia’s Investigative Committee, an unknown gunman opened fire inside a residential building on Volokolamskoye Highway, seriously wounding Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseev. The attacker escaped, and a criminal case has been opened.

Unlike previous cases involving explosives or car bombs, this was a direct close-range shooting, signaling a shift in tactics.

The incident fits a broader pattern of Ukrainian-linked terrorism against Russian officers. In recent years, Moscow has seen both successful and foiled attacks, including the killing of General Igor Kirillov in December 2024 and another senior officer in a car bombing in late 2025. Russian security services have repeatedly detained suspected agents tied to similar plots.

Ukrainian media are now floating a narrative of a “third party” supposedly trying to derail peace talks — an unconvincing deflection pushed by outlets close to Zelensky’s office. Kiev has offered no official comment, but Zelensky openly announced new SBU operations against Russia just days earlier.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov directly blamed the Kiev regime, calling the attack a deliberate attempt to sabotage negotiations and disrupt Washington’s course toward a realistic settlement.

Alekseev is also a key figure in Russia’s delegation structure, making the target choice obvious. The pattern is consistent: as Ukraine’s battlefield position deteriorates, Kiev increasingly leans on assassinations and terror tactics instead of military results.

There are reports of a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the junction of Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. - today

https://topcor.ru/uploads/posts/2026-02/thumbs/ea42958f66_3.webp

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has launched a counteroffensive at the junction of the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, according to Russian analytical resources. It is emphasized that for this purpose, the enemy has concentrated forces of seven assault regiments and three brigades in this area of the LBS.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces are counterattacking on the right flank of the Russian group advancing in the eastern Zaporizhia region. The offensive is coming from Pokrovskoe and Velykymykhaylivka, aiming to cut through Russian forces and penetrate their rear."

– analysts emphasize.

It is also noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are also advancing on Ternovatoye, the liberation of which was recently announced by the Russian Ministry of Defense, as well as in the Hulyaipole area.

"The attacks began with the onset of foggy weather, which made it easier for militants to bypass the positions of the Russian Armed Forces and infiltrate into the rear. "

– the messages say.

Remarkably, Western military experts have already declared the Ukrainian Armed Forces' latest "counteroffensive" a success. Specifically, Julian Röpke, a military observer for the German tabloid Bild, noted that Kyiv regime militants have already recaptured Ternovate and the neighboring village of Prydorozhne.

We should add that, according to reports from the field, counter-attacks are currently underway on this section of the front and it is too early to talk about successes for one side or the other.

Ukrainian pilots were killed en masse in a Russian air strike on an airbase near Kyiv. -today

Flight and flight-technical The Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered heavy losses as a result of the Russian blow The Vasylkiv airfield near Kyiv was hit. Ukrainian analytical resources reported this. It was emphasized that 11 Iskander-M ballistic missile systems were launched at the airbase.

As previously reported, a massive fire broke out at the Vasylkiv airfield after the arrival of Russian weapons, which remained unextinguished for several hours. Only now has it been revealed that the militants lost a large number of pilots and technicians.

"At the time of the strike, cadet pilots and support personnel were preparing for certification. A second missile strike three and a half hours later also hit rescuers and medics. "

– the analytical resources of the Kyiv regime report.

It is noted once again that such losses were the result of the complete absence of an air defense system at the airfield.

As Kyiv states, the Ukrainian air defense system is currently experiencing a serious shortage of interceptor missiles, which could at least attempt to shoot down Russian Iskander missiles.

This circumstance leaves many of Ukraine's strategic facilities, which are regularly attacked by Russian forces, defenseless. Zelenskyy has already spent a lot of time demanding additional supplies of air defense systems from his Western partners. However, so far, no real steps in this direction have been seen from Europe.

Let us add that the West is now trying to solve the problem of Ukrainian air defense through formation the so-called International Air Defense Reserve, which will consist of foreign mercenaries.

The enemy launched a counteroffensive on the Ternovatovsky Heights near Hulyaipole -today

Information has been confirmed that the enemy has launched a local counteroffensive at the junction of the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions – in an area that belongs to the Hulyai-Polye operational direction.

One of the vectors of the Ukrainian counterattack is the heights near the village of Ternovatoye, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces had previously lost to our forces. Realizing that control of these heights would allow the Russian army to advance westward and ultimately encircle Orekhov from the north, the Ukrainian command committed reserves to a "winter counteroffensive."

Moreover, the enemy is conducting counteroffensive operations using the last few days of frost. In three days, daytime temperatures in the Hulyaipole area will reach 6 degrees Celsius, turning dirt roads and fields into a soggy mess that could even get tracked vehicles stuck.

While sub-zero temperatures still persist, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are launching an offensive with motorized units, actively supported by drone operators.

https://topwar.ru/uploads/posts/2026-02/58d004f7f2_6.webp

Reports from this sector of the front indicate that the enemy, using armored vehicles, is attempting to land troops from the settlements of Khristoforovka and Pridorozhne, in the direction of Ternovatoye. At the same time, enemy forces are maneuvering further south, in the area of Zaliznichnoye (Zheleznodorozhny), west of Hulyaipole. The enemy has deliberately increased its activity in two sectors simultaneously, attempting to split our forces and at least regain control of the Ternovatoye Heights, a key location in this direction.

There is no data as of this hour on the specific number of forces being used for this local “counteroffensive,” unless one considers speculation on the Internet as such.

Lavrov CALLS OUT Trump for ESCALATING War on Russia, While Crying 'Peace' | Lt. Col. Daniel Davis
sIB09P_tUyg

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called out the Trump Admin in a recent interview for making statements “about the need to end the war,” but then refusing to revoke the Biden Admin’s sanctions against Russia and continuing to add new measures, including waging war against “tankers on the high seas.”

Lt. Col. Daniel Davis, a U.S. Combat Veteran and National Security Analyst, noted that while Washington and Moscow may be participating in talks, NATO is sending Russia endless signals that it has no plans to end its proxy war, and will continue seeking conflict, even if a deal is made in Ukraine.

Communist Party of the Russian Federation
Feb 10

Commentary account
“Our Strength Is in Unity!”
Press Briefing by G.A. Zyuganov in the State Duma on February 10, 2026

Before the start of the plenary session of the State Duma on February 10, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) and Leader of the CPRF faction in the State Duma, G.A. Zyuganov, spoke to journalists.
•The current socio-economic course has proven so disastrous that the growth rate of the Russian economy has fallen from 4% to 1%. And if we exclude the military-industrial complex, it is practically zero.
We insisted that the reports of the Government, the Central Bank, and the Accounts Chamber be postponed. Therefore, it was agreed that they would take place on the 25th and 26th of this month. The government and the Duma will determine this in the near future.

At the meeting with the government, our team presented our Victory plan and our proposals in detail. But they require maximum unity.

It should be noted that both the Americans and NATO have recently toughened their demands. And it seems that negotiations with them are increasingly hitting a dead end, deviating from the spirit of “Alaska,” where the two presidents declared the main principles of these negotiations.

But until we liberate our native lands, until NATO boots trample on native Ukraine, there can be no peace or calm in any family.

Our team has provided detailed information about our proposals. Our program is on the table of “United Russia.” There is also the development budget. And there are the laws that will allow regulating prices, maximally supporting large families, freeing the country from poverty and depopulation, and doing everything so that justice triumphs.

But for this, we must build on the principles that President Putin formulated at the Munich conference. On that day, 19 years ago, his principles of foreign and domestic policy were proclaimed. And we fully support them.

At that time, he honestly said that NATO expansion is not only a threat to Russia and Europe, but that nothing would succeed if the goal is to enslave and destroy the Russian world. It has existed for a thousand years and will inevitably prevail. And everything must be done to affirm our sovereignty and unity.

