A mods post to check out the problem with the post distortion in the post above. Our provisional best guess is that embedding a banned.video does this only when it's the first (opening) post of a thread. That's a new one on us. :)

But, edit to add (a little later): it doesn't appear to be that, either. There may be some unusual setting that John is using that causing this.

I could not add anything below the video like "source" link as I usually do ... so I created a clickable link the the title (above the embedded video) going to source in case embedded video does not play for some members ... same with twitter-video embeddings, some members could not see the twiitter-video and asked me to add source link below it ... which IS possible with twitter embed scripts here ... but for some reason, I do not know why ... it won't work with banned.video embedding here.

Using smartphone for this forum may differ to what I see/experience using PC.

Hopefully this info helps solving any future embedding bugs/issues.

The "Thanks" button vanished, and no video, only the links.

My guess is: quotes issue.

These quotes can be a pain in the ass when embedding external content in posts, but it can also be some issue when trying to escape them in the programming, anyway I do not know how the html was generated, it is just my guess, I had issues like this with Joomla sometime ago.

’ closing single quote
“ opening double quote
” closing double quote
` grave accent or backtick

The html generated points the issue, when the link (href) to banned.video start with: straight double quote " and finished with: closing double quote (also called smart quotes) ” and closing single quote ’
