Twickenham rugby stadium turned into walk-in vaccine centre

A spokesman for Twickenham Stadium said it was “proud” the venue would be supporting one of “the biggest walk-in vaccination events” in England.

Up to 15,000 first dose jabs are being made available for those in the local area who have not yet been vaccinated.

The British and Irish Lions are being used as poster boys for getting vaxed. Widely reported they are all getting their first and second before flying to South Africa.

One of my favourite rugby clubs is now using its higher profile players as poster boys reaching out to the wider community to come forward and do their bit by getting jabbed.

As a lifelong rugby fan I'm not even angry about it. I just feel devastated by the reach and insidious nature of this great evil.