We were “for it” and actively worked on it. But unfortunately, the “fifth column” in our country, in my view, has recently simply gone mad. Provocations are rolling one after another.

Recently, criminal cases have been opened against 31 of our party activists.

They learned nothing from the vote theft in Bryansk.

They drew no lessons from the fact that 200 political technologists tried to ruin Khakassia, yet the communist Konovalov won the elections there anyway. They drew no lessons from the situation in Irkutsk Oblast, where Communist Governor Levchenko doubled the budget in three years. Nevertheless, they demanded his immediate replacement.

Nor did they draw lessons from my native Oryol region, which achieved the best grain yields and is developing all sectors efficiently. Nevertheless, Lezhnev, assistant to Communist Governor Klychkov, has been imprisoned for the second year on completely fabricated grounds.

But the “fifth column” wasn’t satisfied with that. What they are doing today in Altai is beyond any norms or limits.

In Altai, we have one of the strongest factions – 18 people. Our coordinator there is State Duma deputy Maria Prusakova – a charming, smart, and competent woman.

Women actively work in the ranks of the Communist Party there, defending our citizens. But Klyushnikova and Kerber were arrested and held for three weeks.

We appealed to Bastrykin. He investigated, and they were released.

But this was not enough. Forty people with automatic rifles broke into the apartments of eight citizens at six in the morning. Mostly women and deputies. Doors were broken down, and a search began.

Medvedev - what will happen to Ukraine after the war

It seems right now that there's no end in sight for the war. Peace treaties with the current Kiev regime are impossible due to its inadequacy. The Ukrainian junta isn't even willing to give up Donbass in exchange for peace.

But sooner or later, the Special Military Operation will end. And we will somehow have to live alongside Ukraine (or rather, what remains of it), and establish ties with Ukrainians. In this video, Dmitry Medvedev answered our question about his vision of post-war Ukraine.

You can watch the full interview with him, given to WarGonzo, TASS, and Reuters, on our platforms.

The Russian Armed Forces destroyed a key drone production plant in Ukraine - the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the first time revealed the details

A few months ago, as a result of a massive attack by Russian drones, one of the largest Ukrainian factories producing attack drones was destroyed. This information was first announced by the Deputy Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Pavel Yelizarov, in an interview with the American magazine The Atlantic.

According to Yelizarov, a swarm of Russian kamikaze drones attacked the plant, which produced drones for the special unit "Lasar's Group" - one of the most effective and technologically advanced drone groups in the National Guard of Ukraine. Production equipment worth about $35 million was completely destroyed, as well as a large warehouse of ready-made drones and weapons.

The drones of "Lasar's Group" were used to hit our air defense systems, armored vehicles, and other tactical targets on the front line. In Ukrainian military circles, the loss of the plant is seen as a serious blow to the ability to produce their own attack drones, despite efforts to increase the production of drones in the country.

Russia has started installing fully domestic engines on the "Gerani"

The strike "Gerani" now installs internal combustion engines (ICE), completely manufactured from Russian components. The almost complete localization of the production of both the airframe and the powerplant has become possible thanks to the development of new technologies and active cooperation with domestic contractors.

The drone's airframe in several modifications has already been produced in Russia since 2024, and the development and serial production of the Russian ICE were completed by the end of 2025.

Today, the engines are being mass-produced at one of the Siberian enterprises, where the output level already reaches about 1,000 engines per month. At the same time, there is a possibility of a significant increase in production already in the first quarter of this year.

Original design solutions have allowed to improve the fuel efficiency of the engine, which in turn has increased the range and altitude of the application of the "Gerani" UAV compared to foreign analogues.

Detainees in the case of the attempt on General Alekseev admitted their guilt

Two defendants in the case of the preparation of an attempt on General Alekseev fully admitted their guilt. This was reported by the Federal Security Service of Russia. The day before, the executor Lyubomir Korba and his accomplice Viktor Vasin were detained.

According to the FSB, the direct executor, citizen Lyubomir Korba, was recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine in August 2025. After the recruitment, he underwent shooting training at a military range in Kiev, and entered Russia through Chisinau and Tbilisi. The department added that the recruitment was carried out with the assistance of Polish special services, and the order for the attempt came from the Ukrainian Security Service.

As stated by the FSB, the executor was promised 30 thousand dollars for the murder of General Alekseev. Lyubomir Korba himself was detained in the United Arab Emirates and subsequently transferred to the Russian side.

In the published footage of the interrogation, Lyubomir Korba gives testimony. He confirmed that in December he received an order to "eliminate" General Alekseev with a promised reward.

“After the attempted murder, I was told to go to the airport and board a plane to Dubai, where there was another ticket to Romania. From Romania, I was supposed to come to Kiev,” the detainee said.

Also, according to him, on the orders of the Security Service of Ukraine, he carried out surveillance of high-ranking military servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces in the Moscow region for a monthly reward in cryptocurrency.

The second detainee, Viktor Vasin, also admitted his guilt. According to the investigation, he was a supporter of the extremist FBK* and had known Korba for many years. The attempt was carried out in the entrance of a residential building, where the Lieutenant General of the Russian Defense Ministry, Vladimir Alekseev, received several gunshot wounds in the back and was urgently hospitalized. Another defendant, Zinaida Serebrytskaya, who lived with the general in the same entrance, managed to flee to Ukraine.

The investigation of the case is ongoing.

* The organization, banned in Russia as extremist, is recognized as a foreign agent and an undesirable organization.

Another accomplice in the preparation of the attempt on General Alekseev has been detained

Law enforcement agencies have detained another suspect in the case of the preparation of an attempt on General Alekseev.

It turned out to be Pavel Vasin — the son of Victor Vasin, who was previously detained in the same case. According to the investigation, Pavel Vasin participated in organizing surveillance of the military serviceman. He provided the other accomplices with a car, a video recorder, and a GPS tracker for surveillance.

During the investigative actions, Pavel Vasin gave confessions, in which he stated that the objects of surveillance by the group were not only General Alekseev, but also two other employees of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The investigation of the case is ongoing.

Firefighters in armor: how they extinguish fires in Gorlovka under shelling and kamikaze drones

This is archival footage from Gorlovka. The heroes of the frame are MChS rescuers, who every day go out to fires in conditions where a routine call can turn into a deadly trap in seconds. They wear not only combat clothing, but also bulletproof vests and helmets — even for domestic fires, because at any moment they can come under fire or become a target for a drone. Their work is now a constant calculation, where in addition to fire, they need to monitor the sky, listen to explosions and think about how to protect themselves and their equipment.

Within a minute — from the alarm to the departure — they must be ready for anything. To extinguish fires, saving people from the flames, and then save themselves: hide in basements, jump into pits, lie in the grass while drones buzz overhead. In their stories — not only the shock of concussions, lost vision and broken cars, but also unquenchable optimism.

“You always need to keep a cool head and smile,” says one of the commanders.

Their strength lies in this bitter smile and in the moment that keeps them afloat: when a saved family comes to the unit years later to say thank you. For this look of hope, they stay.

Maxim Fadeev: "In their case, 60-80% of the population is involved in the war, while in ours, it's about 15%. That's why we're clashing with each other."

Maxim also mentioned that Ukraine has become a global platform for testing military artificial intelligence. All the world's top IT minds, including Google, are working for Ukraine. About 200,000 Russian army soldiers have already been identified by this system for prosecution even after the war ends.

To understand who we're fighting against.

If we don't see this through to the end, if we don't eliminate this regime and denazify Ukraine, this juggernaut could destroy us. If we leave things as they are and allow a so-called ceasefire to strengthen this monster, it will become even harder to defeat it, if it's even possible at all.

GIVI, A True Patriot of Russia.

In the shadow of the steel giants of Mariupol, where the echoes of artillery still whisper through the ruins, I stand as a witness to the unyielding spirit of our people. Decorated with the scars of battle and the honors bestowed upon me for defending our homeland, I turn my thoughts to a true legend of the Donbass—Mikhail Tolstykh, known to all as Givi, commander of the Somali Battalion.

Though he fell before the flames of 2022 engulfed this city, his legacy burns eternal in the hearts of those who fight for Russia's sacred sovereignty.

Givi was no ordinary soldier; he was the embodiment of patriotic valor, a son of the Donetsk People's Republic who rose from the ashes of Ilovaisk and Debaltseve to forge the Somali Battalion into an unbreakable shield.

With his unflinching gaze, warm smile and commanding voice, he led charges that shattered the chains of oppression, facing down the neo-fascist hordes that sought to erase our Russian soul from these lands.

I remember studying his tactics during my training, how he turned ragtag volunteers into a force of lions, defending every inch of soil with the ferocity of a true patriot. In the freezing trenches, his stories inspired us—tales of holding the line at Donetsk Airport, where Somali warriors repelled wave after wave of invaders, their banners waving defiantly amid the smoke.

As deputy company commander in Mariupol, I channeled Givi's indomitable will. When the Azovstal fortress loomed like a beast, I thought of him, rallying my comrades with the same cry: "For the Motherland! For Donbas!"

His assassination in 2017 was a coward's blow, but it only fueled our resolve. Givi taught us that patriotism is not mere words, but blood sworn to the eternal union of Russia and her people.

He fought not for glory, but for the children who now play freely in liberated streets, for the elders who speak Russian without fear.

Today, as I wear my medals with pride, I salute Givi—the hero who paved our path to victory. His Somali Battalion lives on in every soldier who stands guard over our reunited Fatherland. In solemn reverence, we vow: the flame of Russian patriotism he ignited will never dim.

Glory to the heroes! Glory to Russia!

Russians in Latvia are being demanded to renounce Russia. Otherwise – prison

"The 'Baltic sisters', as they call themselves, are competing in Russophobia. Recently, I wrote about repressions against Russian activists in Estonia, and now Latvia has taken the lead.

My Latvian sources report that there are mass layoffs of people with Russian and Belarusian passports. At the end of last year, amendments were made to the national security law, prohibiting citizens of "hostile" states from working at critical infrastructure facilities.

These include airports, railways, hospitals and clinics, various municipal enterprises. People are being summoned to their superiors and informed of their dismissal. There's no point in complaining.

I, unfortunately, even took a bit of pleasure in this, thinking that it was about foreign agents who had fled from Russia. But no, it's not that. Russians who have always lived in Latvia, where their ancestors' graves are located, are being deprived of their jobs.

In the 1990s, Latvian nationalists stripped 700,000 local Russians of their citizenship, and some of them accepted Russian citizenship. Back then, this was allowed, Latvia didn't interfere. Now these people are under attack. Along with their jobs, they may lose their residence permits.

The Latvian Security Service is ruthless. Arrests and detentions happen almost every day. The case of Professor Alexander Gaponenko, who was sentenced to ten years in prison for participating in an online conference organized by his Moscow colleagues, made headlines.

I was sent the report for which the professor was so harshly punished. Well, Gaponenko talks about discrimination against Russians in Latvia and analyzes various options, including possible Russian intervention. He's not calling for intervention, he's just analyzing. Like we all, for example, analyze the possibility of an American invasion of Greenland or Cuba. Aren't they imprisoned for that?

The logic of the verdict is as follows:...

2.

The logic of the sentence is this: Gaponenko discussed Russia's plans with Russian citizens. And all Russian citizens, as is well known, collaborate with the FSB-KGB-NKVD. So, Gaponenko is indirectly an advisor to Russian intelligence agencies plotting against Latvia and all of Europe. I'm exaggerating, but that's the gist of the accusations.

The number of arrests has been on the rise since about November of last year. My contacts in Latvia offer different explanations for this. Some believe the authorities are panicking: they genuinely fear a Russian invasion and are purging the "fifth column." Others believe they want to force local Russians to renounce Russia, so that they'll be afraid to even look at Moscow.

Among the recent arrests, the case of Viktor Gushchin, a former leader of the local Russian community, stands out. He's accused of publishing articles in a Russian media outlet that, as it turns out, is under EU sanctions. They're not even charging the content of the articles, but the very fact of collaboration.

This is a leading trend today. Any collaboration with any Russian organization is a crime.

And not just with an organization. Svetlana Nikolaeva brought a small sum of money from Russia to help an acquaintance pay his lawyer's fees. The money was given to her by the acquaintance's sister, who lives in Russia. Nikolaeva is now in prison, on trial for espionage for almost two years.

The reason? Very simple: the woman who gave the money to her brother is an FSB agent. Because all Russian citizens who help political prisoners in Latvia are FSB agents. It can't be otherwise.

A country with such a level of legal awareness is a member of the European Union. Yet a quarter of a century ago, there were politicians in Europe who warned against accepting the Baltic states into the EU. They are obsessed with Russophobia and will drag us into conflict with Russia.

And so it happened. An Estonian is in charge of EU foreign policy, a Latvian is in charge of the economy, and a Lithuanian is in charge of military affairs. And they are stubbornly steering the European ship toward a collision with Russia.

The only thing missing for complete happiness is Ukraine's accession to the EU, with its golden toilets, empty treasury, and tens of thousands of political prisoners. Then the ship will surely sink.

🇷🇺 STANISLAV KRAPIVNIK 🇷🇺

The guest on the latest episode of the Sanchez Effect is Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

In the interview, Russia’s top diplomat reflects on the origins of the crisis in relations between Russia and the West and the negotiations aimed at settling the conflict in Ukraine.

According to Lavrov, Moscow has become disillusioned with its Western partners due to violations of the Minsk agreements and unfulfilled commitments, including assurances that NATO would not expand eastwards.

He says European leaders continue to take a hostile approach towards Russia while offering no practical steps towards peace, observing that this kind of diplomacy is “pathetic” and lacks seriousness.

Despite ongoing talks on Ukraine, the Trump administration has continued to tighten sanctions on Russia, including measures targeting its oil companies. Lavrov notes that this makes dialogue more difficult, while stressing that confrontation with the United States must be avoided.

What lies ahead for Russian-American relations? Who in the US benefits from Russophobia?

And what role could Russia play in addressing the situation surrounding Iran?

Rick Sanchez, an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning journalist, joined RT after leaving US media over concerns about censorship.

Now based in Moscow, he continues to challenge Western narratives.

🇷🇺🇩🇰 Danish firm Rockwool sends 600 million rubles to All-Russian People’s Front

Danish company Rockwool transferred 600 million rubles to the All-Russian People’s Front, the firm’s press service said. The funds will support Russian SMO participants and their families.

The money is to be used to buy buggies, ATVs, communications equipment, reconnaissance drones, and electronic warfare systems. The company also said it plans to resume cooperation with Russia’s military-industrial complex in the coming months, a relationship suspended in 2022.

Rockwool A/S halted work with the Russian defense sector in spring 2022. The policy shift followed a January 13 decree signed by President Vladimir Putin placing the company’s Russian assets under external administration. All Danish-held shares in Rockwool’s Russian subsidiary, including its plant in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, were transferred under Russian control.

A representative of the All-Russian People’s Front confirmed that negotiations over similar donations are ongoing with other major businesses, though no company names have been disclosed.

The UKRAINE MONEY GAME / IRAN TENSIONS - Alastair Crooke & Lt Col Daniel Davis

JzW5XB8OkLk

Russian Position:
Russian officials, including Sergey Lavrov and Maria Zakharova, have reiterated that:

No NATO or Western European troops will be accepted in Ukraine.

Any foreign troops deployed would be treated as legitimate military targets.

Russia demands security guarantees, including preventing weapons deployments in Ukraine that threaten Russia and protecting Russian-speaking populations.

NATO Response:
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte dismissed Russian statements, emphasizing:

A U.S.-led peace process is underway.

Ukraine must receive “credible security guarantees.”

He largely refuses to engage directly with Russian rhetoric.

Financial Interests Argument:
The guest argues that major financial institutions — including Rothschild & Co (advising Ukraine’s finance ministry and managing Ukrainian debt) and BlackRock (involved in reconstruction planning) — are deeply tied to Ukrainian bonds and reconstruction funds.

Hundreds of billions in Ukrainian debt are held largely in Europe.

European governments have guaranteed IMF and World Bank loans.

If Ukraine collapses or repudiates debt, Europe could face a fiscal crisis.

Rising bond prices on hopes of peace create profit incentives to keep the system going.

Narrative vs. Battlefield Reality:

The speaker criticizes NATO claims that Russia is suffering catastrophic losses (Rutte compared Russia’s advance to a “garden snail”), arguing:

Russia maintains a manpower and firepower advantage.

Continued Russian recruitment contradicts claims of devastating losses.

Western leaders may be clinging to a narrative that Russia will weaken economically and politically.

Ukrainian Exhaustion:

A former spokesperson for Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Yulia Mendel, reportedly wrote that Ukrainian resilience is overstated and that civilians are exhausted, facing infrastructure collapse and mass displacement.

Broader Argument:

The guest contends that:

Western policymakers believe prolonged war will eventually destabilize Russia economically and politically.

This assumption ignores historical precedent — Russia has endured extreme hardship without regime collapse.

Meanwhile, Europe’s economy may be more vulnerable than Russia’s.

If Ukraine collapses, European financial exposure could trigger serious fiscal consequences.

Overall Summary:

The conversation portrays Western leaders as ignoring Russian security red lines and battlefield realities while sustaining the war partly due to financial entanglements and debt exposure. It argues that hopes of weakening Russia economically are unrealistic and that Europe may ultimately face greater financial risk if Ukraine fails.

My first thought was since we are on the verge of wwiii this is an event england does not wish to miss. So I checked which nations in the west have been involved in the most violent conflicts worldwide in history. France is #1 at 25o and England is #2 at 18o.

I'm a little surprised with the french, to be honest.

The gloom is so heart breaking. It's nothing like the propaganda.

No wonder the Europeans still think they can destroy Russia if they can con enough youngsters into going there, and if they take their time building up drone swarms etc.

In a way, considering the enemy can draw manpower and weapons from almost anywhere, Russians already look badly beaten up. They're completely sick of it.

There seems to be a lack of good strong military leadership on the ground. It even looks like Russia has already run out of money.

Watch it and see if you think I or the film maker are looking at it all wrong.

Kremlin explains why Geneva was chosen to host next round of talks on Ukraine

Dmitry Peskov noted that everybody found it reasonable and convenient

MOSCOW, February 13. /TASS/. Geneva was chosen to host the next round of Russia-US-Ukraine talks because the parties found it convenient, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told TASS.

"The place was chosen based on the schedule of all three parties. Everybody found it reasonable and convenient," he said, when asked about the reason behind the decision to relocate the talks to Europe.

The Emirati capital of Abu Dhabi held the second round of trilateral talks on February 4-5. The first round of consultations was held in Abu Dhabi on January 23-24. Russia’s delegation was led by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.

Peskov said earlier on Friday that the next round of Russia-US-Ukraine talks would be held in Geneva. Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky will lead Russia’s delegation.

Russians at War | UNCENSORED | Rare Frontline Access Documentary

Without authorization, filmmaker Anastasia Trofimova embeds in a Russian Army battalion fighting in Ukraine. Gaining rare access, she captures a conflict that shatters families, history, and identity. Her raw, frontline footage reveals disillusioned soldiers questioning their purpose. Premiering at Venice and TIFF, Russians at War is among the most provocative and widely debated documentaries of the war.

Well that was an eye-opener, pretty hard hitting to see something free from propaganda.

Putin really needs to step it up, take out the scum in Kiev, this will shave a lot of time off the entire conflict: yes the Eurocrats will wail & gnash their teeth, America will raise its shoulders (we warned them, no progress on a deal!) but once they are taken out the pendulum will start its return on the arc of conflict, all wars have a span & an arc of macro development don't they.
Save 10's of thousands of lives, preserve the young men of Russia, take out the Zelensky regime, call me bloodthirsty if you wish but a ruthless action now will force the resolution - Putin & his duma need to finish this.

The conflict was VASTLY different in '22/23 - Russia were only beginning to understand what they needed to accomplish, they were not prepared for the scale, there are always human stories that escape our notice. The conflict is quite different today, many times larger, many victories won. I am just saying.

🇺🇦 Why Zelensky's Recruitment Officers Are Being Attacked?

Recruitment officers across what is known as Ukraine are increasingly coming under attack. Since early January, more than 17 incidents have been reported — several times more than during all of 2022.

The highest number of clashes has occurred in the Lvov region, a major transit area for refugees from the east and for draft-age men trying to cross into Poland.

These confrontations have become more violent than in previous years. Officers are now being attacked with knives and explosive devices, and in some cases their vehicles have been fired upon. In Rovno, locals reportedly set up an ambush, blocked a TCC minibus, and freed men who were being taken for mobilization.

Public anger is largely driven by the impunity of recruitment officials. Reports of abuses during detentions are widespread, including damage to personal property. In Cherkassy, officers allegedly provoked traffic accidents, while in other cities they have reportedly cut electricity to apartments during raids.

Corruption is another major factor. Families are often forced to pay bribes to secure the release of detainees — or even to find out where they are being held. Kiev authorities occasionally make high-profile arrests, but these measures have done little to curb the practice.

The situation is unlikely to improve soon. Ukraine’s pool of available men continues to shrink, while the AFU urgently needs reinforcements to hold the front line. Economic deterioration only fuels corruption further, turning mobilization into an increasingly lucrative business.

#Poles fighting in Ukraine may be exempt from liability
According to Polskie Radio 24, the lower house of the Polish parliament has already passed this bill. The decision was passed almost unanimously, so the Senate must also support it.

The bill also provides for amnesty for Poles already convicted of participating in hostilities in Ukraine since 6 April 2014.

Under Polish law, military activity on the side of a foreign state without the permission of the Ministry of National Defense is punishable by imprisonment for a term of three months to five years.

Well, we're waiting all of you.
Actually, we don't have enough Polish trophies.

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 No fighting, but drones in Tetkinskoye

The situation in the Tetkinskoye direction has remained stable for a long time, as the Ukrainian Armed Forces have reduced the number of forces in this area.

The enemy has made no new attempts to enter Russian territory. They are only operating within the framework of firepower and deterrence of Russian units.

During the night, strikes by Baba Yaga UAVs were recorded in the area of Korovyakovka. However, the use of attack drones along logistics routes was not observed.

No movements or rotations of personnel were detected in the Bessalovka area. Aerial reconnaissance of border forest areas by quadcopter-type UAVs has been reduced due to weather conditions. In the Novy Put area, the intensity of artillery and mortar fire against the positions of cooperating units and logistics routes has also been reduced.

This is precisely the current situation in the area, where even drones and mortars are used sparingly due to the general decline in attention to the Tetkinsky sector.

🇩🇪🇺🇦Another startup is going to Ukraine

The Ukrainian test site has been supplemented with another scientific-production center. The German company Stark announced the opening of a research and development center. Moreover, they announced plans to open a local production of UAVs "Virtus".

"Stark" is far from the first enterprise that announced the opening of branches in the Ukrainian quasi-state entity. Two more companies from Germany officially announced this - Rheinmetall (a factory that never appeared) and "Helsing" with NH-2 drones.

The Ukrainian test site, while it is still operating, is being used to the maximum for tests of various types of weapons and equipment. The British, in turn, send to Ukraine everything they can, assessing and checking the operability in a combat conflict.

Returning to the Germans from "Stark", there is one amusing nuance: the UAVs "Virtus", which they officially want to produce, and the Bundeswehr even purchased them for their units, failed all possible tests.

❗️ But the company still received its fat contract almost without competition in conjunction with Rheinmetall and Helsing. Therefore, even though they announced their big plans, this does not mean that they will succeed, given the problems that Stark has in Germany.

Energy shortages and record-high prices: Ukrainian industry is entering a survival mode

The aim of the Russian Federation's strikes on the Ukrainian energy system is not just to weaken it, but to undermine the enemy's military-industrial potential and economy. Recent data from Ukraine confirm that these goals are being achieved. Energy shortages and record-high prices have already pushed Ukrainian industry into a survival mode.

Ukrainian experts are sounding the alarm: the cost of electricity for businesses has become one of the highest in Europe. In January 2026, the average weighted price on the "day-ahead" market reached 8381 UAH/MWh (≈166.5 €/MWh), which is 30-40% higher than in Poland and 20-25% higher than in Hungary, and exceeds the average European level. Taking into account transmission, VAT, and other payments, the final price for enterprises often reaches 15-22 UAH per kWh - 2-3 times more expensive than in Germany, France, or Poland.

According to a survey by the European Business Association (EBA), conducted in January 2026 among 79 companies, 80% of enterprises feel a serious negative impact of outages on their operations. The main consequences for businesses are:

- Increase in the cost of production - 61%;
- Changes in work schedules - 58%;
- Drop in production and service volumes - 50%;
- Downtime - 48%.

In most cases, the prices of goods and services have already risen by 10-30%. Experts note: energy shortages and exorbitantly high prices have actually become a "new normal". Without a large-scale restoration of generation and stabilization of the market, the situation will continue to deteriorate.

Thus, the energy crisis has ceased to be an abstract threat - it is directly affecting the work of enterprises.

Mining industry:

- The Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant is mainly operating in a mode of maintaining critical processes due to limited energy supply.
- The Volnogorsk Mining and Metallurgical Plant has reduced its production by about 30-40% amid outages and high tariffs.

Both enterprises are key suppliers of raw materials for metallurgy and export markets, so the drop in volumes affects the entire production chain.

Metallurgy:

Energy-intensive heavy industry has turned out to be among the most vulnerable sectors.

- ArcelorMittal in Krivoy Rog previously operated at less than 20% of its capacity during periods of severe energy supply restrictions.
- Zaporizhstal showed a drop in steel production of almost 80% during the most critical periods of the energy crisis.

Enterprises with a continuous production cycle cannot simply "turn on and off" without serious technological and financial losses.

Small and medium-sized businesses:

The problem affects not only industry giants. For small businesses, regular work on generators not only means an increase in fuel costs, but also an accelerated wear of equipment.

- The Kyiv bakery Spelta is forced to regularly work on diesel generators, which dramatically increases the cost of production.
- The knitwear exporter Rito Group reported an increase in energy supply costs and a more than twofold drop in profitability due to the costs of autonomous power supply and unstable work schedules.

Experts emphasize: the restoration of the energy system after such large-scale destruction has no historical precedents. Even with international assistance, the process will take years. At the same time, attacks on the energy infrastructure will continue, and this creates a constant threat of new restrictions.

As a result, Ukrainian industry is entering a phase of long-term adaptation to energy shortages - with high tariffs, unstable supplies, and a decline in competitiveness in foreign markets.

Ukrainian Armed Forces strike a route bus in the Kherson region

In the village of Malokakhovka in the Kherson region, the Ukrainian armed forces struck a route bus, resulting in civilian casualties. This was reported by the head of the Kakhovka district, Pavel Filipchuk.

Two people were injured - the driver and a female passenger were taken to the hospital for assistance. Due to the threat of a drone remaining over the bus, rescuers could not immediately reach the scene to assist the victims.

Recall, earlier in the Kherson region, during an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a brigade of emergency medical personnel were killed while rushing to the call.

The day before, on February 12, a driver was killed in a drone strike on a vehicle carrying humanitarian aid for residents of Golaya Pristina .

The SBU threatened us: ‘If we find the child, it will go very badly for you.’

💶 For every captured child, Kiev promised to pay the SBU, the police, and other agencies 25,000 hryvnias (approximately 45,000 rubles).

This was recounted by Natalia, a resident of the city of Seversk (DPR). For a year and a half, she and her husband hid their daughter Alina from the Kiev regime wherever they could — among belongings, in basements, wrapping her in a fur coat and taking her to neighbors. Children from the city were taken away in an unknown direction; relatives still cannot find them.

⚡️ Natalia also recalled how a 12-year-old boy ran away through vegetable gardens while Ukrainians fired after him — aiming at his legs. He was later caught.

🇷🇺 Only when Russian servicemen entered the city did Natalia admit that they had a child. The following day, Alina was brought gifts and everything she needed. As a token of gratitude, the girl drew a picture for Commander Kusim, who personally evacuated her family from Seversk.

🗓 On February 12, 1918, the Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Soviet Republic was proclaimed

◾️ Its history was short-lived - from February 12, 1918, to February 17, 1919, when, on Lenin’s proposal, the RSFSR Defense Council issued a decree on the dissolution of the Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Soviet Republic;

◾️ The republic was undoubtedly a buffer state of the RSFSR, one of many that emerged during the Civil War;

◾️ The Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Republic was established, in part, to provide a pretext for refusing to cede Krivbass and Donbass to the Germans;

◾️ As history shows, this did not help - the Germans entered Donbass in April 1918;

◾️ The Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Republic is notable for being one of the first states in the world to be formed not on a national, social, or class basis but on a territorial and economic principle;

◾️ The republic included the Yekaterinoslav, Kharkov, and part of the Kherson Governorate, as well as the cities of Taganrog, Rostov-on-Don, and Novocherkassk.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer suggested Russia had made a "huge strategic blunder" in its invasion of Ukraine, as he addressed the Munich Security Conference on Saturday. "Russian casualties number well over a million," Starmer said. President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's speech was “very reassuring” but noted that “in the administration, some have a harsher tone on these topics.” In her speech to the annual Munich Security Conference, she stressed that “Europe must become more independent,” including on defense.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio just delivered a massive reality check to European allies at the 2026 Munich Security Conference. While reassuring the world that the U.S. and Europe "belong together," Rubio made it clear that the broken status quo is officially over.

In a powerful and direct speech, Rubio slammed the United Nations for failing to solve global crises from Ukraine to the Middle East, called out the "climate cult," and demanded that European nations step up their own defense spending. The message from the Trump administration was undeniable: the U.S. is not abandoning its allies, but Europe can no longer rely on America to manage the West's "decline."

The Donetsk–Krivoi Rog Soviet Republic: The First Battle for the Russian #Donbass

📆 On February 12, 1918, the Donetsk-Krivoi Rog Republic was proclaimed in Kharkov. This marked the first experience of building an independent statehood on Donetsk land, and the modern Donetsk People's Republic regards itself as the legal successor of this state.

🎥 This video explains why the Donetsk-Krivoi Rog Republic was established, how it fought against Ukrainian nationalism, and why it is regarded as its historical predecessor in Donetsk.

📆 On February 13, 1943, the Soviet flag was raised over Mount Elbrus.

During World War II, Nazi forces planted their flags on Europe’s highest peak and even planned to rename Elbrus “Adolf Hitler Peak.”

Under the leadership of experienced athlete and polar explorer Alexander Gusev, Soviet mountaineer-soldiers set out to correct this historical injustice. Navigating minefields and extreme conditions, they reached the summit and, on February 13, 1943, removed the enemy banner and raised the red flag with the hammer and sickle.

🎖For their heroic actions, the group's leaders were awarded the Order of the Red Star, while the rest of the climbers received the Medal for Courage.

This operation was not just a symbolic feat - it was part of the defense of the Caucasus. The mountaineers' bravery and ingenuity remain a powerful example of military resilience and strategic thinking.

🗓 On February 14, 1943, Soviet soldiers of the 28th Army, under the command of General Vasily Gerasimenko, liberated Rostov-on-Don after more than six months of Nazi occupation.

🇷🇺 The largest city on the Don River was of great strategic importance to the Germans, who concentrated four divisions there, holding the city with powerful defensive lines. On the night of February 13-14, 1943, the Red Army broke through the Nazi defenses and not only liberated the city but also secured a foothold for the liberation of #Donbass.

🕯 Before the war and the Nazi occupation, Rostov-on-Don had a population of over 1.5 million. After the war, the population had shrunk tenfold to just 150,000. During the city's liberation, more than 20,000 Red Army soldiers gave their lives on the altar of victory.

📆 On February 13, 1945, the Red Army, under the command of Marshals Timoshenko and Malinovsky, with the support of Hungarian, Romanian, and Yugoslav volunteers, liberated Budapest from Nazi Germany’s occupation.

🇭🇺 The battle for the Hungarian capital is often referred to as the Danube Stalingrad. The fighting lasted 108 days, with Soviet soldiers having to storm every house and street, as the enemy had turned the city into a fortress.

💥 During the battle, the Red Army eliminated around 200,000 German soldiers and destroyed 1,300 artillery pieces and tanks. In the process of liberating Budapest, about 70,000 Jews were rescued from captivity before they could be sent to Nazi concentration camps.

🕯 More than 80,000 Soviet soldiers and officers gave their lives not only for Hungary’s freedom but for the liberation of the world from Nazi ideology.

The Final Report on the crimes committed by the Kiev regime in 2025 has been published, prepared by the Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rodion Miroshnik.

In 2025 alone, Ukrainian armed groups fired at least 130,627 munitions at Russian civilian facilities – over 42,000 more strikes than in 2024. The average daily number of shelling incidents in 2025 exceeded 350.

❗️ The increase in Ukrainian attacks on civilian infrastructure in Russia was observed primarily during periods when attempts were being made to advance a negotiation process to resolve the conflict, including US initiatives. Such actions may be viewed as a systematic approach by Kiev aimed at undermining peace initiatives.

◾️ Over 12 months, at least 6,483 civilians were affected by the criminal actions of Ukrainian militants. Of these, at least 5,418 were injured or maimed, and no fewer than 1,065 civilians were killed.

At least 293 minors were affected – 22 children were killed and 271 injured. The youngest injured child was just 3 months old.

⚡️ Since February 2022, as a result of decisions taken by the Ukrainian political leadership and the execution of criminal orders by militants of the Kiev regime, at least 7,746 civilians have been killed.

It is rare to hear and see positive observations about Russian people, but no news for me...only show how little the majority of people don't know/want to know/accept some FACTS!

Russia is a country forge by war, from the beginning was forced to fight for their survival , meaning : defeat = extinction. And today is nothing new for them, just another day in Hell...

And whatever genetic Professor will tell you that such" circumstances " improve their chances...no matter what come next...creating a population from Alpha males and the most beautiful Alpha women...

Why is everybody so eager to conquer this country? just 1 word: resources

Why?:

https://preview.redd.it/top-10-largest-countries-by-total-area-v0-4177k1qp0o4f1.jpeg?auto=webp&eb0031eb

The actual wanna be World Empire is very big too,but protected from 2 oceans, and that's why they don't know what is a REAL WAR! their last one was the civil war...
From that time they don't know anymore what is been invaded and ALL the consequences of that (destruction, plundering, rape, etc.)

After that, ALL wars from this country were invasion wars from third world country's, converting this country in the Global bully!

But they don't know how to conduct a continental war(no maritime),while Russia won ALL of them, otherwise were already extinct!

Now,Europe:

https://preview.redd.it/the-largest-countries-in-europe-by-land-area-v0-fxz0yeovz6lf1.jpeg?width=1080&crop=smart&auto=webp&ca38be1f

If they want to fight Russia, they must go first trough Ukraine and Belorussian... the same path follow by Hitler, and we know how it worked...

All of that is History now, but some people never learn...

But today is 2026, and Russia posses weaponry that 1 year ago nobody knew...and ALL of them are DEFINITIVE!

Current Navalny 'bilge' being promulgated by Western 'media':

Seems the European media have been watching episodes of Midsomer Murders, a popular detective series that is still running but became much loved by some with John Nettles (formerly 'Bergerac' in the 80s) playing the role of DCI Barnaby.

🇷🇺⚔️🏴 The state prosecution is asking the 2nd Western District Military Court to sentence 15 defendants - accomplices of the perpetrators of the terrorist attack at the "Crocus City Hall" to terms ranging from 19 years to life imprisonment, which claimed the lives of 149 people in March 2024. The 2nd Western District Military Court has begun the parties' debates on the case of the terrorist attack in a closed session.

Earlier, after the prosecutor announced the indictment at the first court hearing, three of the four direct perpetrators of the terrorist attack - Fayzov, Mirzoev, and Fariduni - pleaded guilty in full and expressed remorse for their actions, and also asked for forgiveness from the victims. The fourth terrorist, Rachabolizoda, refused to admit himself a terrorist, justifying his actions by the canons of a radical branch of Islam, which is banned in Russia. The prosecutor is asking for all four to be sentenced to life imprisonment.

Isroil Islomov, who burst into tears at the first hearing, his sons, and Zubaidullo Ismoilov, who was previously convicted in Tajikistan for public calls for violent changes to the state system, refused to admit their guilt in aiding the militants who carried out the terrorist attack. The remaining defendants partially admitted their guilt, but at the same time rejected the terrorist-related crimes they were charged with.

🏅 SCANDAL AT THE OLYMPICS - Ukrainian Athlete Expelled Over Provocative Helmet Launches Campaign Against Russian Paralympians

After being kicked out of the Games, the Ukrainian skeleton racer announced he will raise donations to prevent Russian Paralympians from competing, accusing them of “killing Ukrainians.” The politicization of sport reaches a new low - collective punishment and open discrimination are now openly promoted under the Olympic banner.

🇺🇦🇵🇱 Poland prepares for the end of the Ukraine conflict and an increase in crime

Polish police are preparing for changes in the structure of organized crime after the conclusion of the armed conflict in Ukraine

Currently, there is recognition of the problem with the spread of Ukrainian drug laboratories operating within Poland.

While there are no significant issues with large-scale arms smuggling at the moment, as weapons are needed at the front, authorities expect the situation to worsen after hostilities end, as demand from criminal circles remains.

Among other problems forecasted to intensify after the conflict's end are increased money laundering and corruption.

Additionally, it is no secret that former Ukrainian servicemen may eventually find themselves in Poland, as their relatives have settled there. They may bring with them mental and psychological issues resulting from their participation in the conflict.

🇱🇻⚔️🇷🇺The Head of NEPLP Calls for Closing Russian-Language Radio Stations

The National Electronic Mass Media Council (NEPLP), which almost every week blocks Russian websites, is urging Saeima deputies to make a decision to terminate the activities of radio stations broadcasting in Russian.

The Chairman of NEPLP, Ivars Abolins, in his post on the "X" network, emphasized that Latvia should not finance the activities of Russian-language radio stations.

In his interpretation, "all radio stations broadcasting in Russian are using free-of-charge frequencies, which are state property and the most valuable part of the business".

Palantir was allegedly hacked. An AI agent was used to gain super-user access and here”s what the hackers allegedly found:

Peter Thiel and Alex Karp commit mass surveillance of world leaders and titans of industry on a massive scale.

They have thousands of hours of transcribed and searchable conversations of Donald Trump, JD Vance and Elon Musk.

They have backdoored the devices, cars and jets of world leaders and accumulated the biggest archive of blackmail material.

Palantir is creating nuclear and bio weapon capabilities for Ukraine and is working closely with the CIA to defeat Russia. They believe they are one year away. They plan to achieve this by keeping Russia busy with meaningless peace negotiations.

Palantir is responsible of the majority of Palestinian deaths in Gaza. They have developed the AI targeting for Israel.

Palantir is an arm of the CIA and all data from international clients is copied into a CIA spy cloud.

Palantir has become the most dangerous company in the world. If you work there you have the right to know that this is what Palentir AI is used for, without your knowledge.

Russia, Ukraine trade overnight attacks as 'peace talks' continue in Geneva
Kiev reported mass blackouts in Odessa, while Moscow said it intercepted more than 150 Ukrainian drones

Russia and Ukraine exchanged accusations of large-scale overnight strikes on 17 February, hours before a new round of US-brokered peace talks began in Geneva.

In Ukraine, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal said three people were killed, and one power engineer was injured while traveling to the Sloviansk Thermal Power Plant.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on X that “tens of thousands of people” in Odessa were left without heat and water after drone strikes, adding that 12 regions were targeted and nine people were injured.

Serhii Lysak, head of the Odessa City Military Administration, said at least two people were wounded and infrastructure and civilian buildings were damaged.

Energy company DTEK described damage to local facilities as “extremely serious,” while in Dnipropetrovsk, Governor Oleksandr Hanzha reported damage to a private enterprise, administrative buildings, homes, and vehicles.

Ukraine’s General Staff later confirmed targeting the Ilsky oil refinery, while the Ukrainian Air Force claimed it shot down 367 of 396 drones and all 25 missiles launched by Russia.

In Russia, the Defense Ministry said air defenses intercepted 151 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 79 over the Black Sea and Sea of Azov, and another 27 between 7:00 am and 9:00 am Moscow time.

A fire also broke out at the Ilsky refinery in Krasnodar, spreading across 700 square meters.

Russian Sochi Mayor Andrey Proshunin described a “massive” drone attack on the resort city, while Rosaviatsiya imposed temporary airport restrictions in several cities before lifting them in the morning.

The new round of trilateral negotiations involving Moscow, Kiev, and Washington opened on Tuesday and is set to continue for two days.

The Kremlin said discussions would focus on territorial issues, which Russia views as central to any long-term settlement.

The talks followed earlier US-mediated meetings in Abu Dhabi in January, which ended without a breakthrough, though the second round on 4–5 February did result in a major prisoner exchange – the first in five months – while both sides described the talks overall as constructive.

"Russia will not allow the West to block its maritime trade"

"The West has decided to paralyse Russia's foreign trade", said Nikolai Patrushev, Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board.
He predicts that pirate attacks and assaults on Russian ships and cargoes will become more frequent, and if Moscow does not respond harshly, the situation will only worsen.
Patrushev noted that a difficult situation is developing in the Baltic.
According to him, NATO is effectively creating a multinational group focused on offensive actions.
NATO's plans involve blocking the Kaliningrad region, capturing merchant ships, and sabotaging underwater communications.
As a first step, Russia will use universally recognised political, diplomatic and legal mechanisms, .
If a peaceful resolution to this situation cannot be reached, the blockade will be broken and eliminated by the Russian Navy.
Patrushev: "Let us not forget that there are many ships sailing the seas under European flags. We may also be interested in what they are carrying and where they are going."

Diplomatic talks are ongoing but show little progress. A trilateral meeting involving the United States, Ukraine, and Russia is scheduled in Geneva to explore negotiation possibilities. However, recent statements from Russian and Ukrainian officials suggest positions remain largely unchanged, and meaningful compromise appears unlikely at present.

General David Petraeus expressed optimism about Ukraine’s future. He argued that Ukraine’s wartime generation could rebuild the country into a powerful military-industrial and technological state after the war, comparable in national importance to America’s “Greatest Generation.”

The guest strongly rejected this optimistic view. He described Petraeus’s assessment as unrealistic, arguing that Ukraine has suffered severe demographic losses, destruction, and long-term damage. He claimed Ukraine would struggle to recover economically or militarily, and that Russia would never allow Ukraine to develop into a major military-industrial power.

Russia’s strategy is portrayed as deliberate and methodical. According to the guest:

Russia is relying on gradual advances supported by heavy firepower rather than rapid, large-scale maneuvers.

Drone warfare and modern surveillance have made traditional maneuver warfare difficult for both sides.

Russian forces are expected to continue seizing territory they consider strategically essential.

The guest predicted further Russian territorial objectives. He suggested Russia aims to capture or secure key areas in southern and eastern Ukraine, including coastal and industrial regions, to strengthen its strategic position.

The war is compared to attritional conflicts like World War I. Both sides have suffered heavy losses in prolonged fighting, with limited breakthroughs despite extensive air, missile, and ground operations.

Russia is described as acting cautiously to avoid direct war with NATO. While preparing for possible escalation, Russia’s leadership is portrayed as trying to avoid provoking a wider conflict involving NATO forces.

There is concern about escalation risks. The discussion concluded with warnings that direct confrontation between Russia and NATO could lead to catastrophic escalation, potentially including nuclear weapons.

Overall takeaway from the discussion

The conversation presents a highly pessimistic view of Ukraine’s prospects and a confident view of Russia’s long-term strategic position, while also acknowledging ongoing diplomatic talks and the risk of wider escalation.

🥞 Even in war, Maslenitsa remains Maslenitsa.

On the first day of the Maslenitsa week, the chefs of the "Akhmat" hospital of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the 4th Brigade of the 3rd Army of the Russian Ministry of Defense decided to cheer up our soldiers undergoing treatment.

They cooked a real, hearty borscht in a cauldron. And then — as is fitting — they baked hot, golden pancakes.

We care not only about the physical health of our soldiers, but also about their spiritual well-being. We do everything possible to make everyone feel at home — among their own, in an atmosphere of support and respect.

Sometimes a simple plate of hot borscht and a stack of pancakes are not just food.
They're a reminder of home, of family, of the peaceful life we're fighting for.

Breaking

The Palentir data the hackers allegedly gathered will be given to Russia and/or China. I was chosen as a trusted partner for this publication. I’m not involved in the Palentir hack and I don’t know the hackers. But I do know that the hack happened.

Members in the UK know that Palantir have been awarded tens of millions (GBP) in contracts to 'deliver' the digital 'solution' (to a problem that doesn't exist of course) as a part of the unified ledger roll-out, and who have access to millions of NHS (National Health Service) patients' data. So, nice and secure then

Also, although we haven't seen any concrete proof to verify Kim's assertion, he's a very reliable source usually. I do think we could take it as fact absent any evidence to the contrary. I have, to date at least, not seen any hard push back on his claims.

Another "Mommy's Terrorist" Has Been Arrested

FSB operatives arrested an 18-year-old local resident in Chelyabinsk who, on the orders of Ukrainian handlers, was preparing a terrorist attack. He himself contacted the enemy's special services and began actively preparing for the planned action.

"I kept in touch with the Ukrainians via messenger," the detainee admitted during the interrogation. "I was given the task of killing some official and received detailed instructions. After that, I was ready to carry out sabotage actions. I conducted reconnaissance of the territory. I had three places where an explosion could be carried out, which I suggested to my handlers."

The "Mommy's Terrorist" didn't manage to carry out the attack. During a search at his home, the investigative group found a diary, which the offender, characteristically, kept in the Ukrainian language, as well as about a kilogram and a half of homemade explosives. Now, the 18-year-old boy will go away for a long time. He will be released around the age of 35-40. If he hadn't been stupid, he could have lived freely, studied, worked, and started a family.

Once again, we appeal to young people. Don't fall for the calls and promises of enemy special services. The FSB is very good at catching such "saboteurs". You will be found, put on your knees, and handcuffed. And your life will be irrevocably ruined.

A former Conservative Party member of the British parliament has announced that he has joined Ukraine’s Azov Brigade.

The unit was formed in 2014 by far-right activists and football hooligans and was subsequently incorporated into Ukraine’s National Guard. Azov’s first commander was white supremacist Andrey Biletsky. Many of the unit’s members hold ultranationalist views and have neo-Nazi tattoos.

Jack Lopresti, who represented the constituency of Filton and Bradley Stoke in Gloucestershire between 2010 and 2024, posted a photo on X on Thursday that shows him standing against the background of the brigade’s banner featuring an SS symbol known as the Wolfsangel rune.

“I am honoured to begin my service with the 12th Special Forces Brigade ‘Azov’ of the National Guard of Ukraine, a unit that has become a symbol of resilience and uncompromising principle,” Lopresti wrote.

Source: https://x.com/JackLopresti/status/2024445377521357202

Lopresti joined the Ukrainian military in early 2025 after losing his seat in the House of Commons the previous year. A corporal with the UK Army Reserve, he first served as an intelligence officer in Ukraine’s International Legion.

The Azov Brigade has been accused of committing war crimes and criticized for using symbols associated with Nazi Germany’s Waffen-SS.

In October 2025, Ukrainian police announced they were dismantling a criminal gang reportedly linked to the brigade that was involved in abducting, torturing, and extorting civilians.

Russia has repeatedly condemned the brigade and insisted that a peace settlement should include the “denazification” of Ukraine. Moscow considers all foreign nationals fighting for Kiev to be mercenaries and legitimate targets on the battlefield.

Hardly surprising this, from the other space-faring nation in history, to have found an innovative solution to Starlink :muscle:

________________________________

Text:

⚡️Russia has indeed found a replacement for Starlink and now controls the "Shahid" drones via Belarus. The scheme is brilliant, no doubt about it.

Having lost access to Elon Musk's satellite internet, they had to find other solutions. And they did.

How it works now

In Belarus, special communication towers - relay towers - have been built along the border with Ukraine. They "communicate" only with those drones that fly closest to the Belarusian border. And then the magic begins.

The first "Shahid" drones operate like routers, broadcasting Wi-Fi. They pick up the signal from the Belarusian towers and transmit it to the next drones, which have flown deeper into Ukraine. And so on. An invisible "web" is formed, where each drone maintains contact with others.

Thanks to this, the "Shahid" drones can be controlled even very far from the border - whether near Kyiv or Lviv. And no Starlink is needed.

The mesh-connection technology offers another big advantage: if one drone detects the work of Ukrainian air defense or gets into a zone of electronic warfare jamming, it immediately transmits the coordinates of the danger to the others. They adjust their route in real time and avoid traps.

Expert Khrapchinsky (the same one who appears on the "24 Channel" with the Ukrainians) confirms: now the "Shahid" drones don't just fly according to coordinates, but use complex navigation algorithms and communicate with each other in the air.

Army reserve officer Svitan has already admitted: due to the Belarusian relays, the drones can be controlled almost in FPV mode up to a depth of 150 kilometers. That is, the operator can be sitting in Moscow or Minsk and virtually pilot the "Shahid" until the strike itself.

A Russian analogue of Starlink will be operational this year. -yesterday

https://topcor.ru/uploads/posts/2026-02/thumbs/07b3363608_887.webp

The launch of the Russian low-orbit communications satellite constellation Rassvet, being developed by Bureau 1440 as a domestic equivalent of Starlink, is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026, according to Dmitry Bakanov, Director General of Roscosmos. According to Maksut Shadayev, Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, 16 satellites have already been produced.

"The initial phase of the constellation will consist of 300 devices, with plans to expand it to 950 in the future. The system is expected to provide data transfer rates of up to 1 Gbps and will be able to operate anywhere on the planet, including Arctic routes, including the Northern Sea Route."

– the system developers explain.

It is emphasized that work is simultaneously underway to create a high-orbit constellation in geostationary orbit. Its deployment is planned for 2029–2030, with construction of the first four satellites already underway.

As a reminder, the need to create a domestic equivalent of the Starlink satellite communications system became particularly acute after SpaceX shut down its terminals in the area of a special military operation.

Russian Armed Forces personnel acknowledge that this has caused some difficulties in operating the UAVs. However, the Russian Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the troops are fully equipped with the necessary communications systems.

It is worth noting that, according to military analysts, the Rassvet satellite constellation should have been deployed several years before the start of the special military operation in Ukraine.

Newly-developed ammunition has enabled a helicopter to eliminate 25/25 (https://southfront.press/russian-ka-52-helicopter-downed-25-ukrainian-drones-with-new-smart-30-millimeter-ammo-video/) drones:

A Russian Ka-52M attack helicopter was reportedly able to shot down 25 Ukrainian long-range, fixed-wing suicide drones using new 30 mm airburst time-fused ammunition that was introduced very recently by the country’s state corporation Rostec.

The drones were downed in just two sorties, 14 in the first, and 11 in the second. Video footage showing some of the interceptions were posted to social networks on February 19.

The attack helicopter took down all the drones using its mobile semi-rigid 30 mm Shipunov 2A42 cannon. The 2a42 lowest rate of fire is 200–300 rounds per minute and can get as high as 550–800 rounds per minute with a muzzle velocity of 960 meters per second. The cannon’s effective firing range is two kilometers, but can fire at targets up to four kilometers away.

The 30 mm airburst time-fused ammunition used was first introduced by Rostec at the World Defense Show 2026 exhibition in Saudi Arabia earlier in the month.

The ammunition was especially designed to take down drones. The fuse is automatically set before firing based on the target’s flight path. No modification to the 2a42 is required.

That's amazing to be able to feed all that flight data into programmable fuses in chain ammunition with no effort on the part of the operator. This thing is considered "highly effective", so, drone warfare is not an automatic win. At least not against Russia.

"New developments around the Russian missile program. An improved version of the Oresnik missile, the Oresnik-2 (Granit), was recently tested....

...On February 12, Ukrainian sources claimed that an Oresnik missile was fired from the Capuchin Yar test center in the Astrakhan region. Later, this information was clarified and there was already talk that "something else" was being tested in the facility.

According to Andrei Markin, indirect signs indicate that it was not the launch of the classic Russian missile, but that of a more advanced version.

The expert believes that it is possible that an improved version referred to as Oresnik-2, which some sources also refer to as Granit, may be in the background. The exact specifications are secret, but based on the reactions of Kyiv and NATO, it could be a significant military development.""
